Huge menu. Decent food. Korean beef tacos are great. Pizza can be better. Blueberry beer two thumbs up. Great spot after a Reds game.

My wife and I chose the Yard House as a rare date night experience. I had some extra cash to splurge with so off we went. We arrived Friday about 6-6:15 just after their happy hour and they quoted the wait for first available at about 30 minutes. We didn't even have time to find a seat at the bar before the pager went off. I think maybe 10 to 15 minutes was all we had to wait which was awesome. I think any later than that then we would have been in trouble. They don't take reservations so getting there early and a bit of luck went a long way. Our server took a bit too long to greet us but when he did he was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. I said I wanted to splurge so we did and asked about some of the signature cocktails. At a price tag of $9.25 for their crafted and signature drinks I asked the waiter if this was a nice size drink and worth the money. His answer was that they are sizable and a good pour and wouldn't be disappointed. The "Old 43" Caught my eye since the main ingredient is Woodford Reserve. My wife almost ordered the "Smoked Pineapple" and the waiter cautioned her that "it is a very "smokey" drink and if you don't like smokey flavors or smells then you might want to try something else." He recommended the "Ruby-X". They were both amazing. Nice size and very favorable. My biggest gripe is the price point. The only reason we went for them is because we just wanted something different. My wife did order another one (much to my surprise) but I moved on to beer after the meal. I would have liked another one but that is really just to much for a single drink. If you are up for it though I recommend trying these they are not worth the $9.25 but they do not disappoint either. Dinner was excellent. Our appetizer was the Spinach Cheese Dip and Flat Bread. It wasn't a problem. It tasted great and the grilled flat bread was perfect with it. my wife ordered the sliders and enjoyed them a lot. She ate more than she usually does downing all but one of the 4. The bite I tried was tasty. What you would want a slider to be. They came with shoe string fries that reminded me of Steak and Shake and really weren't anything new or special. I had the Baja Street Taco served with a small carafe of baked beans and a scoop of re-fried rice. The Tacos were excellent and light. Though the fish was fried it was not seem greasy or soggy. Everything was fresh and crunchy and I really enjoyed it. What makes this place different: The beer selection and options to drink it. I was excited because they offer small portions for beers you want to try and I took advantage of. There are a few beers in the supermarket that are a bit pricey and I am usually afraid to try them. If I don't like them I am stuck right? Your average local bar doesn't have the big selection or the choice of a sample. This is where the Yard House is fun. The samples range from $3 to $6 it is still a bit pricey for what I think was about 1/2 a pint. I will let that slide though since, as I pointed out, this is not your average local bar. The menu also gives information on the origin of the beer, its classification (Stout, Lager, Wheat, etc.) and its alcohol content. What I didn't like: It is overpriced a touch. I knew I was in trouble before we went though because the online menu did not have any prices. I did however know what it means and expected some lofty dollar signs. I wanted to do something special with my wife and that's what mattered. Always worth it to see her smile. I caution you though that if you are looking for a full dinner with drinks and you are prone to buyers remorse I would save the Yard House for after dinner beer tasting as we will most likely do. I touched on how good the server was of the bat. That didn't last long. The place filled up fast after we were seated and he was saddled with a very large party. His check backs were very long in between and when it came time to ask for the check it took forever. It also took a long time to have our drinks served after they were ordered. We were more than ready to leave and we were occupying a large booth with just the two of us. This was unfair to the people waiting to be seated. He swooped in at one point to bus my empty glass and avoided eye contact though I tried to ask for the check. I eventually had to ask another server for the check and the manager brought it to us and took care of it. All and all it was a pleasant experience and nice change of pace. Walked off the meal at Smale Park and tried the new bench swings looking over the river. read more

Went with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. Took forever to get a table....about 2 hours. Pretty crazy. Food was pretty good. 3 stars because the waitress brought out a birthday treat on her own accord and CHARGED US FOR IT!! lol I thought that was tacky and hilarious! They thanks Yardhouse we just spent hundreds of dollars while drink for several hours and enjoying dinner! read more

Had my birthday dinner here. Everyone's food was excellent, the server was wonderful and the atmosphere was hip and friendly. Great all around! read more

I normally hate vegetarian imitations of real food, but their fake chicken worked great on their pizzas and boneless "wings." Go there for half-priced appetizers and enjoy a yard of beer! read more

Went with friend today before heading to Bengals Training Camp. Building and atmosphere is great. Great views. I had the blackened swordfish tacos and they were very good...a little salty but food was very good quality for $12. Server recommended a good brew to pair with the meal and glad she did as I couldn't make my mind up from the 160 plus choices. Highly recommend checking it out. I'll be going back for sure. I've got 159 more beers to try. read more

Cool atmosphere when you can actually get in. Fairly expensive for so-so food. We had the queso dip, carnitas taco, swordfish taco and the pepperjack burger. Lots of beer on tap, so pretty overwhelming so I ordered a margarita. $9.50 for basically a glass of ice. Prob won't go back read more

If your looking to drink some brews, this is the place to go! Great atmosphere (enough room even on game day), great views from the patio, TVs galore, and the food is not too shabby. There are over 140 beers on tap, if you are feeling adventurous, tell the bartender a number between 1 and 140. A great way to try some random beers, and may find a new favorite. Also, have a rotational seasonal beer selection. read more

Good food and service. Very noisy when crowded. This place has an unbelievable selection of beers on tap...

This was my first time at a Yard House. Food was good, everything was very fresh. Prices didn't seem too unreasonable. Extensive selection at bar. Within a 2 minute walk from Roebling Bridge and Great American Ball Park. Our server wasn't the friendliest but the other employees who assisted us were all very accommodating. read more

When you're located in an entertainment district with tens of thousands of people at your front door, you're going to get slammed and make mistakes. But it's all about how you react to it to and take care of customers. Kudos to the Yard House Management Crew for making it right after our drink orders were missed and keeping loyal customers for future Bengals games. Who Dey! read more

Gorgeous venue. Very rustic and the hours are great (especially for tourists like me). However, the waiter told us that 2/3 entrees we ordered were 86ed. But then came back and said they had "1 more" on separate occasions. I would prefer you check first so that I don't have to continue to mentally prepare for another dish. My only complain. Food was great and service was quick. read more

Horrible slow service here. This is the second time in 3 months and it was awful again. Way under staffed. Food and drinks all lukewarm. Never coming back. There was a major Bengals game tonight and it wasn't a surprise. Be prepared! read more

I have been here a couple times and everything is great! Food, drinks, atmosphere, service, bathrooms. The fact that this restaurant doesn't have at least a solid total 4 out of 5 stars must just be the reflection that it is Cincinnati and we have high expectations for restaurants as has been glaringly obvious when I visit other cities and states who absolutely pale in comparison to the quality that Cincinnati offers, even on just a basic level. read more

Terry and I ate there for the first time this evening and it was good! I had the Cubano & truffle fries.. Terry enjoyed fried cheese curds and Mac&Cheese.. Delicious. And the server was a Delight, just a fun, relaxing evening sitting on the deck overlooking the river... Thank You!! read more

Great place for a beer. Solid food, great atmosphere, sweet view of the river and Nick went above and beyond. I'll be back soon.

I love this place! Great atmosphere, excellent service, and the food was delicious. I had the southern fried chicken, and everything, including all sides, were absolutely wonderful. It's in a great location and we really enjoyed our views of the river at sunset. It's a great place to take out of towers. I can't wait to try it again. read more

We have visited the yard house several times and have mostly had a good experience. The beer list is amazing and the food is pretty good. Just be prepared to wait for your food for exorbitant amount of time. During our last visit it took us 45mins to receive our order. Overall: great place to stop in for a beer prior to the game if you are into craft beer. read more

Always have a really great time here. So many awesome beers to choose from, as well as a great cocktail menu. My friends and I had a big group of people and the managers were really accommodating to us the whole time we were there. It got too cold to sit outside, so they tried their hardest to find a table big enough for us inside. Always really great servers that know what they're doing and they have delicious food. read more

Stopped in after visiting the Underground Railroad museum. Pros: Great location (get a view table if you can), great patio, and the food is delish. Lively atmosphere with great music and lots of TVs. Cons: our waitress was friendly but slow. When she did show up she was good...except for the fact that she had a hard time finding silverware for us. Food arrives, no silverware, then brought back 2 sets, but there were three of us. Took another 5 minutes for that..,wtf? Definitely unorganized. Come on people, you can do better than that! I wish I had her name so I could recommend management provide more training (dark hair, maybe a Brooklyn accent?) If I'm in Cincinnati again, will probably give it another try. read more

Incredible burgers with an amazing draft selection. I had the avocado burger and was quite impressed. The fries are uniquely thin but still great! read more

Mammoth place with tons of tvs and beers. This is one of those fringe beer/dbag hang out spots. They do have some good beer like Head Hunter and Jackie O's. However, for almost a 100 beers on tap there were 3 I would order, and almost all you can get at any bar in America. It is what it is, a place to drink beer close to the stadium's. The food was a huge letdown. Not only did all of our food come out cold, but it came out cold twice. They comped us but come on. The fries were decent. The truffle fries a bit messy. The taco's were boring, except for the vampire. This place is a skip, especially at the really expensive prices. $7 for most pints, yikes in cheap Cincy. read more

I came in with a group of 27, and they were able to accommodate us. We had excellent service, and the food was fantastic!

This restaurant was simply legit. I ordered the spicy tuna roll, and was expecting just a normal sushi roll wrapped in seaweed paper. What I got was a huge cylinder of goodness with the perfect amount of spiciness, cucumber, avocado, seared tuna, and beans mixed in. It was wonderful and very filling. Our waiter was precise and personable. The environment was slick and modern with decent back round music. I wanna go back! Also, amazing beer selection. I had the Paulaner Oktoberfest on draft. YUM. read more

The bar is the place to go in this place. They always have enough bartenders which is important because of how huge the wrap-around bar is. The environment is great and it has a great view of the Bengals stadium and Newport from the outdoor patio. The appetizers are great, especially the onion ring tower and the truffle fries. The only negative things I have are the main courses. I have tried many things and can't seem to find one thing I would return for over and over again. They also don't play game day audio for the Bengals game during the season, which is a huge turn-off especially being a resident of Downtown Cincinnati and having a view of the stadium right outside the restaurant. Otherwise, the service is great (especially for how busy it gets on the weekends) and the beer and wine selection is on point. read more

Great place. Waitress Jessica H and her waitress in training (Shauna) was absolutely the best there is. Great food. Brussels sprouts and potatoes was great along with the onion rings. Carnitas tacos was excellent and the jambalaya was also good. read more

Slow and overall bad. It was all star weekend but they had two expos and food was cold and sub-par.

Love this place! Jambalaya is some of the best I've had anywhere including house of blues. Incredible beer selection and lots of great entrees, hard to go wrong with much on the menu! read more

Excellent menu great beer selection... love the location great for Reds games and Bengals games!

The tacos were great. I got them based on reviews and they didn't disappoint. The turkey pot pie was HUGE!! Literally enough for 2-3 people. 140 beers on tap - you can try so many that aren't available other places. A lot of questionable reviews for this place but I think it's a solid choice.. I will go back when in Cincinnati. read more

Food was good. Not great. Service was good. But what bothered me was the empty tables while people were lined up waiting to be seated . I viewed multiple empty tables for long periods of times while people we waiting a half hour for tables. As I was leaving a couple waiting in line stated " let's get out of here, we have been waiting a half hour and we are not even close to being seated. I informed them that there was about 20 empty tables. They were understandably upset. There is a major problem at this restaurant in expediting customers. This happened to me two years ago on my last visit as I waited for 20 minutes and noted a half empty restaurant. This is a easy fix with training and good management but it has not been fixed inthe last two years read more

There's a line in a Tom Waits song...'and you can't find your waitress...with a geiger counter'....that's about this place. after everyone else was done with everything else, and we wanted to get our check, but we'd ordered ice cream for the child in our group almost 1/2 hour earlier, a guy brings out the ice cream. No spoon. There was only one spoon on the table, and it was covered with macaroni cheese, but it was easier and quicker to clean it than to find anyone. Then the manager finally brought us our check (we'd seen our server a few times out of the corner of our eyes, but nowhere near our table), and took my credit card, and apparantly gave it to another server, who gave it to aNOTHer server, who gave it to the wrong table, and it took them forever to find my credit card. It's been through so many hands, I think I need to cancel it. After all that, they didn't house a damn thing. The last time I stiffed a server, my son hadn't been born yet. He's 32. (food was ok, except for the flavorless 'jasmine rice', which was just very bland white rice). read more

I've loved Yard House since the first time we went 7 or 8 years ago. I am a vegetarian and they don't only have vegetarian options, but they have vegetarian meat options. The food is always amazing and filling. I have never written a review for Yard House but I really felt compelled to write a review and tell you how helpful one of the staff was. Her name was Yolanda and I believe she may have been a hostess. I was there with my two children (ages 2 and 4) on a very busy weekend. It was right after the pride parade and it was crazy in the Yard House. Yolanda sat us and was so kind to my fussy kids (we waited an hour)... and she was so gracious and checked on us a few times. Lunch was great and so was our server. After lunch I had to take both kids to the bathroom, I got lost with the commotion and now two tired children. She escorted us back. After leaving the restaurant (she helped us with our double stroller) and we were on our way... I realized i forgot my phone! I had to go back in. And guess who assisted me in finding the phone, you guessed it, Yolanda. She was so helpful to a mother who was overwhelmed with her two rowdy children and went far beyond what she had to do. I will continue to go back and I hope to see Yolanda again. She was amazing. :) read more

Over the last 2 years we have been here several times. We were always impressed with the service, atmosphere, and quality of food. However, sadly this last visit has us questioning if we'd ever return. The service was just ok, acceptable, but not up to par with what we had come to expect from Yard House. The food was the most disappointing part. I quietly wasn't loving my meal, not wanting to ruin the experience for the others with us (we were a party of 7), but eventually it came up that many of us weren't impressed. It was not the quality and greatness we had during our previous visits. Multiple dishes were underwhelming - pasta, grilled chicken, fries, and 3 different desserts. The strawberry shortcake was weird, it was made with a biscuit like you'd get with breakfast. The bathrooms had water coolers in them. Like the big Gatorade ones that sports teams have on the sidelines. They were sitting in the sinks, not sure what was going on there. We really did have outstanding 5 star experiences the first 3 times we came here, so I'm not sure if there is new management, or new staff? read more

We've enjoyed yard house for years but never again. A cook apparently forgot about my burger, left it on the grill until it was a black hard brick, then covered it with cheese and sent it out. The server didnt hesitate when i instantly returned it; he knew it was garbage and he served it anyway. Lots of other good places to go in Cincinnati with much higher standards read more

Came in well before 11:30, seated but never got a server on Wednesday. Sat for over 45 minutes with NO SERVICE AT ALL.

Went for dinner last night with three friends. We expected the place to be packed but we were seated immediately. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. When our waiter came for our drink order he was friendly, personable, and eat to talk to. It took us a little while to get our beverages, but when he came back he helped guide us through the extensive menu. He was very helpful and knowledgable about the food that was listed. After we ordered our food however, our waiter went missing in action. At one point we sat for ten to fifteen minutes with empty glasses.... that's breaking the number one rule of service. I would not have been bothered by it as much if they were busy, but as I excused myself to the restroom I noticed that less than half the restaurant was full. We had the cheese curds as an appetizer which came out quickly and were delicious (it's hard to mess up deep-fried cheese). It took us about forty five minutes to get our entrees. When my pasta arrived it was cold on the top and sides so I only ate the middle. It was good, but a little bland. I never asked to have it heated up because our waiter never asked how our food was tasting, and even if he had I was worried it would take me too long to get my food back from the kitchen. Our waiter did ask to box my uneaten food up for me however, which I thought was polite. My date got the truffle fries (fries tossed in truffle butter, Parmesan cheese, and herbs) as a side which were very interesting and worth the try. One of the friends we joined for dinner got the rib-eye steak which she raved about. Otherwise, the food was tasty but boring, and while you got large portions it was a little over-priced. Over all we had an average experience. It would have been more enjoyable with a more attentive server (someone who check back every fifteen to twenty minutes versus being checked on three times in the hour and a half we were there) and warm food. This restaurant seems like it would be a great time if you want to go out and drink. They have 64oz beers with over fifty beers on draft. Their mixed drinks all looked absolutely delicious, and they had a good wine selection. I will be back to sit at the bar, but I'm not sure about going back for a meal. read more

Great service, great food and lots of vegetarian options! As a vegetarian, it was exciting to see how they used Gardein products as meat substitutes for some of their meals. There was also a large selection for drinks. Would definitely come back here again. read more

My family and I went to the Yard House before the Reds Game on Sunday (around noon) and got right in and seated right away, 3 adults and 2 kids (1 kid in a high chair). I was shocked that we were able to sit right down, and even more surprised when I saw how gigantic this place is!! The hostesses were so friendly, very accommodating, and one stood and talked to us, at our table, for at least 5 minutes, answering questions, giving suggestions, and being just super-friendly! The menu is a little intimidating... I expected there to be a gargantuan beer selection, but there are so many food offerings as well! And when I say food offerings, don't get me wrong, I am talking about gourmet items, unique items, yummy-sounding items - it was so hard for our little group to make selections because it all just sounded so good! Our waitress, Kadie, was so knowledgeable about the menu and the beer, and really helped to guide us into our selections without feeling rushed or pressured. Kadie really took so much time talking to us about the menu and the beer - it was incredible! I finally settled on the (Mac + Cheese)2, and let me tell you - WOW!! I know, at 1st you think, really, Mac& Cheese, but once you taste this yumminess, you will understand! Noodles, cheese, chicken, mushrooms, bacon, truffle oil.... YUMMY! Our table also got the Truffle Fries which we managed to basically fight over because they were so awesome! We got a kid's fish & chips & my 6-year-old ate everything on his plate, so it had to be great, right!?! Also ordered was the Cuban Roast Pork Dip & the BBQ Bacon Cheddar Burger. We Loved everything that they put at our table! Beers... Wow, what a selection! There are so many to choose from that it seems a little overwhelming at 1st. But Kadie really helped to narrow down choices. We even had a manager come over to help in some explanations and choices, and let us taste a couple of the beers, so we could better decide! So, definitely don't be shy about asking questions and having faith in the staff that they can guide you to your perfect beer! I noticed that the restaurant is listed at Not Kid Friendly in the description - Wrong!! I went there with my family, including a 6-year-old, and a 2-year-old, and it was perfectly fine! They have high-chairs & boosters & kids' menus. The music and ambient noise is loud enough to drown out any whining or screaming that may come out of the kids' mouths, and the kids' meals were reasonably priced, and there were a number of things for them to choose from. So, don't fret about bringing your kids to this place for lunch or dinner, it is totally ok. In all, we had a wonderful experience upon entering the restaurant, had some of the best service I can recall, ate such yummy food, that I contemplated not going to the Reds game & hanging out 'till dinner!! had relatively reasonable prices, treated my kids great, was clean, very open... I cannot say enough good things about this place! This will definitely be my new go-to when I'm downtown!!! read more
