Only problem was that dealer was 4 hours away. Called and spoke to Nathan at around 4:00pm. That's when the over the top exceptional customer service experience began. We had recently thought we found a vehicle only to arrive at dealer and find the car was sold. Expressed our concern that this might happen again. Nathan explained the VA Select Policy of not "holding" a car if someone came into lot and wanted to purchase. What he did do, was commit to letting us know upon closing that evening (via text), that the car was in fact still available and we could commit to driving there in the morning. But that wasn't good enough for Nathan. He also went the extra mile and took a picture of a scratch he noticed on the vehicle and sent us pictures. Said he would ask the body shop to buff it out first thing in the morning. We texted Nathan when we departed our house at 6:30am (they don't open until 9) and he was then able to remove it from the lot so no one could purchase since we were now enroute. Upon arriving to the location after 4-hour drive, the first thing we say at the entrance was a shiny, newly detailed Dodge Charger. My son was very excited and Nathan proceeded to give us a 30-minute certificate to do a test drive. This completely suprised us, as our experience had been drive around the block with saleperson hovering in back seat. Son was convinced it was the car after driving it for 5 minutes. Upon our return, Nathan offered us beverages and escorted us to his desk for the daunting "sign and make it yours experience". Not once did we feel pressure. No haggling was required (we knew this before we came), and Nathan patiently answered each and every question. Once the paperwork was complete and ready for us to go to the financing department, we all went outside and talked about the car some more. Nathan shared several personal stories with our family and we were happy that we had him as our salesperson. But it didn't stop there. Once Finanace was ready for us, Nathan took it upon himself to take the vehicle to the the nearby service station and top of the gas tank. Outstanding. The financing process was quick and painless as we had pre-approval for the loan. Robert Seeney (F & I Manager) took over from there and made sure all the paperwork was in order since we were from out of state. He was extremely professional and had the personality of someone who took the customer service experience seriously. Bottom line is that our experience with Virginia Select Auto was exceptionally pleasant and we would hope that everyone would get the opportunity to work with Nathan if in the market to purchase a car. Owner and sales were very professional, no lying, no nonsense. I've purchased several used cars the past few years and would definitely do business with Elite again. They may have a slightly higher initial price, but unlike many other used car places, Elite actually has the vehicles inspected (and not just the basic VA required inspection) and repaired prior to selling (with documentation). This saves you - the buyer - multiple problems after the sale is over. Communication was fast, upfront, and continued after the sale was over (for registration). mike abed totaled my vehicle and then fled the scene of an accident in my car, now refusing to give…read moreinsurance information in an attempt to avoid involving insurance and police. tried to bribe me with money out of his own pocket in a plea to avoid consequence as his negligence and general incompetence led to him returning my vehicle to me undrivable when he was supposed to be doing a simple appraisal. he thought i was stupid enough to accept his low ball bribe, told my mother to "get the eff out" of his office when she came to inquire about the insurance information (remember, for the accident he was in that crumpled my hood, broke both my front fenders and shattered my windshield two days after it left the shop for hundreds of dollars in repairs.) and then towed my car out of spite knowing i had my own on the way and refused to disclose where it was told to. i only found out after filing a police report and being informed by the tow company. sick weirdo with no integrity they're probably not insured at all and that's why his rinky dink business wont give up any insurance information in the first place. some guy named "moe" over the phone basically told me i was an idiot for inquiring but i think the real idiot is whomever hired a general manager too dumb to close the hood of a vehicle.

He was very personable and it was very nice that he was very familiar with my favorite local car repair shop. It didn't hurt that the car was clean, loaded with "nice to have" features and priced reasonably for comparable quality. The entire process was quick and fun. Mike even went so far as to get the car re-inspected the morning I picked it up. There was no need; it wasn't expired. He just didn't want me to have to be concerned over anything. When you follow the online prompts to sell a car, you think that CARMAX will get the job done…read more I wound up selling my car to a junker. The online tool stated that they would pick up my car, for a $199 fee. On the day of the appointment they reneged on that offer and they could not provide me a good reason. I was told, "It could be a number of factors." I filled the online application and was offered $1700. When my daughter arrived at CARMAX, (having payed $115 for a ten mile tow), CARMAX said they could not take the car because it hadn't been registered in Va. The car had been parked, legally, at my am daughter's home. The DMV was notified and plates, tags were removed. The car had been parked for 2 years. I've seen CARMAX in Spotsylvania County purchase a used 'car, that had not been registered for 18 months. They told my friend not to worry about it- that they'd take care of it. She was purchasing another car from them. I guess that makes CARMAX's decision much easier. No one at the CARMAX in Midlothian could make that decision. I wound up selling the car well below that offer of $1700 - but I had to get it done because my daughter sold the home where it was parked. This leaves a very bad taste in my mouth about CARMAX. My older vehicle had 72k miles on it (and was a 2006). The hood of the car needed painting - no body damage, no accident. A good auto, with title in hand. When I purchase my car, I will not use CARMAX.
