Great location and cool view. Good food and huge portions. Menu was a little bit ambitious for the level of execution.

Nice atmosphere nice patio and view employees are nice So I gave a 3 based off that ribeye steak was tough they made it twice still tough the waitress took off my tab read more

I love every food dish I've ever ordered from here, and their draft beer selection is legendary. A tad overpriced but food is high quality. So why 4 stars (and I should rate lower..)? Well, I made a reservation/call-ahead 30 minutes in advance and they cancelled it after 15...they failed to mention their policy on the phone when I said I'd be there in 30 minutes, and left when I arrived with a cancelled reservation and an hour wait. Didn't appreciate having to leave a restaurant with assumed reservations and employees didn't seem to care. read more

I absolutely love this place. I get their lettuce wraps as an app and pepper crusted filet. I love the selection of drinks they have, if you're a beer lover, this is your place! read more

Great steak! Our waiter Antwan was awesome. Nice atmosphere and tons of beer to pick from.

Not a great experience today...the service was EXTREMELY slow and when we got our order, 60 mins later, it looked like it was sitting under the heat lamps for 40 mins. Not great with 2 kids under 5. read more

Go for the Beer, and stay for the beer-ONLY! Like a fellow reviewer below mentioned, this is the place to go to enjoy a wide selection of beers before going out. If you are looking for appetizers to go with that lovely 1/2 yard of delectable liquid, then snag an order of nachos, calamari, or wings. BUT if you are looking for to enjoy a meal with your beer, then go some where else. I have been to the Yard House THREE times since they have opened, once at their grand opening, another before a reds game with co workers, and last night for a birthday celebration. I must say The Yard House really put on a great show for their grand opening celebration offering hors d'oeuvre sized meals that allowed patrons to sample their highlighted house specialties. I really enjoyed their beer selection and thought this was going to be a really successful place that would make it to my favorites list so I thought for surely my coworkers and I could go before a reds game and get a lunch with no problem... boy was I wrong. We went on a Wednesday before the Cubs vs Reds baseball game at noon. With reservations, we received our table for 8 in about 10 minutes. As we were seated we noticed the booth we were sat at was really only made for 6 people - not 8, but we managed to fit comfortably enough without being on top of each other's laps. We all ordered a beverage, and being there before I over looked this minor seating issue and stuck with my guns that this place was going to exceed my expectations. I ordered a YoungBerry Chocolate - a house blend of beers, from our waitress and we ordered their nachos and wings for an appetizer. 20 minutes went by without a word from our waitress and drinks, finally after a total of 25-30 minutes our waitress returned with our drinks and to get out lunch order, but my beverage was not the blend I had asked for. I told our waitress (who mind you seemed new) she took it back and about 15 minutes later a different waitress brought me a drink that still wasn't correct, I gave up at this point and just drank what was given to me because by this time our appetizers were in front of us. We finished off the appetizers and enjoyed one another's company and started wondering where our food was- it was getting close to the start of the game. Our waitress kept walking by without saying anything and seemed more interested in the booth of 4 boys than asking if we needed anything. After about an hour of waiting on our food we finally were delivered cold, under cooked, and soggy meals. I understand that it was busy and that it is the lunch hour, but come on. I'm not sure if it was our waitress's fault of forgetting to pick up our order or the kitchens fault for being behind on orders, or a combo, but this was one of the worst experiences I have had in a long time at a restaurant. For the third time, I wanted to give Yard House one last chance to redeem themselves on their service side, so I recommended to go there for a birthday celebration for my boyfriend and a friend last night. We arrived around 7:30 pm and put in a table for 10 knowing some friends would stop by for a drink and not order food later on. The wait was only an hour and 15 minutes- not bad. Just wish they would allow for parties of ten or more to be able to make a reservation (their focus must really be on the beer aspect only). We ordered a few beers and waited for our table. After being sat, our waitress came and told us it was a good thing we ordered drinks ahead of time (What?!? Apparently, and this did happen, it takes about 20 minutes to be served a drink when you are sat- really bizarre, Moerlien does a better job then that). We ordered our food of salads, burgers, steak, pizza, and jambalaya. After an hour we were finally served, some friends came whom we warned that it would take about an hour to get food and they just ordered drinks. My burger and a few others who ordered them were under cooked, but manageable enough to eat with only cheese and no dressings like lettuce, onion, tomato which were listed on the menu (seriously how hard is that to put that stuff on a plate and how do you forget that- where was the expediter before sending this out?) My boyfriends pizza was fine, and the salads were okay, but the filet that was ordered medium rare came out completely done. It was reordered and was delivered about 45 minutes after everyone was done eating and was still over cooked. My friend said that he didn't want it anymore and munched on some of our fries. So as I said before, it appears their focus is purely on the fact they have 160 kegs on tap and not their food. I do not see this place holding much more success over the years as a restaurant and will be forever seen in my eyes as a place to only get beer at- but then why would I go there, when I could go to The Party Source to get the same selection at half the cost and make my own food? read more

Last night, I helped my co-worker & friend celebrate at her birthday dinner at the Yard House. All started out well, and our server, Alex, was fantastic. About 25 minutes after waiting on a few people to get there, I ordered a Kale Caesar salad, water, and a cherry limeade (alcoholic beverage). I drank a little less than half of the cherry limeade, a lot of the water, and ate about half of the salad (which was a dinner entrée portion, per their mistake). For dinner, I ordered the turkey burger and truffle fries, but I was so stuffed from the salad that I ate none of the sandwich, and only some of the fries. Around 30 minutes later, while still at the restaurant, I was puking my guts out. I vomited a total of 3 times at the restaurant; and, sorry to be graphic, but each time it was more and more of the salad I had consumed there. The final time I vomited was right after paying my bill. I requested to speak to the manager about it, and said, "Hey, I'm not trying to get a comped meal here, but you may want to investigate what's going on with the salad tonight, because I was not sick prior to coming here, and after eating the Kale Caesar salad, I have been vomiting and now feel sick to my stomach." With my co-workers as witnesses, the following occurred: Manager's reply was, "You're the first person today to get sick after eating that. We'll look into it but how much have you had to drink tonight?" I was confused by his question, because I wasn't slurring my words; I wasn't stumbling; I wasn't being boisterous or displaying any other behaviors typical of a drunk. I simply felt awful. I said, "Well no, you can see the cherry limeade that you all served me right there- it isn't even nearly finished, and it's the only drink I've had tonight. Could there possibly have been something wrong with the drink? I'm still thinking it may be the salad though because honestly, that's what's been coming back up." He briskly replies, "Well some people have gluten sensitivities which cause reactions to various vodkas." I'm no heavy drinker, hell barely even a social drinker, but I've NEVER had a reaction to any vodkas, and I digest wheat, rye and other cereal grains just fine. Again I say, "I really think it was the salad. It's the only thing I ate." It made the most sense to me because this all fell within the time window for food poisoning, and it's quite possible that the greenery used just wasn't washed off good enough. As he began to shake his head, one of my co-workers stepped in and stated, "She's an RN, I think she knows what she's talking about here." And the manager then took my name and number and said he'd call to check on me tomorrow (today) and walked away. I wasn't very fond of his attitude while handling this, and my male co-worker also stated he felt offended at the line of questioning (and how the questions were being asked), but the waiter, Alex, was great. He brought me gingerale and bitters to settle my stomach, and seemed genuinely concerned over what was going on. I've eaten at the Yard House before and have never had this happen, and usually get good service. This time, I just think the manager could have handled the situation better (how you say things can be just as important as what you say). Edited to add- the manager didn't even offer to take the salad from the bill. Again, that wasn't my goal in speaking with him, but it would have been a nice gesture to show some dedication to customer service. I tipped our wonderful waiter over 20%, however, because he was that great! read more

Came here for an early lunch with friends and their kids. They have a storage closet where they let you park strollers. This restaurant is huge. I'm glad we were there early though, because by the time we left, it had filled up. We got a couple appetizers and burgers. Everything was good. The atmosphere was fun and the view is good (we were seated next to the windows looking towards the river. Our server was great, though we felt a little forgotten a couple times as our water glasses sat empty for a while. But, apart from that it was a good time. read more

We ventured in here after a Reds game as we figured A/C and open tables and were thrilled for an ice cold beer, some good grub and tv's to watch the game on everywhere. Plus, a bonus is they have those table top iPads where kids can play or you can order food. The menu is HUGE and there is definitely something for everyone. A short walk from many of the downtown hotels and a block away from the Reds stadium you are in the action of it all. There is indoor and outdoor seating so depending on the weather you are covered. I am going to assume that this place is crowded to the gills during game days and our chance timing of going during game time was the best. The kids menu was ideal for even the most picky eaters as well. Our server was extremely helpful, caught on to our easy-going style of brews, chill and food. She even brought our kids an extra side of fruits. However, a few things that I noticed worth mentioning. The kitchen service needs some help. We had 3 or 4 problems with our order...I honestly lost count and at one point I think I waved my white flag and just ain't the incorrectly prepared dish. Typically I'm not a big 'send food back' but I ordered a simple on the menu described salad and it was missing the majority of what's on it...a salad isn't hard. Also my daughter ordered buttered noodles and they brought something completely different. The staff that brought the orders out even acknowledge that the ticket said the correct order but the kitchen messed up. Now, I would understand the issues if it was extremely busy, but there was only a handful of tables in there at that point and most appeared to be leisurely enjoying the quiet and the game. Another point was I informed a server and manager that the ladies room was pretty unacceptable, like incredibly disgusting. I felt saying something was better than nothing at all. My assumption is after a big crowd is there and a restaurant experiences that quiet lull period of time, is when you take the opportunity to spruce up before the next wave. When I told the manager he simply said he would tell the hostess staff. I felt a thank you or a "I'm on it" response would be better than a manager saying he'd let someone else know. Overall, I was very pleased with their beer selection, food selection and the ability to meet everyones food wants and desires. The location is great too. I would just be prepared that the atmosphere at times may be lacking in some areas that you may expect from a chain establishment. read more

I come here mostly for the beer and the social aspect. They have over 100 brews on tap and usually have specials (you just have to ask). The servers aren't reliable for a good recommendation but they'll happily give you a sample of whatever you're going between to help make the decision easier. Foodwise, it's an upscale Houlihan's. Never been to Houlihan's? Houlihan's is an upscale TGIFriday's. You get the picture. read more

One our favorite places to go downtown as a family, as it's very kid friendly. Restaraunt is huge and loud, so it fits our family with 3 young children well. A TON of beer options on tap, with an additional rotating selection. I typcally ask for some tasters before deciding what to drink. The food menu is huge as well, which can turn into a problem when everything sounds so good. I have tried a variety of the apps and seem to order a different entree everytime. Everything has always been top notch. Only thing that has been so-so was the tortilla soup, which was outstanding the first time that I had it. Huge chunks of chicken and avocado. Every time that I have ordered it since my first visit, it has been overly salty. We have always had very good, prompt service dining with both small and very large groups. This place is a winner! read more

Lots of undelivered promise. The beer list and menu are impressive, as is the entire space. The service was awful. We waited a full 20 minutes just to get our drinks, another hour for the food to come out, and then they got the order wrong. The food is decent, but within an hour of leaving, two of us were sick. Not going back. read more

Went here before a Reds game the other day. We were able to snug a place at the bar. This place is geared towards the beer enthusiast so I try to avoid it. At my previous visit I had Thai chicken salad which was probably one of the best salads I've ever had. Spicy chicken, Thai noodles, coleslaw and spicy vinaigrette dressing. Well worth the ~$11. During my most recent visit I ordered truffle fries and shrimp ceviche. The chips that came with the ceviche was chewy and after I let the waitress know she brought out a new order along with wonton chips. She thought that I didn't like the crispiness of the chips but it was actually chewy and stale. She did take the ceviche off our check which I appreciated. Truffle fries were ok, wish they had some kind of dipping sauce other than ketchup. I am sure this place is good for beer but their menu is overwhelming and there is no focus. They have sushi, pasta, pizza, burgers, sandwiches etc. so I spent good 15 minutes just trying to figure out which kind of food to order. I appreciated it the lower calorie signs next to the items. read more

Help. Got here at 6:30. My 20 minute wait turned into 60 minutes. No problem we drank their over priced beers but then waited 45 minutes to order and now over 90 minutes after ordering, food came out cold and missing most of the sides. They have since resubmitted the meals. Haven't seen anything yet. So bad our waitress is pissed. Needless to say it's comical how bad it is. Beyond pissed! If they don't comp this meal my American express will! I'll stick to moerlein house! read more

Yard House - New American Near Me - Cincinnati, Ohio

Yard House- I'm trying really hard to like you. Seriously. I mean that. After two tries here, I can't say I'm going to be enthusiastic about going back anytime soon. Round 1: The first time we came here it was two weeks after you opened, on a Friday, with a party of 8. We waited for 3 hours, after dealing with a rude hostess, and had our parties sat at two different tables on opposite sides of the restaurant and you still charged us gratuity. Really? The NY steak sandwich I ordered wasn't available because you were out of steak. My substitute ahi tuna sandwich was just okay. I complained to you on twitter and you gave me a gift card to come back. So I did. Round 2- my husband and I came back on a Wednesday night. We were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait. Sat at the bar, ordered some beers, and the buzzer goes off. At the same time as 5 other parties. So we're all standing at the hostess station , buzzers going off, and she yells at us to get in a line and they'll take us one by one in order. Rude hostess AGAIN! We're given menus and told our waitress will be with us momentarily. Moments later, she walks over and asks us if we're ready to order yet. We ordered an appetizer and told her we were still looking. The appetizer came out hot and within record time. My husband and I both ordered burgers and fries and after a long wait, they eventually came out... cold. My burger was supposed to be cooked medium and it was well done with slight hints of char. So, Yard House, I really wanted to like you. But you've failed me twice and I don't plan on coming back until you do an attitude adjustment with your staff. read more

Great food and atmosphere. Try the Youngberry, very tasty. They allow everyone 2 free tasters which was nice. The beer menu is huge so be prepared to feel indecisive (that is definitely not a bad thing!) Parking at this location is a pain. If there is a Reds game and you don't want to pay, be prepared to walk. But, definitely worth the walk. read more

My boyfriend and I came here to eat after a Red's game to celebrate my brithday this past Saturday. I've been here many times, and this used to be my favorite place to eat in Cincy (as we're from Columbus). We ended up with 2 servers, and server #1 is the only reason this place isn't getting 1 star. First - I would like to say that it appears to me their prices have gone up since the last time I was here. Over $15 for mediocre fish and chips? Meh... However, I get it... You're in a prime location for Bengals and Reds games, so charge what you want - I'm sure building a restaurant right there wasn't cheap. Our experience was fine, but then our server had to leave about halfway through our meal, around 1am (we were told they close at 2 - and the game wasn't over until after 11 - so we still had plenty of time. The new waiter was incredibly rude, and kept coming over and asking if we were ready for the check. I told him we're thinking we might be getting another drink once we finish these so not yet. He rolled his eyes, and looked at his watch and said - well just so you know, last call is in 30 minutes. Really dude? I can definitely say we will not be back. We spent $100, and I feel like I get better service at a drive thru. read more

My friends and I went up for graduation from NKU/Chase College of Law last Friday. We did some research and decided to try out Yard House for lunch. The weather was perfect and we asked to be seated on the patio, our only complaint is we would've enjoyed having the screens open to enjoy the weather. Our server, Lindsey, went above and beyond throughout our entire visit. Her food and drink recommendations were all great and we will recommend it to anyone who ask and can't wait to come back again. read more

Now, the only reason I am not giving a full 5-star rating is because I only have appetizers. So I cannot fully rate them. However, the place is amazing. From the moment you walk in it is an experience. The space is spectacular. They also have over 130 choices of beer. I tried the Guacamole & Chips and a chicken tinga taco. I came here on a Wednesday night; however, the Reds were playing at home and it was unseasonably warm (yea, you all know which Wednesday night I'm talking about), so I'm sure this place was busier than usual, especially after the game. We only came for drinks, so I can't talk about the food, but I have a strong suspicion I'll be back in the near future to check the food out, too. The beer selection here is ridiculous; I have never seen so many beers on tap in my entire life and they have a lot of my faves. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive (almost excessively so, but they stayed just shy of annoying) and the place itself looks pretty cool. Yard House is laid out much like other establishments at The Banks (big, open spaces, covered patios/decks looking over the river, etc). I will definitely be coming back to try their food soon. read more

I have walked in to the Yard House two times. The first time was right before a REds game and I walked immediately back out after I saw the mad house that was Yard House. The second time was for a work lunch and my experience was much better. I was surprised on this occasion how big Yard house was. There is a massive wrap-around bar in the middle surrounded by tables and a huge outdoor patio. Wherever you sit you have great views of at least a few TVs. The patio honestly was awesome as it was not crowded and perfect weather. The menu at Yard House is definitely a little overwhelming. Sandwiches, Burgers, Tacos, Pizza, salads all have sections on the menu with 10 or so options under each. The beer and alcohol selection is very impressive. There is a huge and well-displayed variety of draft beers and several sizes you can choose from, the largest being a "half yard." For lunch, I ordered the blackened Tuna burger with a side citrus soy salad. The salad was good although the dressing could have had a little more citrus and a little less soy. The tuna burger was also good and had a lot of flavor. It was served with lettuce, tomato, onion, and long, thin pickle slices (bonus points). I can understand people's frustration when this place gets packed (which it probably is most of the time), but for lunch is was great. I will definitely be back for dinner sometime so I can start making a dent in that draft beer selection. read more

Yards of beer...I am already a fan. This place has a great location and atmophere. The food is pretty good but it is not the selling point. Over 100 beers on tap my word! I love to go down there for drinks and apps with friends but the only problem is EVERYONE else seems to like doing the same. It is always busy and has a long wait most weekend nights. Go early and plan ahead. I do wish they had a dedicated line at the bar to order beers while you stand around waiting for your table. They do let you order but you have to find a spot at the bar where you can get a bartenders attention. read more

A couple of things happen at the Yard House that made this a night I would like to forget. First, parking is horrible. There is not place to park and I had to pay $12 to valet my car. Next, when my group walked into Yard House, the greeter start shouting and jumping around to greet us. He was giving us high 5's and making a scene that was over the top. When we finally got to our table, the waiter provided slow service (the place was not busy). And to top it off, the mirco-beer was not good and the food was cold. I doubt if I would visit this place again. The location is prime and the delivery of service was poor. read more
