DO NOT GO HERE! First, the customer service is terrible. They were very rude to me while dropping my car off to get an oil change on 5/9. Secondly, they never called me when it was ready to pick up (they told me they would). I had to call them an hour before they closed. Lastly, when I picked up my car they had left the passenger window open and it had rained heavily that day. My passenger seat was soaked. They told me the manager would contact me, manager never did. I texted their customer service number on the weekend regarding the incident, no response. I called on Monday and they showed no care for what they did. Will never going here again! I recommend going to the New Haley down Hull Street in the Brandmill area. I hope Haley closes this shop up asap!! Only went with this location because it had availability the same week I needed the oil change but now I know why! The Brandmill location is booked two weeks in advance but I will now be waiting the two weeks just to avoid this dump. **I also wanted to add that you should not leave any kind of money in the car. The service team will take it. I had some change in the cupholder. It was gone when I got my car. The other review was right about how they steal here. read more

If I could rate it 0 stars I would. We made an appointment for 3:30 and drove 2 HOURS for it. They didn't give us a heads up that the car we were looking at was getting looked at/sold or anything. They just said "nothing we can do about it" and that was extremely disappointing. Please don't drive out of your way for this business. Go somewhere more reliable. read more

Vert all I wanted was a oil change and had to walk a mile because they didn't pick me up was too easy to ask my number . Asked for air in my Camry put over 40 lbs of air in each tire . do not go there they hung up on me when I complained . They are more trying to make money on something they can find . Too bad I can't give this place no stars based on my experience, but I'm leaving what was required to leave a review. I'd like to start off with sending a strong warning to NOT choose this place if you are going through your insurance for any car repairs. I'm actually writing this review while waiting in their service department waiting for my car to be repaired after a 7 MONTH WAIT on a window molding and bumper. This is also after they had my car for two months doing the initial repairs and me paying an extra $1k for rentals since my rental allowance was exhausted with my insurance. I've been calling weekly-biweekly after being told countless times by the receptionist Karen and Ian Hall that they would keep me updated and let me know as soon as the parts came in to schedule the repair. I was told that the bumper was in the actual shop months prior (November) and how they did not want to schedule me to get it fixed until the window molding was here . I happened to call a week ago to check yet again just for them to tell me "oh the part came in a few days ago" . Keep in mind this is after 7 months of waiting and an unfinished two month repair . They were able to schedule me for today for 8am and still could not confirm that the vehicle would be completed before the end of the day. don't even know where to start. brought my vehicle in last week to get a few things replaced. job estimate for what needed and at other dealerships, doing my research was 16-24 hours and 1500-3000$. not in this case the writer we have Mike is terrible this dealership is losing money and now resort to charging people alot more money that they don't even need to pay. I was quoted 1500 by this service department and it being the closest I decided why not. not even after the 2nd day the price jumped to 5800. i was not notified and they continued working. this service department has no communication what so ever and Mike even laughed at us because we were having issues. anyways my vehicle has been there for two weeks getting worked on maybe 2 hours a day. they keep pushing my vehicle back because they know they'll be making money on it and decide to work on others as well instead of mine. there hourly rate isn't even listed in detail compared to other dealerships. they want to speak with insurance companies to get more money from them. this is my 3rd time here I thought it would be better and this has been the worst experience. bob has been great at helping out though. do your research on other places to get serviced. if needing to come here do not deal with Mike at the front desk. My wife had a $20 and a $50 in the small coin drawer to the left of the steering wheel she received from Costco the day before. After the car was serviced today the $50 was missing and the $20 was in the floorboard off to the side. The general manager told her his guys didn't take it--he didn't offer to research what happened, and didn't say to her that he was sorry that it happened. When his lack of apology and dismissive attitude prompted her to raise her voice he then threatened to call the cops. She told him to go ahead but he didn't. (She is barely 5' tall and is a small lady.) We filed a police report about the theft. There are other reviews here about things missing after others service. I took my car yesterday for just routine service. i was told it was 300.00 dollars. I asked what they were doing. Had my tires rotated a few months ago. Get it down to 150.00. Half hour later they said my filers were dirty so i say ok replace them. Back up to 300.00 dollars. A;so heard same guy saying the filters were dirty to someone else on the phone. And i get home my husband says they were replaced last time. A few months ago. What a ripe off. Get that 300.00 anyway you can guys, Also asked about a fob replacement 400.00 dollars. Get my car back and hour later. Car starts but no fob can't find it anywhere. I said I am not leaving here till you find the fob. I left it in the passenger seat when i dropped it off expecting it on dash board or on seat or in cup holder like my old dealer would do. Four guys start looking for the fob takes about 5 minutes 4 guys. it was hidden under papers in in my glove compartment. I will never go back there. And you should never go either. Tell your friends too because I live in a pretty good size high end development and anyone i can tell I will. Is it worth that extra money now boys????? GO TO OURISMAN TOYOTA RICHMOND If you want professional service, great communication, trust and honesty‼ I brought my vehicle in for a motor recall, which the vehicle was dropped off on a Sunday so it could be looked at Monday. they called me Friday telling me that they will have the technician look at the vehicle... SO IT TOOK THEM A WHOLE ENTIRE WEEK BASICALLY JUST TO TELL ME THEY ARE NOW GETTING TO MY VEHICLE! So the next Monday rolls around i hear nothing then wed comes around I finally get a call telling me they will order parts. you would think if I call a WEEK before and schedule an appointment and inform the service advisor on the recall he'd move with a sense of urgency and relay the information to the parts department so they could order parts and get thing's ordered. This recall came out in 2013 and I know for a fact they have done plenty of them since it was a worldwide recall. I still haven't heard anything back from them on the parts they "Ordered" so I'm now at a different toyota dealer and they ordered parts and got them the same week and the vehicle will be finished this week. The car service section is top-notch! I've been taking my car for service there for 10 years, but it was just the other morning that I was reminded at how great they really are. My tire had a blowout in morning rush hour on the side of the Powhite extension, unforeseen, and I was stranded. They came out quickly and put the spare on and worked with me on next steps for a permanent fix. Raman, in the service center, could not have been more helpful and fantastic. He made sure I was safe. They sent someone to help and got me up and running. Thank you to Raman, the gentleman who put the spare on and the entire service team for making my emergency their emergency. read more

I was a loyal customer at this Toyota location for several years. I would take my Corolla there and spend a lot of my money there for oil changes and whatever the reps there would recommend, even when money was low..I trusted them. Recently, I bought a used truck from there that was recently dropped off and BOY was that a mistake. The day I arrived after a day of paper work to pick up the truck I was given a dirty truck after I was promised a full detail first. This was before they got paid. I got home and noticed that my oil was super dirty, trash was underneath the seats and middle console. It didn't come with an owners manual. I made several calls and when I finally got my rep on the phone he blamed me for 'rushing him' when it was him who actually called me to let me know the truck was ready to be picked up that day. After I dropped it back off they detailed the truck and I was excited to see it. They did a great job of cleaning it up and changing the oil. They didn't put an oil change sticker in the windshield indicating when I was due back for another oil change so I had to remind them of that as well before I left the lot. Also, my Corolla has the wrong mileage on its oil change sticker from my last visit. According to them, my car has has over 100k miles less than it actually has on it. Totally different number. I had to use carfax to check the mileage I had when I last dropped it off. Negligent. I got home and noticed that the truck was leaking oil so I called them and they asked me to bring the truck back. I brought it back the next morning and the head salesman noticed the truck pulling in the lot and marched down to the service department and said "We've already put a lot of money into this truck. Can you get the guy to tighten the bolt on the oil pan." Before I could say a word this is what he said to the service guy, which was odd because it was almost cryptic. In other words he was saying no matter if it's a major problem we will not cover it, so fix it cheap! It hasn't leaked since so I'm happy with that but his actions made me quite angry. They promised me a gas fill up after the truck purchase and when I showed up to get a full refill the rep tried to give me a half refill. I showed them the card that they gave me with their own writing indicating a full refill and he did just that. It was like pulling teeth. Very shady business. Not too long after that incident my truck started making a very odd, loud noise under the hood so I had to take the truck back again. The rep told me that the belts were bad and had to be replaced so they replaced them. I got my truck back and the noise was still there. I didn't notice it immediately but as I left the lot the became extremely loud so I turned the truck around and brought it back. They looked under the hood and told me it was an evap line which wound up becoming a vacuum pump and not the belts. I couldn't get my money back for the belts and now I needed to come out of pocket for a part that would cost me over $500 and took close to a month for them to get. I was asked to wait 3 weeks and that I would receive a phone call from Bob. No phone call in a month so I called letting him know that my truck has been sitting for almost a month. He had no recollection of our conversation or my situation and the part that I needed never got ordered. I was forgotten and so was my situation. I basically wasted my time and energy there. That day I told Bob that I wanted a refund for my warranty and asked to be forwarded to Ronnie. It didn't cover anything that I needed fixed when I went there. I also asked for a property manager, which I was told they didn't have. I received a phone call to come in for a follow up as to why I wanted to cancel my warranty. I came in and spoke to a sales rep about all my issues and there were so many issues (I'm sure that I'm leaving a lot out)...But, he told me that my experiences sounded horrible and that he would get the 'property manager' to contact me the next day. I'm still waiting on that call. It's been months. But, I thought they didn't have a property manager. I wound up taking my truck to Roy's Auto and they got a stock vacuum pump the next day. I feel a weight lifted from my shoulders not having to deal with them ever again. They went from the best to the worst service ever. I don't believe they considered the history I had with them over many, many years. It's sad but it's the reality of my situation. Do not buy a car from there, ever, if you want honesty. I learned the hard way. The customer service used to be great but only Ahmed seems to honor that in my opinion. The guys I've dealt with are grouchy and seem to not like it there. I called and made an appointment at this shop well in advance, so I could have the earliest appointment and be in and out as I was going to wait. My appointment was for 7:30. After waiting for 30 minutes and my vehicle was still parked in the lot, I questioned the service writer who did the intake. I was then informed that the mechanics don't start till 8am. I was completely surprised as no one told me this when I made my appointment. This makes no sense. After waiting for another 30 minutes, I again had to question the service writers when my vehicle would be taken back. They said when a technician had a slot. I was lead to believe I had the first apppointment of the day, so this was another miscommunication/no communication. He said "let me go see what they are doing". He never came to the waiting room to let me know anything. My vehicle was then taken back and the service completed in 20 minutes. (Hopefully appropriately, I will have this checked, ) I will say that the gentleman in the parts department who changed the key fob battery was very nice and helpful. I've been in the vehicle service industry, so I know how these things should proceed. I was very disappointed to say the least. Good thing that first oil change was free, or I would have left sooner. read more

If you are a woman, go anywhere else. The people working here are rude, condescending and unhelpful. I can't speak to how they service Toyotas, but they can't/won't do basic repairs on a Hyundai. My experience in the past few months owning the car makes me want to trade it in elsewhere so I can have a service agreement that actually amounts to service. Kenny is great, the rest of the management is beyond hopeless. There are so many options for purchasing a car, go literally anywhere else and chances are you will be happier. read more

We traveled from out of town to purchase 2 commercial vehicles with the expectation that the paper work would be ready to go and should be done in about an hour. Three hours later we are still there waiting to sign documents. Once in with the finance department I see numerous questionable fees attached to the purchase. They removed two fees for window etching and nitrogen tire fill, but insisted that the $165 filing fee is a VA law. I did some digging and could not find any VA law with this fee. So buyers beware of the additional fees they try to tack on. Overall one of the worst buying experiences and I will not return. read more

Well...looks like there is a bad pattern starting to form here as per some of the other reviews and it involves being taken advantage of! I have been taking my car to this same location after buying my car in 2015. I have felt like the prices were well done, state inspections fair, and overall good customer service. This visit, I dropped my car off for an oil change, received a call to confirm what I wanted done and pick up time, and then received another call selling me on a $300 service package. Toyota had not done this to me before. And they were telling me how they "highly recommend" I get it done. So an additional $300 later I had my oil change I went in for and some fluids drained and filled. Should have called my friend that is a mechanic first because he informed me that they pulled one over on me. I feel embarrassed that I fell for it. I will NOT be taking my car back here again. I went to pick up my car and they said they did not do the oil change because I didn't check in. They did not tell I had to check in when I made the appointment. I thought about posting the astronomical amount of labor they charged me (because their "book" says it takes days) for 45 minutes work, but thinking about it gives me nightmares. They claimed they fixed the car, but a few days later the same thing was happening. Then they charged me another $500 saying it was something else. I got it back again, and still felt the issue going on. When picking the car up there is no acknowledgement, no hello, no goodbye....nothing (they should have rolled out a red carpet for what I spent on simple maintenance items - almost 3 grand). Just a "pay at the window" (without even looking up from his computer. I want to emphasize this was at the Midlothian Turnpike Service Center. I will never, ever buy another Toyota, specifically because of this service center. I usually took mine to Lonas Parkway, but towing it all the way out there was too much. Should have done that. Lonas always showed me the bad part so I could see they were telling the truth. I was so upset at the price of these maintenance items and being charged excessive labor that I forgot to ask for all that. But learned next time I go anywhere. I want to see the car, the parts, and I want the old ones returned to me. I found an old cinderblock building with a guy in overalls that is 99% cheaper, but he is a mechanic that knows about cars. They should really look into appointment based service to accommodate customers in a timely manner. Aside from that, customer service can be improved. Abstain yourselves from doing business with this dealership, moreover buying a Toyota. I purchased a brand new Toyota and, 4 years later the paint started peeling off on multiple parts of the car. Ever since, it is been a battle with Toyota and the dealership to get my car repainted even when they submitted a recall about a defect on the paint sealing for that particular model. The recall included a warranty paint. When I took my car in, service manager Ian Hall failed to do an accurate estimate and did not include a pealed the size of a coin in the back of my car. Service manager, Ian Hall and Body shop manager Lisa Coleman have neglected to perform an accurate estimate and both of these individuals and the manufacturer having passing the ball for 4 months now. And, after posting this review I will get a response of "please reach out to this email address or phone number" that's what I've been doing and everybody is absolving themselves from a defect on the sealing paint. I just wanted to post this to warn consumers about the incompetence of this dealership and its manufacturer. Never ever again will buy a Toyota. read more

After finding a used car online, I communicated directly with the person who manages internet sales (at Haley Toyota in Richmond). She got back to me quickly this morning and invited me to make the 150-mile round trip this afternoon for a test drive. Unfortunately when I arrived, she told me that the car was not available - one of the sales staff had been working for more than a week with an out-of-state customer who was scheduled to wire money today to close the deal. She and her manager apologized, but had no other inventory that matched this vehicle. I received a follow-up email from the internet sales person 3 hours after leaving the showroom: "Just wanted to say thanks for coming in today and letting me help you in your vehicle buying decisions. If I can do anything else for you let me know. Here is some additional information on the vehicle you looked at today." What followed was a long description of the car and its amenities. First, she did not meet with me while I was there (one of the sales staff did walk me around the lot) and second, this left me with the impression that the original sale had fallen through and that the car was indeed available. However, when I asked this question of her and the salesman (via email reply) I was told that the certified check had arrived and that the car was not available. I sincerely believe that this was not an attempt to "bait-and-switch" but, nevertheless, was extremely frustrated by the lack of communication between the sales staff. It's incomprehensible how one member of the staff could know nothing about another sales staff's progress on the sale of a particular car. At a minimum, there should have been a flag in the internal data sheet that would alert another staff member of the availability of their inventory. The entire experience left me with the impression that I would be better off working with a more organized dealership. read more

hot my daughter a car when we got home realized the tires were totally bad called them and they basically said oh well it passed inspection also befi purchasing the car we noticed a crack in the windshield and they said they would take care of it well after we signed the paperwo they said oh it has already been filled if it cracks anymore bring it back we will replace it at no cost well how should you believe that when you would do anything about the bad tires you sold me I had to put a down payment down then two days later but 900 dollar tires I will never buy from them again!!! and I already purchased 2 cars there this is 3 never again will I buy or let my family associate with them disgusted to the max!! read more

The service men were not respectful. They were seemingly bored with their job and not too thrilled to have customers. I was not greeted with any appreciation of my presence. I sat in the collision center and the four men were talking about a previous customer quite disrespectfully. I understand being frustrated with folks but to express it in front of a customer is wrong. I have been here several times. Their mechanical work is great. Tried to buy a vehicle from these folks, we had agreed upon pricing through an exchange of emails and phone calls when suddenly they are telling me the prospected vehicle had been hit on their lot while in their possession. And get this, they are expecting me to pay to repair damages and would like to add an extra $1,100 for repairing the "minor damage". Do they not have insurance on their vehicles? Was this accident not caught on tape? Why should this be my responsibility to pay the damages when I haven't signed any paperwork confirming my purchase? Absolutely do not recommend this dealership. I take my wife's car here for service once in a while and it never fails, everytime I go in there I see and hear the service writers arguing about what a customer did or how it was the other person's job to handle the situation and it's very unprofessional to do that where people can see and hear you talk about customers like that. I also saw a service writer tell a customer what the technician recommended but didn't make it sound important that it needed to be done. All they said was "Well, it's up to you if you want to do it or not, it's not up to me." I mean if I'm recommending an important service to someone, and they can't do it or afford it right now, I would let them know that it's okay if they can't do it now, say it should be done soon and that they are always here whenever they are ready to get it done. That might make me dish out the extra money to get it done sooner than later. The only thing I've had an issue with is that they tell me my car will be done in 1 hour but 2 hours pass and no one has said anything to me. This gets really irritating because it's happened twice, but not just with this Haley, Haley Buick and Haley Toyota on Hull st. If it's going to take 2 or more hours than tell me that and I'll go do something else instead of wait in the customer lounge I like Haley certified because their prices are competitive but man their customer service really needs help read more

We bought a 2009 Yaris from Haley in Dec 2008. The car is great, gets good mileage. One of the perks was their "Rewards Card" - you basically earned points for maintenance service performed. Points were calculated based on dollars spent. It was a nice program. We were able to save a few bucks from the couple of times we took the car in. There never was mechanical trouble but the manufacturer built in all these digital 'reminders'. Every time the car's odometer nears one of the recommended milestone maintenance inspections (e.g., 5000, 10000, etc), the 'Maintenance Required" light will flash when the car starts for the next hundred miles or so. As you get to the milestone mileage, the light stays on all the time. Basically, you take the car in to get the light turned off. Well, last time in, we were told that the dealer had done away with the 'Rewards Card'. We had a few dollars left from the previous visit (no points earned from the current visit) that were applied to our bill. That was nice - we were able to use up our points, but it was very disappointing to learn that the program was canceled. read more

So I brought in my 2016 Toyota for service, well within the bumper-to-bumper warranty period (~35k), and stated the service issues to the service clerk (noise coming from the front end of the car). I was told I would need to sign an authorization form to pay a $58 minimum charge if any damage was found, BEFORE they would even assess the vehicle??! I told him that this makes no sense, and that I had, on several occasions at another dealer, as well as THIS one, utilized Toyota Service to assess other similar issues without pre-authorizing a potential fee to be charged!! Then the service manager standing at the end of the service counter spoke up, stating that in order for their "technicians to be paid", they would need to have this charge pre-authorized. I stated that I obviously understood that any damage outside of normal wear-and-tear would, in any scenario, not be covered. My frustration is that the vehicle is still under factory warranty, and they WOULD NOT ASSESS THE ISSUE until I promised to pay this potential minimum $58 fee!! The service manager was VERY impolite, pushy, rude, and forceful with his tone and comments. This guy is the SOLE reason why I'm writing this review. I wasn't happy about the $58 fee that I needed to pre-authorize, but I would have blown it off if I'd received better, more cordial customer service. I had plans to check out some certified-used Tacomas on the lot, but my plans changed after this treatment. So as it turned out, they could not duplicate this issue, no "damage" was found, so I didn't need to pay the $58 fee I'd pre-authorized. I went to Haley Toyota today to get my car serviced and cleaned. I was there for nearly 4 hours - I was supposed to have my car detailed and washed. The car indeed was washed on the outside but the inside was never touched. Upon waiting for hours, everyone else was informed why their service was taking so long and some were even offered to have food brought to them. I however was the only one in the room not spoken to. The man ended up giving my car wash to me for free but now I am going to have to go somewhere else to get my car detailed. It was clearly never even attempted to be cleaned on the inside. I would give 1 star but the washing of my car for free seemed deserving of 2 stars. Do not go here unless you want to be ignored & have your service halfway complete. read more

Up until March 2019 I had reserved judgement but after what just happened this week I will never be comfortable trusting their judgement when it comes to repair of my cars. On the morning of March 3, 2019 my Prius 2008 lost all power and most lights came on near the Hulk Street exit I got off the exit is soon as I could park the car on the side of the road and got it towed to Haley on Midlothian 8013 Midlothian Turnpike where it has gone for maintenance and for any repairs since we've owned it. They told us that the main battery the two speed sensors our brakes front brakes to the tune of $6500 we got a list of the codes because it seems like a lot of money and we had them looked at by somebody that does the big hybrid batteries and he explained to us that the biggest code that need to be fixed was the fact that the gasoline engine wasn't running at the time that The car quit and threw off all the codes so you needed to get the gasoline engine running before you could find out if the batteries were damaged or if anything else needed to be taken care of but that wasn't the way Haley wanted to do it they wanted to replace all of the batteries the speed sensors in the brakes and then we would've discovered what the problem was because we took it to another dealer McGeorge across town they diagnosed that the car ran out of gas and that the gas module was defective and had to be replaced they put gas in it and drove it around and then they replaced the gas module so when they drove it around they cleared all the codes and none of the codes came back they've now replaced the gas module it's been at the shop for several days it's been on several test drives we have no codes for any of the batteries needing to be replaced the way Haley did it we would've paid all that money to have the batteries and the sensors and the brakes $6500 done and then they would've said oh by the way the fuel module isn't working The way they did it I am not sure if they were trying to cheat us or if they're just not smart enough to realize what the codes mean but I would not feel comfortable taking my cars back to them read more
