I took several pants at once for alterations at Cigia's and had no issues but when I return for one of them because when I try them on the sewing lines were loose and the older lady that does the sewing said I was too picky and that she preferred for me to find another tailor. I don't know if she was having a bad day or not but this is not good customer service. read more

By far the worst tailor I've been too. They ruined my brand new suit jacket at the sleeves, my pants were hemmed without double sided tape so the hems were loose and flimsy and another jacket was not touched around the waist line. These alterations costs me over $230. When confronted, one woman rushed out to grab "security" from the pizzeria next door and thenIi was kicked out of the tailor with zero resolution. Brought a shirt in for just a hem because my normal place was closed the day I needed to bring it in. Fortunately they were open and was able to take the shirt in. What normally cost me $15 was now $26 which seemed to be over priced just for a hem. Either way I left it . Three weeks later the shirt was ready and as I went to pick it up the lady insisted I need my ticket.. I gave her my last name and instead of looking for the last name on the top of the ticket she's looking at the clothes instead (mind you all the wrong clothes I described ) I finally saw it and told her , then she asked me for my number . Ma'am we could have avoided all of that if you just looked at the last name or asked prior. Then before leaving she made sure to say next time have your ticket ...upon checking the shirt at home , the shirt was cut when asked just for a hem. My husband was so upset because he's no longer able to wear it . I loved the convenience of the location but I will not be back. read more

Aside from their work being absolutely horrendous, they have customer service to match. We had some mens dress clothes tailored. The job was deplorable and quite pricey. Not only were some of the articles untouched, others were completely destroyed. I called the owner who told us to come in which we did. He was not there that day so instead one of his employees began to scream at us when i said the work was poorly done and we would like a refund on the tailoring as well as money to now replace a handful of his clothes that were destroyed. My voice was not raised until this blonde woman says "Gloria press the red button!!! Im going to get the boys." She comes back in with about 10 kids who work at the pizzeria next door. A complete lunatic! telling me to "get the fuck out!" By no means was I threatening to her, i didnt raise my voice until she came back in with a group of people. Now whose the intimidating one? I have never in my life been thrown out of a business. it is now 2 weeks later and still no resolution. I am out the cost of the clothes plus about $200 worth of "tailoring." I just called again to speak with the owner. Instead the same clown picks up the phone and says "may i help you? i said yes is the owner in? her response-again, may i help you?" i began speaking and she hung up on me. All of their reviews are the same, terrible. I am now reporting them to the better business bureau and then will be calling the police. This business doesnt take credit cards for this exact reason. They dont know what they are doing! they ruin your belongings then refuse to give you your money back. This is the worst business i have ever been to in my life! I have been going to Cigia's in Delray for years with ALL my alterations. It's been awhile since I went back these last couple of years so when I went last week, I needed two formal dresses altered. They were very busy but they made every effort to accommodate me to get the dresses back to me altered for when I needed them. They could've sent me away but they didn't. I can't thank them enough for the compassion they had and the time they took to alter two difficult dresses with multiple layers. They truly put the customer first! I have given this place two tries and they manage to mess up both times. I guess I should have never came back after the first ordeal. I went to get my jeans hemmed with the original hem. They charge 20 which is kind of expensive. I went to pick up the jeans and guess what type of hem it is? Not the original. Now I know there will be an issue as the jeans have been cut but the lady said she still had the hem. Upon return the jeans were too short. Now I'm out a brand new pair of jeans. Best tailor in town ! Gloria is very maticulous and accommodating to customers. I'm not sure what was going on the other day when I was in the place there was a customer going off on the owners for no reason yelling and screaming and acting intensely rude! She was trying to get money I assumed however the owner was very professional and tried to help the customer but she was out of control. Cigia's Tailors was professional and has been in business for years I always bring clothing to them and I am always satisfied with the work she is simply the best so the last two reviews don't believe a word from them ! Rude non speaking or understanding English. I was in a wheelchair & they looked at me like I was an alien! And spoke a language they certainly did not understand. I asked the lady to patch up some undergarments (brand new, tags still on) & she said because of the polyester she didn't have a machine that would work in that. YEAAAAAAAHHHH RRRRRRIGHT. Bottom line she didn't want to do it. I guess they don't want money cause I took to my local dry cleaner; they had a machine that worked on it just fine. Grand total $50 loss to these folks. Won't get into details now, but safe to say that staying away from this business would be our recommendation. The wife, who does the more intricate alterations, lies and shouts. She messes up and doesn't admit her mistakes. and her husband, Tony has to side with her, but he obviously knows she's wrong. Pity him. They have cost us unnecessary expenditure because they ruined my wedding gown and my fiancé's wedding suit. Result was we both had to buy new outfits and pay to have them altered by experienced workers elsewhere. . 1 wedding, 4 outfits! My fiance acted like a gentleman and asked Tony to reimburse him for 1 suit and 1 set of alterations. Tony agreed that if we gave him the damaged suit, and bills, he'd "see what he could do". When presented with the suit and bills he began to yell and scream at my fiance, and accused him of trying to make money off of him and his wife! I read reviews about this place and saw there are 2 good reviews and 2 bad reviews, so I took a chance and what a mistake that was. All the red flags were up once I walked in. The owner was angry, frustrated and annoyed at something which made him very unapproachable. The lady who does the alterations told me that she is a professional. To make a long story short I needed 2 pants to be hemmed which seemed pretty basic for a tailor. Not in this case. Both pants were done wrong. There is a lot more that goes into this such as I was then treated like I was bothering them with my complaint. I'm very surprised they're still open. Definately not professionals. read more
