WARNING! Have you noticed your butt is getting bigger every time you eat a yogurt from here? Want to know why? Well, while I was there they were getting the yogurts ready for the day and cake mix flavor has several boxes of real vanilla dry cake mix added to it, snickers has real snickers candy bars mixed in, cookies & cream has several packages of Oreo cookies added to the mix..... You get the idea. They used to have the calories posted, which were pretty low (100 calories per 3/4 cup) but now that they add all this stuff they took the calories down. You are basically eating a Blizzard from Dairy Queen with all the toppings already mixed in. I still gave it 5 stars because when all those candies & cake are added to your yogurt, it's simply the best. read more

One of my friends used to always try to get me to try Fro You but I never did. It has been so hot lately that I said I might as well go check it out. I am so glad I did. This place is awesome. Good flavors but for me it is all about the toppings. They have a ton of them. The only problem with this place is the crowds. I have been there three this week and it always seem to be people in this joint. Now twice it was only a couple but I went on night after 8 and it was ridiculous. They were the old and the young in here. Even some people stopped by on their way to prom, now that was crazy. Limo pull up and a bunch of kids jumped out. Since I live only a couple of blocks away I might get in trouble with this place because I want to go everyday. I might need to move just because I don't to get addicted to Fro Yo!!! read more

What can I say about this place that everyone else hasn't? Great little yogurt shop, never busy when I go, thank goodness because the lines out the door would probably turn me away :) Bring a coupon and 2 medium yogurts has always been under $5 for me.. the yogurt tastes GREAT.. by far surpasses Golden Spoon which is bland compared to Yogurt Express. Definitely the cheapest place in town. We usually get ours for about $1.50 each. The only thing that stinks is that there is absolutely not one place to sit. Lots of empty place inside and our and nary a bench or a chair. Not sure what's up with this. No. I will never go here again. The Selection sucks. I just walked out the girl working didn't even notice or stop telling her story about some drunk guy this and that. They have no fresh fruit what so ever. Place could use a remodel. It looked extremely ghetto. I drove out to try to fulfill my crave and found this place on yelp but I was so beyond words disappointed by the service and the appearance of the store and the products. I was so upset with the waste of time and the lack of satisfaction for my crave. I would never recommends this place and hope the management takes the time to fix their shop. read more

Would love to to give five stars. Held off because there is no seating indoors or out. We love this place- variety of serve-yourself flavors and toppings. Ex: Nutella on Tuesdays- yum. Hands down the best frozen yogurt place in east county, maybe even in San Diego. But, I haven't tried them all so I can't say for sure. I live in Lakeside and I would and do travel to La Mesa to get superior yogurt from Yogurt Express. They have just recently added a flavor called Chocolate Chip Cookie dough that is excellent. And they are the only place where you can find Oreo dust (just the chocolate part of the Oreo all crushed up into dust)...my favorite! The yogurt is creamy and the price is good at 29 cents per ounce. Other self serve shops are 35 cents per ounce. Please add Vanilla Wafer to your round of flavors more often. I had it once a few months ago and haven't seen it since. It's a good one! read more

Its a small neighborhood yogurt shop, but they do make good and affordable frozen yogurt. The menu changes daily but my favorite is the Ghiradelli chocolate. They have a good selection of mix ins also. You can't go wrong with oreos or gummy bears. read more

I used to love yogurt mill and then I moved by yogurt express when I was in college. All I have to say is - - it's self serve so you can put however much, try as many flavors (without feeling like you are bugging anyone) and then add whatever toppings. not sure how long this great pricing model has been around but paying for your yogurt by weight is a brilliant idea! add on top of this the fact that they honor all competitor coupons and have student pricing, it's no wonder this place is packed non-stop! it's tricky to find your first couple times there as the shopping center is pretty small and parking isn't abundant but get yourself in and you'll enjoy the weekly rotation of yummy unique flavors as well as your steady favs. i love trying all of the unique flavored ones like taro and mango and of course classics like mint, peanut butter and cheesecake. there are always some sugar-free/low sugar options too. the only thing that'll take you time to master is how to save room in your cup for your choice of the many toppings you can put in. warning, the yummiest toppings are often the heaviest too so find the right balance for your customized creation and enjoy! read more

This is one of the cheaper frozen yogurt places now a days - 29 cents an ounce. It is certainly a great deal, and the yogurt itself is good. However, they do not offer fruit toppings like the ones available at Yogurtand. I was disappointed with the demeanor of the staff. There were two employees, sitting down having a conversation. There was no smile or "hello" when I came in, and they continued to chatter away as I got my frozen yogurt. Unfortunately, they no longer offer the student discount, so i'm not so sure I will continue to go here. For 4 cents more, other FroYo shops offer more flavors and fresh fruit toppings. read more

My husband and I were regulars here when we lived in the area. They have some interesting yogurt flavors, which are rotated out each week, and they also put up a calendar to let you know which days they will serve a particular flavor. They have a Captain Crunch yogurt, which I loved, but it was only available a few days out of the month. Their raspberry pomegranate was my go-to fruity flavor. They also have a pretty good selection of toppings that I haven't seen in other frozen yogurt shops. read more

I got frozen yogurt a few weeks back after a hiatus of a few years. When I went to SDSU and all my friends lived in the area, I probably would get frozen yogurt here at least once a week. Coming back a few years later I was not at all disappointed! They always have a large variety of options of frozen yogurt, my favorites are the cake batter and butterfinger. Yogurt Express is the only place I have ever known to have 'oreo dust' which is very finely ground oreo powder. It is my favorite to mix in with my frozen yogurt. Their prices are excellent and I think that the quality is significantly better than any chain frozen yogurt. The only downside for me is its far from home, but when I am in the area Yogurt Express is a great treat! read more

I love this place! I found out about it from a family friend and when I was in college at SDSU, my sorority friends and I would go all the time. I couldn't get enough of it. The price is excellent. I love that I can mix in my own ingredients and have a different ice cream every time. My first job was at a Coldstone and I loved mixing in different ingredients each time. After I quit, I was not going to pay the $3 for a small ice cream with one mix it. I was so excited when I went to this place. My fiance recently told me we need to go back because it is fun!
