Sadly, Maria's work is great but her TIME MANGEMENT is deplorable! I dropped of my suit on 11/18/25...and on 2/10/2026...it is still not completed!!! I had planned to wear the suit on New Year's Eve...that night came and went. Then on Valentine's Day...well, that will not happen. Always a promise from her...tomorrow, no tomorrow. Unfortunately, no matter how great her work is, you may never get your item(s) back completed on time...or if you do, will they even fit months later?! Stay away from this seamstress. As a point of information...I AM A REPEAT CUSTOMER. UNACCEPTABLE! If there was a rating below ZERO, that rating would apply here. I dropped off two items to be taken in on July 7. I paid in full in advance as it was a requirement and my receipt was marked as a rush. I was promised the items would be ready on Friday, July 18 by no later than 3:30 PM as I had stated when I dropped them off that they were part of a birthday outfit for my cruise and I was leaving on Saturday morning I was promised items would be ready. My friend went to pick them up today at 3:30 and was told that the items were not ready to come back at 5 PM. She went back at 5 PM to pick up the items and they had not even been started yet. I was on the phone at the time and was told "the air-conditioning went out in the building" I told her while I understand that things happen, I should've been notified well in advance that my items would not be ready as promised as they were for a special occasion, and she assured me that they would be ready. I asked her why she did not call me and she said that she is a busy woman. I absolutely will never use this place again, when asked for a refund, she told my friend it would be Zelled A refund and that "I'm a friend she knows me". This is the first time I have met this woman. I immediately called back and said I wanted the Zelle right away to confirm that I would be getting my refund to which I was told that she had to wait until she got home that night to do it from a computer, I said, don't you have a computer in the office or the app on your phone and she said it can only be done from her home phone!!! As of right now, I am out $52 as a patiently wait a Zelle and now I am out my birthday outfit for my cruise tomorrow morning I am completely disappointed and upset!!!!!!!!! read more

I have had three garments altered at this location. Quality of work After much back and forth, the work was done to my ask. Make sure to stand up for yourself and explain clearly your expectations. Otherwise, she will do her best. I say this because I purchased a pantsuit that was too long, and I wanted to keep it long, but take the middle section in. I wanted it to feel more like pants on the bottom half and give me a more comfortable fit on the top. This was the first piece I had her work on. She was able to give me an extra inch for a more comfortable fit, she wasn't able to keep the length and make the bottom half feel like pants. I didn't love the finished product, but it was the best she could do. I asked to take in shorts. She took in too much and put a band to give me a flexible fit. It is too tight now and ruined the look I was going for. Dress, I wanted it hemmed and really fought for the length I requested. She wanted it shorter than what I had asked, we finally got on the same page. She said she would be willing to shorten the straps without charge. She forgot to write it down and didn't end up doing it. The length of the dress was perfect but felt incomplete without the straps being shortened. Overall, the owner is very friendly. Out of all the pieces I sent her only one was done on time. All others took at least a week longer than initially mentioned. She often didn't call to let me know it would be another week but told me once I came in to pick up the item. The phone system this past week has gone straight to voicemail. She doesn't have her hours of operation posted anywhere so it was often a guessing game. Price Hems started around $70 dollars and shorts were about $12. It felt like a lot each time, but not sure if it reasonable. read more

Horrible tailor!!! Needed one pair of pants altered. Had to come back three times as it was never ready as promised. Had to go back fourth time to have button sewn on she forgot about. The fifth time I had to go back was because she also forgot to close the entire crotch seam, spent a day in them with the crotch wide open flailing in the wind. Stay Away..... there are probably a million better "tailors" in Delray Beach alone. $250.00 to alter my Tuxedo seemed a little high but for some reason, I went ahead anyway...maybe because she already started to do the pinning of the suit without really telling me anything before she started....but I digress. I was told it would take two weeks to do the work, which surprised me. I needed the suit in 2.5 weeks and she assured me it would be completed and perfect by then. I had an actual appointment on the Wednesday before the Saturday party and when I arrived I was told it was not ready yet and I should "come back tomorrow after 4pm". I was a little concerned that not only would it not be ready but also concerned that it may need additional altering. I came back the following day and the suit was ready. It did fit...not "perfect" but OK. When I was dressing for the party and attempted to put on my suspenders, she neglected to replace the buttons for my suspenders!!!!! My cumberbund helped keep my trousers up so I was able to be somewhat comfortable. Soooooooo......I went back to her to replace the buttons, which kinda made her laugh...I did not find it funny...and she gave me another "appointment" for two days later to just sew in two buttons. I arrived on time for my appointment the pants were not ready....."come back later" I'm 67 years old and I have never posted anything anywhere...I don't even Facebook.....but because of her poor workmanship, joking attitude in regarding my concerns, and the fact that I had to go to her place SIX TIMES for one suit to be altered......I needed to do something.......BUYER BEWARE! read more

I had an amazing experience with Yer Designer! I came in with a dress that needed to be hemmed for an event and the owner took care of me in a very timely manner and is very skilled in her trade. Aside from alternations, she even makes wedding dresses which I found so impressive and definitely made me feel like I was in good hands! I highly recommend this business, this is someone I can see myself going back to for all future alterations or if I ever have a custom piece that I need -- I know she is the one to do it! All around it was a wonderful experience working with her, she is a lovely lady who makes good conversation and has an eye for fashion and what looks good!
