Maaaaaaan, it was so good I went two days in a row on some "I work too hard not to treat myself"…read moretype time. Here's the real: While this places price point is below the amount of food you get- everyone knows in today's climate, eating out isn't financially responsible on a whim. Ok; now to the food. Why haven't I tried this before now? I ultimately went because I attended a Yelp elite event around the corner at a coffee shop & I was starving for something savory yet not something that is already in my monthly rotation. I saw the larger than life sign as I drove down the street and pulled over. I checked their menu online first to see if they were open & what their price point was. All checked out. On the first day, I ordered the chicken curry meal for $14.95 plus I added two beef Pattie's & one curry shrimp pattie. I was blown away by the flavor in the curry chicken, the veggies were cooked perfectly & the flavor was on point. The rice & cabbage were also great (I wish I got a little more cabbage tho lol but that's just me being greedy) The second day - I brought my man. He ordered what I had on the first day and I ordered the jerk chicken + rice/beans & cabbage. WOWZERS! I noticed on the ordering site you can order whole jerk turkeys & chickens for special occasions as well as catering sized sides. I'm 100% plotting on my next visit. My tummy and tastebuds were so pleased! Thank you YASO!

Yaso is an absolute gem, and I'm a loyal customer! However, today I decided to switch it up and ordered the Red Snapper Filet prepared with Brown Stew, and it was equally fantastic! The fish filet was incredibly tender and flaky, and the brown stew sauce was rich, complex, savory, and had just the right balance of sweet and spice. It hugged the filet and the classic sides (rice and peas, and steamed cabbage) beautifully. It was truly a comforting, soul-satisfying meal. The service is consistently quick and friendly, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. Whether you are a fan of the Escovitch or the deep, savory flavor of Brown Stew, Yaso executes both perfectly. Highly recommend stopping by for authentic Jamaican cuisine!

It was hard for me to tell if this place was open or not. It was dim, empty and pretty slow. But I decided to give it a shot, and low and behold, they were open. They have very few parking spots in the front of the restaurant and a small dining area with a few hi-tops and chairs. Their menu is limited as well and offer some Caribbean themed/jerk chicken dishes including jerk jambalaya, jerk chicken egg rolls, jerk Phillly, Caribbean salad, and nachos. They also have daily specials to be on the look out for. They have a very limited selection of canned drinks. There were only 3 kinds to choose from during my visit (Diet Coke, Coke, and Sunkiss Orange. I went with the daily special and got the jerk wings, with a side of jerk jambalaya. I also got an egg roll because I just had to try it. It took about 10 minutes for me to get my food. I got my wings in Caribbean barbecue sauce, you have your choice of three sauces. That one was the middle heat sauce. It had just enough kick to it. The wings were good. Very flavorful and tasty. Some of them were luke warm at best through and could have been heated up a little more. I still really liked them though. The jambalaya is not your normal New Orleans jambalaya. It has a Caribbean flare to it. It is also tasty and has a bit of a kick to it, like most Caribbean food does. The egg roll was ok. It was huge and packed, but I did not think it tasted very special. It was just average to me. Maybe I had such high hopes, but it was definitely lacking the flavor of the other food that I ate. The guy that was working was friendly enough. He was not engaging, but would respond if you needed something or had a question. He just did his job. This is a decent Caribbean restaurant. It would not be my first option though. Either way, I really enjoyed my meal for the most part and would surly eat here again.

They were stuffed with meat, cabbage and the mango sauce was a unique twist on a traditional appetizer. If you're looking for food to go, I'd check this place out!
