Nice little ice cream shop. Stopped in today 5/2. Prices were a bit steep. I bought a double scoop on a waffle cone, a kids single scoop, and another scoop in a cup and paid $13.99. After on my way out I ordered a small strawberry shake; they were out of strawberry ice cream; so the young lady made vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberries. This is a cute little shop! I'm up visiting my friend who lives here and we decided to get a treat before checking out all the lights downtown. #1 the floor wasn't sticky! This is such an important thing to note because far too often shops like this have dirty, sticky floors and this shop did not. A+! Lots of different flavor options! Butter Brickle was so delicious and Cookies n Cream had super huge cookies in it. 2 scoops in a cup came to $4. Not too shabby. The employees were most definitely high school kids. One was chatting with her friend while the other worked. The one chatting and her friend apologized and asked if I needed to check out. I said no, that I was just looking. This ice cream shop is cute and usually clean. However, recently it has been less than desirable. The shop seemed dirty and unsanitary. A used napkin sat on the counter where you check out. Hardly any hot fudge in the machine. The employee kept pumping it with hardly anything coming out. I regretted getting it on top of the ice creams for fear it was old and the machine was probably never cleaned. The employee was nice enough but didn't wear gloves. To top it off, the side of my ice cream cup was wiped with a dirty, blue towel sitting on the counter. I think the owner used to work there and the place was spotless. Now there are teenagers running it. Needless to say, I will be passing on this location for a while. read more

I'm from North Carolina and visited this location while on location the week of July 26. For context, my family lives in the High Point area and had a Bruster's until 2016, so any chance we get to have Bruster's, we take it. Visited on the last night we were there, and I couldn't have asked for a better location to visit. Once we walked in, we were greeted and we told them about how we had one in NC before closing, and they engaged in conversation and were thankful we visited. No samples were given out because of COVID, and masks were required (something my family and I didn't mind at all). The ice cream is always on its top notch, and their list is a variety of things, and if it's not on the floor they have some in the back. If you've never been and are near this area, GO. We love this place! We've been here a couple times already and each time we have had excellent and friendly service. There ice cream is out of this world. It is creamy and very flavorful. The scoops are nice and big too. When you walk in there is a huge menu on the wall. It's very easy to read and shows all the prices. They also offer fun specials like for when it rains or on certain days if you bring in a banana you pay half price for your banana split. They will let you try a sample of any flavor you want. There is quite an assortment of flavors to chose from. The brownie sundae we got last time was delicious. The brownie was so fresh and chocolatey. We got two big scoops of ice cream on top of the brownie some chocolate sauce and whip cream with a cherry on top. Oh ya! Come to mama! There are a few tables to sit at inside. We wanted more than just the usual ice cream and found this in a computer search. Wow! Did we make the right choice here. After a fun drive to get here we had banana splits that were well worth the time and drive. Mine was all green! (I'm a green ice-cream lover) The toppings were perfect, just the right amounts to not over-power the flavors, and very tasty too. The gal serving us was friendly and helpful, she even found a third green flavor for me. For that special treat, even if you don't live close by this is the place to go. We came here after leaving another ice cream location, without making a purchase, that was not taking safety precautons. We go to our local Bruster's and figured it was a safe choice, after a disappointment. Upon finding it in a strip mall we were surprised to see a shop and not a walk-up ( most Bruster's ) as we had never seen a shop location before. The store was clean and the staff was following safety precautions - good for them. The variety was substantial and the cases were full. It was really unusual seeing Bruster's in a store and it kind of took us aback. The server was very pleasant and we had a nice interaction of light conversation. The ice cream was consistent with Bruster's quality and felt the flavors were just a little more intense (a good thing) than our local place. There are plenty of Bruster's in the area but we drove 1 hour out of our way with 12 ice packs in a cooler to visit Sapna at Brusters in St. Augustine because there is significantly greater care in the way she makes ice cream. Okay so initially when my father suggested going here (he's a local if that counts for anything) I wasn't excited. It isn't fancy and isn't in a super fancy location and I (incorrectly) assumed that this would just be another boring ice cream shop with your typical run of the mill flavors...I was so wrong! I sampled 3 flavors which were all DELISH and had a hard time choosing but after much debate I eventually settled on a small waffle cone with 1 scoop of the chocolate raspberry truffle and 1 scoop of the coconut cream pie topped with hot fudge. I can honestly say that this is some of the BEST ice cream I've ever had (I have a huge sweet tooth and check out ice cream shops wherever I go) and the people working there were very friendly! No bells and whistles here, just some really amazing, creamy ice cream at a great price! And there are TONS of flavors and toppings to choose from if you're into that (be sure to check out the menu as not all of the flavors available are showcased up front). Also if you sign up for their discount club you automatically get a $3 credit towards your next purchase (which you will want to come back for more)! This place was awful. Why? Let me tell you. First of all, the staff did not seem very happy. Walking in, I could see that there was a lack of communication and they were obviously upset about something before I had even gone through the door; but the teen customer service was excellent, they were ready to greet me and had the most overwhelming welcome. It was a pleasant surprise. Second of all, once I had ordered my ice cream (with the limited flavors, and all), I had to use the restroom. It was filthy. So filthy, in fact, it was almost as if it had never been cleaned. There was no toilet paper. There were footmarks stamped in the tile, with obviously... you know. I could go into more detail, but I think you get the idea. Very dissatisfied with my visit. I'd recommend any place over Bruster's at this point, especially any place Downtown. Definitely avoid it if you can. Overall, if I could go into a negative score, it'd probably be the bottom of the barrel.
