Only problem was that dealer was 4 hours away. Called and spoke to Nathan at around 4:00pm. That's when the over the top exceptional customer service experience began. We had recently thought we found a vehicle only to arrive at dealer and find the car was sold. Expressed our concern that this might happen again. Nathan explained the VA Select Policy of not "holding" a car if someone came into lot and wanted to purchase. What he did do, was commit to letting us know upon closing that evening (via text), that the car was in fact still available and we could commit to driving there in the morning. But that wasn't good enough for Nathan. He also went the extra mile and took a picture of a scratch he noticed on the vehicle and sent us pictures. Said he would ask the body shop to buff it out first thing in the morning. We texted Nathan when we departed our house at 6:30am (they don't open until 9) and he was then able to remove it from the lot so no one could purchase since we were now enroute. Upon arriving to the location after 4-hour drive, the first thing we say at the entrance was a shiny, newly detailed Dodge Charger. My son was very excited and Nathan proceeded to give us a 30-minute certificate to do a test drive. This completely suprised us, as our experience had been drive around the block with saleperson hovering in back seat. Son was convinced it was the car after driving it for 5 minutes. Upon our return, Nathan offered us beverages and escorted us to his desk for the daunting "sign and make it yours experience". Not once did we feel pressure. No haggling was required (we knew this before we came), and Nathan patiently answered each and every question. Once the paperwork was complete and ready for us to go to the financing department, we all went outside and talked about the car some more. Nathan shared several personal stories with our family and we were happy that we had him as our salesperson. But it didn't stop there. Once Finanace was ready for us, Nathan took it upon himself to take the vehicle to the the nearby service station and top of the gas tank. Outstanding. The financing process was quick and painless as we had pre-approval for the loan. Robert Seeney (F & I Manager) took over from there and made sure all the paperwork was in order since we were from out of state. He was extremely professional and had the personality of someone who took the customer service experience seriously. Bottom line is that our experience with Virginia Select Auto was exceptionally pleasant and we would hope that everyone would get the opportunity to work with Nathan if in the market to purchase a car. Their no-pressure process is something we will never forget. Thank you VA Select Auto!

Not a great experience with Richmond Mitsubishi…read more This message is for Maurice and the sales manager. I came into your dealership not having stellar credit after being invited to receive a voucher to help with my current situation and potentially purchase a vehicle. During my visit, I was told I would need a co-signer. When that option didn't work out, I was assured that you would continue exploring other financing options and that I would be contacted "either way." I had an appointment on Friday, May 2, 2026 at 11:00 AM. Today is Tuesday, May 5, and I have not received any follow-up. The issue here isn't just about whether or not I was approved. It's about communication and basic customer service. If you tell a customer you'll follow up "either way," that commitment should be honored. A quick call or message would have shown professionalism and respect for my time. Customer service matters, regardless of the outcome. Unfortunately, this experience did not reflect that. There wasa rip in the seat I asked if they could fix, answer no, sales rep didnt know about any features in the vehicle, I aksed if I could have an over night test drive, so that my mechanic could check out the older 2011 vehicle with over 150k miles, the answer was again no, I started looking around and found a newer one that had less miles and 4x4 for 3500 less. The sales rep through facebook then begins sending hateful messages saying I wasted his time asking for a buyers order, sending laughing crying faces to me, then said I wasnt serious after trying to haggle. Very unprofessional group of people and I would suggest nobody step foot in this building as they clearly dont care about their customers at all.

I need my vehicle for work and Jay told me "it is mechanically sound, you won't have any issues with reliability". Long story short-- 1 month after paying over 16k for this vehicle from them it is in the shop with multiple thousands worth of repairs. I confronted him about the issues and sketchy situation of the car having almost no gas in it (when I filled it up I noticed a strong gas odor THAT DAY) and he played dumb and said "I don't know nothing about no gas leak" which is a total shift in verbiage from how he normally talks-- AKA a big indicator someone is lying to you. After retiring from the military following a 38 year career, I decided to purchase a new Ram Truck…read morein January 2025. This was going to be the third Ram that I have owned and my "retirement" gift. My wife and I went to Whitten Brothers Ram on Midlothian Turnpike and found the exact truck I wanted. A solid black 2025 Ram 1500 Rebel with all the options. After finishing up the paperwork, we went out to drive the vehicle home. I should have suspected something when we came out and the vehicle was already running but, I did not. We drove the vehicle home and that is when the problems started. A few mornings later, I came out to go to work and the truck was dead as a doornail. I had to use the manual key to open the door. I contacted my salesman, Willy, at the dealership and they towed it in. After trouble shooting, they replaced both batteries. When I went to pick the truck up from the dealership, it would not start remotely or by pushing the start button inside. I decided to leave the truck at the dealership until they could fix that problem. A few weeks later we received a call from the service manager asking us to come in for a meeting. We go in for the meeting and he proceeds to tell us that it is a "known" problem on the 2025 Ram Trucks will not start on their parking lot due to some kind of interference. The work around is to place the key fob in the back passenger side seat to start the vehicle. At this point, I just wanted the truck back and decided to go with his solution hoping that a fix would come soon. Fast forward to May 2025, while driving in traffic on Interstate 95, all lights on the dash illuminated for 1 to 2 seconds, adaptive cruise control kicked off, the dash then went totally blank for 2 to 3 seconds and slowly came back to life with the fuel gauge showing zero when there was ¾ of a tank prior to this event. I took it in for repair and they found the power wire for the left rear midrange sensor was chaffed through. They repaired the truck, and I picked it up. Unfortunately, that repair did not fix the problem. This has occurred several different times. Originally on May 23 then subsequently on June 9, June 10, June 27 and August 28, 2025. I took it into Whitten Brothers Service Department for the fourth time for this specific problem on September 12, 2025. I picked it up on October 17, 2025 and I was told that there was a software problem but they has updated it and it should be good to go. The truck worked fine until May 12 and May 14 2026, it did the exact same thing as last year except it now shifts into neutral while still driving down the highway. This causes me to have to coast to the shoulder, completely stop, shift into park and back into drive before merging back onto the highway. Throughout the year and half that I have owned this truck, it has been in the shop for well over 4 months for this problem. It has been in the service department a week for this last episode, and I do not expect it to ready anytime soon. Bottom line, I do not recommend buying a Ram Truck or any vehicle from Whitten Brothers.
