I thought this breakfast place was really bad. I ordered from the lite menu the avocado, egg white and cheese on English muffin with hash browns. There was no cheese but waitress claimed mixed in with egg. Who does that? The hash browns were oily and tasted awful. The sandwich was dry and honestly I think this was the worst breakfast I have ever eaten out. The waitress was not nice too and she acted as if she was doing us a favor by working there. Very clean, competent service; food is very good. Companion thoroughly enjoyed her food: bacon (very good and not greasy) perfect eggs and grits. Orange juice is fresh and coffee just right. My waffle was perfect and real maple syrup is available at a reasonable cost. read more

We had breakfast which was delicious and our waitress Jenna was awesome. The price of the coffee was a deal breaker for us. $4.75 for a cup of black coffee is outrageous. Unfortunately because of that we will not be going back. read more

Went on 2/10 and thought I'd wait a while to post a review but I do have to agree that this place is a disappointment after waiting so long for it to open. My son and I went in (Monday morning) not busy. We waited about 5 min for a server to appear. I got regular coffee. It was never refilled without me hunting someone down to get it. Onto the food. For $17 we got a 2 egg breakfast w 2 bacon 2 sausage and pancakes. Everything came out ICE cold not just cold. I asked for crispy bacon and I got very soft and undercooked bacon and the sausage were also undercooked, gross. For $50 I will go down the street to a wonderful restaurant with consistent food and fab service. I understand that Yolk just opened, but it's common sense to train staff to cook and serve edible food that's not ice cold. Sorry, won't be back. Wayyy overpriced! read more

First time at Yolk. Heard & read mixed reviews. Our waitress, Jenna was sweet & helpful. It was an overcast day but we asked for an outside table. We were advised that if it started to rain they could not move us inside. Of course it started to rain. Jenna quickly got us seated inside. I ordered the yogurt with granola & berries. My husband & grandson had burritos. My son had an omelet. We all enjoyed our meals. read more

Tried Yolk for the 1st time yesterday & I think it deserves more than 3 1/2 stars. Ate inside as it was windy & cold. The receptionist was on a call & sat us after hanging up. Ordered the kale & cauliflower omelette which comes w/either cheese grits (yum but a bit peppery) or hash browns, & also 2 huge pancakes. Delish! My only complaint (imho) is that the kale was very raw & would have preferred a smoother (massaged) chew. Service was perfect, staff was very friendly ... I still have enough leftovers for 2 more meals!! read more

I was looking forward to going to this place but there was delay after delay of them opening. It's been worth the wait!. Everything I've had in the 4 times I've been there has been delicious. Kinda my regular Sunday morning thing now. My favorite food has been the cheese grits. As a real southerner, I know how hard it is to make it and balance the cheesy with the creamy. Pancakes are good too and hardly needs syrup. If I have a complaint, I will say that compared to other breakfasts in the area, they are a little bit pricey. If you don't mind paying more for great food and service, look no further. I like the outside tables this time of year but I'm curious what happens when it gets too hot. read more

Food was good but the service was terrible. The servers spent a lot of time standing around chatting with each other while we were wishing someone would please refill our coffee cups . This meant we had to physically try and wave or flag someone down just to get any service. Someone might want to remind the staff that they are all there to take care of the customers. Instead it seemed many were there to enjoying their own little employees social hour. I'm guessing the boss was not around but perhaps he/she needs to be. We are in no rush to go back. ‍ read more

Yolk is a joke and the Yolk was on us! Ate outside, inside was freezing. Food looks good, but for all the variety, it is absolutely tasteless. They charged $4.75 for a terrible tasting cup of coffee. Have been waiting for this place to open and I know it's new so I assume that they are still working out the kinks. However a few key problems to bring to their attention: we had to wait 20 minutes for a table for 2 people even though there were open tables for 4 with no wait that were free our entire time there. They have 2 doors which makes the line and the server food delivery a chaotic mess. Our food was cold and the soda machine wasn't working. Worst of all my husband was in the bathroom with a male server who came out of the stall and walked out without washing his hands. Ewwwww. Yolk - I know you can do better. read more

In almost all restaurants if you order eggs with corned beef hash, a side of potatoes or grits comes included in the order, no you don't pay extra for it. At other restaurants when you order toast with your breakfast you get two slices of bread, not one. Complain about the abundance pepper in the grits? Well, obviously that is how you make them. Maybe you need to go to some good breakfast places, like Eggcettera, Pete's and Gun Club and learn how breakfast should be done. I give this restaurant 6 months, but then again maybe there are enough millennials that want cauliflower and kale in their eggs to keep you going. Good luck. read more

We were very happy to learn that Yolk has opened in Boynton! To make it even better, our favorite server, Jenna, came to this location after the Boca location closed. We love the pancakes here! I prefer the scrambles with veggies and my husband likes the omelets with meats. This location is a little further for us than Boca was but it is worth the drive. read more

I really like the Yolk Diner! I went for lunch with a few friends and enjoyed it so much that I returned the following day. During our first meal, one of my friends mentioned that the pancakes were fabulous, so I had to go back to try them myself. My friend was not kidding! The pancakes were huge and fluffy, the blueberries were plentiful, and the syrup was exceptionally good. Of great importance is that the service was extraordinary for a little diner! Each member of the staff smiled and went out of her way to accommodate our needs. We can't wait to go back! read more

Honestly, the restaurant may be nice, but the service is very bad, especially from the waitresses, they are very distracted. The value of the food for what they serve on the plate is very little, and they put the plate on my table cold. Went there for my birthday breakfast. We sat outside. Hostess was very nice, as was the very nice young lady who took care of us. Food was delicious. I waited so long to visit and was looking forward to it. I'm very compassionate to servers. I used to be one myself. I also hate sending anything back. The restaurant was crowded but there was no wait. I ordered what should have been a very common item on the menu. Combo... Eggs, sausage, bacon and pancakes (with no powdered sugar). I asked for the sausage well done. Both the sausage and bacon we're extremely undercooked. I sent it back. When it came back it was the same eggs and pancake with better cooked sausage and bacon. The eggs were now cold and dry and the pancakes were cold. I sent this back as well. I figured third time's the charm. This time it was freshly made eggs, probably the same bacon and sausage, but now the pancakes had heaps of powdered sugars on it. This was delivered by the manager. I asked for a separate plate so I could just get the pancakes remade. This way the rest didn't get cold again. I was apologetic for having to send everything back. They seemed kind and understanding. To be honest.... Even when they finally got the order right.... The food was just so so. Such a shame. It is a very charming restaurant and has a nice menu in addition to their breakfast items. Did not have a great experience here. Went with my family out to lunch. The server was extremely nice but they never came out to refill any drinks or coffee. The food was the real issue: coffee was cold, eggs over easy were cooked solid, grits weren't cooked right, and the chicken sandwich was bland and the chicken breast only filled up half of it. I hope the food improves because I want them to succeed, but there's some real gaps in customer service and food quality that need to be addressed. read more
