My favorite happy hour spot. Let me tell you why. 1. Convenience: Food can be ordered through a device that contains photos of the menu item. Additionally, if you're going with a large group of friends, splitting the bill divisibly or by item is super easy. Service can be requested upon pushing an alert button so you can relax+chat with your friends until your server comes. 2. Price, Quality, and Quantity: the happy hour special is super generous with a good amount of options. I believe it's half off for all the specified foods and a marginal discount on drinks. 2a: Poke Nachos are my favorite. You have to try them during the happy hour. The only con: happy hour ends at 6pm which is unfortunate for people who are trying to get there from work and traffic. I love this place though. read more

I come to yard house pretty often, it's probably the only place I've enjoyed beer. Having that been said, I've found a select few food items I've loved others were just okay. Love the poké nachos, I never thought I'd like the concept of raw fish on a nacho but wow is this just spicy dreamy deliciousness! The ahi tuna salad is delicious as well, they really get the ratio of crunch to salad and flavors just right. The tuna is seared perfectly!! Their wings are pretty spectacular. Deviled eggs are a MUST. Make sure you get the sweet potato fries!! I did not love the fried Mac and cheese. Not sure if it's the size of the portion, which is pretty large in itself, or the way it's presented, or the sauce that didn't set it up right to me. I did not like the vampire quesadilla concept at all, which seems to be an unpopular opinion. I just felt like they had burned the cheese on the grill and stuck it on the outside of the tortilla!! The Wisconsin curds and the spinach dip were not my favorites, the meat pizza was alright! If you're a big app lover try make their happy hour! This place is more like 3.5 stars not 4. Went for the first time and was definitely nothing spectacular. First thing we had was the traditional wings, had half lemon pepper half Buffalo. The crunch on them was perfect but the lemon pepper flavor was very very mild ( I love that flavor so I felt it was very lacking). Buffalo was typical. I ordered a pizza for my daughter and for a kids pizza it was pretty good. Nice and cheesy. My son got a burger, he didn't say much and he ate it all so I guess it was good. He didn't complain he was still hungry after which often happens. My friend ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. When they brought it out it looked burnt but he said it had a nice crunch and was hot and juicy inside. I ordered the crab cake sandwich for myself, again nothing great. It was pretty mushy ( for lack of better words). First bite and it was falling apart. Taste was mehhh but this isn't a seafood restaurant so I guess that it kid of expected. I also had a dragon fruit lemonade, waitress said it was very sweet, i beg to differ. Lol Also had a mixed drink, I believe it was called pineapple passion or something like that, waitress also told me this was sweet ( I also beg to differ). Again not great I didn't get that much pineappleyness but the drink was loaded with mint so like every sip the mint was trying to come up. I'm a bit of a light weight when it comes to drinks and this didn't do anything to me. Ohh and also I ordered truffle fries, now to be honest idk what I was ordering lol butttt I didn't like it. Yard House in Alexandria, VA is a constant "go to" for me. You can go here on a date, with friends, family, coworkers, whoever! For those that are either over or "above" places like Friday's, Applebees and the like, Yard House is where you should be. I've been going for over 5 years and cannot recall a time when my food or drinks were bad. Okay Yelp. You win. I did not want to do a review of this restaurant because of its chain-like atmosphere, and well, it is a chain. And I do not do chains (because in my opinion, a chain restaurant is less likely to hear people out compared to Mom-and-Pop stores). Not to mention the only other location of Yard House in Virginia is in Virginia Beach. If anything, Yard House is simply an upscale sports bar. It is chique, and expensive. Very expensive. Like $5 to $6 for a taco expensive. I only went here because I got an offer from my bank, otherwise I would continue to pass this restaurant by. Before coming here though I did some research on the menu to see what was popular here. Looking at photos and the menu, I knew I was going to get tacos (yes, I was aware of the prices). I got myself a side Cesar salad, and three tacos (Vampire (which is supposed to be delicious), shrimp, and fish). The side salad is okay. Nothing too special. It was what I expected for a Cesar salad. As for the tacos, yes, they were pretty good! Especially the Vampire taco. I enjoyed this one a bit too much. Everything worked well on it, and was rather easy to eat. Unlike Taco Bamba, which charges less but gives you more, Yard House tacos were skimpy. I counted three pieces of shrimp on the shrimp taco, and one piece of fish on the fish taco. Womp Womp. I guess I was happy with the quality of the food. The tacos were pretty good, but the side rice it comes with was quite spicy (and had an Asian fusion taste to it). The side beans were just okay as well. Yard House is my fiance's and I go to date night! Almost every item on the menu we have ordered has been phenomenal. The only thing we did not really care for was the Jumbo Bavarian Pretzel. We felt it was a little too salty and the dipping cheese was subpar. My favorite entree is the Pepper Jack Burger with parmesean fries! The service has been always been great! As a heads up, it is almost always packed on the weekends and loud. The inside of the restaurant is normally pretty dim lit. Pokè Nachos: I have a condition that requires me to try Pokè wherever I go. These were pretty good, however the peppers were way tooo spicy. I was tearing. My nose was running. Water wouldn't quench the fire in my mouth. Please ask for no peppers if you're not prepared for this. Lobster & Shrimp Agnolotti: The lobster was tough, chewy and tasted artificial Seemed like a Costco frozen meal. Kale Caesar: house salad with maybe 3 pieces of kale on top. This place is more on the expensive side and it wasn't worth the cost. The interior of the Yard House is extremely dark and at times, I even had to pull up my phone to see. I understand they are going for a late night vibe, but it was so dark that I've flagged down the wrong server. Whenever I go here I just get appetizers and food to share. none of it was outstanding. I've ordered the chicken tenders, the guacamole, the artichoke dip (when they had it), tuna poke nachos, and some of their flatbreads. They were all okay, but nothing to write home about. The drinks are also mediocre and sometimes it seems like they water down the cocktails. Service is generally nice but sometimes slow. I completely understand this though and I don't blame the server. For example, once I went with my friend and we got seated in an awkward out of the way spot. The server assigned to our table either wasn't alerted to the fact that we were there, or just didn't see us. Another service finally noticed us and took our orders. My biggest issue with Yard House is the cost is not worth the quality and amount of food. My mom and I were at the mall shopping on a weekday afternoon and after surveying the grim food court options, we noticed Yard House and decided to have a sit-down lunch. It was around 1:30pm so it was not overly crowded, but I was still surprised by the number of tables occupied, including patrons at the bar. I've been to Yard House in other states, so I knew the drill-LOTS of beer (none of which I can enjoy for the next 5 months-boo!) and standard "upscale" American food. I appreciate the lunch specials where you pair a salad or soup with a half sandwich, single taco, 8" pizza, small noodle dish, or 2 sliders since this is a lighter option than the typical mega amounts of food. I also appreciate the varieties of unsweetened iced tea offered (get the passion fruit!), and my mom appreciated the coke zero, which she said is hard to find in restaurants. I ordered the mixed field greens with 1/2 of a turkey club (swiss, hand carved turkey, avocado, bacon lettuce, tomato-no mayo per request). The 1/2 sandwich was larger than expected and was served on crisp toast. Everything was fresh and filling. My mom chose the tomato basil bisque (which she said was deliciously seasoned) and a blackened whitefish taco. No complaints from her! Our server was super sweet and brought out refills before we even requested them and she checked back regularly. We had a very unpleasant experience at MacMillan Whiskey Room, the owner was disgustingly rude, so we decided to take our business back to yard house where everyone is always very professional and friendly. They accommodate different food sensitivities and have PLENTY of options for ppl with dietary restrictions. They're very gluten free friendly which I love! They have endless verities of drinks and food options. Whatever we've gotten has always been good, never a disappointment. They have tablets on each table where you can order, pay and even play games so that's super cool. It's a good way to keep entertained when drinking, but also excellent for families with kids. Almost all of the appetizers on the regular menu are half off during HH. The drinks aren't the cheapest for HH prices but it's great because it includes discounts ($2) off of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails. 9oz wines are $3 off and half yards are $4 off. For food items I ordered the Pork Lumpia (5/5 good portion and tasty), and the Poke Nachos (5/5 decent amount of tuna and all the toppings went well with the crispy wontons). This is actually the second time I've been to HH at Yard House and I remembered that the place gets super packed. We got there around 340pm and it was pretty empty (sat at the bar). However, by 430 there were only a few seats/tables left, and by 5pm the whole restaurant was packed. read more

I was excited to finally try Yard House! We don't have any in MD and I've heard good things about their food so I thought the trip to Springfield would be worth it. When we got here, it was a short 5-10 min wait. I was starving so I was pleased to hear such a short wait period. We were greeted and sat by the host. It was a very nice welcome. The place is a lot bigger that I expected. The ambience was nice as well. I got upscale sports bar vibes but still really casual. Our waitress Rose, was great. She was a big help to my indecisive boyfriend. He liked the large amount of local beers on tap. He ultimately got they 3 course meal special with a massive glass of O'Connor El Guapo. He liked his food for the most part but he did say his entree was small for the price of it. Since I'm currently on the keto diet, I was limited to what I could have so I settled on the lettuce-wrapped asada and chipotle chicken street tacos and traditional buffalo wings. I didn't really enjoy the flavor of the tacos. The asada taco was bland and the chipotle chicken taco was too salty. I did, however, enjoy the wings. They had the right amount of kick and they were a good sized portion for the price. They're were a few hiccups in the service. My boyfriend originally chose another beer first but they ran out of it so he settled for the O'Connor. Then, he had his mind set on the the peach and apple cobbler but we weren't told until right before dessert. He wasn't interested in the other options so he just asked if he could just get the scoop of ice cream that comes with the cobbler. The kitchen sends out the ice cream. As he was eating it, he realized it was sitting on a chocolate souffle. Unfortunately, he doesn't like chocolate. Rose was very apologetic and made sure to correct things. I've been here a few times and have had the same great experience every time. The entire staff (hostess, bartender, and waiters) are all excellent. They work with you to make sure you have the best experience from recommendations for food and drinks to accommodating your tv viewing needs. For those that enjoy beer, Yardhouse has a million options and everything sounds good. Of course, you have to get your favorite brew in the half yard. They have revamped their menu a few times and now everything sounds and tastes awesome. The lumpia rolls, poke nachos, chicken tenders, fried mac and cheese, and spinach artichoke dip are all great options to start. For entrees, I always get the street tacos. You can't go wrong with any of them but I like the vampire and Korean tacos. The jambalaya is another one of my favorites too. Went there to watch football on a Sunday. I sat at the bar which was my desire. The bar was crowded but I was able to find 2 seats next to each other. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. I had the smoky Old Fashioned and the drink was smoked right in front of me. It was tasty and a very good drink. We ordered the nachos and lettuce wraps. Both were good. The size of the nachos was excellent. The chicken and the beans were tasty and there was an ample amount of both. There were tons of TV's and they pretty much covered all the games that were on at that time. The sound was of the Commanders game, of course, but I was happy that I could watch the Ravens and my guest could watch the Commanders easily from where we were sitting. So, I've been to this establishment twice. My first visit concerned some hygiene and sanitary issues which were immediately addressed by management via email. They were extremely courteous and took full responsibility. I was very impressed and appreciative to be taken with such seriousness. I went a second time on my gift card provided by the company with my mom. Unfortunately, the second visit was equally concerning. It just felt like an overall sloppy experience. Our server was nice, cordial. Just not very present. And it was a sequence of events that made me feel like I ought to write a review. I didn't respond a second time to the manager as I didn't want them to think I wanted a second gift card. My concerns- Our glasses were both clearly not cleaned well. Our server kindly replaced when asked. My fries literally had a "Made in Afghanistan" tag/sticker in it. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW/WHERE/WHY this would be there????? Like how on earth does something like that get in your fries? A couple other smaller things happened which just made it feel very sloppy I hate to say and almost laughable, just cuz things kept happening. :P The most concerning part of all was that my mom and I had severely dry lips for the next several days. The only time this has happened to me was in the dead of winter and usually remedied quickly by lots of chapstick. I couldn't explain it and it didn't go away for 3-4 days. Then it happened to my mom, and we jogged our memory as to what it could be/what we ate...and while I could be wrong, I have a huge suspicion that it was cleaning solution on the drinking glasses (which was the original concern) of my first visit. I had to write this review, as it just blatantly stood out on my second visit that things just don't seem right on an operational level and all the more, some serious health and hygiene concerns may be at play. Dear Yard house, My 90 year old grandma has been missing for 3 years and clearly you guys have her in your kitchen putting her FOOT in that fried chicken!!! There are not too many items that I've tried and haven't gone back to have again. Portion sizes are often big enough for two, especially the entrees. The lemon pepper bone in wings are crispty crunchity lemoniny pepperty goodness but they also have several other Flavors that my husband likes! My husband likes to dip his toes in the flavor pond so He can live on the edge all he wants but big momma don't do wet wings! If you like good American eats with a lively sports bar vibe. My girls and I came for dinner on a Friday night. You have to put yourself on the waitlist, but we didn't mind as we just walked around the mall. Waited about 35 mins. Everything we ordered was delicious and ON POINT! The garlic shiitake noodles were so good, probably the best I've ever had them. Then we got queso dip. The chiles are a nice touch. And It came with chips and tortillas. When you order the 12 piece wings you get to pick 2 sauces. The Korean Chicken Wings were soooo flavorful and crispy. They have a little of everything for everyone, even if you want to skip the beer belly. *Poke Nachos Appetizer - Marked as their popular and it definitely is a tasty, worth-getting appetizer. I love the flakes of seaweed and chunks of soft fish mixed with crunchy tortilla Chips. *Sesame Chicken Bowl - I got this (with the fried rice option) for my tot as it is packed with tons of healthy veggies. The chicken was nicely seasoned and not overcooked; likewise, the brown rice was fluffy and soft. *Shiitake Garlic Noodles - Not a "wow" to me, perhaps because I've had outstanding garlic noodles and the garlic was not balanced well with the other seasonings mixed in. Going up in Southern California, I've always been a fan of Yard House for both their extensive beer selection and their happy hour specials. Cool to see they keep the specials the same even in their east coast locations. I stopped by here a few times for dinner while I was staying at a hotel near by. On my most visits here I did notice they've definitely expanded their menu to include vegetarian and even vegan options. Service was pretty prompt from the bar and had no problem ordering food or even getting another round or two of beers once I was getting low. Not sure what made it happy hour for all of Monday night, but it seemed to go beyond the standard 3pm-6pm time. Not complaining but would like to know why I was saving money :) Definitely a great spot for beers or watching a game going on as there are plenty of TVs at the bar. We had an amazing time at Yard House! We shared the Wisconsin cheese curds to share, then I had the Baja fish tacos, vampire style, and my friend got the BBQ Bacon Burger with Sweet Fries. Everything was delicious! I work at a brewery back home, so of course we had to get a flight of beers- they were all fantastic! My favorite was the Amber Tripel, and everything we tried had great flavour. After the great food, the service was even better! Our server Maleighia was wonderful! Super friendly and on it all night, and provided great recommendations when we had questions. The hosts (didn't catch their names-sorry!
