Ended up at the Carousel bar because all the other restaurants/bars had an extremely long wait time. I was seeing a show at the Desert Diamond Arena and the Carousel bar was directly across from the entrance. At first they sat us outside but after asking if they had table service they told us to move inside. Waitress was extremely friendly and the service was pretty good. Drinks were super expensive but also delicious. We got these pickle bombs and they were soo good -- We ate them so quickly I forgot to take a picture. Reason for the three stars is the rest of the food was average, prices were high and both tables we sat at were super wobbly. I was wondering the reason for the name because at first I thought it was an arcade bar -- but they had no arcade games inside -- just a bar in the shape of a carousel -- or maybe it was an old carousel? We went to Carousel before the Chris Stapleton Concert. We had to leave the restaurant next door "The Lola" because they had no air conditioning working, so we headed to next door to Carousel. The hostess told us they were cleaning off a table for four and it would be a few minutes. Another group of four men walked in and sat down at the table, never even stopped at the hostess stand. Extremely rude as we were waiting for that table. The hostess never got her manger or asked them to move, instead apologized to us and asked us to wait another 10 minutes for a table that was paying their bill. Not the way to handle that situation. We finally sit down and then order a bottle of champagne. Our server comes back a while later and tells us we're not allowed to order bottles of champagne unless it's during brunch, it does not say that anywhere on the menu! So we order glasses of champagne instead. Our server leaves and comes back a while later with only one half glass of champagne and said that's all we have left and we won't charge you for it, but we actually were charged for a full glass of champagne on our bill. We ordered the home made chips and salsa that took forever to arrive at our table. When they did it was basically a tray of chips. The chips were good, but where's the salsa? It came with two small 2 oz condiment cups of salsa. Normally you have to ask for more chips, here you don't get any salsa! When our server came back we asked her if we could put in an order for their flatbread pizza. She was honest and said it would be a very long time before it would come out if we're trying to make the concert on time, so she didn't recommend it. We appreciated her honestly, but how long does a cheese flatbread really take? Unfortunately we will not be returning to Carousel before or after any events we attend at Westgate. read more

That's not the case, because they threw auto 20% tip on our tab and it was only 630pm. We came here before the Luke Combs concert and I really appreciated we were sat right away for a party of 4 while everywhere else was about a 45 mins wait. However, it did end up taking quite long to get our drinks once we did sit down but that is to be expected on a day like that. Sadly, the drinks weren't great especially for $15 a pop. Tasted of cheap alcohol and the beer we ordered was sent out warm. I would have to say the best thing about this place was the French fries! They were awesome. The burger came out incorrect from how I ordered it with a few modifications and quite rare. I wish the server would have asked how I would have liked it cooked, however again I know she was busy. This is for the Carousel Watch Bar at Westgate mall. Worst restaurant I've been to in years. After 40 minutes our food for four people was not received. The restaurant was half full. This was my second time going to carousel and it definitely won't be my last! The first time I went was on a Saturday last June for my birthday and they were amazing. They allowed me to make my reservations ahead of time and the waitress was very attentive during the entire event. We were able to switch tables at the end to better accommodate our guests and that was nice as well. This time I went during the week and at dinner time. The waitress was amazing. Especially because she was the only staff at work and she was the bartender as well. Both times I tried a lot of different food. I did enjoy the cheeseburger eggrolls in the sauce you dip it in! the burger and fries is amazing too. No complaints here about this business. Promotional manager has a conflict of interest with a bartender. When the bartender stated that she felt insulted this promotional manager even escalated the situation vs conducting a seek to understand. Promotional manager is just a regular common hoodlumn stating he works for a high level company. Most likely if this behavior continues this place will no longer be there within a year. I love that arcade bars are becoming a thing in Arizona. My girlfriend and I needed something fun to do mid week so we jumped in the car and headed to Westgate. I obviously haven't been there enough as I noticed a lot of new additions to the plaza. We happily skipped into the bar and were greeted by the staff. Let me start off with giving a shout out to my new favorite bartender Jamieca. She was so warm and attentive. Great bubbly personality and completely engaging. What a catch They have speciality drinks and one of them was a pineapple coconut drink. It's a bit sweet so it's right up my alley. I absolutely loved this drink so if you pop in and it's on the menu and you like a sweet refreshing drink ask for the pineapple drink. We also ordered the mozzarella sticks. I'm not going to lie I was a bit skeptical since they looked like egg rolls and I wasn't quite sure how they would taste. Let's just say I'm happy I got them!!! They also passed out some free tokens so I got to kick a strangers butt in Mario Kart. Best Wednesday ever!!! This was a fun place to come visit. We stopped in while waiting to attend the Cardinals v Ravens game. It was fun seeing all of the arcade games there, but I was a little thrown off seeing kids in there. I mean, it was the daytime, and I know it's a restaurant as well. My first impression was that this place was pretty small for an arcade bar. A majority of the space is taken up by the round bar in the center of the restaurant. The games we wanted to play were also out of order so we just ate, drank, and moved on. We were not too impressed by the food but they do have some really interesting menu options to try and the drinks are damn tasty!! I had the pink panther and the pineapple colada which were both sooooo good. The cheeseburger eggrolls were just okay. I gotta say the food is pretty pricey for what you get. I'm sitting next door at Bar Louie after leaving Carousel Bar. It's Saturday night at 8:30 pm after an Arizona Cardinals game and they are NOT serving food. The kitchen closes at 8. Huh? We sat at the bar for probably 5 minutes, the male bartender was making shots right in front of us and did not say ONE word to us. His friends showed up, he left the bar and did handshakes with all of them. Came back and still no hello. The female bartender was nice. Took our drink order, when I asked for menus that's when she informed me the kitchen was closed. Bar Louie at 8:48 pm has probably 200 people in here, and YES they are serving food. Carousel had probably 15 people inside. I'm not in the restaurant business but you may want to change your business model. We moved here 2 months ago and the first try with Carousel my wife and I were the only ones in the place at 5 pm. We decided to give it another shot, sorry no three strikes this time. You're out. Maui is the best manager this place can have. He is so nice and understands the needs of a customer. This review is a bit late but the male bartenders there are very sweet as well. Along with Bri having a great attitude. I hope they keep their staff as it. Great place to go to during the day for happy hour. At night it does get a bit loud. We got the pizza roll looking things.
