Inside of Healthy Egg White Omelette
    D L.

Wanted to love this place! I would return but only for drinks, maybe not for food Service was quick and we were immediately seated for Sunday brunch. Pancakes were cheap box mix. Super tough and rubbery, even with syrup. I got the healthy egg white omelette and was disappointed. It was basically steamed broccoli, a thin sheet of egg whites (Max 3) and a boatload of thick cheese. I took a bite of the cheeseburger omelette which was good, I think it would be a good hangover meal. Overall the experience was okay, but could've been better. I would be interested to try their drinks because that seems to be their selling point

    Peach!! Mimosa our favorite.

This place is a gem. Not only do they accept reservations, but they are soo attentive. Their food is amazing. They have bottomless mimosas for $23 and at least five choices of flavoring. (Mango, pineapple, cranberry, strawberry and orange) , pineapple my favorite. . Their servers and their waiters are so kind and so handsome. It's such a fun atmosphere. I recommend this place 1000 times over and over again for a family setting or a girls brunch setting. You want elite service, request Abe and Ricardo as your waiters.

I would say location is decent. Right off the 101 near a busy street and a railroad track so it can be noisy. There is seating indoors & outdoors. Pricing is between $15-$30 which is not terrible. I am sure they are known for their mimosas since that was a number request for most tables around. I ordered an fresh squeezed orange juice and a buffalo ranch sandwhich. wish they would have added ice to my juice. first of all our waiter did get our order wrong multiple times, the servers who brought us food didn't have name tags but one tall one with curly hair seemed very overstimulated and horribly bringing our food as he placed our plates on the table some plates the juice was spilling and he got one our familu members dirty and one plate had a hair all along. I would say order was good but I don't think I would come again.

OMG! SIX DOLLAR MARGS?? Yes please!!

A winner every time! I just discovered that the Vineyard Café offers six dollar margaritas... No happy hour needed, it's just this easy all the time!

Very good service and the food was great. There are many things to choose from and it is a place for all ages. I would definitely bring my family to have breakfast here again, it was an easy over $100 for a family of 6, but very well worth it. We all had plenty of leftovers.

This is our second time to this location and I can say it was just as delicious each time. Very unassuming on the outside, but inside is a vibe. Plenty of patio seating. Come here for brunch. It's hard to beat bottomless mimosas. They have many flavors of fresh juice to choose from and our server was ready to bring another before we were finished with the first. If you're going to have more than one, it's worthwhile to order bottomless. My go-to has been the chicken and mushroom crepes. They are so delicious. The hollandaise is perfect and my food is always HOT. We have also tried the dulce de leche pancakes and they were indulgent and dreamy. Those were such a treat. Needless to say, we will be back for many times to come.

    Pastrami Benedict and Red Potatoes

About once a month, I drive up to Oxnard for business, and every time, I find myself on the hunt for a great local spot to stop for breakfast. This time, I was at a shop asking around for recommendations, and a gentleman told me he goes to Vineyard Café all the time. That was all I needed to hear--I thanked him and headed straight over to check it out. Walking in, I immediately noticed the cozy, inviting atmosphere. It's nothing too fancy, but it's got its own charm and warmth--exactly the kind of spot that makes you feel right at home. Looking over the menu, one item immediately stood out to me--Pastrami Benedict. Now, I love a good classic Eggs Benedict, and I definitely love pastrami, but I had never seen them combined before. That alone made it a must-try. When my plate arrived, I could tell I had made the right call. The English muffin was toasted just right, the pastrami was lean and tender, and the poached eggs were perfect and ready to break open with that golden yolk. But what really brought it together was the beef gravy--a bold and rich departure from the usual hollandaise sauce. It added a deep, savory flavor that paired beautifully with the pastrami. The red potatoes on the side were crispy, golden, and well-seasoned--an ideal complement to the hearty dish. Since I was already treating myself, I couldn't resist ordering a Cheese Blintz as well. I went with the fresh strawberry topping, and wow! The crepe was thin and delicate, with a slight crisp at the edges, wrapped around a smooth, creamy cheese filling. The fresh strawberries added the perfect amount of natural sweetness, and the light dusting of powdered sugar tied it all together. It was simple yet absolutely delicious--a perfect way to end my meal on a sweet note. Vineyard Café ended up being a fantastic find, and I can definitely see why it was recommended to me. The food was unique, flavorful, and satisfying, the portions were just right, and the atmosphere made for a relaxed, enjoyable breakfast experience. If you're ever in Oxnard and looking for a solid breakfast spot, this place is absolutely worth stopping by!

Vineyard Cafe has some of the best breakfast and brunch food around! I'm eaten one of the best meat omelets I'm ever eaten here, delicious pancakes, hash browns, scrambled eggs, and more. What I really like is that they extended their hours to 8:00pm. I love BAD (breakfast at dinner). When the weather is really nice, you can sit outside at one of the many tables on the patio- or you can request a spot inside. I've also tried the monster mimosa with friends, but warning, it cost $75 I believe. It was fun to have it take up a lot of space on the table, a struggle for us all get up to drink it from our respective seats, and people make comments asking what "the heck was in that huge drink?" I don't think I'd order again, but it was a fun experience. The servers are fast, friendly, and helpful. The food comes out very quickly - and my hunger is always satisfied! Come for brunch - or for BAD!

    Pancakes Buttermilk Pancakes

My pancakes weren't fully cooked, the food was fine, but the pancakes were raw. I think you should order something other than pancakes, or at least make sure your food is cooked properly before you eat it. I was really looking forward to eating my pancakes, I hope they can try to improve on that...

Vineyard Cafe is a solid breakfast / brunch spot in Oxnard and it's clear why it's a favorite amongst the locals. The food is good, service was friendly, and they have Instagram worthy gigantic cocktails for purchase (need to share with like 6 people) because they are massive! The restaurant itself is kind of tucked away and hard to see from the parking lot. I understand why I've gone all this time without trying this spot. I only knew about it outside of social media because one of my friends recommended it but otherwise not sure this spot would have caught my eye. The inside is a packed little breakfast restaurant and it's smart that they utilize outside tables because this spot on a Monday brunch was still packed. Clean and nicely decorated on one side of the restaurant with hanging flowers and such. Just not much of a vibe for me personally on the side we sat which was by the counter and main entrance. Staff here were super friendly and inviting - easy 5/5 stars there! One of my favorite things about this place is how welcoming everyone was throughout our dining experience. The gentleman taking our order was kind, prompt, and helpful throughout our exchange with him. If I ever needed a drink refill or a sauce he was on top of it. The food was classic and tasty diner like fare. Lots of breakfast plates and Mexican inspired dishes. Plenty of sandwiches, burgers, soups, a menu easy for anyone to navigate and like I said gives a diner all American causal feel with a little bit of Mexican flair based on some menu items. I had a Patty melt and it was delicious! Great cook and flavor on the Patty and perfectly toasted sourdough bread. The French fries were like crispy cottage fries, very good. Everyone seemed to like their meal and complimented that the food was in fact tasty. The reason they are getting a solid 4 stars is mainly based on value / cost & then a couple of little sanitary issues. The biggest reason I couldn't give 5 stars is just the value isn't there for me. Don't get me wrong the food and service were about 5 stars. BUT this is some no frills classic diner breakfast foods and for two of us the bill was $60 after tip. We only ordered 1 sandwich plate, 1 breakfast plate, a hot tea, and a juice. $50 something bucks plus tip rounding up to $60 is steep for this type of food and overall atmosphere if you ask me. I'm happy the food is good but for that money I'd probably rather go somewhere to order food that I don't have the skillset to make at home. Also as with some younger staff or new staff working I would just urge them to be mindful of cleanliness and cross contamination. When we were there we noticed one of the staff making the giant cocktails and we watched curiously (because they look so cool). What we did witness was the man put his hands unintentionally all over their giant straws. The straws are big and he was grasping them in his hands, without the little paper on them or gloves on his hand. His hands were up and down those straws before putting them into their giant mixed drink. Again, I get it - the cocktail is massive the last thing he was paying attention to was where his hands fell on the straw while holding them and trying to figure out where to line them up in the drink but that was a little ick for me. Would I come back? Yes I would. Good food and good service plus a nice variety menu. I just don't know if I'll be back soon as ambiance was mid and prices are higher than I'd normally want to pay for a causal brunch.

What is the price of the bottomless mimosa?

Pretty sure its $13.99 for bottomless. One mimosa is $7.99, so if you plan on drinking more than one, it's in your best interest to just go for the bottomless.

    $12 for pancakes?

    Our pancakes is $8.99

And let me tell you, when you're heading to an island for kayaking and hiking, securing food starts to feel less like lunch planning and more like wilderness survival strategy. The online ordering process, though, gave my husband a minor technological character-building experience. Not especially intuitive or user friendly. Then, on the morning of the trip, we weren't entirely sure where the lunches would actually appear. Tiny scavenger hunt energy. Thankfully, they were waiting for us at the ferry office, and we both immediately took the same relieved breath: "Excellent. We shall not perish on the island." The sandwiches themselves were genuinely delicious. I had the Caprese, my husband had the turkey baguette, and both were fresh, flavorful, and substantial enough to fuel actual adventure instead of just delaying hunger by 20 minutes. Each lunch box also came with chips, Fuji water, and a chocolate chip cookie that quietly stole the show. Soft, delicious, and exactly the kind of reward you want after hauling yourself around an island pretending you're far more athletic than you really are. By the time lunch was over, I was happy, full, and fully prepared for the next round of kayaking and hiking. Which is really the highest compliment an adventure lunch can get.

Ordered coffee and took our goods down the street to watch the seals. Only ordered the drip coffee, nothing fancy here, but it was excellent. Good roast on the darker side, my only concern are the lids. Hot coffee filled to the top and as I lift my coffee the lid pops off sprinkling coffee as I tried to reach the counter to set it down. The lid didn't fit tight, so I asked for another lid. It stayed on as I walked to my table, but popped off again as I left. The strawberry custard croissant was flaky, smooshy and the berry itself was a marvel of ripeness and color. If you read my other reviews, I have a thing for chocolate croissants. This one was flaky and perfect looking and the honey on the shell made the layers of laminated dough even better. My first few bites were non-chocolate filled and filled with air pockets between the layers of dough. Once I reached the thin layer of chocolate, it was underwhelming. I may have to go back again and give it one more try.

The process was super easy and made the wait feel seamless. We were seated on the "outdoor" patio, which was absolutely delightful. It's covered, so it feels like you're inside, but it's still open-air and pup friendly, which we loved. They even have a pup menu and bring out little metal water bowls. Our doggo was living his best life. The menu is large with tons of options. We initially tried using the QR code (which is great because it includes photos), but ultimately asked for a paper menu, sometimes it's just easier to flip through. My husband ordered The California (eggs, bacon, and pancakes). This breakfast also comes with toast and your choice of potatoes. We upgraded to the chili cheese tots, thinking it was just a small upcharge from the standard side, and didn't realize until we got back to the hotel that we were charged $8 for them, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the tots were tasty (just eat them quickly because they cool off fast!). His eggs were cooked perfectly, but the $3.50 upcharge to add blueberries to the pancakes felt steep, and the bacon was mostly fat and a bit overcooked. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros with poached eggs, and the eggs were absolutely perfect. The dish was bursting with flavor. My only critique was that the beans were a bit too liquid-heavy, which made the tortilla very soggy, I couldn't finish as much as I would've liked because of that. The Bloody Marys, though? So good. Highly recommend! We both loved them. Our server was pleasant and friendly. Oh and there was a Char Man hot sauce on the table that was EPIC! Overall, we would definitely come back, we'd just try a few different menu items next time... except for the Bloody Marys. Those are a repeat order for sure.
