The best price for frozen yogurt you will find in San Diego. It is delicious of course, not my favorite, but since it's within a mile of where I live I frequent it often. Best perk for coming here is the stamp card, a free any size yogurt after ten purchases. Yogurt express rules and I almost don't want to post a good review because I don't want it to get more crowded, but I can't lie. The best flavor is Kailua, but basically you can't go wrong with any flavor. They also have sugar free options if you need that. And the prices are fair. They took out the small table and bench they used to have so you can either sit on the curb in front or eat it in your car even though you promise yourself you're going to take it home. read more

We have been going to the yogurt express for the last couple years. It is always clean, friendly and the yogurt is GREAT. Now the price, IT ROCKS, we spend less on four yogurts then two ice creams, for me the Dad, who makes the coin that is the Nice " No sugar added "is my choice. Yogurt Express is a little bit out of the way if you're living by or going to San Diego State - but if you're tired of eating Yogurtland every weekend it's a good alternative. What I really enjoy about the yogurt here is that it tastes SO real, compared to the bigger chain fro yo businesses. The texture is thicker and has a milkier taste to it. This place has been around for forever. I remember going here after sports games on the weekends back in kindergarten and gradeschool. I visited again recently and they are still very good. This place has been here as long as I can remember. It apparently survived the Great Yogurt Downturn of 1988(ish), by which time many other local shops had disappeared as the fro-yo fad faded. Although I'm sad that they took the '80s neon sign out of the window (with a little train chugging along - Yogurt "Express", get it?) and the decor is decidedly blah, the yogurt flavors are excellent. True, there may be one or no tart option, but I like my yogurt in the sweeter category. If you're looking for mung-bean flavor or something equally exotic, and cute little stools on which you can chat with friends, this is not the place. But if you like cheap, delicious yogurt you can serve and topping-up yourself, and down-to-earth staff, go here. Just GO THERE! This place is super cheap, especially if you are a student. They do not have tart flavors or a fruit selection for toppings, but their yogurt is very good and the price cannot be beat. Hands down, my fave place for quick cheap yogurt! They post the daily flavors on their website so sometimes I check before I go, but they always have Chocolate, Vanilla, and a couple other anchor flavors. If it's your first time to YE, pay attention. No one behind the counter will offer an explanation to help you figure out what to do if you have that stupid dear-in-headlights look in your eyes. They actually might snicker a little bit, but that's why I like this joint. It's easy, and you get exactly what you want. You hafta tap the cup. I don't care how stereotypically American it makes me look. Tap that damn cup and get as much as you can in there. Another thing. Fill cup about two thirds of the way and THEN pick up your toppings. This is a great shop with good yogurt. LOTS of topping options too. What stands out for me is that they have wow cow low lactose yogurts, and they always have 2 flavors of it. They are real "ice cream" flavors too like chocolate, mocha and orange/vanilla. I love this place! I discovered it by going to the Beyond Pilates classes located in the same parking lot. I've been eating a lot of froyo at different places and this place is by far the best and they have THE BEST CRUSHED ALMONDS EVER. Seriously I'm obsessed. I love that they change the flavors daily. There is no seating but I never intended to hangout and eat there so it never even crossed my mind that there weren't seats until I read the other reviews lol. I'm a yogurtaholic. This is one of the best places ever. They constantly change their flavors and they even post the flavors for the week online! There sugar free and wow-cow flavors are best ever. Hopefully they really are SUGAR FREE because they sure don't taste like it :) Their cake batter is yummy and they always have other candy flavors like chocolate and peanut butter and then cookies and cream at some point of the week.
