We stopped in for lunch at Yats on our way through town. They offer several veg options, which caught our eye. We were greeted at the counter by a friendly staff member, placed our order, and sat down to wait for our food to arrive. The interior of the restaurant is no frills, and there is a patio if weather permits outdoor dining. The music inside was pretty loud, but that may be because we arrived after the lunch rush when it was louder in general. I ordered the vegan white chili, which contains navy beans, onions, red peppers, tomatoes, and jalapeños. It was served over a bed of rice and with a piece of spiced and buttered baguette. I enjoyed the chili. It was mildly spicy with a good depth of flavor. I would have preferred to have the rice on the side. My partner ordered the vegetarian spinach and mushroom étouffée. It was creamy with almost a cheesy taste. It also was served over a bed of rice and with the buttered baguette. With the rice, portions are ample! We would come again if in the area.

Great food, very filling. Lesson learned not to get extra bread next time as that was too much food. I expected to get a notification when my order was ready but didn't get anything. Just decided to head to the restaurant anyway and it turned out my order was already ready for pick up.

Yats is my go-to place whenever I'm in Avon. I always get the chili cheese etoufee with crawfish. Sometimes I ask for double the bread it comes with. It's a big portion and you can always order a half portion if you're not too hungry. Service is great every time and the staff is always so nice.

I have had this place bookmarked for a few months and I was finally in the area to try it! I'm so happy I did I ordered the Chili Cheese Etouffée, it has just a very small kick of heat and it's gooood! I wish I had known the bread that comes with, would be so good or I would have gotten a side order of no e! Now this was too much to finish at one sitting but it still tastes good later (I don't mind room temp) but idk if that's healthy lol - oh well!

Yats definitely has their stuff together! They serves cajun creole dishes that are affordable and delicious. Everytime we dine-in or carryout the food is consistent, hot, delicious and arrives in the window incredibly fast plus the service rates a 5 star as well. The dining area is currently OPEN in Avon plus they offer "Pop the Trunk" Curbside Delivery or Carryout. Masks are required to enter the restaurant. You will order at the counter from the chalkboard menu behind the counter and pick up at the window next to the counter. You'll find a constantly rotating menu on the chalkboard for the 7 - 10 daily selections which include Vegetarian and Vegan options. I stopped in today to order a carryout of a classic New Orleans dish of Slow Cooked Red Beans and Smoked Sausage over Rice. My husband loves this dish and is one of his go-to meals topped with the Lightning sauce. Next to the drink dispenser are many sauces to top off your entree. We've sampled most and obviously all provide a different flavor so try several till you find your favorite. The cajun buttered baguette is amazing and comes with each dish but I highly recommend you order extra bread. You'll be glad you did! While you're at the counter pick-up one of the cookies. They are scrumptious! My favorite at Yats is the Chicken Maque Choux (pronounced Mock-Shoe) which is a sweet, creamy Etouffee with chicken and corn served over rice. I love this dish and I order often. The staff are super friendly and helpful answering menu and sauce questions. Most often my orders are sitting in the window before I finish putting my wallet back in my bag or getting my drink. Great spot for those with limited time. You can place order, pay and have food in less than 10 minutes, if that. If you enjoy Cajun or Creole food stop in.

The best place! Go there! We had never been there before and had no clue what they had. The woman at the front took the time to explain what stuff tasted like! Which helped me pick exactly what I wanted. Just the customer service alone made it phenomenal. Then we tried the food and oh my gosh, is it time to eat again yet?!? It was soooo dang good! So much better then I could of imagined. I had the chipotle chicken and my husband had 1/2 chipotle 1/2 drunken chicken. I'm literally still drooling. Then the yummy toasted garlic bread to dip with. I can't wait to go back. So thankful for small locally owned places like this and yummy savory food on a rainy day! Thank you to the staff. P.S. our intention was actually to go to a different restaurant in that strip mall but they were closed. So glad they were.

The food is great and not too expensive. The staff is courteous. Also, the bread and hot sauces make everything perfect.

It's familiar, family friendly and the broccoli cheddar casserole is like comfort food to me. The last time I was there I had an upset stomach after lunch but you never know for sure what the cause is unless you haven't eaten at all before hand. So we decided to give them another chance. Those honey butter croissants are quite enticing after all. Unfortunately, the Bourbon Glazed Salmon I usually order was undercooked and I couldn't eat it. I hate wasting food but I had to send it back. The service seems to get worse each time I've been there over the years. Not sure what is going on with the management but it seems to be lacking the leadership and skills required to run a successful restaurant. It makes me sad that I can't go back there anymore. I just won't risk getting sick and need more consistent service.

We sat on the patio, and although the shades were closed earlier in the day, they opened them later once the weather warmed up, which made the vibe even better. Our server was very nice and attentive, especially with our large group. We ordered a half mimosa tower, and I really enjoyed it. I also tried Rico's Coffee from the brunch menu, which was so good and paired perfectly with the brunch vibe. I ordered the French toast platter, which came with four pieces of French toast, scrambled eggs, brunch potatoes, and bacon. It was delicious and so filling that I had to get a to-go box. The yogurt parfait was also really good, and everyone at the table seemed to enjoy their food and drinks, including the Bloody Mary options and tea. We ordered liquid marijuana shots as a group and these were great. One thing to note: we brought a cake for our friend and didn't know there was a $25 outside cake fee, so be aware of that if you plan to bring your own dessert. After brunch, we walked around the beautiful grounds, and a few of us stayed longer on the patio. The high-top seating wasn't the most comfortable, but the drinks and appetizers made up for it. The whiskey sour was good, and we enjoyed the crab cakes, calamari, shrimp, and Rico's dip. This turned into an all-day affair with good food, drinks, beautiful weather, and great company. A really nice spot for brunch, celebrations, and patio time.

Day of, the staff called to confirm numbers and where we'd like to sit. Check in was easy, but our seating request hadn't been transferred over, no big deal thankfully. Our waitress was super friendly, and kept well organized. She automatically provided separate checks without even asking. I ordered the roll basket and bacon jam burger. The rolls were fine, but nothing special. The bacon jam burger was super delicious. Overflowing with bacon. My only complaint is I ordered it medium and it came out more medium well to well done. We all agreed we enjoyed our experience and would have to come back again.
