I haven't been here since dinner with the gals I used to work with before the girls were born. They had a salad I was able to eat. Their gluten free menu sure has come a long way since then! I took thr girls to play in the water. After I entertained them and my mom with lunch at the Yard House. I wish other places would take notes. This place was busy yet still clean! Menu options for gluten free were great. My mom wasn't sure about $15.99 for a lunch meal, but she wasn't paying. We all loved our meals and were very full afterwards which was such a treat. We are really tired of going out and spending $20 or more a person and still leaving hungry. Yard House totally nailed it. Mom had thr Turckey stack and OMGEE it was STACKED with turkey. We went to Yard House for a business dinner. Our seats were decent and not in the dark, unfortunately we were across from a crowd celebrating a birthday. They were a bit loud and chatty but it didn't distract too much from our conversations. I had the Lavender Drop which is my favorite drink. It did not disappoint. First and foremost, I would like to applaud the Restaurant Manager at this location. Your restaurant exudes the culture and hospitality that every restaurant should aim to achieve. I will follow that up with I had left two restaurants yesterday evening prior to going to your location for reasons that your location validated. Secondly, your bartenders were top notch! Friendly, attentive, efficient and the teamwork was outstanding. The employees all seemed happy everyone spoke to each other with respect and worked together seamlessly, even the wait staff, support staff and manager that were on the floor. Thirdly, the food??? Amazing!! The happy hour menu had an amazing variety and did not disappoint. Thank you for reassuring me that there are still restaurants like this that exist. 20/10 experience hands down! We arrived at Westgate Entertainment area extra about 430pm before our 730,pm concert at Gila River Arena. We put our name on the list (there were about 30 names ahead of us) and told about 35min wait & would text us when our table was ready There were diners ahead of us who were upset at the hostess for not being informed. They were attending the same concert & truthfully, they should have planned ahead & called the restaurant ahead like we did. When it was our turn to talk to the hostess, we thanked her for working on such a busy day. We.revd the text notification closer to 45min, but we enjoyed walking around the adjacent outlet to work up an appetite. Our server, Jessica, was delightful. We placed our appetizer dozen wings on the mini POS on the table. Jessica confirmed our order & took our drink order for us. We placed our main dishes on the same mini POS, but it gave us a notification to place the order with our server. When Jessica brought our drink orders, she confirmed we confirmed our main dish orders and asked for any special requests. Jessica was attentive to keep our drink orders (Arnold Palmer 1/2 ice tea & 1/2 lemonade) refilled. We started off with traditional wings (12) - we asked for the wings naked - fried plain with sauce on the side to keep the wing extra crispy longer. They used a coating on the wings that didn't add to the crispiness nor flavor. The Korean Chili Garlic sauce had a strange aftertaste, so we ended up finishing the wings dipping in the roasted jalapeño tartar, malt vinegar aïoli from the fish & chips. My favorite item is the Spicy Tuna Stack from the App / Starter section - every layer of the ingredients were fresh. The only thing I would suggest is a side of white rice or some type of chips to scoop up the delicious app. Beer Battered Fish & Chips was disappointing. The fries & the sauces;roasted jalapeño tartar& malt vinegar aïoli were more memorable. Fish wasn't as crispy & didn't have the distinct beer batter flavor. I just want to say Our Server Travis was Excellent, no complaints what so ever with him. What I didn't like is that we went for my son's 14th birthday we let him choose a place to eat and he picked the Yard House. When we got there I asked the lady up front if she can let our server know it's my son's birthday, she told me to tell the server myself. She was an older lady with glasses and kinda long curly braided hair, very rude. Another host sat us and said she would let our server know which was nice of her. We paid our bill and I think our server forgot but we didn't make it a big deal as we had cake waiting for him at home. I did let the manger know what happened. We came here on a whim on a Sunday at 11 am and it did not disappoint! It wasn't busy at all. We beat the rush for sure as there was a wait when we were leaving. Our waiter and other staff were extremely helpful and kind the entire time! The vibe is perfect for family setting or even dates! The food menu was great! We loved the food we ordered! Good portions and very flavorful! I love cheesesteak sandwiches especially when they go outside the box with flavors and this one is by far the best I've ever had! Our first visit here was very tasty. We called 30 minutes ahead to get on the wait list and by the time we arrived, we were sat. Bri was our server and was outstanding! We started with drinks and their delicious Bavarian pretzel which was HUGE! It was served piping hot, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and with tons of hot cheese sauce and a spicy mustard for dipping. The table ordered the Ahi crunchy salad, Korean Cheesesteak sandwich (without cheese), Nashville Hot Chicken and the Ahi tuna entrée. The fries were cold but quickly corrected, my SIL didn't like a drink she ordered so they took it back and returned it with what she liked (no worry, no charge). They were also out of the sweet potato cakes typically served with the Nashville Hot Chicken so they comped the entire meal and offered an additional side for no charge. Everyone from the host out front to the lady who sat us from the server and manager who came out to apologize for the mistakes - it was friendly and top notch all around. The hubs and I had no kids for the night and ended up at Westgate. We decided on Yard House as it's been a few years since eating here. We walked in and were put on the waitlist. We were told it would be about a 15-20 minute wait. We grabbed our buzzer thing and waited. We were seated within 10 minutes. We had a nice big booth towards the back. Once we were seated with our menus that was the last time we saw someone. No waters. No one came up for a good 10 minutes or so to acknowledge we existed in our booth. The hubs was starting to get irritated and we almost left until our server came up. She was super friendly and took our drink and food order. We had enough time to decide what we wanted by the time she came. My salad came out pretty quickly and man it was sooo delicious!! Our food followed pretty quickly after. The pizza was thin, crisp and so so good! The other half is pretty picky but loved the grilled cheese and tomato bisque. Overall, the food was delicious our server was great but it was pretty annoying being ignored for at least 10 minutes after we first were sat. The atmosphere is great, they always have TVs everywhere playing good games, and the beer selection is awesome. The service is always great too. I was disappointed with my food. Just as we were finishing our first round, we got paged for our table. This was already going better than expected- it had only been about 20 minutes. We sat outside and reviewed their extensive menu. There is a dish for everyone. I was surprised to see lunch specials from 11am-5pm DAILY. Love places that offer lunch specials on the weekends!! Finally decided on the Spicy Jambalaya and Vampire Taco. Yes, the name peaked our interest. The jambalaya can be served over rice or pasta- our server recommended the pasta. You can order the jambalaya as a half order or full order. The half order was plenty of food with no leftovers. The jambalaya was filled with blackened shrimp, chicken, sausage, crawfish, and a tomato cream sauce. Delicious! The Vampire taco is a street taco wrapped in a grilled, crispy cheese-crusted flour tortilla shell. The taco was crunchy and loaded with carnitas, bacon chorizo, guacamole, and crema. Yum! Our first visit to the Yardhouse did not disappoint. We were pleased with the service and the food. I was amazed that our experience went smoothly with that many customers in the restaurant. WHAT HAPPENED?? Our first date was here, and we've been coming back 10-15 times every year since then for over 10 years... that's called "Loyal Customers." But lately, things have been... like, slipping badly. What's even worse, we brought dear friends the last two times to what we described as an "amazing restaurant" and were embarrassed at how bad it was. Last month, our ENTIRE group sent our food back after waiting over 45 minutes to get it, and ALL of us had to send it back a SECOND time. They finally fixed it, but it nearly 90 minutes to get it right. And, tonight, Yard House fell FLAT on their face again. This time, the waitress actually told us (after waiting 25 minutes) that our food was "coming up." Ten minutes later, it arrived, and it's clear that it had been "up" for 15 + minutes waiting to be picked up by our waitress. My potatoes were like gelatinous pile of goo, broccoli... COLD!! And, my 20-ounce rib eye was tough and cool from sitting on the counter. Totally disappointed, I sent my entire meal back! My amazing wife then only ate half her salmon, but offered me some of hers, so I'd at least I would have some food. So, TWO meals were affected. But... they offered to bring me a FREE dessert... We had hopes for a decent meal because we got seated right away, it pretty much ended there. The ambiance isn't anything special or unique, the only reason this place is open is because it located smack dab in the middle of a shopping center. I would love to see this prime spot go to a better restaurant. We waited a long while before anyone acknowledged we were at a table, I actually think a different waitress noticed it had been a while and flagged ours down. We ordered an appetizer through app before she ever made it over. Getting refills was rough and I ordered a cocktail with when we ordered food that didn't make it out until we had finished eating. I don't know how to start this review, because I am out of words - which is highly unusual for me. Yard House is a place where I have been before a few times and I did enjoy it a lot. It has amazing architecture, European flair, and an outside - very European-like- sitting area. This time it was an extreme disappointment to the point that I decided not to go there anymore. We wanted to sit outside and there was a few tables open, but the girl who was sitting the guests stated " that's the only table you can sit at " when we tried to point out where we want to sit ( the other tables remain open until we left ). It was FRI Nov 25 at 0300 pm. After exactly 23 minutes of waiting, we got our drinks. Minutes later we could order food. It was happy hour. We started with Ahi Sashimi which was ok. Next, we ordered Chicken Lettuce Wraps and Pizza Margherita. The chicken was marinated in soya sauce to the point that we could taste salt only. As an addition to the wraps, we got a tiny portion of marinated vegetables which tasted nothing but sour. Pizza: it was sitting on frozen, pre-made pizza dough which you can buy at FRYS or any other store. The bottom of the pizza dough was covered with canned tomatoes ( about 1/3 inch thick ), and on top of this "pizza sauce " there was " Mozarella" of such a cheap kind that it was not melting. This " Mozarella" was swimming in the tomatoes from the can. On top of the pizza, one could find a few basil leaves which were dried out, basically old and lifeless. When I expressed my opinion about the " Pizza " quality and the way this food was executed - the MANAGER of the Yard House stated: " what else are you expecting, you are on the west side of the Valley ( !!!!!!! ) " I told them to take this " Pizza" back. Attention West side Valley people: Yard House believes they can feed you anything, and you will think it is ok because you leave on the West Side !! So basically you are stupid and have no idea what good food is !!!!! The Manager's comment was out of this world and he should be fired immediately. Next tried Asian wings. We received almost cold wings covered with PANKO breading and some kind of sauce, that was supposed to glue the Panko to the wings. When we received the bill we got overcharged for the Wings, it was supposed to be Happy Hour, but they charged us 14.99 for the wings. We just paid the bill and we left with the intent never to go back to Yard House again. I am attaching pictures from their Menu in support of my feedback.
