If one thing about this place changed for the better it would have been perfectly adequate to have breakfast here. As it stands, it was definitely not the best experience. I think that it fits most adequately into the greasy spoon, townie kind of place, but I think it's trying to be more than that (lobster benedict and the prices seem to indicate that at the very least). The restaurant was a little worn and threadbare. Looked like it came straight out of the 70s. When walking through the front door, there is a bakery stand to your right and the muffins are definitely not something that should be advertised, they look smallish and dry. Our friend Dave ordered the lobster benedict (thinking that we'd be back the next day and he could order more standard fare then) and it was dry and the lobster had definitely been frozen. It was rubbery. There is no excuse whatsoever for that in New England ever. Especially not when lobster is relatively cheap. My breakfast wrap was solid and built like a brick. A ton of food, but the egg was very dense and was on two thirds of the wrap, then there were very thickly sliced tomatoes separating the egg from the feta and the spinach. It was really hard to try and get everything in one bite, which is kind of the point of a wrap. Andy and Andy had more traditional breakfasts and they were just "okay" (hash, eggs, homefries, toast). I came here for a late breakfast on Labor day and was surprised at how busy they still were at almost 11am! It didn't take much time to be seated so as soon as we sat we took a look at the menu. Everything looked and sounded delicious, and you know that a place like this makes almost everything they sell from scratch. Unexpected gem! We stopped by for breakfast while in town for our anniversary. We didn't know what to expect and got way more than we anticipated. The building has an abundance of character and charm that warms your heart. Being Southern born and bred you hear of hospitality being a "southern thing".... these ladies exude hospitality and made us feel right at home. Melissa was our server and she was knowledgeable about the entire menu including specials and the 5 varieties of in house bread made daily. Everything that she described sounded amazing so narrowing it down was a chore. We settled on the corned beef hash and hunters hash... not only were the portions generous but they were everything hash is supposed to be. Hearty, stick to your ribs goodness. Absolutely delicious. The cinnamon raisin bread is heaven in a bread. They had just made pumpkin scones which Melissa was kind enough to suggest for something sweet.. we were so full we had to get it to go. Went to breakfast on the way to ride to the sky, we had a great breakfast, I had omelet with gluten free English muffin bread substitute for slightly extra charge. It was delicious. And my hubby had corn beef hash with homemade molasses bread, which he also enjoyed. Here is my take: Atmosphere:Clean and bright with comfortable seating A Service: Very attentive A Food: Plentiful; ranging from good to excellent. Their egg white omelet was good but I suspect the "good" versus excellent was a function of my ordering egg white. The hell with the health boloney the next time I ate there I bagged the egg whites. A plate of scrambled eggs with bacon and cinnamon raisin toast was terrific. Their scrambled eggs wrap with feta was delicious. Coffee is good and they keep the cup full. We just left Yesterday's and wanted to give it a quick review. The food was great. My husband said his burger was the best he's had in a while. I had a very creative panini with beets and apples which was delicious. Overall we really wnjoyed our lunch and were happy to find this little gem. We just have a comment for the management: the food portions are too large. My panini was double what I could eat and so were the fries. Try making the portions sizes a bit smaller to save yourself a bit of money and keep food from going to waste. Used Yelp to find breakfast for our last morning in town and we should have read more than 3 reviews. The food was just ok but the prices were TOO high! I ordered the French toast which was just too egg-y for me. The batter was just eggs, no milk, no vanilla, no cinnamon. Maybe some prefer just eggs but it was lacking for me. The pancakes were huge but too dry. Fruit cup was nice, the omelette was very good and home fries were very good. We were a but staggered when the bill came though. We went here for the first time during our vacation a week ago. It was great. We were not sure where we wanted to eat, but while on vacation, I was tired of cooking breakfast and being one of our last days, I thought having breakfast made for us would be nice. The parking was ok, but if it got busy I am sure people would be looking for a place to park, we were seated right away, but it was still early on a Sunday. My husband got sausages, eggs, french toast. His coffee was good, and refilled periodically without asking. I got the eggs Benedict, it was ok, the ham was shaved which was, but different. the Hollandaise sauce was a little bland and the eggs a little undercooked but otherwise very good. Staff was very friendly, and prompt, and the place was very clean. We will definitely return. read more

I have to add to my previous review: they now have tater tots. For me, these are a great alternative to the other potato choices. I get corned beef hash on them sometimes. Also, if I'm looking for a smaller breakfast meal, I'll just get a sausage egg and cheese on a bagel. The staff is great with kids. I went for lunch, and didn't love my meal, however, I think that breakfast would be really good as the bread and muffins are homemade. I got the chicken sandwich. The chicken was totally dried out & there was no flavor. However, they have the best sweet potato fries, which is why I gave 3 stars. I come up here once a year while on a mini vacation we usually take in November and I HAVE to stop into Yesterdays at least once, sometimes more for breakfast. I always get the hash, it is a must. It's wholly delightful to be able to come to an establishment which, in spite of it being slammed, offers genuine courtesy, small-town ambiance and delicious food. I was taken from the moment we walked in, an air of inclusiveness and amity from both patrons and staff alike (no kidding - people actually smiled at us when we walked in). As a product of big-city rearing, Yesterdays feels quintessentially out of my idyllic notions of sweet, rural charm (to my fellow city-slickers: think Andy Griffith Show). There is a slightly long wait to be seated. But that only added to the positive impression: it seems the hottest ticket in town on a morning weekend! From the time we were seated to the end of the meal, courtesy and good service never wavered, as staff not only checked in with us, but also immediately tended to our requests, without hesitation... and it was super-busy! Service didn't have to be done with a smile, but it was still very friendly and without a fuss. We were even seated at a table with a large group of children right next to us; but the energy of the room so fine and the people so nice, it didn't at all matter. In fact, the kids were well-behaved because they obviously also liked being there (also a marker of good service, I argue). Needless to say, it didn't at all take away from our own enjoyment. The servers seemed to be working very hard and seemed masterful at swiftly tending to us all. The room isn't exactly cramped but it takes a little weaving around the chairs to get at us, so I give staff credit for their welcome hustle! The food portions are very generous! Food was served with a side of unlimited genuine New Hampshire maple syrup (it's like gold for those of us from the West), so be sure to get the hotcakes and/or french toast option when offered sides (also offered as a main dish). The menu has something for everyone, with a bevy of specials that offer fun fusions. Everything was delicious! With zero pretense, tasty food and charming local warmth, this place is a hit. We landed at Yesterday's for breakfast, just around 7:15am. The hostess was warm and welcoming. The food was really good and for a change, our boys finished everything they had ordered! This was exactly what I needed. Even though we sat outside it was a beautiful fall day. We even sat all alone. I felt like I was on a special date. I have the special, pumpkin pecan french toast with a side of corned beef hash and homefries. Clutch breakfast place that we're sure to hit every trip up to North Conway. Breakast is something simple that you would think is hard to mess up, but others manage. Standard faire, but well executed at a great price and off the beaten path in a scenic loop. Prefer it to anything in the area thus far. This most recent trip was more comfortable as they've remodeled, but the service has been taken down a peg as the help was younger girls, probably in their teens, that seemed as if they had someplace better to be. This place makes you wait to be seated even though there are numerous open tables. They said it keeps the place from getting out of hand. Should be able seat customers and let them enjoy a cup of coffee while they get things under control. Home fries are bland. Just potatoes, no seasonings. The pancakes are impressively large but not a lot of flavor. The syrup is not even close to enough for the size of the pancakes. Paying $2.69 for another tiny vessel of syrup would not be enough either. If you get a 1/2 order of pancakes, do you get the same amount of syrup? Nor, did they offer a regular commercial syrup. We had breakfast there for two days. On 1st day, pancakes and a breakfast sandwich were ordered. Everything was excellent, but BE HUNGRY if you order pancakes. Three of them filled the plate and I was dumb enough to also order bacon. Day two was the Countryman's breakfast with eggs, bacon, home fries, and an amazing waffle, and all were perfectly cooked. Wife had a cheese omelette and she said it was delicious. Coffee was also great, and service was wonderful both days. Extremely convenient to walk across street, but we would drive out of our way for breakfast here. So I was out in the area taking a walk and had brought $20 with me which I considered ample for a very simple breakfast and coffee. They had a "California Benedict" on the menu. Thought that sounded nice. Simple 2 English muffins, 1 slice tomato, about 1/8th of an avocado at the most. Nothing special. Very scant home fries. No meat. When I got the bill it said the Benedict alone was $13.99 !!!! Had a tiny OJ and a tea. Can you say "gouge-the-tourist??!" Was absolutely appalled and will never go back. Yummy Red, White, and Blue waffles (strawberries, blueberries, whipped cream) with real maple syrup, and a veggie omelette, both with home fries and coffee made for a great breakfast! Ask for sriracha is you want to spice up your potatoes! Super nice people. Only 1 suggestion - allow people to sit while they wait for service and enjoy a cup of coffee. Walked in, waited to be seated and when the waitress walked over I asked if they had any vegan options and she went and conferred with another waitress before coming back and telling me no and walking away. I was never given a menu. As I left I pulled up their menu online and they had several vegan options. They literally just did not want to serve me. Up hiking Mt. Washington for the weekend, stopped on our way out of town. Brunch was amazing & exactly what we needed the day after a big hike! The outdoor seating was nice and our server was so sweet & attentive :) they also had a cinnamon bun special which was unreal, the perfect treat!
