Staff have always been friendly and efficient, and I have never had to wait very long for my order to be prepared. The menu is eclectic and I've never known anyone to be less than happy with their milk shake. Today, I had a triple chocolate shake. It was flavorful and sweet but not cloyingly so. Topped with whipped cream and crumbled brownie, it was perfect - even at 10am on a Tuesday! Don't struggle with any internal debate. Just go to Cousteau's and enjoy!

We didn't want to go home just yet so I quickly googled some dessert spots open late. We parked nearby and walked to Peace Pie which was so close to the main square where Nights of Lights is during the holidays (noted). There it was, a bright and colorful storefront situated amongst a group of aromatic formal dining restaurants. It just so happened to be buy-one-get-one night, which is only on Tuesdays! I got the cookies and cream, my friend got the praline flavor and they were both absolutely delicious! I loved how the ice cream had lots of mix-ins and was frozen hard enough to not melt in our hands immediately. They serve the sandwiches in a lined paper wrap so even if things do get melty, it was easy to stay neat. We made a new friend in Stephanie who was (wo)manning the counter that night. She gave us great flavor recommendations and some ideas on what we can do during our next trip to St. Aug! Found a new favorite! Check out Peace Pie!!
