The cheesy focaccia was also phenomenal and we enjoyed a raspberry lemon croissant that makes my mouth water just thinking about it (but that one was a 1 day only promo so don't expect to order it :/). There's limited seating space so expect to take it to go! There was a line on a Saturday morning, but they were staffed well and it moved quick. The staff was friendly and though it was busy, I didn't feel rushed to make a decision. Will absolutely be coming back to this bakery, especially if I need any catering!

Got 2 sandwiches for lunch: the smoked pork and the roast beef sandwhich. Still can't decided which one was better because both were DELISH. The focaccia on the smoked pork was sooo soft and fluffy and light, combination of coleslaw with the pork was perfect. I thought there was no way the roast beef could be as good yet once again proven wrong. The challah was perfect and whatever cheese they had with the roast beef sandwhich was perfect. Pro tip: you can ask for the sandwiches to be heated up! As for the desserts: I really wanted a cake sweet treat but my eyes were bigger than my belly could handle. Got the maple pull, chocolate almond croissant , and ham and gruyere croissant. Which I cannot wait to eat tomorrow for breakfast!! Place is busy but moves fast. Side chairs and table to sit along the window.

I enjoyed their Bonito Sandos. It included: Egg, Avocado, Taiwanese Golden Kimchi, Yuzu Aioli. Packed with protein and many other goodies. I would have liked maybe some bacon or something for some crunch. The toasted bread gave it a crunch, but there were a lot of soft components. BUT it was very flavorful and FRESH ingredients, loved the kimchi. Would definitely eat again. I rounded my meal off with a Strawberry Matcha Latte, which had fresh strawberries cut up in it, and a Curry Clam. My exploring partner had a Vietnamese Banh Mi. It was made up of Roasted Chicken in Bonito Soy Sauce with Sesame Vinaigrette. It also had jalapeños and cucumbers - which she picked off. She topped her meal off with a Strawberry Black Tea. And of course, we both went away with cookies from the bakery, one cannot leave without additional goodies. Very wide selection of different Taiwan and other Asian treats. Stop in and check them out, you will not be disappointed!

The space has lots of windows with bright blue paint giving it a bright and open feeling. We went a little crazy with ordering and got a lot of items to bring back home. We got some macarons, a bacon egg & cheese croissant, a ham and Swiss soufflé, various scones and muffins, and croissants. When you order at the counter they can heat your food so the food we were eating immediately we had them heat. The lady helping us at the counter was kind and patient with us helping us pick out treats & I'm glad she helped as we loved everything we got. We also ordered a smoothie and an iced latte from the coffee bar which were both good. Overall we loved it and I can't wait to go sit down and eat there as well, I'll be sure to get some baked goods to go as well!

They looked beautiful I almost couldn't bare to bite into them (but of course I did). The chocolate covered Belgian waffle may have been the star of our show but the churro donut and spinach feta pastry were no less than 9/10s. My biggest qualm is that they listed on the website that they have chai lattes, and we were told they only had brewed chai. Quite disappointing. There were also a few interactions with stuff in which I felt a bit rushed or judged, especially when we were asking to get all of our pastries warmed (apparently the waffle stays cold ‍)

Give me a cake and a cup that thing is perfect. Stick a cute little candle on it so we don't burn down the neighborhood and call it a day.. However, if you are looking for birthday cakes, wedding cakes and much more, this is the exact place to go. The icing isn't too sweet. It's absolutely perfect and the cake is moist. Last year, (I waited that long) I sent Simone, the owner, a message on instagram to let her know I was frustrated about having trouble getting any of the crème puffs she was constantly advertising. They were one of my favorite pastries she made. (Obv not super important I just thought she may not know & what could it hurt giving her some input from a customer, she may know know?) In this message I also told her how long I'd been supporting her & why and how much I loved her bakery. She is black, female, and truly an artist and master at her craft. With a good personality, That being said; she unleashed her fury on me, one of the angriest most condescending messages I had ever read. Not sure if I caught her on a bad day or she just doesn't handle feedback well. I was stunned and disappointed. Either way, I would never consider stepping foot into her bakery ever again. Her window has maybe 5 things to choose from. It's pretty sad, but there were 2 items I love love loved, and I drove out of my way and paid top dollar for those items. She's by far one of the most expensive bakeries in St. Louis, but I enjoyed supporting her I thought she was great. And she has a moving story. Sadly she doesn't know how to handle customers or feedback. I'm in customer service, 30 years, that's not how you do it, I still think she's a cool Person but not enough to support her. Honestly, if you judged it by the outside, you might drive right past it. There is one parking spot in front, and then a run down parking lot behind and to the side. The moment I walked in, I felt like I was back in my childhood. The lime green decor, the dark bakery display cases filled with buns, and the small plates of food inside reminded me of the Cantonese bakeries I grew up going to. They also had ready to go meals wrapped up to take home. We bought a bunch of things to try. We had the beef cheung fun, siu mai, BBQ pork baos, sesame balls, egg custard tarts, and one of my favorites, the giant round sponge cake. Everything was fresh and really tasty. The roast pork looked delicious too, with nice crispy skin. The biggest surprise for me was seeing lo po beng (Old Wife Cake). We can hardly ever find it on the East Coast, so whenever we do, we always buy some for my mom. Seeing it here made me so happy. I live in the Metro D.C. area, where we have some really good Cantonese bakeries, so I wasn't expecting much from this tiny place. But honestly, Wei Hong Bakery could definitely give many of the bakeries back home a run for their money. Don't let the outside fool you. If you're looking for authentic Cantonese bakery items in St. Louis, this little bakery is absolutely worth a visit. It brought back so many childhood memories, and I'd definitely stop again the next time I'm in town.
