All three desserts. Closest is the butter cake, then Keylime, the farthest is the creme brulee.

Thank you Larsen's Grill in Oxnard for saving our Christmas dinner! The restaurant we had reservations for flooded due to the rain storm of the century and could not open. We called Larsen's and they had an open reservation at 7:30 PM. We were greeted with friendly faces, a joyful ambience in the restaurant and it was definitely Christmas. We had two dinners of lobster tail and one of the pork chop. This was a preset menu, which was very representative of their excellent food. The pork chop was probably the best pork chop we've ever had in our lives. It was prepared sous vide style and so tender, juicy and seasoned perfectly. The lobster tails were good size, broiled, but a little dry and not much flavor but the butter made them all better. We still enjoyed it and really were happy to be there. We tried 3 of the desserts. The maple bourbon crème brûlée, the butter cake and their house-made Keylime pie. There were three of us eating and we all tried these options. We had two thumbs up on the crème brûlée, one thumb up on the butter cake and no thumbs up on the Keylime pie. The Keylime pie was similar in our mind to a cheesecake (huge piece, super creamy but it's not what we were used to. The crème brûlée was delicious, but we didn't get much maple bourbon flavor. The butter cake tasted and felt like a cake doughnut, delicious but not what we expected. We also enjoyed the maple carrots side dish, it was fantastic! All in all the dinner was successful and again thank you Larsen's for serving us all on Christmas instead of you being home with your families. It is truly appreciated!!!

After having Larsen's here for years, we finally had dinner here. Such nice vibes inside. Upscale but relaxing. Delicious steaks, cooked to perfection. Nice cocktail menu. Extensive wine menu. Wish they offered a decent bread option. Normally steakhouses offer a good bread and butter menu option, and their garlic bread just doesn't cut it. Easy parking, short walk. Definitely pricier, but a good choice for a steakhouse.

Stopped in as the restaurant we were intending to go to had a 35 minute wait so thankfully Larsen's had plenty of available seating and did not disappoint! There was a piano player at the bar and made for the best ambience while dining in the main dining room and our server was spectacular. The food was delicious and the drinks were good and overall made for a nice evening before we had to attend a show at the comedy club nearby.

First time here ! Happy hour is pretty good The shrimp tacos were the best I've ever had! They have a good spicy kick The Hawaiian Tri tip had a good flavor but the meat was not very tender and was a little Rough to tear off The sliders were nothing special but tasty they just need a little extra pizzazz The butter cake was 10/10 phenomenal Good customer service and beautiful restaurant and they have live music singer with pianist vibes were nice

celebrated our daughter's wedding with a small family dinner the evening after. they accommodated our party size perfectly an Eddie our server was attentive and courteous. while the miso soup arrived cold, it was replaced fairly quickly. I had the rib/trip tip combo and the ribs slid right off the bone. very extensive wine and cocktail list. the 2022 Austin Hope did not disappoint. the desserts were decadent and could feed a small country. try the butter cake! The next day I had a voicemail from the restaurant thanking us for visiting and offering to answer any questions or take feedback. That kind of customer service is very rare and I would go back in a heartbeat.

I want to start this review by thanking Mark for his above and beyond service at Larsen's. His attention to detail was what completed our dinner. I chose Larsen's to celebrate my mother's birthday and made a dinner reservation online for 6 of us. We were a larger party which is why the attention to detail was clearly delivered. We started our dinner with 2 appetizers of the Jalapeno Queso Dip and Guac, creamy, cheesy, and with a little bit of spicy. Great appetizer to start. Everyone in the my party enjoyed their entrees from the New York Strip, Filet Mignon, Porterhouse, Rib Eye, and Sea Bass. I ordered the Hawaiian Tri Tip which I will rate an 8/10. The tri tip was a bit overcooked but next time I will simply choose a different entree. The flavor and taste was great. It paired great with their mac and cheese (order a larger size as it is very rich and creamy. Try and save some room for their dessert menu. The butter cake pairs excellent with vanilla ice cream. Among the dessert drink menu the PB & J Old Fashioned drinks tastes exactly like the classic PB & J sandwich. Overall, stellar food and stellar service for a beautiful night to celebrate a birthday.

Stopped by for dinner on a Tuesday. Not many people at 5, but Larsen's ambiance and service is always on point. Thank you Jonathan for a delicious dinner.

I was spending the night in Oxnard and felt like prime rib so, I hit up Larsen's Grill in the Collection. I ordered a glass of the Sonoma Chardonnay and of course the Prime Rib medium rare and of course, everything was just outstanding. Not only was the food outstanding but also the service as I was sitting at the Bar. Great Job and if you are ever in the area, check them out and I'm sure you will enjoy your evening.

Went for Happy Hour . Service is amazing. The calamari tasted awful but really enjoyed the steak tacos and spinach dip. It's supposed to be spinach /artichoke but it was all spinach . Still great . House wine was good too. Why the 5 stars ? It is because when I told the server , Alex about the issue he took the dish away immediately and asked if he could bring anything else while apologizing. He went above and beyond to make sure ... he could make it right . We opted not to get anything else . The Christmas decor , dim lighting and soft music playing is always a vibe. Great place to meet friends and be able to catch up.

Would highly recommend for special occasions waiter Eddie was on point an excellent service

This review is strictly for the kitchen. Ordered the spinach and artichoke dip and the chips were extremely stale, but was replaced by our waitress who was extremely understanding. my husband ordered the ribeye asked for medium and it came out rare towards the middle and fat parts of the steak. For the pricing of the menu, you would think the food would come out correct the first time. Be cautious of the steaks if ordering any. Update: DO NOT recommend this place to eat!! My husband got food poisoning not long after eating from this restaurant. We will never be returning again.

    Horrible "crème brule"

Disappointed overall. The food was just okay, but definitely overpriced for the quality. Service was very slow throughout the meal, and we ran into cleanliness issues that were hard to overlook. Several plates we were given were dirty and had to be replaced, and the tablecloth was also visibly dirty. The bottoms of some plates were unclean as well, which we documented in photos. Dessert was especially disappointing. The crème brûlée was genuinely bad. Three different people at our table tried it and all agreed it was unpleasant. For the price point, we expected much better service, attention to detail, and overall quality. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth it.

Larsen's never disappoints. Steak, Ahi, drinks, desserts, are all worth it. Happy hour or a special occasion this place is always a great choice.

I understand everyone has off days, especially when it's hot and busy, so I tried to be patient. However, the service was extremely slow. We were there for about two hours, and while she checked on us a few times, the overall experience felt awkward and inattentive. It was my 4-year-old daughter's birthday, and she excitedly kept telling our server. The response was simply, "Okay, do you want to order a cheesecake?" My daughter said yes, and I told the server that was fine. Before asking what flavor she wanted, the server immediately walked away. My daughter loudly said she wanted the Oreo cheesecake, which the server must have heard because that's what she eventually brought. What bothered me the most happened when my daughter and I went to the restroom. I frequently dine out alone with my daughter, and whenever we leave the table, I make sure to let someone know so they don't think we've left. While we were gone, a busser left a large bus tub on our booth seat. When we came back, I stood up near our table saying "Excuse me" several times, trying to get someone's attention. Multiple employees walked right past me without acknowledging me, and a few bussers just stared while I was clearly trying to get help. We were seated only one table away from the kitchen, so it was especially frustrating. Finally, a man walked by, and when I asked if he worked there, he said yes and removed the bin. Overall, the service felt inattentive, the staff seemed disengaged, and the entire experience was uncomfortable. Unfortunately, this visit wasn't worth the money, and I won't be returning.

We came here to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. We each ordered a cocktail. She got a blueberry margarita and I got a cucumber gin mixed drink. Both were refreshing and delicious. We ended up ordering another round. For appetizers we ordered the crispy maple Brussels and tuna & salmon tartare. The Brussels were fried to perfection and glazed a sweet maple syrup. It also came with thick cuts of bacon. Definitely recommend this. For the tartare, it was also delicious and fresh. It was mixed with avocado and turnip. We thought the turnip would be off putting but it actually meshed well with the flavors. Came with fried wonton chips. For the main course we shared the NY strip and Lobster Malfaldine. The steak was cooked to perfection with a very nice sear and flavored well. Probably one of the better steaks I've ever had. Definitely beats out any steakhouse steak. The Lobster Malfaldine was also absolutely delicious. Most of the time, lobster pasta is usually a bit bland and lacking in lobster. NOT HERE. They included big chunks of lobster and the sauce was so good. Lastly, we ended our dinner with the Strawberry Hand Pie. This is basically a warm strawberry strudel with vanilla bean ice cream. They used locally sourced strawberries and I'm still thinking about it as I'm writing this review. Adrienne was our server and she was very nice and attentive. Since it was my girlfriend's birthday, they comped our dessert. Super nice staff!

Last December, a friend came across The Cave while looking for a place to have lunch in Ventura and…read moresuggested we give it a try. I'm really glad he did because it's the kind of place I probably wouldn't have found on my own. The first thing that caught our attention was the self-serve wine dispensers lined with bottles ready to sample. We had a lot of fun walking back and forth, looking over the different selections, and deciding what to taste next. Being able to sample wines by the ounce before committing to a full glass made the whole experience feel interactive. I especially liked that I could compare different Cabernet Sauvignons side by side, which isn't something you get to do very often. After trying a few different Cabernets, Chimney Rock ended up being my favorite. The dining room added to the experience. The cave-like ceilings, warm lighting, and comfortably spaced tables made it easy to settle in, enjoy our lunch, and catch up without feeling cramped or rushed. If you enjoy trying different wines, it's easy to lose track of time here. We started with a cheese plate, which turned out to be much more generous than I expected. It came with a nice assortment of cheeses, crisp apple slices, grapes, candied walnuts, crostini, and a savory relish on the side. It was a great dish to share with our wine. My friend ordered the tuna poke tower, and we shared the cheese flatbread and sweet potato fries. I went with the Original Cave Salad with salmon, which came with a generous piece of perfectly cooked salmon over fresh greens, apples, grapes, walnuts, and blue cheese. Everything tasted fresh, and the portions were generous enough that we left completely satisfied. One thing I appreciated was that we never felt rushed. Lunch naturally turned into an afternoon of catching up, comparing notes on the different wines, and deciding which pours we wanted to try next. Before we left, we wandered through the wine shop one more time. If you discover a favorite during lunch, you can pick up a bottle before heading home, which is a nice touch. I'm really glad my friend found this place. The next time I'm in Ventura, it'll definitely be on my list again.

The day before, the owner Michele couldn't seem to find the paperwork where we discussed menu, family style, decor, budget etc. Thankfully, we went in the day before to double check everything. Not only were we met with a misogynistic retort to everything we talked about but he did not clarify any details that we later found out would be important. The day of the event, we accidentally hit a bottle of wine bringing in the decorations. Total accident! During the party, we had to constantly find our server (super nice guy but terrible service) to take drink orders, to take food orders, and to clear the table and bring to go boxes. Drinks weren't refilled. We cut and served the cake we brought. Then our bill comes and surprising to us, we were charged a room fee (which I confirmed they DID NOT have prior to booking), charged a cake fee (just for them to store it in their fridge and NEVER told there would be a fee for bringing a dessert, despite Michele asking the day before if we were bringing our own or using them for dessert), and he charged us $50 for the bottle we accidentally broke. With all these extra charges, in addition to already paying a deposit, we were way over the previously discussed budget. I never would have agreed to his idea of everyone ordering individual dishes instead of family style plus his outrageous extra fees had I know it was going to blow the budget. He had every opportunity to tell us there is a cake fee (never have I EVER had to pay a fee to bring a cake- even our server said he felt it was in poor taste to charge us for that). We refused to pay the room fee because we already put down a deposit and were never told there would be these extraneous charges! The terrible ending happened when I slipped and fell (8 months pregnant) in the front of the restaurant RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE OWNER, who stood over me as I was on the ground, and said "you must have slipped on the wine you spilled." Never offered concern, never offered to help me and never apologized. A staff member from the kitchen ran out to help me despite Michel being an arms length from me, looking down on me. Such a disgrace. My dress was dirtied from their floor and I was left with bruises on my knees the next day. No wet floor sign, clearly the floor wasn't cleaned up properly or dried. We will never patronize this restaurant again. What was meant to be a beautiful event turned into a calamity met with a chauvinist owner who lacks customer service and compassion.

The happy hour deals are great. The food is good, and the sizes of the dishes are still full sized, not slightly smaller to fulfill happy hour pricing. We ordered a lot of stuff, thinking we were hungry and that the portions were going to be reduced. Definitely makes me ok to come back, and most likely will, as the deals are good when it's happy hours. The inside is clean and spacious, will seating and tables decently placed and spaced from each other. Come try it, especially during happy hours! We ordered the seared tuna, it was delicious. Comes with 6 slices. We also ordered a seared tuna salad, and that tuna had a different flavor, slightly more spicier, but good too. The calamari is still good, but not as I had memorized from past visits, but still pretty good. The cheese curds are pretty awesome if you like cheese curds. Would definitely get it again. The Brussels, ask for the sauce on the side so you can dip as much as you want instead of having it drenched in the sauce. The pizzas are worth it, order one, or two. We got a pepperoni with no cheese for our intolerant peoples, and then got a regular mushroom truffle, both very delicious. The crust is soft, thin, and fluffy. The sauce is good, and the ingredients are all great together. Sliders, get them. Truffle fries, if you like truffle flavor, get it. Chicken wraps are great too, especially if you are doing low carbs.

Arrived around 7pm on a Sunday evening and the place was happenin' with tons of people hanging out in the restaurant and sitting in the bar area as well. After looking at the GIGANTIC beer selection, I peeped the Stupid Silly sour beer and it was absolutely incredible! We were only here to have a drink before our dinner reservation at another place. Staff was super sweet and helpful! If im ever in the area, ill definitely be back.

We had no trouble getting the last booth a available and we were acknowledged quickly, They were busy and mid shift change, despite that we were served quickly. The menu is a 3 course meal. Appetizer, salad. And main course. The side potions are huge so don't order the same as your partner. My filet was like butter. The garlic mashed potatoes were a little thin and not too much garlic. I will go for loaded baked next time. And there will be a next time .

This time we had a party of 10, which I know can be a little challenging for any restaurant. The service was still great. Everyone was super friendly and kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. I also love that they offer 3-course meal options--it makes ordering easy and quick. For starters, I ordered the stuffed mushrooms with shrimp and the sweet corn chowder. The stuffed mushrooms were incredible, packed with flavor in every bite. The soup didn't disappoint either, and the bread they serve with melted cheese on top was so good. For my main course, I had the filet mignon with truffle pasta. It was good, but a little dry--I wish it had been more juicy. My boyfriend got the ribeye with lobster, and unfortunately that one wasn't our favorite. Everything tasted a bit overcooked. I'm thinking it may have been because of the large party, since our previous visit was much better. Overall, I'd definitely come back--but probably for a date night instead of a big group. The inside is beautiful, quiet, and dimly lit, which makes it perfect for a cute romantic dinner.
