We had placed an order for our soccer club to pick up after arriving at the airport. The airport was closed due to extreme weather. We were delayed, the staff at Yogis stayed past closing to wait for someone to come pick up the food for us. We had 48 boys that had been stuck on a diverted flight for 9 hours and had a soccer game the next morning. They loved the food and we loved the extra service. We'll be back in a month and will for sure order from there again. read more

In general it is pretty good. But today I ordered the chicken and beef bowl. It might be good and actually have flavor if there were any veggies. The menu had an option to upgrade the rice for veggies, but I didn't know they would totally stiff me on veggies if I didn't upgrade. -- No Veggies! none! -- Maybe that's your style, but it's not mine. I was pretty impressed for delivery on this order. I've visited the establishment in person at other locations in the past. I think they're a major step up for some Americanized oriental in comparison to Panda or others. Their pot stickers would probably be better if they offered steamed & not just fried. The fried is a bit too crispy for my liking. And it would be nice if they added a bit more sauce than only 1/4 of the container. I truly wish I could order just the yakisoba without meat or vegetable fillers. They do give a plentiful portion, I'm just not a fan of the soggy veggies I have to pick out. However, the flavor is great & the scoop of rice on the side is nice! The "egg rolls" are actually vegetable spring rolls. And they're good- I actually like the smaller size, plus they include a decent mini sweet & sour cup for each! But again, I wish they offered non-fried spring rolls. There are a decent amount of selections for sushi. My favorite is the Las Vegas roll. For delivery, it was still solid, fresh & came with all the fixins. Decided to give this place a try since it always looks good. Nothing against the place or the workers as the set up inside was very unique. I think the flavor of the food just was not good. I decided to get the chicken and beef bowl. I added vegetable and subbed brown rice. It looked amazing and my mouth was watering, but after two bites I wasn't into the taste at all. The flavor gets old and it seems like you are just eating the same bite over and over. I guess it just wasn't for me. If I were to recommend anything to a new timer, the spicy tuna bowl is worth a shot. Get a side of the eel sauce and an extra side of the spicy mayo. read more

The orange taranje is terrible. It was over burned black, the oil for the fryer needs to be changed, friendly reminder order at least an hour before closing or you'll be having leftover batter and oil for dinner. The rice was the only good part. read more

If you're looking for great roll such as firecracker roll and caterpillar roll this is your place for casual dining. Service was quick and the staff brought the food to you. The rolls are the largest rolls I've ever had! Also so taste too! They had substituted my bowl with broccoli which was nice to not have the extra carbs. After seeing the not so stellar reviews after we dined here, we flew back and tried Yogis Grill again. We went before a Cubs spring training game and the place had a few folk dining there. We ordered the Chicken Teriyaki (with brown rice and veggies) the Avocado roll. The Chicken Teriyaki was cut very thin and delicious. The brown rice complimented the chicken and in all honesty, the steamed veggies were better than most restaurants we had frequented! The Avocado rolls were their version of California Rolls with slices of Avocado on top of the rolls. They weren't bad at all. My wife and I couldn't figure out the bad ratings, but after trying the place out twice, we're fans of the establishment. read more

Good food for a good price. First time I've eaten at this location but it was as good as I hoped. I got a half size Crunch Roll for an appetizer, and an order of Chicken Yakisoba. Both were very good. The crunch roll was very fresh with good quality ingredients, crunchy shrimp Tempura, crab, avocado, etc. The yakisoba wasn't quite what I thought it would be in that the noodles and meat were separate, not mixed, but that didn't affect the quality or flavor. It was closing time and I'd only eaten half, but I packed up the rest and brought it back to my motel so the workers could finish up and go home. This was the fourth place I'd attempted to go to for dinner so I was especially happy to find them open. The first place, Azucar Peruvian, was right across the street from the motel I always stay at and I'd been meaning to try them since last summer. I drove over there to find they were now out of business with a sign up advertising the place going in next. I snoozed, I loozed. The second place was supposed to be open till 8:30pm according to their Yelp listing, but was closed when I got there a few minutes after 8. The third place, Omega Gyros, highly recommended on Yelp, was also out of business. FML. So when I got to Yogi's I was holding my breath till I saw they were open till nine. Yogi's Grill is a staple in our house. With Hawaiian and Japanese fare, there is always something to try. The restaurant is always clean. The staff is friendly, and prepare meals quickly. Take-out is always packaged well. My only warning with that is about the miso soup. It is so hot (temperature), that it melts the styro cup lid. So be careful when you take it out to eat. The teriyaki bowls are always good, beef and chicken both, with not too much sauce. They will add more onions for free, if you so desire. The sushi rolls are tasty and fresh (Americanized, of course). Our staple is the Vegas roll. The other appetizers such as tempura shrimp and vegetables are also great. Edamame is lightly salted. The Arizona bowl is one of my favorites, with fresh lemon and avocado. We normally opt for brown rice in our dishes. In the tofu cutlet bowl, you get basically a whole block of tofu. The veggies sometimes are a bit al dente for me. I recommend pretty much everything here, and will be back for sure. Typically once a week! read more

Sooooo many options to choose from. As a plant-centric eater, my eyes only gravitate toward the plant-based options. They can customize pretty much anything. I ordered the tofu cutlet bowl with brown rice and my my my... it was so good. The tofu could have more flavor, but I feel their sauces help with that. The space is clean. The staff is friendly. Never am I ordering at this location again. I called ahead and asked the cook if I can sub out the sushi from my bento box meal to veggie roll pieces (due to food allergies) the guy clearly said it would be okay. I go and pick up my order and check the box and they just gave me extra steamed veggies apparently the cook got confused and I told the manager he said he would honor my request. All nothing but I'm sorry for the miss communication and not like they could give me something else for the inconvenience. For a while I used to eat here about once a week. One night some months ago, I stopped in to get a Cali roll to go, and they sold me a refrigerated roll. The rice was noticeably congealed. The roll was cold in the center section. Unacceptable. I haven't eaten here since. If a manager can tell me this never should have happened, then maybe I'll go back. Otherwise, consumers have to make businesses pay for pulling crap like this. The last sushi place I used to go to, Teharu Sushi in Chandler, also sold refrigerated rolls one night. I never went back there again either. That said, the normal, specialty rolls, and teriyaki here at Yogi's are all good/average and reasonably priced. I really like the Asian salads. Delicious.
