I didn't have an opportunity to eat there because I arrived later to the event I attended however I had a very delicious sangria, down side is that by the time it arrived, over an hour later I was ready to leave. It does not make me happy to post this review. The food was delicious, but the unethical practice we were subject to today ruined the whole meal. We had a large party, we expect tip to be added to a large party gathering. However, I expect that tip to be displayed on the bill. We paid via the ziosk and each check showed: Subtotal, tax, total. My subtotal seemed wrong and so I checked the math and sure enough, my subtotal was 20% more than what it should have been. Nowhere on the screen did it indicate tip had been added. I was not the first to pay and the others had not noticed the discrepancy and paid the bill PLUS a tip. We had to request refunds of those who originally paid. The manager blamed the "ziosk" interface, and seemed completely nonplussed by this clearly unethical behavior on their part to dupe people out of their money. read more

Where do I begin? Yard House is one of my favorite local spots to attend. Ranging from the food, the drinks, and the service. I highly recommend checking them out! Every time I have gone they have always been a little busy so I recommend making a reservation unless you don't mind waiting a few minutes. My favorite things off the menu is the BBQ chicken salad, the chicken nachos, the cheese/spinach dip, and the brookie. With the salad I recommend getting the smaller size since they give great proportions. Every dish I've tried so far has been really good! Lesley is my favorite waitress due to her being so welcoming and overall just extremely friendly. Make sure to try and check them out the next time your in Springfield! :) read more

I live in the area and I've been going to Yard House for years. I've hosted birthdays gone to countless happy hours and I've always had an amazing experience there. Until last night, I came in with my with my boyfriend and a server by the name of Shelly introduced herself as our server. Shelly was incredibly rude, she would walk away mid sentence, her mannerisms were as if we were inconveniencing her and my final straw was when she brought the receipt at the end of our meal and she threw it on our table and walked away. She never brought a to go box that my boyfriend kindly asked for. Yardhouse itself as an establishment is amazing, the burgers we had were awesome and the drinks were good! So I know this one server is not a reflection of their business. But I hope this is an issue that can be addressed. It was just a disheartening experience overall. I'm not even one to write reviews. I still will continue to go to Yardhouse and enjoy their delicious meals. read more

Waited about 15 minutes for an outside table on a Friday night. Not too bad considering. Server was super friendly, and offered great recommendations for beer & food. I tried a German pilsner that was delicious! For dinner, I tried the halibut which was incredibly tasty and almost creamy. My dinner companion opted for the mac and cheese and had no complaints. The menu is extensive at this place, and there are tons of things I want to try on future visits. I'm glad this visit was positive. Food was fantastic and the service couldn't be beat. I love coming Yard House. It's really a great atmosphere, and that's big for me. They have fantastic happy hour specials, along with good lunch specials, but I've only been there a couple of times for lunch, so I can't comment too much on that. I primarily go for dinner and/or late night drinks, etc. The place gets pretty busy most nights of the week, particularly when there are football games on even though it's not a sports bar really. There are a LOT of TVs with various watching options. On football Sundays, you can go in and they'll ask what team you want to watch and do their best to seat you near a TV showing that game (they have a little guide next to the host stand as which games are being shown on which TVs). Friday nights and Saturday nights get super busy, so you can expect a very long wait. The bar fills up very quickly, too, almost every night. Basically if you don't get there before 6 or 7 on a Friday or before 4 or 5 on a Saturday, you can probably expect to be waiting for a while. However, I take the fact that they're always crowded as a good thing, and it's definitely worth the wait. I can't stop raving about the food. I absolutely love the lamb burger, it's my absolute go-to most times that I come here. You also can't go wrong with the onion tower as an appetizer. I just recently tried their Poke Bowl for the first time, and it certainly did not disappoint. However, the big reason to come here is their beers. Yard House is known for their amazing beer selection, and oy do they have a selection. If you're a beer drinker, this is the spot to go. I like their mixed drinks fine enough, but the beers are definitely the go-to here. The bartenders are super attentive, and I've never had to wait too long when sitting at the bar. The servers and hosts here are great. I've always been greeted with a smile and a pleasant demeanor, even when it's busy. Service can sometimes be a little bit slow, especially when it's crowded. But I always see servers coming around, so worst comes to worst, you can ask one of the servers if they could find yours if you don't see them. But I've never had much of an issue with service here. This happens to be a spot that I largely prefer to sit at the bar, but I sit at the hi-tops when the bar isn't open, and sometimes at a table if here with family, etc., but I've honestly never had a bad experience with service. Last note, it can definitely be on the somewhat pricier side, especially if you're drinking and eating, but that's to be expected with this chain and in the DC area. So it really shouldn't be too much of a surprise to anyone when you get that check after you've had like three or four drinks plus food and it's not happy hour. But like I said, the quality is worth the price, in my opinion. And as I mentioned earlier, the atmosphere is great! The folks that come here are always entertaining and fun to chat with if you're a social person. Definitely give this place a try if you're in the Springfield area. Totally worth it. read more

The two stars are for the food. The food was great. The atmosphere is busy noisy bar scene, which we expected, but it was so loud we couldn't even hear one another across the table. Because we were the first to arrive, the hostess sent us to a table where the 'leader' told us we could not sit. There seemed to be a great deal of confusion about the seating process, and as it turned out our party was already there so we were reseated with them. Yard House is a popping hot spot nestled into the Springfield Towne Center. I went on a Friday night around 7pm for a beer and a snack. It was popping severely. Hordes of people waiting for a table, an hour and a half long wait. Luckily, being in the mall, we set a timer on our phones and went shopping for a bit. We checked back in around 40 minutes. Our table still wasn't ready but we were able to snag a seat by the bar. Score! I'm a beer girl, 100%. Please, do yourselves a favor and bring your Beer Snob friends here. An amazing beer selection all around, everything from fruity, to hoppy, to malty, to heavy stouts. I absolutely love Irish Red Ales, but they're very hard to find in this area. I was pleasantly surprised to find Smithwick's Irish Red on tap. At that moment, I thought "please, just take all my money". Automatic five stars for me. Besides that, the place is pretty neat. Sort of an upscale casual environment, kind of like the place you would go with your coworkers after work. The food was delicious. The pizza I ordered had a very thin crust, which doesn't make you feel entirely guilty. We also ordered the calamari. I was expecting a small plate but I was surprised to see a giant pile full of calamari. Restaurants usually are pretty stingy, but they definitely weren't. Be careful though; they deep fry lemons with it to allow the lemon juice to cook into the calamari, but they didn't remove it from the dish. If you're not careful, you might bite into a deep fried lemon. (PSA: it might sound adventurous, but for the love of your taste buds, don't eat the lemon.) All in all, this was a great place. We haven't been in since pre pandemic. We decided to come in this afternoon. This location is packed always. We get on the wait list for 15-25 minutes. When we arrived there was a short wait. We had Anna and Rudy (in training) servers. I totally messed up the in house review and am leaving it here. The drinks came out kinda slow. No complaints as they are packed. We ordered fish and chips, the stacked turkey club entree. Apps were the firecracker shrimp and calamari. Mine was great. Hubby's fish was not drained properly. Anna & Rudy promptly corrected the issue. Overall everything was great. Great friendly service. Will be back soon. read more

Went there for a friends birthday, it was pretty busy so the service was slow but that's to be expected. We had made a reservation ahead of time so you'd like they would've had a table ready for us but we waited an hour to be seated at 2 different tables so our party wasn't even together. Came in here on a Friday night for apps and drinks and was pleasantly surprised. The space is huge and great for larger parties. I ordered the Spicy Tuna Roll...now full disclosure: this is more of a sushi pie, and it really should be shared with at least one other person, if not three. The "roll" is very dense and heavy, so good luck going solo on this thing. While it was good, I probably would not order again given its size, as it's just a bit much (again, especially for one person). I also tried the cherry limeade (with vodka), and this was a delicious cocktail. I would definitely order this again. All in all, a good place to hang out with friends. This is the first time I comment here on yelp. We were a party of 10 adults. The inside of the restaurant was warmer than the outside and it was 86 when I got there outside. Our drinks took over 25 minutes to come and they weren't strong. When we said something to the server all she could say was I could bring you an additional shot. The wings order were delicious. It did take us quite a long time to have the server come back to us to give us our to go boxes and then it took longer to check out. I didn't think that the service and the drinks would be as bad as they were from a place. I've heard really good things. read more

I absolutely LOVE the food here!! I've been twice now and have not been disappointed. The staff is super friendly and I really enjoy the atmosphere. I definitely recommend the poke nachos and the lobster garlic noodles! The mini trio sampler is also awesome! The one huge downfall is the crowd on Friday/Saturday nights for dinner. I've waited an hour and a half, just to be seated RIGHT next to the door where people were standing like 2 feet from our table, waiting to be seated. It was just super awkward and people were getting annoyed that the empty tables weren't being filled very quickly. I would definitely recommend going to this place, but be wary of what day you go. read more

I absolutely love yard house, but it's ALWAYS hit or miss. When the service is good (which isn't often) its a great experience. I used to be a server so I really try to be patient with them because I know how exhausting the job can be. Our last visit we were forced to eat nachos and the giant pretzel without app plates after asking for them multiple times. We also had to ask around for our server for drink refills When the food is done right it's great (sadly more infrequently than I'd like to admit). I love yard house for the Black Truffle Burger and Truffle Fries. Like I said when it's done right it's great! Sadly the last time I was here it came out rare when I asked for it Medium well and my aunt burger came out rare when she asked for it well done. Furthermore, the price of the food is hardly justifiable when you experience so many issues with it. Like I said I do enjoy the food when it's done right but it's getting hard to convince myself and family to pick this place when the service or food is never the quality you expect for the price. read more

I've never wanted to write a review about a place I didn't actually eat at but I will today. This review is about the hostess stand and lack of professionalism. Friday night 12/4 around 8pm I called head I knew they didn't take reservations but I wanted to know what the expectation was for walkins and actually being able to get a seat. Told to come in and for me and my guest there shouldn't be a problem getting seated. We show up just after 8pm. Put our names down (my guest did this while I was parking) come to find out the 2 girls at the host stand where rude to her and had bad attitudes. About 30 minutes passes and we go back just to see if the time had changed at all and if we had time to sit somewhere nearby for a drink. The 2nd interaction was bad too! The host literally started the sentence with "Well as I told you before..."In a rude and unprofessional tone. Then when we asked if we could sit at the bar, the reply was haphazardly offered that we could order a drink and wait outside with it. Ugh a tacky response. This place is NOT Gaithersburg. They know what they're doing. Springfield needs to tighten up. The hostess stand should not be a point of contention or aggression. If I have a question, answer it politely and courteously. We're the patrons and you're working! Why is this so hard to understand. Needless to say we took our business elsewhere and I will not bother trying that yard house location again. read more

I sat at the bar to wait for a table and to also wait for my friend who was running late. I ordered a midnight sangria (basically Pinot Noir & Hennessy) as well as guac & chips. The drink was cool and so was the guac... but the chips?? It was like playing Russian roulette because I didn't know what to expect with each chip. They give you both regular corn tortilla chips as well as blue corn chips. I took a bite of the regular chip. Salttyyy af. I took a bite of the blue chip. Staleee af. I took another bite of the regular corn chip and it was fine. Took a bite of another blue chip and it was bland. I was like.. whattt?? lol what kind of fresh/stale salty/bland batch of chips is this?? lol When I finally got a table, I ordered another midnight sangria and a shot of Hennessy since I didn't really taste any of it in the first drink. This mix was better then the first... especially after I added the extra shot. I still didn't taste the Hennessy though which means the wine does a great (and potentially dangerous) job of concealing the liquor. Friend finally comes and we order our food. He ordered a steak salad and I had tacos (Korean short rib and Asada) with rice and beans. It took forever for our food to come. By the time it came out, my meal was lukewarm like it'd been sitting out for a little bit. The first couple bites of the Korean taco was a little dry but it got better towards the end when I could taste the sauce with the fixings. The asada taco was delish. Rice and okay and the beans were good. My friend's steak salad looked good though I didn't get to taste any lol Overall, my experience was okay. I think I'd go back to try it again just to see if things aren't any better. I want this experience to be a fluke lol so I'll try it again eventually. read more

I've been to Yard House quite a few times now and it's always busy around dinner time. The most recent time I went there on a Friday wasn't any different. My friend got there about 10 min earlier so he put our names down for a table at what point it was about a 45 min wait and with plenty other people standing around with beepers. I was way too hungry to wait 45 min, so once I got there I walked around their huge bar and was able to snag us 2 seats. I'm not exactly sure why the wait was so long when there were PLENTY of empty tables available. But since we could order food items at the bar as well, I was happy :) We started off with Calamari and Sweet Potato Fries as appetizers. My friend is a huge calamari fan and he was pleased, while I enjoyed the fries. Nothing special though. For our entrees, I ordered the Chicken Enchilada Stack and my friend got the Grilled Ribeye. Unfortunately, my friend's ribeye was just alright. My enchilada stack looked sloppy and the tomatillo and red chili sauces weren't even spicy. Since the food wasn't all that, we had room for dessert and decided to go for their Dessert Trio (dark chocolate - very rich, creme brulee - pretty good, peach apple cobbler - tasty). The most satisfying part of the evening and reason why I would go back to Yard House were the drinks. I'm not usually a Martini girl, but that evening I had 2 martinis and really enjoyed them both. I had a Black Orchid (svedka raspberry vodka, dekuyper blue curacao & watermelon pucker) and Miami Ice (stoli peachik vodka, cruzan pineapple rum, dekuyper peachtree & island punch, citrus agave). Both drinks were sweet enough (not overpowering) and had just the right amount of alcohol. They also offer quite a variety of beers. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. read more

I just called to try to make a carry out order and I was requested to wait a total of three times. I waited for 5 minutes each time. Every time someone picked up the phone, I would only able to state that Im trying to make a carryout order. After that they would just say can I put you on hold. I would have preferred that they just be honest and say they are busy and can't take any carryout via phone at this time. He kept walking off when we were asking questions about the menu, talked us into this horrid excuse of a meal. When it came out it looked nothing like the description! Had to get Arthur F to our tab because everytime we waved to Casy/Corey he would look at us and WALK OFF! He didn't know the beers on tap or even the specials. Awful experience, I ordered a sandwich that contained a plastic bag, the second portion of my sandwich contains a plastic bag labeled and everything, how this was overlooked when preparing my sandwich baffles me. The managers were less than interested in making it right. I had to ask for the GM and he let me know he was about to leave... the most I was offered was comping my meal and a $10 gift card, I was only offered a $25 gift card after complaining. I'm actually at yard house right now. We have a big party of 12 (called ahead) for reservations at 430. It's 530 and our food didn't come out. Every time I came here our service was pretty lackluster and always waited a very long time (40 minutes+). Our waiter really never came around at all until he switched with some other guy and he was 10x better. The first waiter told me that they ran out of my order after 20 minutes after we ordered. So that adds on another wait to the already long wait so I went to auntie Anne's to get me some pretzel. 5/5 for auntie Anne's. Oh another update, the first waiter forgot one of our orders completely too (salad and nachos). I only gave more than one star because I actually like some of the food but DO NOT come here if ur really hungry. The wait is always so long and they let the food sit out for a long time before bringing it to the table. Shout out to Jerry who salvaged this meal with his kindness and quickness. Okay another update (5:50) my food still isn't out and I was told that they burned my pizza and they have to make another one. It's an hour and a half and I still don't have my food or even my side salad. My friend ordered take out because she came late and her food was ready in 10 minutes. At first I thought it was funny but now I'm pissed. Sad because I actually liked coming here. Not anymore. One of the better food options in Springfield. They have good happy hour and lunch specials but good luck getting in without a wait. This place is always crowded. I also like that they have so many beer choices and the beer tubes leading to the bar look cool. They list the calories on the menu which is both good and bad. A decent amount of salad options and they have a whole vegetarian section on the menu. I personally go for the sliders, nachos, or tuna appetizer. read more
