Helloooooooooooooooo loverrrrrrrrrr Is what I said to my blueberry Wow Cow fro yo cone this afternoon after work. Other fave flavors: BANANA, Marshmallow, Angel Food Cake, Cookies and Cream (the best I've had at any fro yo place) and the PB is delicious. Minus one for not having the one topping that I've recently become addicted to... mochi balls. I love that they'll take my Yogurt Mill coupons (buy one get one free) or if I forget that I get a student discount. They take Visa, but no Amex. Also, they stamp a card. So every tenth time you get a free one. So when you need your fix and can't rally a friend up to going with you last minute a free fro yo awaits you! mmmmmm read more

Great yogurt, BAD customer service. The yogurt here is fantastic and it really upsets me that I received bad customer service. I walked in tonight and couldn't even tell who worked there because a group of people were just standing in the corner chatting. I was not greeted but just let it roll off my back and continued on to get my yogurt. After I was finished I walked up to the register and was still not given a hello or even a smile. I proceeded to put my yogurt on the scale and me, not knowing that this place weighs multiple orders together, told the woman that I was paying for my friends' orders as well. She gave me an un-amused look and told me in a rude manner, "They all have to go up there." I'm sorry I wasn't aware because every place I've been to was different. She snatched the money from my hand and dropped the change in my hand, again with no smile... When my friends and I left, they turned around and began to continue the conversation that we must have rudely interrupted. There was no "Have a nice night." No, "Come again soon." If it's one thing that will change my mind about a business, it's definitely the customer service. It's disappointing for a place to have such great frozen yogurt and some of the worst customer service in La Mesa. I will NOT be returning and will definitely take my business to other yogurt shops where I'm given fantastic customer service with a smile. Completely let down. read more

Such a hole in the wall, but man do they have good yogurt! And it's super cheap! I love that they give you the freedom to taste with their little taster cups. I really liked their cookie dough and peanut butter flavors. They're extremely creamy and taste more like ice cream than froyo. I also love that they have oreo "dust" and oreo "chunks." Yogurt Express, you just get me. We will definitely be coming back. My only complaint is that I wish they had more fruit flavors. When we went, there was only blueberry or key lime pie. I also wish they had more fresh fruit toppings. But then again, maybe I'm just biased towards fruit. A great place for a date or family outing! read more

Just stopped on by tonight and this place is great tasting yogurt at a cheap price! Usually, the girlfriend and I will spend up to 8 dollars on yogurt, was only 4.67 here...! Highly recommended, my new go to yogurt spot in east San Diego! read more

If your mom owned a yogurt shop down the street, this would be it. The owner of this little joint is as good as it gets: Just like Mom. She's there every night making sure everything runs smoothly and her customers are as happy as kiddo's. If you're a student, it's only 24 cents an ounce or you can just print of a coupon online. OR (my favorite thing to do) you can bring in any competitors 2 for 1 coupon and literally get two for the price of one. My hubby and I have always gotten generous servings and never paid more than $4 total! Now that's a steal! You serve your own yogurt and pile on any as many or as little toppings as you like. They even change some of the flavors, which you can find on their website (yogurtexpress.net). My favorite is the peanut butter...mmmm! No, they don't have tart or fruit...just like Yogurt Mill. Yet, unlike Yogurt Mill, you never wait 45 minutes and it's always cheap. No one does it like Mom! read more

I heart Yogurt Express! I will drive to La Mesa from Northpark JUST for Yogurt Express. That's quite the sacrafice for someone who lives in SD! My favorite flavors are: cake batter with sprinkes & peanut butter and chocolate yogurt with receese peanut butter cups. The yogurt tastes just like ice cream, but a little healthier for you. Everyday they are changing flavors so every visit is a surprise! The owner is amazing. She's friendly, talkative and gets to know just about everyone who walks in. They have convenient hours of operation - open late! :) YUMMMMMM!!! read more

La Mesa, this is your go-to local yogurt shop. Even though they stopped taking competitor coupons, 29 cents per ounce or $6 for a quart is still the best deal in the county. They have a stamp card--buy 10 yogurts, get one free. This place is so good that my friends beg to walk over here whenever they come to visit. It's clean and well-maintained by their friendly staff (no sticky melted yogurt messes or toppings strewn all over the place), with a wide variety of toppings and flavors that change daily (aside from chocolate and peanut butter). My favorites are the Irish Mint and Kahlua. Check their website for this week's flavors. read more

Don't know what all the fuss is about. It's decent, it's cheap.... not a great choice of flavors. I like being able to choose from sweets and tarts and everything in-between. Everything was sweet or extra sweet (snickers, butterfinger, peanut butter). My fro-yo was around $1.75 and I handed the girl $2 not realizing right away I had a five. I asked if I could give her the 5 instead and she rolled her eyes at me. I explained that I wanted to be able to leave them a tip, not just some change.... and yet....another eye roll! Rude! Take my 50% tip and shove it up your ...... yeah.... I'll stick to the fro-yo establishments that appreciate my tips and have a better selection. read more

Excellent yogurt texture. Good toppings. Great price. Only set back is that there is NO seating inside or anywhere near. My favorite flavor is caramel peanut butter chip. So good! read more

I love this place. I have tried, and still try other places, but YE has always been the best. Very affordable!!

Simple, good, cheap prices. The people there are super friendly and you get to self sample all of the flavors before buying. They have a lot of choices of toppings my kids love it. Sometimes there is a line out the door but worth it. read more

I can't say this fast enough; healthy, tasty, treats...

My usual yogurt place is Yogurtland. It was my first time here. I came with a friend who's a regular here. He claims it to be the better than YogurtLand. And...oh yesss it is! I tried the Peanut Butter, and the Peanut Butter Cup, and Vanilla. Their prices are cheap! They also have a stamp card, which you don't see at many yogurt places. My favorite place for yogurt in San Diego! read more

Ha-this place is extremely ghetto! I basically fear for my life every time I come here. But my aunt likes it...so I go. Their prices aren't horrible I guess, at a whopping $0.32 an oz. They generally have a pretty good selection of fro-yo. Their toppings just seem a little weak. Give me some fresh fruit, some whip cream, some FRESH FRUIT! lol. And idk, the place isn't actually dirty, but it just feels dirty when you go in. This place is just in the ghetto and needs like a fresher upper or something. I would never come here if my Aunt didn't love it. read more

Small store, small flavor selection, very little fruit toppings, kind of warm inside but very good yogurt and prices nonetheless! Got 2 full small cups of froyo for $5! That's amazing. I like how they have a tray for sample cups so you can get as many as you need cause yogurt places where you have to ask for them are SO stingy lol read more

I'm not usually a huge fan of sweet (vs. tart) frozen yogurt, but this place has the potential to turn me around. My friend took me here for the first time and damn... self-serve, an abundance of toppings (easily 25+ choices), and so inexpensive I almost wept for joy. We got two medium-sized cups, probably 3/4 full of yogurt and a generous selection of topings, and with my friend's discount card it was less than five bucks for BOTH OF US. Hot damn. I'm lucky if I spend $4 on myself for the same amount of yogurt at Yogurt World on Convoy, my usual froyo haunt of choice. They don't appear to offer tart flavours, but the sweet flavours I sampled at Yogurt Express were subtly so, not sugary in an overwhelming fake ice cream sort of way. But really, bottom-line, you just can't beat the value for money. read more

Mmmmmm..... Yogurt Express. Freaking delicious MYO yogurt with an impressive selection of toppings and flavors. Usually crowded but you can pay quickly; never a line at the register. Sticky floor with a dash of East County. But freaking delicious. And the women that run the joint are always way nice. read more

Good, Cheap, Clean, and Yummy. My favorite flavor is Cake Mix and I love all of the layers and topping options. I go with a friend and we sit there afterwards and explain our reasons for the flavor decisions we made and the order. We are total dorks and I don't care. Go there and have fun, it's always busy. read more

I do not understand how anyone could give this yogurt shop under 5 stars. It is a neighborhood spot and definitely gives a family feeling for the La Mesa/San Carlos area. I would say the best flavors are the ones with little hints candy bars embedded. They are still one of the best priced yogurt spots around too! read more

Yogurt Express - Machines, toppings and of course, the creation! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - La Mesa, California

One of my favorite places to get frozen yogurt. I've been going here since college. My go to is the peanut butter frozen yogurt with Oreos on top! read more

This is the best yogurt in California! You pay by weight (24 cents/ oz) and if you have ANY competitors coupon, it's 50% off. You can not beat that deal. Try the peanut butter yogurt with crushed peanuts and chocolate jimmies...delicious. Make sure that you say hello to Jackie, ie: the yogurt lady. Their flavors change daily. They always have peanut butter, chocolate, vanilla, and they have one sugar free and 2 wow-cow flavors daily along with 2 other daily flavors. All of the yogurt is fat free. read more

Yogurt is ok, only have about 10 Flavors and only one at any given time is sugar free. None are low fat so for people like me that watch their sugar and fat intake, not many choices. The place is clean, the people who run it are nice, not overly friendly or anything but nice enough. The parking lot has really tiny spaces but We've found parking both times we've been there. It's not bad and I would go here again but only because there are not many other local options. I would prefer somewhere that offers those low fat no sugar options. read more

This is my family's FAVORITE yogurt shop! The best in San Diego we've had!!! A must-go for #yogurt #lovers!! Jackie works the counter and always brightens our day! read more

What's not to like? You make it as big as you want, with as much topping as you want... Some flavors change regularly, plus the requisite chocolate, peanut butter and vanilla. And to "top it off" (pun intended), the prices are really reasonable. read more

In collge my roommates and I had it down to a science to leave home after Friends, get to Yogurt Express, get our frozen yogurt and make it back to plop down in front of the couch by the time Will & Grace started. Now that I'm a little further away from this wonderful yogurt shop I don't go as often, but when I do go (usually after my dentist appointment next door or after a hike up Cowles Mountain, which yogurt totally defeats the purpose of both), I fall in love with the place all over. I don't think I've ever spent more than $3 for frozen yogurt (except the time my eyes were bigger than my stomach and I got a larger serving than normal) and am almost always granted the student discount. I also love that they have the frequent buyer card that earns you a free yogurt. Toppings are always fresh and in good supply. Flavors are nearly always working and pumping out the good stuff. read more

I usually write long reviews describing places in detail..... But I mean, come on...no need here. It's frozen yogurt - DAMN good frozen yogurt. You have all the toppings you could want; along with all the great flavors you could want (that they change up frequently). With that said. I can finally get to the point. THE PEANUT BUTTER YOGURT IS THE BEST YOGURT I'VE EVER HAD, EVER......... EVER. *Salivates* read more

My cunas and I Love this place! Mmm peanut butter is so good. Family that own it are so nice. Very affordable. Haven't been back to golden spoon or anywhere else since I found this gem in the wall! Yummmmmy! read more

Still 5 amazing stars! I brought my parents and they loved it! My father is a diabetic and was so happy they had no sugar added yogurt and sugar free topping. The price is unbeatable - 32 cents an ounce! I was able to get three small sized (trust me, it's plenty!!!!) with toppings for only $7. We will be back! read more

YES! This place has the best yogurt and really reasonable prices! I tried the carrot cake on Tuesday. It was insane. I mixed it with the peanut butter. Heaven. I'm soo glad they have a website that way you can plan when to go according to your faves! Please make dole whip soon! I'm so happy I live nearby too. To die for. read more

This is like a hole-in-the-wall bar. Not fancy, but it delivers. Prices are cheaper than any other place. Good selection of toppings. Limited selection of flavors on any given day, but they rotate and often mix it up with some oddball flavors. You can see what they have online, and they have a board on the wall so you can see what's coming up. Yay Pineapple! The yogurt itself tastes great. More like ice cream than anything. Never had any 'off tastes' or anything, never been sick or had any stomach problems, and I'be been here A LOT. So those people complaining about cleanliness can relax. read more

This yogurt place is a pretty iconic San Diego getaway to delicious froyo. Love the flavors they have, and every week they will switch around to unique flavors that taste really amazing. I always watch out for their pineapple flavor because it just tastes top-notch! Their toppings are really good as well with the variety of cereals, nuts, and chocolates, though they don't offer fresh fruit (doesn't bother me that much, but for some it might). Customer service there is always great and they are very kind. In all, a really great self-serve yogurt joint. read more

The best frozen yogurt in town. They blow Fiji Out of the water. No, there's no flat screen TV playing movies or seats inside, however their product is 10 times better and also far less expensive. They actually use real yogurt and real flavors. No chalky artificial taste. They also have much tastier flavors to choose from. This is our new yogurt spot! read more

They have the best yogurt in town. Cookies and Cream is amazing!! My friend and I both for yogurts with topping and it only cost $6. I am not even a fan of frozen yogurt but this stuff is delicious and the woman that works there is very nice. I will be back! :-) read more

In the fro-yo world this place is lacking. Pros- the man in the store was pleasant, store was clean, candy wise, they are few good options and price wasn't bad. Cons- the place lacks any uniqueness. As many report, no fresh fruit, no marshmallow toppings or anything unique past the peanut butter sauce. It just overall didn't impress me. This is in the suburbs of a big city, they should be pushing to bring more to the table. The yogurt it's self wasn't even worth finishing. I would rather mcdonalds soft serve vanilla. read more

Hands down, the best place to get froyo! Best pricing too! The cake batter is to die for! My daughter loves the fruit flavored froyo. We love that we get to control how many and how much toppings we put on too. read more

Asked Siri for the nearest yogurt shop and this is where she led me. Was a little dismayed no samples, toppings all individually packaged. Cups of toppings were more than what I sprinkle on top. Most yogurt shops are not still adhering to so many COVID precautions still... Cutest grandson wanted three toppings which were enough to share. Was pretty sure it was going to be expensive as they are also sold by weight. But, it was VERY reasonable. No fancy signs to let you know the calories, nonfat etc. I asked the nice guy at the counter and he said they are all non-fat! If he's lying to me, I don't want to know. No seating. So we took it to the car to eat. BEST frozen yogurt I've ever had. Creamy not watery, flavors that tasted like their description. I like all frozen yogurt but this made me realize what I'd been missing. Sooo, good I'm trying not to think about going again tomorrow. Don't be put off by the hole in the wall appearance, this place is a great find! read more

Bottom-line, Yogurt Express is the least expensive yogurt shop in San Diego per ounce. I paid 1/3 the price here compared to Yogurt Cup. No other self-serve yogurt shop has as many low-cal options. Yes, there are only about 8 flavors total, and I gravitate toward the sugar free and Wow Cow anyway. Not so much a tart fan, which if I'm not mistake, they don't offer. 25% discount for students! Find that ID card, people! Only bummer for those not in ECo is the drive. Go on a run/ walk/ ride/ blade around Lake Murray beforehand to make the trip out - and consumption - worth it. read more

I'm usually a Yogurtland customer...but this place is so much better! I got the peanut butter cup frozen yogurt and it was AMAZING! Usually I hate peanut butter flavored frozen yogurt because it tastes fake, but this was delicious. They had a great variety of toppings - I noticed at the last minute there were more toppings on their counter plus hot fudge. The price was cheap - 29 cents an ounce and they have a punch card! I will definitely be going back! read more

I love this place! I've been coming here since I was around 7 years old and love it! While it's not like any of those "modern" or newer yogurt shops, this place is really good and have a wide variety of toppings. Check it out! read more

We love this place! The flavors are great and they always have it posted so you can decide before you get there. Great toppings as well! It does melt quickly, so you'll have to enjoy ASAP or throw it in the fridge quickly. They also no longer offer a student discount. :( But it's still inexpensive.
