This place has the worst service I've ever experienced. We went in one night, ordered beer and food, the food took 45 minutes and once it was put in front of us we never saw our waitress again. We had to walk around to find anyone who worked there to get our bill, which was wrong. They couldn't figure out how to charge us and it was a mess. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and go back for a beer 2 nights later. We get seated, order our drinks and the waitress says she was told she could only serve us food and no alcohol. We asked why and the manager came over and said it was because someone in our party said a cuss word when we walked in the door. By that time we were so done with the staff in this place that we would not spend a dime there, so we walked out. I normally like the yard house but this location needs an entirely new staff....maybe some with people and customer service skills. You are much better off going to Jefferson Social or any other restaurant in the area. read more

Took my daughter there for her 21st Bday along with the rest of the family. It was a Monday evening so not crowded and grabbed a big booth for all 6 of us. Started off with a couple IPA's and appetizers. The chicken flatbread is tiny and my 14 yr old son devoured it while the rest of us had sweet potato fries with that awesome maple bacon dipping sauce. 3 of us ordered the $15 Surf and Turf Burger and it was awesome. The lobster tail stacked on a juicy burger with aioli cheese and grilled asparagus was delicious. My 19 yr old son ate the entire BBQ chicken pizza, the wife had tacos which were a little spicy and my 8 yr old daughter got grilled cheese. She was not a fan of the Texas Toast and Bright orange cheese so she ate off most of our plates. My Birthday girl had a wheat beer as well as a tropical drink of some sort and she was very satisfied. Total bill was around $125 not counting tip for 6 of us. This accounts for everyone's meal, 3 craft beers, 3 domestics and the mixed drink. The waiter was very good and personable as well. We will definitely go back. read more

I wanted to love this place! The location is amazing, between the football and baseball fields, and overlooking Riverfront Park. Looks great inside, but we waited a long time for our orders and had some issues with getting them correct. It's always rough when the kids' orders aren't right and there is a delay in getting them fed. My husband ordered a pot pie, after the waitress recommended it. It LOOKED impressive!!! It was huge, but turned out to be a regular size bowl with a wide rim, covered in crust. Although it was misleading, the size was not a problem. But the pot pie was so dry and was only some meat and a few carrots. My husband never complains to the waitress, but he was so disappointed that he DID tell her when she asked. She was very upset and took it to her manager, who she said got onto the cook staff. They DID take it off the bill and try to bring him something else. I had a pasta dish that was pretty good, but overall, we were disappointed with our experience. We think the place has the potential to be good and would give it a second chance. read more

Ahi poke - always excellent, and this time was no exception. That is the only reason I'll give the second star. The service at the bar was infuriating. The restaurant was not busy, but the bartenders couldn't be bothered. Six bartenders walked past us - repeatedly, for twenty minutes, while we held menus - and chose instead to stare blankly at....I don't know what. The last straw was the bartender taking my husband's empty glass without asking if he'd like anything else. I could understand if we were demanding or obnoxious, but these bartenders didn't seem to want to make tips tonight. We will not make it back. read more

I've been waiting to try this place for a date night with my wife. Had tried to go a couple times on the weekends but it was always too busy. Went on a Thursday evening and it wasn't terribly crowded. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. I ordered the $30 ribeye with mashed potatoes, and French onion soup to start. Our meal showed up before the soup. I mentioned that I hadn't received the soup and they asked if I still wanted it. I told them no, I didn't want it at that point. The person who delivered the food assured me the soup would be removed from the bill. The mashed potatoes were lukewarm at best. We informed the waitress that the potatoes were cold and she promptly removed the plate to bring me a new dish. After a few minutes, out comes the soup that I no longer wanted, it was decent. After a few more minutes 2nd dish comes, and the potatoes were just as cold as the first dish. The manager comes, apologizes and comes back a few minutes later with warm potatoes. The ribeye was ok, but not for the price. We finish and receive the bill, they did not even comp the soup that they forgot to bring me. Pretty bad experience overall and I will not be back. read more

I went for lunch and the beer selection is quite extensive, although it's also quite expensive, expect to pay $6-7 for a pint. I got a turkey club and found the sandwich very mediocre but the portions are generous. Sandwiches are $10-$13 with fries and it may be enough for two people. I paid $19 minus the tip for a beer, sandwich, fries. Service was excellent. read more

How terrible. Don't waste your time. Staff was disrespectful. Wish I knew the name of the manager that treated my wife so horrible. Better places to go. They don't deserve your money. read more

My friend and I went for lunch. She had been there before and raved about the food (although a little pricy for lunch), so I wanted to give it a try. The beer selection is truly impressive! I tried a German wheat beer and my friend ordered a light Kölsch style beer. The drinks arrived quickly, but obviously the server couldn't distinguish between the two very different looking style of beers. But they were served at the right temperature and tasted delicious. She ordered the vegetarian "gardein" Chicken Sandwich and I had the Cuban Pulled Pork Sandwich. The food arrived in a very timely manner and looked very appetizing. The Cuban Pork Sandwich was delicious, especially with the BBQ-style au jus, but after (literally) two bites in, my friend noticed a moldy spot on her sandwich bun. We obviously lost our appetite, mentioned the moldy bread to the server who then informed a manager. The manager stopped by, apologized briefly and offered a replacement dish, which we declined. We asked for the bill, which still had my sandwich on it, even though I gave it back together with the moldy sandwich (if you can't trust your kitchen's quality checking process to detect such an obvious quality escape, can you really trust the quality of the "hidden" ingredients in your food?). The (very friendly and professional) server re-run the bill and we paid for our two beers. Very disappointing considering the competition in the Banks area. read more

I went to Yard House once before a game with my family as a special treat. We really enjoyed it. Our waiter was fabulous and the food was delicious. My son and I got the tacos - yum! The waiter was friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu as well as all the beers available. He gave us samples and got into a long conversation with my husband about their favorite beers. The prices are a bit higher than we're used to, but the experience was very nice. The location was convenient for us, and the atmosphere was very nice. read more

Yard house hates birthdays. They lost out on a table of 15 because they kept pushing back the wait. At 1h 15 min we gave up. They told us another 30 min. Didn't even get to try the food. Damn. read more

Terrible. Went for evening drinks with about 6 friends. 1) horrible set up - dining tables are right next to bar top and there is no extra room to stand, talk, drink, so of you are going to simply drink at the bar, you will be literally on top of someone eating dinner. 2) aweful service - multiple bar keeps were beyond rude and unintelligent about cocktails or shots. 3) overpriced - 3 shots + 1 cocktail = $40. This is cincinnati not LA. 4) general ambiance is just not good - interior, staff, pricing, seating, layout simply not inviting. I don't understand how a CA based chain could get it so wrong? Likely they understand cincy demographics and know 95 percent of bar patrons don't know any better, but for anyone who has traveled west of the mississippi, north of the mason dixon line, or out of the states, they will recognize a badly orchestrated attempt to compile a bar and restaurant. read more

Beautiful place, the service was great. However the food was not good at all.... this was my first and last time here. There too many restaurants at the banks to come here... read more

The music at this location is inordinately loud, especially at the dinner hour when patrons like to talk to each other over their meal. It was so loud the waitress could not hear us to take our orders, and that was when the place was not even full. We requested the music be turned down just a little, so we could hear ourselves think , and the manager on duty informed us "it's our policy to have it this loud--that's how we do it here." Hardly responsive. I've patronized other Yard House locations and was pleased. I don't recommend this location, however. If you want a nice, casual dinner out, go somewhere else in Cinci or Newport on the Levee! read more

After calling ahead and talking to Ashley- we are told to 'come on over'. We give our name, party of 3 etc. We walk in, give our name. The hostess, Rae, rudely looks up from her tablet and says "what"? Excuse me?? My husband repeats what he had originally said. She says that we arent on the list and there is a 25 minute wait. While rolling hers eyes and being generally annoyed that we had the nerve to walk in the front door and stop her conversation with another employee. We tell her that we spoke to Ashley. She says well you arent on the list. Um!! Excuse me??!! I then ask, is there an Ashley here? Rae ignores me. Not a good move Rae. As my husband is very nicely explaining to Rae that we called, etc etc- Ashley walks up. She remembers the call, has our name on a piece of paper. A manager (tall middle aged white guy) walks up, hears the conversation and walks away! Nice managing! I have had enough at this point. I tell Rae her attitude is ridiculous and that she is a hostess, act like one. I realize that this entire place is kind of a joke. I know its not fine dining but seriously, just be nice to people who are essentially paying your salary. Not a big ask. read more

Went in about an hour before the reds game. The place was busy, but just because they were busy didn't mean we got bad service. We ordered our food, asking the server what had onions in it since there were 2 out of the 4 in the party allergic. She came back with what we couldn't eat and what was safe. We ordered the nachos, chicken and grilled cheese. The nachos usually have green onion on them. The first one came out and it got messed up and it had onion on it the server took it back immediately, since she wasn't the one who brought it out. The nachos then came back right about 5 minutes after. Our food came pretty quickly and our server sara was there just enough. The atmosphere was great, even thiugh this is a sports bar it wasn't overly loud and the lighting was perfect. The portions of food are pretty big, the taste of the food was great. Service was awesome. Would definitely recommend. On a side note the nachos can feed 2 for a meal or 4 for an appetizer. read more

The setting is good and the ambiance is fun. But, the food was at the very best average. Maybe I ordered the wring things, but the salad was limp, the tuna roll was gross and the filet wasn't even a filet, it was a sirloin...poor cut at that. The drinks were weak too, and they screwed up my son's pizza. Other than that it was great. read more

I have been here twice now and I don't feel strongly either way about it. Based purely on location, it is one of the few options you have in the Banks. It is not a bad option. They have a large beer selection, but one of the times I was there they were out of two of the beers they were supposed to be featuring. We got seated fairly quickly, but I have seen people waiting here a long time. It is a very large open space with a big bar in the middle. It has a large window facing the river, so there is a nice view of the bridge. I will say that their happy hour is pretty good. We got dinner for a very reasonable price because we ordered food during happy hour. There are a lot of TV screens with people watching sports. It is a good place if you have a large group of people who want to have a drink or grab some food. The service was a bit slow and they brought the food out in groups so some of us had no food while others did. read more

Great beer selection. Food is good too. The crowd noise was a but much, but the view of the river and the Kentucky side was lovely. The guacamole was really good. read more

Yard House is definitely a nice addition to the Cincinnati scene. In general, I try to avoid chain restaurants but this one has hundreds of beers on tap which is more than most bars can say in Cincinnati. We first went for my husband's birthday with a large group (18 people), just for drinks. It's actually a great place for large groups if you are willing to wait (on the weekends) or call ahead during the week. There was plenty of space for our group on the patio. Service was pretty efficient and I think everyone in our group was able to order beers as they pleased. We then went back about a month later to try their food. Their menu is huge, like Cheesecake Factory huge and crosses many genres. I tend to find that big of a menu intimidating but was able to settle on ordering some of their tacos. I ordered the swordfish tacos and they were pretty solid. They weren't the best tacos I've ever had but they were good enough to order again. My husband had the Thai pizza which he enjoyed. I tasted it and was delightfully surprised since Thai ingredients on a pizza are unexpected and could be good or could be bad. This pizza was definitely good. Again, our service was good. We like the Yard House, their extra large beers, and their extra large menu. read more

I visited Yard House for the first time last night and was impressed by the great food and prompt service. We arrived on a weeknight before 6pm and it wasn't very crowded. It did fill up more as the night went on but with no events going on at the stadiums it never got crowded. They have happy hour specials from 3-6pm that are listed on the menu. The drink listing is very extensive and I think over 100+ beers on tap I heard. We had the spinach cheese dip and calamari to start off. Since we had a GF person in our group they were able to bring carrots and celery for the dip along with the toasted flatbread. I had the black truffle burger with onion rings. It was very good, cooked to order and the onion rings were crisp and beer batter style. I was impressed with their unique burger listing as they even listed a surf and turf burger with lobster. Every one enjoyed their meal and I would recommend this place for large groups as they have great seating space. You also can see the river and towards PBS depending on where you are seated. read more

Great beer selection! Kim and Ann were all kinds of awesome. They were the greatest bartenders, friendly and knowledgable about the beer selections. A must stop when in Cincinnati. Hot and spicy edamame was deeeelicious!!!! read more

My meal here was just ok. I have been to other locations in the past and I was not impressed with this one. I got the roast beef sandwhich and the roll wasn't really toasted and the meat was more of a lunch meat style instead of sliced fresh roast beef. read more

Went for appetizers and drinks for my birthday. Nachos were excellent. They even surprised me with a banana cream brûlée. I'm happy!

We ordered a California roll that ended up being crab salad on top of risotto. Hmm have they not heard of something called sushi? The chicken wings were fried with Tabasco and my salad was served in a very large silver mixing bowl like the kind they use on food network when they are mixing cake batter. Hmmm like a large dog bowl. It took them 20 minutes to bring me a plate and everyone else at the table had to wait before eating. I would not recommend this place to anyone read more

Really good food and we had great service. We had the chicken nachos and individual tacos and the flight of beer.

Stopped by for lunch a few times with co-workers. The atmosphere is great with TVs all around, a bar, and the nice view of the banks from inside. Service was good and the food was okay for the pricing. Overall a nice casual place to visit. read more

Visiting Cincinnati on our first day, we chose Yard House based on location and ratings. They have SO many beers on tap, and the menu is reasonably priced. Our waiter was very friendly and they accommodated our 9mo old daughter well too. There was a mistake with my husband's meal and it came out much later than my turkey avocado club, but they were very professional and the good was DELICIOUS. We also sat outside with a great view of the river. I would definitely recommend this place!! read more

Damn good fish tacos. Might be the best in Cincinnati. The drinks were weak though. Barely any booze in my drink and they were $8/each.

We ( myself and 4 member of my family) went to have lunch in this place. We all order hamburger, after waiting 30 minutes, we had no burgers. We ask the waitress and she did know and had an attitude; we than ask the manager and she did not know. So we left without having lunch. The service was very bad. I advise that when you are on the Cincinnati Banks, do not select this place. read more

One the worst dinning experiences ever! Server was awful. We were a little late meeting our group for dinner, but when we get there she doesn't take my drink order, she doesn't know if they have the beer i want, it takes forever to finally get it. She was rude the whole time, the food was awful. The prices are outrageous. I understand it the banks and you will pay a little more, but when it's 6-10 dollars for a pint of draft beer that's a little insane. Also when it's 15-25 dollars for a below average entree I feel like I am getting ripped off. I have no problem paying these prices for great food and drinks, but this was not the case. I got a burger that I wanted medium, and it came out well done. I didn't want to ask to be re cooked because it already took forever to get my food! Much better places to go down at the banks. read more

We always sit at the bar, so I can't speak for the table service but the bar staff is amazing! They all work together and constantly check in to make sure you're doing well. If you're heading to the banks and need a drink or snack, definitely check this place out. read more

the food was great, i had the jambalaya that was very very good, and had enough meat in it for 2 dishes, my wife had a burger and fries that was very good , we rode down as a group on our harleys and parked rite up to the door, although no game was going on it was still packed for 1 pm in the afternoon, our waitress carded me on my 40th birthday , so hats off to her for making my day , i would have given a 5 star but the beer prices are overpriced but when you have 150-200 beers to choose from i can see the need for a higher glass of beer , i will go back for sure !!!!!! and the outside seating was awesome on a chilly day , with the overhead heaters !!!!! read more

Visited for the first time this past Saturday. Let me start by saying there was a huge crowd because of a Reds game so we were told it would be a wait of 2 1/2 hours. Well after a hour we were called and seated because another party had canceled reservations. I could not decide what I wanted so I ordered a couple different things. Grilled korean bbq beef was superb, sweet potato fries were great, and the moo shu egg rolls were out of this world. We had a great server. I wish I remembered his name so I could give him kudos. I will be returning here on a weekly basis. read more
