I love coming to this Yardhouse. My co workers and I make it a point to come at least once or twice on fridays during a month and the service here is just great. We have been here at least 20+ times and the service is always a 10/10. They are friendly and helpful and it is greatly appreciated. Yardhouse changes up their craft beer selection and we love to try anything new. Cocktails are great and always made to perfection. Good food and drinks. YH has changed their menu they say due to COVID-19. They no longer have a lunch menu. Which means everything costs a little more. At the same time you might get a larger portion of food. No where near the same atmosphere in restaurant before pandemic. It is a lot less noisy. Service is good nonetheless. Yard house is the spot- hands down. Lots of beers to choose from and the food is great. When I came on a Thursday we had to wait a little bit but it's no worries. He mentioned there was "too much chanting" and kept looking out at other table with three other guys. We used to go every Sunday, with a big group. Fun place. Good food. The poke nachos are a must-have. Odd thing about this visit was it sounded quiet when we walked in, yet I was told it would be 8-15 minutes for a table. I glanced around the corner and saw there were only a few people at the bar. There was a sea of empty tables - saw no one there. We really wanted one of the high tops. I asked what was up and the ladies (3 of them) at the front hostess stand told me it was because there was a shift change. Really?? You guys shut down for shift changes? Let me start by saying this was the worst visit to a yardhouse in my 6+ years of visiting yardhouse. First the hostess said it would be quick 5-10 mins. This turned out to be 27 min. That's big difference in expectations set vs reality. They guest and I saw a few people walk out upset and one lady even said this is terrible I never got served. That should have been my hint, but didn't want to spoil the evening for my guest who was celebrating a work anniversary. When seated, it then took another 7 minutes for someone to come to the table. We ordered drinks and food right away as we knew if we don't do it now, who knows how long this is going to take. The appetizers came out quickly which was good. Then the food came out by a whole different server. When we asked for utensils because we're not given any when seated it took about another 5 min to find our original server to get us some. She finally did and then the food came out. The food was ok. Then we had finished our drinks and never found our server to get us refills. Lucky for us we had asked for waters as well and that was what we drink to finish out meal. A couple of minutes before walking out and paying at the table our server showed up and asked if we wanted refills..??? I'm like 15 to 20 mins too late to ask that question. Proceeded to pay and walk out. For a Tuesday night with minimal traffic in the restaurant you would expect better. Who knows what happened? However for a chain this big to allow this, either they don't care about customers and just living off the common demand of their establishment or their is a lack of leadership at the management level? The Garlic fries are so great! The food was all good When we first got here we waited at the front counter for a while before the lady got to us. She was on a call and didn't say "i'll be with you in a minute" or anything to acknowledge the line of people waiting. For some reason they don't provide an itemized bill unless it's asked for. Had a great experience at the yard house tonight. Our server, Sky, had perfect timing on everything. She attended to us properly, the food came out quickly hot and fresh. I ordered a drink that is no longer in the menu which used to be a signature drink and the bartenders did not disappoint. PRO TIP: when you order the wings, make sure you get bone in. I came to this yard house last week after work one day when I really needed a beer. This was my first time at this yard house location. This place hasn't changed over the years, it's a loud sports bar. I don't understand why the music has to be blaring but there are sports on the TVs? Honestly I just wanted to listen to the basketball game, I could've done without the annoying rock music. I do like the good selection of beers, on this visit I had a delicious tangerine wheat. They have an ample selection so you are sure to find something you like. What I don't love about the yard house is the prices are really high for the quality of food you get. I had the vegan burger which was OK, not great. For my burger and a beer at my mail came out to be about $26. Too pricey, too loud, food doesn't stand out over anywhere else. I wasn't that impressed with Yard House on my visit a few days ago. I ordered the pepperoni mushroom pizza as an appetizer and it was super greasy. It had a good flavor but overall, the grease was puddling in the middle and all over. Then, I ordered the pork chop which comes with a mix of vegetables with cauliflower rice. The mix was good, but the dish was SO salty. I was most unimpressed with the price. My total for 2 pork chop entrees and the pizza was $80 without tip. That's insane! Especially because the restaurant doesn't give you bread and the pork chop entree doesn't really come with a lot of food, so we barely left full. I remember it being less salty when I ate it about 5 months ago too. But for $80, I could've gone to wood ranch or black angus and gotten stuffed! read more

They brought our food out but we didn't have utensils. We shouldn't have to ask for utensils as they should have already been on the tables prior to seating us. But last time we went we were shocked to see they downsized the vegan menu greatly. They went from having tons of options to a simple, non-creative vegan menu. There's lots of other options to create amazing vegan dishes. The Yard House is located at The Collection in Oxnard right off the 101 Freeway. The Yard House is restaurant that houses tons of brands of beer & wine. They have tv's all over so you can watch a variety of sports. There are long booths lined along the walls & high & low tables everywhere else. The bar is in the middle where they house a hundred or so beers on tap. Food can also be ordered at the bar. There is a selection of the typical bar food, like burgers, fries, onion rings, sandwiches, & pizza. They also have vegetarian & vegan options & some fushion foods which is great for those that want something other than bar food. The service can be spotty. A number of my last few visits have been inconsistent, which can be attributed to a number of things... short-staffed, lack of training or poor management. I'm not sure what it is. On my last visit it was definitely due to being short-staffed. And although, they don't have the best food or service, I think we come back just because there is something for everyone within our party & you can bring kids. And we always have kids in our group. I recommend looking at the menu right away, even before you get there. Have an idea of what you are ordering & once you get seated, order your drinks & food. It may take a while between visits from your waitress/waiter or server. If you need separate checks, mention it early & have them put on separate tabs right away to avoid mistakes on the bill. This will help make your visit much smoother. FYI, the took off a few of their best selling dishes & I am not sure why. I hope that they add a few more plant-based & vegan-friendly bar dishes to round out their menu. read more
