Had been searching for a vehicle for my son for almost 2 months when I noticed a low mile 2019 Dodge Charger on their site with the specs we wanted. Only problem was that dealer was 4 hours away. Called and spoke to Nathan at around 4:00pm. That's when the over the top exceptional customer service experience began. We had recently thought we found a vehicle only to arrive at dealer and find the car was sold. Expressed our concern that this might happen again. Nathan explained the VA Select Policy of not "holding" a car if someone came into lot and wanted to purchase. What he did do, was commit to letting us know upon closing that evening (via text), that the car was in fact still available and we could commit to driving there in the morning. But that wasn't good enough for Nathan. He also went the extra mile and took a picture of a scratch he noticed on the vehicle and sent us pictures. Said he would ask the body shop to buff it out first thing in the morning. We texted Nathan when we departed our house at 6:30am (they don't open until 9) and he was then able to remove it from the lot so no one could purchase since we were now enroute. Upon arriving to the location after 4-hour drive, the first thing we say at the entrance was a shiny, newly detailed Dodge Charger. My son was very excited and Nathan proceeded to give us a 30-minute certificate to do a test drive. This completely suprised us, as our experience had been drive around the block with saleperson hovering in back seat. Son was convinced it was the car after driving it for 5 minutes. Upon our return, Nathan offered us beverages and escorted us to his desk for the daunting "sign and make it yours experience". Not once did we feel pressure. No haggling was required (we knew this before we came), and Nathan patiently answered each and every question. Once the paperwork was complete and ready for us to go to the financing department, we all went outside and talked about the car some more. Nathan shared several personal stories with our family and we were happy that we had him as our salesperson. But it didn't stop there. Once Finanace was ready for us, Nathan took it upon himself to take the vehicle to the the nearby service station and top of the gas tank. Outstanding. The financing process was quick and painless as we had pre-approval for the loan. Robert Seeney (F & I Manager) took over from there and made sure all the paperwork was in order since we were from out of state. He was extremely professional and had the personality of someone who took the customer service experience seriously. Bottom line is that our experience with Virginia Select Auto was exceptionally pleasant and we would hope that everyone would get the opportunity to work with Nathan if in the market to purchase a car. I totally agree with Barry R. What is different for me? Stuck in the parking lot at 2am. 2009 not cranking. New battery. Jumping did no good. Knew it had to be electrical. A co-worker brought me home, out of her way. Woke up the next morning thinking, I've got a good job even with it challenging. But I need reliable transportation to keep this job. A friend came by to pick me up 2 weeks earlier. "You've got to do something.". She packed me in her car that rainy day and headed north. We both know Amherst County. First stop was VA Select, and a young woman came out. Okay, I can deal with this. But we checked out a couple of prices before she even got to us. No way with my credit and dead car issues. I waited for VA Select to open. Called. Emily Woody answered. Explained I need to buy a reliable car, but I don't have transportation to va Select. She mentioned filling out online credit application when she got back to me. I said no, I'm not going to do that. I don't even know if you have what I need. I don't even know what I need. Can you send me a pic of your driver's license? Yes. Did you get it? Yes ma'am. When can you be ready? I'm ready now. 10 minutes or so later I'm climbing in a big pickup. Emily had told me cheapest car on the lot was a 2017 Ford Fiesta. She showed me that, and two others in the same ballpark. I just felt happy looking at it. Comparing all three. The hatchback really sold me. Okay, my ride that was just too much for me to keep sinking money into as a single older woman. Was a Volvo 5 speed turbo that my son brought me after my old 240 started giving problems. The story doesn't end with Emily and me going out for a test drive. Silly as this sounds, I look at her and say, so you're going to drive it? Hey, I'm not used to new cars. She hands me the key and says, No, you're the one considering buying this car. You're driving. She cranked up the ac, turned on the radio, and when we pulled out heading north on 29, I floored it. Nope, not a turbo. But, that little car moved like one little bullet. I was satisfied. Story is not over. Sent second son pic of new car and told him about how much Emily was a help. He says, "Yeah, she's nice.". What do you mean she's nice? Like thinking he went to school with her, or maybe her parents? "Nah. She sold us our cars." Not over yet. I'm sitting in the parking lot, relaxing before time to go in. And a young girl stops at my window. "Is this a 2017 Ford Fiesta?? "Yes.". "I saw the red Dot on the back. You got it from VA Select.". Yes. I looked at this car. Went home to think about it. Came back next day and was told it was gone." In a way, I felt bad. But, I really don't. I know Va Select will help her anyway they can. read more

Easily the most efficient, no pressure car purchase I've ever made through a dealer. The price on our lightly used 2017 car was fair, and Nathaniel was professional and efficient. I had done a lot of research and pre-selected a car I was familiar with. The whole transaction including test drive took only an hour.
