First time at Revolution, was looking for something to do with friends in the area and decided it would be a fun idea to play pool! We didn't have to wait for a table, there's lots of tables but they do get occupied fast! best time to come would be around 8-9pm. We ordered the Chicken tenders & Fries with Honey mustard & for dessert we got the Ultimate Brownie Sundae ! i was pleasantly surprised the food was so good & at an affordable price! The drinks on the other hand are very expensive !! The bar gets very busy so i had to wait a very long time to be able to get a drink! but besides that, if you want a chill hangout spot to watch a football game this is a very good idea ! read more

I really wanted to leave a great review of this spot as it was perfect in so many ways, but there was one issue that was a deal breaker. I'm an avid player and sought out this place a new destination to play. Arrived at opening time on a Wednesday and got a table and a menu intending to stay all day and have both lunch and dinner there. 1. Bartender was a true pleasure, she was friendly, attentive throughout the day and provided excellent service. 2. Food was great, I got the burger and fries and both were delivered quickly by the bartender with napkins and silverware and condiments. Again great service and the food was fresh, hot and tasted great. 3. Atmosphere was nice as well. The music wasn't overwhelming, it was set up well for billiards and the bathrooms were clean. 4. Pool Tables, Diamond 9' Blue Labels which are great and whoever their table mechanic is does a great job in their table setup. Although the cloth is clearly well worn and crying for replacement, the tables played well and rails are set up right by their table mechanic. So reading all the above and my glowing review of the items listed, why a 2 star rating? The temperature, that's why. The place wasn't crowded early in the day but the place is stiflingly hot. If there is Air Conditioning it is in sore need of repair or replacement. I went to inquire with the bartender, who at that point was standing behind the Bar with a little hand held battery fan and asked her why it was so unbearably hot. She said she gets complaints ALL THE TIME about it and that she had recently gone on vacation and hoped it would "be fixed" when she got back but it wasn't. It was literally 85-90 degrees in there. They have a dozen ceiling fans but they're all turning in the wrong direction pulling air up instead of blowing any cool air down. To add insult to injury, the beer delivery guy arrived and propped open a back door with a keg 25 feet away from my table to get his delivery in, it took him over 30 minutes to get the entire order in with the door propped open the entire time making an already bad situation worse making it even hotter and more humid. After 4 1/2 hours I had soaked and thrown away a hand towel I carry in my cue case and my shirt was soaking wet and I gave up the ghost and left. There's no real reason for this. This is clearly a Leased Space in a strip mall so all the owner needs to do is contact the landlord and have the landlord correct the problem by fixing or replacing the AC unit, but it's not being done given the comments made by the bartender on the constant complaints on the temperature in there. Not to mention they could just go up on the base of the ceiling fans and flip the toggle switch to change the directions of the blades so they would blow air down providing some kind of cooling effect instead of pulling air up. I really liked this place in all aspects except the temperature, which in the end is a deal breaker. I may return in the winter or fall but it's not tolerable now in the summer. The saddest part is the issue is correctable and nothings being done about it. read more

I really wanted to like this place. Plenty of pool tables, dart boards, and beer selection, but not enough or inattentive wait staff ruined it. There are a couple of tables in a smoke-free room, which is nice. Smoking isn't allowed inside back home. Those were full, but there were a couple of open tables in the main area. I ask the bartender for a table and a beer. He points me to the other end of the bar to check out the balls. OK, fine, no issues. I go over there, and the woman checking out the balls was nice enough (the one bright spot here). I asked for a beer as well, and another waitress standing by the bar said a waitress would come by my table. Alright, I just want to play some pool and drink beer, but whatever. I go set up my table and find a pool stick, and start hitting some balls around. There's a waitress at a table by the darts. I see her go to the bar and then go back to that same table again. OK, she's got to be coming over soon, or so I think. I spot her a while later serving a different table, and then she's back at the first one again. She doesn't seem to deviate from these three spots. I wasn't sure if she was supposed to be the waitress for my area or not, so I kept playing pool. After five racks, I had enough. I paid for the table and left. Had there been any service at all, I would have bought at least a couple of beers and stayed for a couple of hours. I guess they didn't want my money. read more

I've been here twice. The first time was a very pleasant, chill experience. Bartender was perfect, and even had a patron I've never met give me a 5 min ride back home. The next night, I head over there. It's a Thursday and it is packed. I walk up to the bar, ask for a drink - get asked for my ID - I pull out my phone and show the woman a picture of my ID (Lost my physical copy) She's wearing one of those really rude attitudes already, and tells me I need an "actual, tangible ID." Heavy emphasis on each syllable of her sentence... Sure, that's the law, technically.... But what rubbed me the wrong way was, not how she turned me away for no other reason than to be a B*** just cuz, But, The bartender serving me the night before, sees me standing there, disappointed n all, and he asks "uh.. can I help you?" I said "uhh... Maybe," I thought he was going to let me slide since he didn't card Me the night before, and wasn't an ass. Instead he tells me "No, uh ..what are you still doing here? If you don't have an ID you can't be in here..." "Shiiiit, I'll leave then..." Meh, they were just doing their jobs, but it didn't have to go down like that, or at all. OTHER THAN THAT... Plenty of pool tables and dart boards, young(ish) crowd, electronic slots, decent crowds even during the weekdays. Good place to kick it at night. read more

Non smoker, but hang in the smoking section getting cancer from the second hand smoke. Bartenders are always on point and just extremely attentive to all customers. It's hard to find good customer service nowadays in a low key dive bar, but this place in Springfield has the mix. Honey hot wings extra crispy will change your life. Best wings I've had and I lived in Buffalo. They have darts, pool, and a few arcade type games. There's also TVs all around the place. Revolution is the place to go for darts or pool around Alexandria. They have like ten dartboards and a bunch of pool tables. They make good fries and the beer selection isn't bad. The servers were really attentive. They do allow smoking. read more

First time I was there they charged me incorrectly for drinks and I bought a pitcher of Margarita, they claim they put for 4 shot of Tequila in it but in fact it felt like we were drinking flavored water. Very nice pool hall with decent cues and tables. Service was very good too and the finger foods we tried (loaded fries, potato skins, and chicken fingers) were all decent. All that being said - I won't be back for one reason: overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke I'm sorry but while there might be a separate "non-smoking" room in the back - that's pretty unacceptable when you have to carve your way through the stretch just to get in the door to the place, go to the bar, just about anything else. In this day and age - smoking should be in the separate room so that other patrons can breathe just coming through your front door. Came home reeking of cigarettes so badly I immediately had to wash what I was wearing and take a shower. read more

Cool place to get your fix of pool and darts. While I still prefer The Cue Club, this joint is cool too. The wait staff are friendly and efficient and the food is pretty good. However, they do allow smoking inside and I find that really obnoxious. The clientele is a mix of hipsters and hep cats and I haven't encountered any a-holes as of yet. Since I'm far better at darts than billiards, I'd like to join a dart league at this place. read more

Decent pool hall with decent cues and tables. Service was friendly. Typical billiards menu fare which was nice. Poor rating is because its a smoking hall first and it shows. There's a two table room but you have to walk all the way through the hall to the bar to get pool balls. You leave reeking of smoke regardless. If you flipped the smoking and non-smoking sides you'd attract a lot more customers. I won't be back. read more

Huge thank you to the revolution Darts and Bullard- Springfield who provided exceptional service in planning my husband's birthday party . The manager, Adam, was on standby all night to make sure everything went smoothly and assisted us in any way possible. Our waiter, NaTasha, was a sweet girl who had her hands full with servicing all of our guest with their drink service. She maintained professional and attentive to everyone's needs and honestly without her I know the evening would have ended in any other way but pleasant. Again, I cannot thank those two enough. My husband had a stroke and likes to go to Revolution several times a week to play video games and video poker. The staff knows him and will save him a place at the bar and a box to play games. I'm a vegetarian and he's not so he always has dinner there, 1/2 price burgers on Monday, pizza and chicken strips. The pizza is really good and made to order. Prices are affordable and service is attentive. It's a local place where he has friends to visit with and the doorman holds the door for him and helps him to the car when I pick him up. Yeah it's smokey but that is the clientele. We always feel like valued customers and I know they will take good care of my husband and give me a break from care taking which I desperately need. They can call the place Revolution but it will always be Fast Eddies to me. I highly recommend it. read more

If I was able give ZERO STARS, I would. I'd NEVER COME BACK. We got there and they asked for a card to place on file. We gave one and it read as decline. We asked to swipe again and the waitress apologized and said their new readers aren't working. We asked if we can put cash down she said yes. We ordered a few beers then within 10 minutes a manger came in with a smug attitude saying we had to leave a card on file. We explained we tried and the waitress told us the readers weren't working. Mind you we were the only people of color there. He asked for a " CARD WITH ACTUAL MONEY ON IT". So we gave him two more cards to try. And he said they were all declined. We were annoyed on how we were being singled out and treated so poorly, that we decided to pay for our beers and leave. And MAGICALLY OUR CARDS WORKED FOR THAT! Which implies that they wanted us out and made up BS about our cards not working. read more

As the 1st reviewer reported, the signage out front still says Fast Eddie's. Can report first hand that the burger, fries, and skirt steak mini tacos are all excellent! 1/2 price for the tacos on tuesday. Other specials throughout the week. Our waiter, Adam was perfect, even though it was only his 2nd day on the job. There are leagues for both billiards and darts for those interested. Would have given it 5 stars but in the enclosed non-smoking section there is still an odor of cigarettes. read more

Tried this place for the first time after my friends had been going here for awhile. I'm a non-smoker and they have an enclosed room with three tables for us. I couldn't smell smoke. The room even has an entrance right off the entering foyer so you don't have to go into the smoking section at all. Tables are decent and the staff is great. Wouldn't recommend the wings (I'm a wing snob), but the sliders were delicious. They have homemade chips you can get instead of the fries (chips are yummy). read more

The former Fast Eddies in Springfield is a smoky pool joint and the equipment hasn't changed at all. That is to say, the felt is a bit worn out, old sticks and just a few non-smoking tables so for those of us trying not to kill ourselves with cigarettes, it kind of sucks. The food however wasn't bad. I had the fish and chips and it was a very flaky beer battered filet. The "chips" however were not crispy and largely stuck together. Hopefully next time I can get a table in the non-smoking section and try some other food. My friend did say that the pizza was pretty good too. read more

Under new management since April 2015 but essentially the same place. Fewer tabled but a longer bar than Hard Times. Nicer pool tables plus several non-smoking tables in a separate fishbowl room. Maybe slightly less smokey than Hard Times but a less diversified clientele as well. (wink) I hate smoking places but stopped in to try out 40 cents wings on Wednesday. The wings were pretty good/average but you can't beat the price. 12 fairly typical mass distribution beers on tap. Nothing local to DC/NoVa. Fewer taps than Hard Times. This is my favorite place to go after work. Every time I step in the doors I am always welcomed. The food is pretty damn good. The service is fantastic. Even when the restaurant is busy as crap I still am being checked up on constantly. My girlfriend and I have a favorite waitress (Sharon) who is an absolute sweetheart. Not only is the staff incredibly hospitable, if you find yourself mingling with the regulars, they're pretty cool too. Great place to hang out. If you're complaining about the smoke and noise, I don't know what you expect. It's a darts and billiards place, so get out! read more

Decent pool hall. Nice tables and a fair number of them. Came for pool with my pre-teen kids and the separate non-smoking pool room was a great feature. Apparently, this joint used to be Fast Eddie's because they haven't changed the sign outside. Rolled in Saturday morning around 11am because I promised the boy a round of pool and this joint was the only place open that early. There's a Fast Eddies near me off Route 1, but that place is a dump. Had a hell of a time finding this place because it's located BEHIND the shopping center. They've got about a dozen tables in the main hall, a LONG bar, and an internet juke box. Unlike most halls where it's nonsmoking except for a tiny glassed-in ghetto in the back where the keep the chainsmoking, this place is the reverse. The dozen tables in the main area are smoking, the fishbowl on the side with two tables is nonsmoking. No problem since we got there early, but if you're looking for a nonsmoking table on a Saturday night, you'll probably have to wait. Flagged the server down and got a table and ordered a pitcher and some food. I was expecting the usual bowling alley frozen slop, but the food was better than expected. Medium rare burger, decent pizza, nice crispy fries made by someone who knows what the hell they're doing. The real treat are the hand-cut, fresh fried potato chips. The fishbowl also has four dart boards if that's how you roll, as well as your own private smoke free crapper. We played a couple rounds of slop and another couple showed up with cellphones that were texting off the goddamn hook, so we got the hell out of there. All in all a better than average pool hall experience with edible food and pitchers. I'll be back. read more

It has been a long time since the wife and I have visited Fast Eddie's, now Revolution. The place was the same with only minor renovations since new ownership(front sign still says Fast Eddie's and was not lit), which to me was not a bad thing, I would have liked to have seen some upgrades to the felt on the tables and details of the bar. It is one of the very few places left that the guests can smoke in, sorry to the non smokers but there is a room for those who are offended by smoke. A lot of similar faces which was great to see. The menu really needed some upgrades as well as bumping up some prices so a profit can be made for new ownership. Highlight of the evening was the service! Michele, our waitress, was outstanding, so friendly, so genuine, very knowledgeable and made us feel like regulars once again. Catherine, the bartender, was on point as well. There are bigger, more updated and newer billiard establishments but what sets Revolution apart from the others was the make you feel special service that they provided. We will be back! read more
