This is the better mangolian type of restaurant within this state, definitely not like the other one that rhymes with bengis (that place is horrible) . This place can cater to both vegetarians and the meat eaters in your family. The price includes, your creation ( noodle stir fry or just a veggie stir fry ), white or brown rice, 2 types of soups ( both have meat in it though ), crispy noodles, a drink and frozen yogurt (dinner time only ). There is a choice between a kiddies (for ages up to 12 I think ), a small bowl, large bowl and an all you can eat bowl. I always pick the small bowl and fill it up like crazy. It costs about 11 bucks but can easily give me 2-3 meals out of it and its so worth the money, as long as you pay $.50 for the to go container. I always pack mine with lots of veggies, tofu and noodles. This place has a sauce suggestions and its pretty accurate and tasty but I always go for the spicy peanut thai sauce ! read more

When we got to the grilling station, it was extremely fast and our food was cooked in about a minute. The variety of sauces is great too. I also really liked the fact that we could get white or brown rice, soup, and frozen yogurt. Dinner prices are higher, and you get a drink, yogurt, rice, and soup included with your meal. Being from Arizona I can't believe I've never tried Y c's Mongolian grill. Upon entering I was greeted by friendly welcoming staff and a very clean environment. I was waited on by Laurel who was very knowledgeable about the menu and helpful in preparing my sauces. My wife and I went for a lunch date. The first time we've ever been here or to Mongolian barbecue. We had a hard time finding the place, because the ads/coupon had the wrong address and a map showing the wrong location. It's on the northwest corner of Ray and Power. We entered and were warmly greeted by Maria, who provided incredible service in welcoming us, introducing us to the process, and checking in on us throughout our meal. You get to pick what goes into your food at a bar stocked with meat, fresh vegetables, and noodles. You can create or get help in making your sauce however you want it. My wife went with mild orange flavored sauce, and I with sweet and spicy. We were both satisfied with food. They cook it to order. You can add soup and rice. They had indoor and outdoor seating. We ate at our pace and stayed and talked for a while very comfortably. We really enjoyed the experience. read more

I really like this place! They make eating your veggies fun and easy. Being veggie, I skip the meat section altogether (which has a good selection by the way) and pile on the cabbage, broccoli, mushrooms, tomatoes, and tofu - yum! Then, there are several types of noodles and a huge spread of sauces, oils, and spices to add as well. I think it's best to use a separate bowl for your sauce mixing and also make sure to grab a piece of wax paper to help smush your ginormous food pile down while you're loading to maximize space! A small bowl will run you about $10 and a large, $11 for lunch - prices jump up about $2 for dinner. Your meal also includes soups, wontons, rice, and a drink. I think they may also have an unlimited option - which scares me a little bit! :/ Pretty good deal considering I always leave stuffed after eating just the small-sized bowl! One after thought I had was that this place might be problematic for people who have food allergies (poultry, peanuts, shellfish, etc.), as all the food is prepared on one of two large grills - which they don't really clean between customers. I really wanted to love this place. This is the first time we decided to try Mongolian BBQ since moving to AZ almost two years ago. The place in Cali we went was amazing. This place however was not. Yum! You really can't go wrong at this place. You get a drink, soup, rice, and you get to build your own monster size bowl! I always get a large and pay the extra 50 cents for a doggy bag. I usually will get 3-4 meals out of mine (no I'm not joking). I'm a vegetarian so perhaps that is why, my bowl is full of noodles and veggie goodness! I usually make my own sauce, but there are plenty of examples written on the boards for you. Employees will also offer to help you make your sauce. I always go heavy on garlic, yc's own, and white wine. I've never had a bowl turn out bad! I add yummy brown rice to it and eat it along with those delicious fried noodles and addicting sweet and sour sauce. You seriously can't go wrong here! read more

My husband & child wanted to eat. I had already eaten, but wanted to sit with them. I had hawk eyes on me the WHOLE time because I didn't get a bowl. I got water from the fountain. When my husband was finished he wanted me to take a single bite to taste the mixture of sauces he put in. At that point 6 different people were at my table... "are you ok?" "Do you need a to-go box?" Haven't been to this location before but staff is friendly and service is very fast. Food was very good and of course we had leftovers. First time at YC's, had been to other Mongolian BBQ style places, none as "upscale" as this. Most of the Mongo places I've been are in the mall fast food court, or in a small strip mall. This place made us go WOW as to how big it was and all the food you get for about $11 a person for dinner. To go boxes are 50 cents, super reasonable considering you can really cram a lot of food into your bowl to get cooked. I was actually shocked that they suggested you pack the food into your bowl to get more space! Staff was friendly and even helped us out with mixing the sauces. This place is super close to our house and we will definitely be back frequently. read more

I wish I could give five stars, however, one of the best reasons why I came here to eat was because they had caffeine free DIET soda. I don't drink caffeine after noon and I could come here and fix my food that way I want too and also have a bubbly drink. I was shocked when they had no caffeine free diet soda. I asked and the management recently changed form Coke to Pepsi products and out went the caffeine free diet soda. So they do not have s price for dinner that doesn't include the drink. So I paid for something I didn't drink. Also no soda water. While I love making my own food and the fresh veggies and quantity you can make, I probably won't be back for lunch or dinner. This place was founded on health and healthy choices. So I say offer a wide variety of drinks for all and not just some. I was extremely disappointed on this visit read more

Love this location. Friendly service, clean and well-stocked. Must admit hubby had to talk me into coming, as we have had two negative experiences at other YC's locations. So glad I listened! Great variety of vegetables, meats and sauces. Only wish they had snap peas and water chestnuts. Front end and cooking service is always speedy. Rolling highchairs for small kiddos as you move through the "build your own bowl" line. A large bowl always gives me leftovers. Sometimes they will charge $.50 for a to-go box and others, not so much. Wish they would always have both sides of the Mongolian bar open, especially during busy hours.
