Updating my review after seeing the owner's response because it's honestly misleading. I gave more than two weeks' notice, yet I was still pushed into "rush" pricing that didn't align with my actual timeline. Also, I was clearly told there would be no fittings for my wedding dress -- so it's confusing to now see claims about multiple fittings being standard. That was not what I was offered. For comparison, I went to a larger, cleaner, more established alterations studio and was quoted $900 WITH fittings included for similar work. Meanwhile, I was quoted $1,600 here WITHOUT fittings. That price difference speaks for itself. I'm sharing this so other brides understand exactly what they may be quoted versus what's actually included because transparency matters, especially this close to a wedding. read more

I have been using this tailor for a few years and their prices have steadily been increasing over the past few years, to the point of ridiculous. But, I have continued to go because they do good work, or at least they used to. Last month I brought a zipper to be fixed in, and I needed to bring it back. Today was the last straw. I brought a pair of jeans in for a simple hem. Price was excessive, but they measured and I just left them. The day they were suppose to be ready (a week later) they called to say they would not be ready until noon. OK, went at 12:45 and they not even been started yet. I said, "It's a simple hem", I was informed that they get hundreds of hems a week. That is not a reason for them to not have items ready when promised. I took my pants and left. Absurd pricing. The quality of the work is fine, not exceptional. I've been a loyal customer for years, but can no longer afford to give them my business. No set prices, no prices advertised. They make the prices up on a whim, probably based off what they think you can afford. Spent $70 for a zipper repair on a child's outfit. $20 rush fee, which I don't dispute. $50 for 12 inches of plastic zipper?!? Additionally, my mother was also a loyal customer until they charged her card 3 times for a single service. When she went to address the charges with them they refused to be of any help. Customers should avoid at all costs, you can find similar quality tailoring for more competitive pricing. They are on the way to pricing themselves out of business! read more

Amazing next day work!!! Brought this piece to Norma's when I was in serious need of an alteration that needed to be done within 24 hours. She took it no problem, added this skirt is made of PU vinyl which hard to work with as is. My skirt was ready on pick up. Turned out better than what I could even imagine. Although competent tailors, they are absolute rudest people. They do not say hello when greeted and complain if you come in 10 minutes before closing. They also have all kinds of ridiculous stipulations regarding what form of payment they will take and change their rules monthly. I don't care if I have to pay double to go somewhere else, they are not get any more of my business, and that includes my husband as well. read more

My wife gave her two dresses to fix, one with two ripped straps and the other to take the line up since it showed when she bent. She fixed only one strap and then didn't even bring the line up, it was still showing. She even had the audacity to make us pay before even showing us what she did. And then she argued with her saying she fixed it and it was brought up. Not the best customer service. Not even a "oh, I'm sorry, here let me fix that for you". Rude. On top of that, it cost $16.38 for something that we personally saw her spend 5 minutes of labor doing both. We aren't going here again. read more

Every time I've greeted the owner with an upbeat Good Morning, she doesn't respond or she is a total Debbie-Downer and verbally attacked me when asked her a simple question...no matter what, it's unpleasant...I'd only go back if no other place was open, and even then I'd consider using a staple gun! Not much on writing reviews but felt that I needed to share my experience with this business.First time customer and ended up there based on the location. I went in around a month ago to have two suits altered. Just the hems and the sleeves. The first time I wore one of the suits the hem came out. Took them back a few days later when I had the time to get away from my office. They apologize and repaired them while I waited. Norma did not seem to really be too concerned that I had to take my valuable time to come back and more importantly that they did a poor job in the first place. Got over it and moved on. A month later the other hem on the other suit came out. Once again I had to take the time to leave my office and bring them back to have them repaired. This time I felt that I needed to say something and politely asked if they had a problem with the thread they were using or if there was another issue that would make the hem come out my two suits in less then a month. Norma was completely unapologetic and could care less that I had to be inconvenienced due to the quality of her work. More importantly the total disrespect and lack of appreciation of my business was amazing to me. There is a sign outside that her business is recognizxed as Bica Best tailor of 2014. Maybe this has gone to her head. I will not patronize them and will tell my co-workers and friends about my experience. Beware: she has a temper and will argue and yell. She also charges so much! I could have gotten it done somewhere else for much cheaper. Terrible customer service. I gave her my dress to work on and cut the bottom to make it shorter because it was too long. I gave it to her about a week and a half in advance and she said she would have it ready really soon don't worry! So then I called a week later just to get an update and she yelled at me saying no not yet until Tuesday for a fitting before she cuts it officially. So we call her on Tuesday and she yells at me again and argues saying my dress is too big that she has more customers and she can't finish it until Thursday (the night before I need it) and she will call us. She also said that someone else is helping her and that they are laughing because we expect it in 2 days (even though we don't? We gave it to her 1.5 weeks in advance? I just didn't say anything because I didn't want her to yell more.) So I'm never going back to her and the only reason I'm staying is because it's too late to tell someone else. read more
