Nice little restaurant. Normally, I don't give 5 stars for a restaurant in a shopping center, but the food is excellent, the restaurant has a nice buildout and the service was great as well. The chef also gave us a sample of sashimi at the end. It was very good. We tried several specialty rolls - Lion King, Roswell, Bagel, Rainbow, and Ruby. We also tried the chicken katsu. The food is fantastic! It is absolutely wonderful and delicious in every way. It's actually probably some of the best sushi I've had in a really long time. They have some rolls with all fresh ingredients that are very well constructed, but i also noticed that they're quite generous because in every piece there was a generous amount of ingredients in there. While it's not an overly large role, you can notice the little things such as the roles that had fish on top flowed around and down the sides rather than just a small piece on top. The staff is very friendly and accommodating . The only maybe slight detractor is the price. They probably do price where most restaurants should and the price is good for the quality that you get, but it is a bit more expensive than any of the other sushi restaurants in the near vicinity. That'll probably keep me from returning often, but overall the food is so good, I will certainly be returning. read more

The food was so fresh- probably the freshest sushi I've had since we moved here. The ruby roll was amazing! We all loved it. Spicy tuna always a favorite. Let's just say, if you're in the area or even if you're not, go to Moida Sushi. This place rocks: it will be my go-to sushi spot when I'm in the Atlanta area. The sashimi and rolls were incredible, and all the other items we tried were tasty and fresh. The service is top-notch, and you know it's a good place when the staff knows half the people eating and greets them like family. I had the Kanisu, a signature roll which does not have rice or seaweed but is kept together by fresh cucumber which was all wonderful. My daughter and I went to Moida yesterday for an early dinner, and it was our first time visiting. We were immediately greeted by the host, the owner (I assume), and the sushi chefs. We felt so welcomed! The space was very clean and upscale yet casual vibe. They have a menu where you can see pictures of the sushi options which was so nice. We ordered three rolls including the rainbow roll, the bay roll, and the Roswell roll--all were incredible! Possibly the best sushi I've ever had. It tasted fresh and oh so delicious. After we were done, the owner sent over a complimentary tasting of sashimi! How kind! What a gem of a place. We live about 25 minutes away, but we will definitely be back in a few weeks for my daughter's birthday. It's our new favorite sushi place! read more

Meh...while the restaurant is new, it's just a little oddly run. The wait staff isn't rude but definitely not welcoming. They seemed a bit scattered as to who does what. The menu looked good until we learned that ALL of the crab is fake and there are probably 90% of their rolls that have it. I'm allergic to the dye in fake "Krab" so that limited my options. The edimame was cold and nothing came out in a planned time. The tempura vegetables were so oily and the dipping sauce was tasteless. The onion soup was good though. Moving to the rolls. Strange and sloppy cuts of the fish. Kind of plopped on the rolls and all rolls were tiny! For reference, grocery store sushi is larger in size (but I wouldn't eat that!) Was looking forward to it for lunch, got heirloom at 1:55 with my wife, and was told they are not seating anyone cause the owner stepped out. Wait, the sign out front says lunch served til 2:30. Sorry they say. Are you kidding me? A new restaurant that doesn't have many customers as it is when I go on there is turning away customers? As a frequent diner, I always go back to my favorite so far which is the Lion King signature sushi roll. It is delicious! I have had other menu items. The sushi is definitely where they stand out. I did try their Bulgoki Korean beef for dinner and thought that was OK. I thought it would have been better based on my sushi experiences. I had one of their sushi lunch specials that came with either soup or salad . We both had a salad which was very fresh with traditional ginger dressing . The chefs choice nigiri pieces - salmon , shrimp , tuna and super white were all large pieces and fresh . You also get a roll , which was outstanding .
