WARNING! Have you noticed your butt is getting bigger every time you eat a yogurt from here? Want to know why? Well, while I was there they were getting the yogurts ready for the day and cake mix flavor has several boxes of real vanilla dry cake mix added to it, snickers has real snickers candy bars mixed in, cookies & cream has several packages of Oreo cookies added to the mix..... You get the idea. They used to have the calories posted, which were pretty low (100 calories per 3/4 cup) but now that they add all this stuff they took the calories down. You are basically eating a Blizzard from Dairy Queen with all the toppings already mixed in. I still gave it 5 stars because when all those candies & cake are added to your yogurt, it's simply the best. read more

This place is wayy better than Yogurt Land. Better toppings (peanut butter sauce! ) more sizes to choose from, and better prices. Plus you're supporting a small business. read more

Yogurt express! The price, flavors, freshness, toppings and Jackie are all great!! This place is a local community favorite and their yogurt does not disappoint! The yogurt is the most fresh true-to-taste flavor you will eat anywhere! They rotate their flavors every couple days and they are always trying something new. Jackie who works there is amazingly friendly and you always leave with a big smile and yummy yogurt!! Tip-follow them on Instagram and you will always know which flavors they have available. read more

One of my friends used to always try to get me to try Fro You but I never did. It has been so hot lately that I said I might as well go check it out. I am so glad I did. This place is awesome. Good flavors but for me it is all about the toppings. They have a ton of them. The only problem with this place is the crowds. I have been there three this week and it always seem to be people in this joint. Now twice it was only a couple but I went on night after 8 and it was ridiculous. They were the old and the young in here. Even some people stopped by on their way to prom, now that was crazy. Limo pull up and a bunch of kids jumped out. Since I live only a couple of blocks away I might get in trouble with this place because I want to go everyday. I might need to move just because I don't to get addicted to Fro Yo!!! read more

The yogurt was good, but both times I walked in, I was treated like a second class customer. There was no greeting in or out. I don't know what the deal was, but I did not feel like I was welcome there any time I walked in. read more

I'm so spoiled by this place! I love that I can make my own creation just how I like it! Paying by weight is fantastic and the fact that they charge by weight is so clever! I love that they honor competitor's coupons too! Can't go wrong! This place is always packed and the parking lot is TINY...so be prepared! read more

What can I say about this place that everyone else hasn't? Great little yogurt shop, never busy when I go, thank goodness because the lines out the door would probably turn me away :) Bring a coupon and 2 medium yogurts has always been under $5 for me.. the yogurt tastes GREAT.. by far surpasses Golden Spoon which is bland compared to Yogurt Express. Only reason not giving 5 stars is because I wish they had the tart flavors :) read more

This place has the best frozen dairy yogurt hands down!! I've had lots of others in the county and still the best

Definitely the cheapest place in town. We usually get ours for about $1.50 each. The only thing that stinks is that there is absolutely not one place to sit. Lots of empty place inside and our and nary a bench or a chair. Not sure what's up with this. I much prefer being able to eat my yogurt at the shop rather than having it melt while I drive home. read more

No. I will never go here again. The Selection sucks. I just walked out the girl working didn't even notice or stop telling her story about some drunk guy this and that. They have no fresh fruit what so ever. Place could use a remodel. It looked extremely ghetto. I drove out to try to fulfill my crave and found this place on yelp but I was so beyond words disappointed by the service and the appearance of the store and the products. I was so upset with the waste of time and the lack of satisfaction for my crave. I would never recommends this place and hope the management takes the time to fix their shop. read more

AMAZING AMAZING PEOPLE. I love the atmosphere and the workers. It's always a pleasure coming in. We don't go there just for yogurt but to socialize with the workers there. They always ask how we are doing and even know what's happening in our personal life. They always take a step beyond for customer service. read more

Our family loves this shop and we have been going here for years. Its not a fancy place, but it always delivers great yogurt for a good price and they also have a lot of topping options. I also really appreciate that they update their flavors for the week on instagram! Makes it easy to know when I want to come in:) read more

two words: cookies + cream. best. flavor. ever. In addition to being ludicrously delicious, yogurt express is affordable, friendly, clean and open pretty late. before the yogurt-flavor-of-the-day calendar i just had to take my chances. would it be a cookies and cream sort of day, or not? now i don't even have to be lucky, just on schedule. i guess if the C&C just isn't your style you could try their other delicious flaors, ghiradelli chocolate anyone? ooh crap, i think i just drooled a little bit. yogurt express you rock. read more

Good, cheap yogurt. That about sums it up. Nothing really remarkable going on here, aside from low prices. Limited flavors, run of the mill toppings, but did I mention it was cheap? For those who go 3 times a week, this place is a God send. For those with more discriminating palates, there are better choices available (Crave - right down the street, Pink Berry - Gaslamp, Yogurt World - Mission Valley). read more

Good yogurt but only one option for sugar free and no fat free if you're into those options! Toppings were basic.

Hands down the best frozen yogurt place in east county, maybe even in San Diego. But, I haven't tried them all so I can't say for sure. I live in Lakeside and I would and do travel to La Mesa to get superior yogurt from Yogurt Express. They have just recently added a flavor called Chocolate Chip Cookie dough that is excellent. And they are the only place where you can find Oreo dust (just the chocolate part of the Oreo all crushed up into dust)...my favorite! The yogurt is creamy and the price is good at 29 cents per ounce. Other self serve shops are 35 cents per ounce. Please add Vanilla Wafer to your round of flavors more often. I had it once a few months ago and haven't seen it since. It's a good one! read more

I love how it's self serve and they change their flavors every once in awhile. They also give discounts to SDSU students which is awesome and its pretty close to campus. The parking lot is really small though.. read more

This the cheapest place to get fro yo in all of SD! The flavors are kinda limited but it's still enough, you'll find something you like! Promise! read more

You can do your own toppings which is nice. They have sugar free options, the best is cookies and cream! Butterfingers/Reece's is good too!

6 selections of yogurt. ..clean..low amount of fruit toppings..large amount of everything else toppings... Why 2 stars? No greeting. I spoke and still there was no greeting b/c the 2 guys that were working conversation was too important. Only when I went up to the counter was when I was acknowledged. #Rudeness read more

29 cents an ounce! Deliciously cheap with lots of toppings ur didn't have cheesecake bits:( but they have some amazing flavors so I love this place! read more

What an awesome new little place. Love the option of toppings and making my own creation and when they do the price by weight It's awesome and not expensive at all. This is one of our new places to venture too. The only problem is that it's alittle small so when your getting toppings etc...you have to dodge happy excited children lol read more

Its a small neighborhood yogurt shop, but they do make good and affordable frozen yogurt. The menu changes daily but my favorite is the Ghiradelli chocolate. They have a good selection of mix ins also. You can't go wrong with oreos or gummy bears. read more

Best deal on yogurt in San Diego! Try the cookies and cream or mounds, my two favorites. No place to eat so grab and head over to the lake.

Very rude staff! Someone left the handle down on one of the yogurt dispensers, the staff member Rudely stormed over to the machine and threw the handle up roughly. I'm not sure they even know how to greet customer or smile! Yogurt was okay! Will not be a return customer. read more

Very yummy! Awesome toppings and definately priced the way yogurt should be. Blows any yogurt place in la mesa out of the water

Been coming here for as long as I can remember. Just recently "re-found it". WOW. Literally HALF the price of other yogurt joints, but just as good, if not better. Excellent selection of both yogurts and toppings, and the price can't be beaten! read more

I've been coming here for years now, and it's the only shop I've seen carob chips, my fav! The flavors are simple and the toppings are always fresh. read more

favorite yogurt spot in San Diego :) my whole family has been coming here for years and we've never been disappointed! we love the owner, Jackie, she's always been amazing! perfect amount of choices of yogurt and toppings. perfect place to bring your kiddos or your sweetheart! read more

I used to love yogurt mill and then I moved by yogurt express when I was in college. All I have to say is - - it's self serve so you can put however much, try as many flavors (without feeling like you are bugging anyone) and then add whatever toppings. It's based on weight but the prices are really good even if you pile on the toppings. Plus they give discounts to students. read more

not sure how long this great pricing model has been around but paying for your yogurt by weight is a brilliant idea! add on top of this the fact that they honor all competitor coupons and have student pricing, it's no wonder this place is packed non-stop! it's tricky to find your first couple times there as the shopping center is pretty small and parking isn't abundant but get yourself in and you'll enjoy the weekly rotation of yummy unique flavors as well as your steady favs. i love trying all of the unique flavored ones like taro and mango and of course classics like mint, peanut butter and cheesecake. there are always some sugar-free/low sugar options too. the only thing that'll take you time to master is how to save room in your cup for your choice of the many toppings you can put in. warning, the yummiest toppings are often the heaviest too so find the right balance for your customized creation and enjoy! read more

My sons favorite do it yourself yogurt spot. I like that you can see the flavors on their website before you go.

This is one of the cheaper frozen yogurt places now a days - 29 cents an ounce. It is certainly a great deal, and the yogurt itself is good. However, they do not offer fruit toppings like the ones available at Yogurtand. I was disappointed with the demeanor of the staff. There were two employees, sitting down having a conversation. There was no smile or "hello" when I came in, and they continued to chatter away as I got my frozen yogurt. Unfortunately, they no longer offer the student discount, so i'm not so sure I will continue to go here. For 4 cents more, other FroYo shops offer more flavors and fresh fruit toppings. read more

My husband and I were regulars here when we lived in the area. They have some interesting yogurt flavors, which are rotated out each week, and they also put up a calendar to let you know which days they will serve a particular flavor. They have a Captain Crunch yogurt, which I loved, but it was only available a few days out of the month. Their raspberry pomegranate was my go-to fruity flavor. They also have a pretty good selection of toppings that I haven't seen in other frozen yogurt shops. read more

Would love to to give five stars. Held off because there is no seating indoors or out. We love this place- variety of serve-yourself flavors and toppings. Ex: Nutella on Tuesdays- yum. We have gone here for many years. Parking can be difficult- just go around the corner to Big Lots and Patty's Cafe parking. read more

I love this place! I found out about it from a family friend and when I was in college at SDSU, my sorority friends and I would go all the time. I couldn't get enough of it. The price is excellent. I love that I can mix in my own ingredients and have a different ice cream every time. My first job was at a Coldstone and I loved mixing in different ingredients each time. After I quit, I was not going to pay the $3 for a small ice cream with one mix it. I was so excited when I went to this place. My fiance recently told me we need to go back because it is fun! You're missing out if you have never been there before! read more

Peanut Butter Cup flavor is sooooo freeeeaken good! I stop here at least twice a week.

I have been going here for a year now and I never thought anything of it until I went to another fro yo place. You guys really know what yall are doing and I appreciate your late hours. Too many times do I find myself wanting to find happiness at a bottom of a fro yo cup at 11pm. read more

Its a little yogurt place, it has no seats or tables only 6 flavors, the vanilla tasted like syrup but the pomegranate was good. Price is good thats why i give it 2 stars, other than that i will not go back there. read more

Yogurt express rules and I almost don't want to post a good review because I don't want it to get more crowded, but I can't lie. The best flavor is Kailua, but basically you can't go wrong with any flavor. They also have sugar free options if you need that. And the prices are fair. They took out the small table and bench they used to have so you can either sit on the curb in front or eat it in your car even though you promise yourself you're going to take it home. read more
