This is a cute little shop! I'm up visiting my friend who lives here and we decided to get a treat before checking out all the lights downtown. #1 the floor wasn't sticky! This is such an important thing to note because far too often shops like this have dirty, sticky floors and this shop did not. A+! Lots of different flavor options! Butter Brickle was so delicious and Cookies n Cream had super huge cookies in it. 2 scoops in a cup came to $4. Not too shabby. The employees were most definitely high school kids. One was chatting with her friend while the other worked. The one chatting and her friend apologized and asked if I needed to check out. I said no, that I was just looking. The other girl who was so sweet, came over and asked if she could help. She allowed me to try a few before I made my decision. All in all a pretty good experience! read more

While visiting the area we decided to get some ice cream close to our hotel. We stopped by Bruster's on a Saturday night and it wasn't busy at all. The place is located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking. Morgan was great! Super friendly and attentive. The ice cream was really good. I would go again. read more

Definitely the best ice cream around! Fresh and delicious every time. Menu changes often from over 100 different ice cream flavors.

Nice little ice cream shop. Stopped in today 5/2. Prices were a bit steep. I bought a double scoop on a waffle cone, a kids single scoop, and another scoop in a cup and paid $13.99. After on my way out I ordered a small strawberry shake; they were out of strawberry ice cream; so the young lady made vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberries. It was suffice, I also ordered a one scoop in a cup to go. & paid $10. The young girl was so sweet. No complaints there! Ice cream was also very good, creamy, and not overly sweet. read more

Food was fresh and good but the employees were not at the counter they were in the back watching TikTok

The girls you had working 11/22/23 at around 6PM/7PM were the absolute best! We are not from around the area and decided to bring our out of state family to St. Augustine. It was not a good day everything seemed to go wrong. Until we went into Bruster's & the Girls treated us with the most amazing service we had received all day at St. Augustine. They literally went above and beyond and we are truly grateful! The ice cream was delicious! & the brownies were soo good! Highly recommend! We all left happy read more

A wonderful ice cream shop. Lots of delicious flavors to choose from. They make their waffle cones, themselves. A must try! They even have a new rewards app. read more

This ice cream shop is cute and usually clean. However, recently it has been less than desirable. The shop seemed dirty and unsanitary. A used napkin sat on the counter where you check out. Hardly any hot fudge in the machine. The employee kept pumping it with hardly anything coming out. I regretted getting it on top of the ice creams for fear it was old and the machine was probably never cleaned. The employee was nice enough but didn't wear gloves. To top it off, the side of my ice cream cup was wiped with a dirty, blue towel sitting on the counter. I think the owner used to work there and the place was spotless. Now there are teenagers running it. Needless to say, I will be passing on this location for a while. read more

Wish I had one closer to me! The best homemade ice cream. Wide range of choices and all are delicious.

I'm from North Carolina and visited this location while on location the week of July 26. For context, my family lives in the High Point area and had a Bruster's until 2016, so any chance we get to have Bruster's, we take it. Visited on the last night we were there, and I couldn't have asked for a better location to visit. Once we walked in, we were greeted and we told them about how we had one in NC before closing, and they engaged in conversation and were thankful we visited. No samples were given out because of COVID, and masks were required (something my family and I didn't mind at all). The ice cream is always on its top notch, and their list is a variety of things, and if it's not on the floor they have some in the back. If you've never been and are near this area, GO. You won't regret it. read more

We love this place! We've been here a couple times already and each time we have had excellent and friendly service. There ice cream is out of this world. It is creamy and very flavorful. The scoops are nice and big too. When you walk in there is a huge menu on the wall. It's very easy to read and shows all the prices. They also offer fun specials like for when it rains or on certain days if you bring in a banana you pay half price for your banana split. They will let you try a sample of any flavor you want. There is quite an assortment of flavors to chose from. The brownie sundae we got last time was delicious. The brownie was so fresh and chocolatey. We got two big scoops of ice cream on top of the brownie some chocolate sauce and whip cream with a cherry on top. Oh ya! Come to mama! There are a few tables to sit at inside. The place is bright and plays fun music. The staff are super nice. Can't wait to go back! read more

This place was great. It smells amazing inside. The ice cream was softer than most similar places, but more firm than soft serve. I had the caramel apple crunch, and it was great. read more

Their ice cream is really good and the cones are also good however their flavored ice cream's were not in the right spots that the labels for the ice cream's were so everything was wonky and I didn't know where anything was. Also, the service was definitely below three star rating but that is besides the point. too sweet could not finish. read more

Not many non-dairy choices, one sorbet. The kids said the ice cream was delicious but what kid wouldn't say that. Their prices are high, comparable to Coldstone, and not for much. The interior color scheme, plus table and chairs, remind me of Target. read more

We wanted more than just the usual ice cream and found this in a computer search. Wow! Did we make the right choice here. After a fun drive to get here we had banana splits that were well worth the time and drive. Mine was all green! (I'm a green ice-cream lover) The toppings were perfect, just the right amounts to not over-power the flavors, and very tasty too. The gal serving us was friendly and helpful, she even found a third green flavor for me. For that special treat, even if you don't live close by this is the place to go. We will certainly be returning for more fresh made right there ice-creams. read more

Super clean, super service and ICE CREAM! This is a place that my daughter loves. Let me tell you that it crushes me to have to accompany her to Bruster's. In all sincerity, this location is owned by a fantastic local family that runs several businesses in the area. Their pride in their businesses are evident and Bruster's is no exception. It's one of those places where you'll always get a smile, your money's worth and leave happy. TIP: For those of you complaining about selection, it's frequent that they keep additional flavors in the back. Simply ask what else is available and you'll find they have something for you. read more

We came here after leaving another ice cream location, without making a purchase, that was not taking safety precautons. We go to our local Bruster's and figured it was a safe choice, after a disappointment. Upon finding it in a strip mall we were surprised to see a shop and not a walk-up ( most Bruster's ) as we had never seen a shop location before. The store was clean and the staff was following safety precautions - good for them. The variety was substantial and the cases were full. It was really unusual seeing Bruster's in a store and it kind of took us aback. The server was very pleasant and we had a nice interaction of light conversation. The ice cream was consistent with Bruster's quality and felt the flavors were just a little more intense (a good thing) than our local place. Overall, a good value for the money and a consistent, albeit average, product. read more

We love this place! It is always clean and there are often new flavors to try. The owners remembered us on our second visit and the entire staff is friendly and kind. A dropped gummy worm? There are plenty of Bruster's in the area but we drove 1 hour out of our way with 12 ice packs in a cooler to visit Sapna at Brusters in St. Augustine because there is significantly greater care in the way she makes ice cream. Wonderful ice cream made on the premises. The manager is very personable. A fun stop after dinner. I love the salt caramel.

VERY limited selection of flavors. Online they listed a TON of flavors but when we got there, there were only maybe 6 to choose from. My mom wanted sorbet and they only had 1 flavor. Not happy with the selection. read more

Okay so initially when my father suggested going here (he's a local if that counts for anything) I wasn't excited. It isn't fancy and isn't in a super fancy location and I (incorrectly) assumed that this would just be another boring ice cream shop with your typical run of the mill flavors...I was so wrong! I sampled 3 flavors which were all DELISH and had a hard time choosing but after much debate I eventually settled on a small waffle cone with 1 scoop of the chocolate raspberry truffle and 1 scoop of the coconut cream pie topped with hot fudge. I can honestly say that this is some of the BEST ice cream I've ever had (I have a huge sweet tooth and check out ice cream shops wherever I go) and the people working there were very friendly! No bells and whistles here, just some really amazing, creamy ice cream at a great price! And there are TONS of flavors and toppings to choose from if you're into that (be sure to check out the menu as not all of the flavors available are showcased up front). Also if you sign up for their discount club you automatically get a $3 credit towards your next purchase (which you will want to come back for more)! Overall a clean, friendly, surprisingly delicious experience! Skip the lines and expensive prices downtown and JUST GO THERE - you will not regret it! read more

Not an enormous selection as one would expect from an ice cream shoppe. The ice cream had that same plastic aftertaste that one expects from a mid-level store bought ice cream. Staff were friendly and helpful. Prices high for this level of quality. Used a coupon from Local Flavour which made for a good discount and lends to the 4 star review. Get the coupon or not worth the visit. read more

I can't say enough about this Brusters location. The owner is amazing and gives back to the community and makes amazing flavored of incredible ice cream. We buy it by the pint and use the frequent flier card to get free pints. Love love love this ice cream! Worth the drive for sure!! read more

This place was awful. Why? Let me tell you. First of all, the staff did not seem very happy. Walking in, I could see that there was a lack of communication and they were obviously upset about something before I had even gone through the door; but the teen customer service was excellent, they were ready to greet me and had the most overwhelming welcome. It was a pleasant surprise. Second of all, once I had ordered my ice cream (with the limited flavors, and all), I had to use the restroom. It was filthy. So filthy, in fact, it was almost as if it had never been cleaned. There was no toilet paper. There were footmarks stamped in the tile, with obviously... you know. I could go into more detail, but I think you get the idea. Very dissatisfied with my visit. I'd recommend any place over Bruster's at this point, especially any place Downtown. Definitely avoid it if you can. Overall, if I could go into a negative score, it'd probably be the bottom of the barrel. Oh, and before you can say that there's more flavors in the back, they were out. Just saying. read more

Brusters is easily the best ice cream shop I've ever been to. My family and I are always there, and we rack up way too many rewards using their rewards app. The ice cream is so creamy and soft, and they have so many flavors. Make sure to look on the menu to see the full list, the amount of flavors customers can see in the coolers is deceptively small. The waffle cones are awesome, and the sorbets are great for vegan/non-dairy folks!! Customer service is always great. The owner always remembers us and is so kind. read more

i came here and ordered a blast and then she gave me milkshake instead. i went up to her and said excuse me this was supposed to be a blast. she said "it is" with a little attitude and it was clearly a milkshake she literally gave me a straw with it. so i just walked away but i should've made her make me a new one. i hate to be that person but that made me mad. anyways the employees should know what they're doing. read more
