Went to Yaso for lunch on a beautiful July day - quite the rarity in July in Indiana. The location…read morewas closed for indoor dining, but you could order and pick up your food from the drive thru and enjoy your meal in their nice outdoor seating area. By the time we left, they were open for business inside. There is A LOT to be said for a business opening under the circumstances that they can work under, so I really appreciated them being open and serving! I ordered the vegetable stew, a veggie pattie, and a jerk chicken kid's meal. You will get so much food even with the kid's meal. The chicken was cooked very well and tasted delicious. I ordered the spicy sauce, and while I think it could have been much hotter, I think most people would find it sufficiently spicy. I would 100% get the vegetable stew and the jerk chicken again, but would probably pass on the pattie. Nothing wrong with it, but the other dishes were just that much more amazing that I'd like to save room for them. Don't hesitate to give this location a chance. You won't regret it!

Maaaaaaan, it was so good I went two days in a row on some "I work too hard not to treat myself"…read moretype time. Here's the real: While this places price point is below the amount of food you get- everyone knows in today's climate, eating out isn't financially responsible on a whim. Ok; now to the food. Why haven't I tried this before now? I ultimately went because I attended a Yelp elite event around the corner at a coffee shop & I was starving for something savory yet not something that is already in my monthly rotation. I saw the larger than life sign as I drove down the street and pulled over. I checked their menu online first to see if they were open & what their price point was. All checked out. On the first day, I ordered the chicken curry meal for $14.95 plus I added two beef Pattie's & one curry shrimp pattie. I was blown away by the flavor in the curry chicken, the veggies were cooked perfectly & the flavor was on point. The rice & cabbage were also great (I wish I got a little more cabbage tho lol but that's just me being greedy) The second day - I brought my man. He ordered what I had on the first day and I ordered the jerk chicken + rice/beans & cabbage. WOWZERS! I noticed on the ordering site you can order whole jerk turkeys & chickens for special occasions as well as catering sized sides. I'm 100% plotting on my next visit. My tummy and tastebuds were so pleased! Thank you YASO!

It was hard for me to tell if this place was open or not. It was dim, empty and pretty slow. But I decided to give it a shot, and low and behold, they were open. They have very few parking spots in the front of the restaurant and a small dining area with a few hi-tops and chairs. Their menu is limited as well and offer some Caribbean themed/jerk chicken dishes including jerk jambalaya, jerk chicken egg rolls, jerk Phillly, Caribbean salad, and nachos. They also have daily specials to be on the look out for. They have a very limited selection of canned drinks. There were only 3 kinds to choose from during my visit (Diet Coke, Coke, and Sunkiss Orange. I went with the daily special and got the jerk wings, with a side of jerk jambalaya. I also got an egg roll because I just had to try it. It took about 10 minutes for me to get my food. I got my wings in Caribbean barbecue sauce, you have your choice of three sauces. That one was the middle heat sauce. It had just enough kick to it. The wings were good. Very flavorful and tasty. Some of them were luke warm at best through and could have been heated up a little more. I still really liked them though. The jambalaya is not your normal New Orleans jambalaya. It has a Caribbean flare to it. It is also tasty and has a bit of a kick to it, like most Caribbean food does. The egg roll was ok. It was huge and packed, but I did not think it tasted very special. It was just average to me. Maybe I had such high hopes, but it was definitely lacking the flavor of the other food that I ate. The guy that was working was friendly enough. He was not engaging, but would respond if you needed something or had a question. He just did his job. This is a decent Caribbean restaurant. It would not be my first option though. Either way, I really enjoyed my meal for the most part and would surly eat here again.

They were stuffed with meat, cabbage and the mango sauce was a unique twist on a traditional appetizer. If you're looking for food to go, I'd check this place out!
