We've been here multiple times and have never had anything less than fabulous. We especially love the chicken tacos as an appetizer - huge portion and very tasty! I know this is a chain but what's wrong with that? The novelty of the 1/2 yard glass is great but the enjoyment doesn't stop there. There are soooo many beer options and they do a great job of organizing their menu from light to dark while doing a good job of categorizing as well. You can find a great selection of local beers which is advantageous if you are looking for a one stop shop to get your local microbrew footing. I'm going to start by saying the service was amazing. Our server, Rocky, was fun, personable and very knowledgable about the menu. That being said, I would not order a burger from Yard House especially if you like them cooked any other way but well done. I ordered the surf & turf burger medium. My first burger came back well done and they offered to re-fire it. My second burger came back after everyone in my party had finished their meals, 15-20 minutes later, well done again. I didn't want to hold my entire party up even more so I ordered another item off the menu...the stacked enchiladas (which I highly recommend). The managers took care of my meal, but I still feel horrible that everyone at dinner had to wait on me (over 45 minutes after they were finished when my final dish came back wrapped to go). I was in here last night with my girlfriends after a wedding. We wanted some late night good food. Our waitress informs us we cannot consume any alcohol because we already seem intoxicated. Mind you one of us had stayed completely sober the whole night to be able to drive. We were not loud, rude or obnoxious we simply ordered drinks and food. We asked for a manager and he couldn't even form a proper sentence as to why this was happening and seemed uncomfortable with the confrontation. I'm just not impressed with this place. I've been here four times now, and every time is very mediocre. The food is always decent, the waiter is always fine, but that's about it. I wouldn't go back if it was my choice, but it's fine to go out for a team lunch or something. The last time we went there was for lunch. Visited for my second time last night. First time was just beers and I was very impressed with the service and staff knowledge of beers I knew I wanted to come back. Tried out their food, and my burger was perfectly cooked. The BBQ Bacon burger comes with a bbq rum sauce which was spectacular! A suggestion I have is to have a separate beer menu for the people who want to drink more than a few beers. This place has a lot on draft, and they rotate taps pretty often. Putting a smaller print beer menu at the tables might persuade customers to make more beer purchases instead of having to bring their big menu back and forth to the table. Just a thought. Price - $$ Huge collection of beer's, amazing appetizers and best entries. Cocktails are good too.Especially pomegranate margarita. Came here to watch a little football and have a beer on a Monday night. Enormous restaurant, and pretty much entirely empty - seated right away. Service was excellent, very attentive, helpful with the massive beer list as well. Props on the beers - something worth coming here for. Atmosphere wasn't bad, the place is huge, so it seemed a bit impersonal, but with lots of TV's and beers, it's exactly what you think it is. Food was pretty awful and slow. We were there for nearly 2 hours, and with an empty restaurant (and ordering apps and the main course at the same time), that was certainly unexpected. Way too many items to be good at anything, and it showed. Nachos were skimpy, a little soggy and lacked good flavor. The other appetizer was so good I don't remember what it was - server left it there through the whole meal because we ate almost none of it. I had the gorgonzola burger - it was overcooked, clear that the cheese was old, and the bun was stale and flavorless. None of my dining companions were overly impressed, though none was as disappointed as I was. Service saved this place from a 1 star rating. This was my third visit. Both previous visits were large groups and I have to say, the staff got the orders right, the food was hot, and we did not have to go thirsty either time. Last night was our wedding anniversary. Our server was outstanding- friendly, knew the menu, and was efficient. The menu has a wide array of styles and flavors while not overwhelming you with too many choices. The food came out quick and was ridiculously delicious. The design of this building is open with great downtown views on one side and cozy and intimate on the other. In the middle is a huge island bar with about 100 TV's. This place somehow manages to offer something for everyone, Especially if you love beer. I would give this place 5 stars but for the prices. I'm sure they are short staffed, but if you have that many people trying to go there, figure it out! Reserved a party of ten the day before for a birthday dinner for my wife. We arrived and were seated within five minutes, so that was good. We waited over an hour to get a second beverage. Service is horribly slow. The waitress was sweet and kind. I could tell the errors were not her fault. I ordered a $28 ribeye medium, it arrived well done and cold. Everything was cold. Every meal was cold. I had high hopes for this place. It was our first time here. It was a disappointment and a let down...at least their beer was really good. I got their blonde beer, really good. They "fixed" each plate as best as they could. Originally was a two star review...changed to a three because they fixed the errors and said it was all free, and they tried to fix everything. There were a lot of staff there...unfortunately they were just hanging out instead of working, you could see them hanging out in groups at the bar or filming each other with their phones. This wouldn't be nearly as annoying if i didn't have to wait 40 minutes for a to-go box and a check....and another 20 to sign the check( when I could clearly see her talking with others staff). We've been sitting here for 30 mins with no service what so ever and it took and hour and a half to get 2 orders of chicken tenders...... like wtf. We went before a Reds game last week. Pro: Fantastic location, patio with beautiful views of the Suspension Bridge and Paul Brown stadium, 140+ beers on draft, lots of staff, good-to-great food which is beautifully presented, fantastic mixed drinks (highly recommend the Dark & Stormy with house-made ginger beer!), relaxing atmostphere, heated patio. Con: Slow waitress, incorrect items being delivered to the table, waitress went MIA for a while, had to grab other staff to get items corrected & then had somewhat of a wait to get the correct items. Pricey even though we did happy hour - watch your bill or have your sober friend keep you & your budget in line! ;) It's a new business. I think if they work on their staff issues by enforcing communication between staff and also to the customer, as well as accuracy, then this will generate lots of 5 star reviews!! This place has a large selection of beer. Quite a variety as well. They allow samples before ordering which is a great. Biggest issue, they had 2 bartenders, 1 male, 1 female, the male walked by us at least 3 times and never even looked our way. About 3-5 minutes later the female came over and mentioned that she thought the other guy had helped us. She did have a few recommendations so that was good. We ordered. After done with the first my husbands cup sat empty for a while before a third guy finally came over. We both ordered 1 more but left due to lack of service. We're staying at AC Marriott at the banks in downtown Cincinnati on a business trip. Yard House is only a couple blocks away. My college wanted to go there. Although I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants, I didn't want to act too picky, so we went. Their menu is very long with a good variety of food, from edamame, ahi tuna, to salad, fried chicken, and even soy meat substitutes. They're definitely trying to appeal to everyone. They also have a good drink menu, not a huge beer list, but lots of cocktails too, again, everyone can find what they want. I had Nashville spicy chicken with sweet potato pancakes. It was very good. The fried chicken was light with great crunchy crust, paired well with the hot sauce. Sweet potato pancake was fluffy. My college had grilled salmon on top of quinoa and cauliflower, and he said it was very good. I give it four stars because if you're going with a large group of people, I'm pretty sure everybody will be satisfied. read more

This was my second or third time at Yardhouse. We went for lunch and there happened to be a Xavier alumni watch party for the basketball game so it was unusually busy. Usually the food is really good, but today the food came out cold and we were able to tell it had been sitting for a long time. The waitress and manager were both very understanding about our complaint about the cold food. We ended up getting all of our meals for free. Despite it being extra busy and cold food the customer service was great. read more

That being said, the food is a mish mosh of everything, which being right next to the ball park and football stadium I get. However, I prefer a much more condensed, honed in menu. If you're going to be a taco joint, be a taco joint. If you're going to be a burger joint be a burger joint. Don't sell me an all american burger, Korean taco and sushi all on the same menu... too much. If you are heading to a game and want a place to take in our beautiful city and get a baller selection of beer, this is your place! The first time we went, we ordered the mixed Tacos, the mac and cheese, and clamchowder. The clamchowder was good; I was talked into the mac n cheese by the waitress and am not really a big fan of it generally. That may have something to do with the fact that I didnt enjoy it much. The tacos were OK. The second time we ordered margherita pizza and the tuna burger. The pizza was OK and so was the burger; the salad that came with the burger was inedible. I used to LOVE going here. Unfortunately the last few times I've gone I've been disappointed with my food. Most recently I took my parents here when they were visiting from out of town so they could see the city. Every time I come I order the hot and spicy edamame. This time they were extra spicy! There were so many chile flakes that my lips were numb and we were sweating! My dad tried one and couldn't even eat the whole pod. It seemed like that set the pace for the rest of the meal. I ordered the ribeye, which I have had in the past, but it was so dry and tough with truffle fries. I ate about 3 bites and couldn't eat anymore. The waiter never came back to check on how things were so I never sent it back. The fries were covered in globs of cheese and parsley. I had probably 3 tablespoons of cheese that I scooped off. It looked like when you don't realize the shaker top is loose on your seasoning and then you dump it all on by accident, except no one tried to remove any. My mom got the jambalaya and was disappointed that it only came with two shrimp. I'm sure she wasn't cheated on her shrimp and that this is the norm for the dish, but it was still a little surprising based on what she had expected. I hope that this was just an off night. I will try one more time, but if things aren't better then I don't think I will be going back here. read more

We had the 8oz steaks and it was awful. I usually eat my steak medium rare but this came out barley cooked and cold. The steak had no flavor. I drowned mine in the gravy provided for the veggies. We had to send them back to get cooked again. They brought us out our same steaks but a little tougher because they were cooked then cooked again. It's almost like they were thrown in a microwave to be reheated. The mash potatoes were great but the veggies were undercooked. The waitress was awesome! read more

I love the atmosphere for it - usually filled with sports fans rocking their jerseys or other things, love the beer choices especially JackieOs, and I LOVE the wings ! I've been twice, and have observed/experienced the same thing on both occasions--an exceedingly large, far too busy, over-priced establishment with food that is mediocre in quality and service that is fine in terms of friendliness, but way too slow. Second time at the Yard House, first time for lunch. I have to say it is a great looking place, but the lunch was just ok. I had a burger (comes with some of the smallest fries I have ever seen) and a water. With tip I was at close to $18. Wow, I know real estate at the Banks is expensive, but that was steep. If I come back it will be for beer (huge selection) and appetizers only. The food prices are crazy expensive. While our waitress was fine. It was not like the service was fantastic. It was just ok. Did I mention the fries are so small that you basically have no choice but to use your fork to eat them. I will say there are a lot of them. read more

The Blackberry smash drink was also made to perfection. We waited 25 min for a table on a busy festival Friday night. Not bad. Our food wait time was about 20 minutes. Total bill for 2 dinners, a soft drink, and 2 alcoholic beverages, 53$ plus tip. Definitely worth a date night dinner for our 13th wedding anniversary. The server was on her first ever shift and did amazingly. Even helped recommend her favorite foods from eating there herself. I would definitely go back. Meh. We had an hour and a half wait (no time estimates on weekends, else we would not have stayed) before a Red's game, which is somewhat understandable because it was a pretty large group. Beer selection was actually phenomenal, though impossible to navigate at the bar and almost harder to find a bartender who wasn't too busy to take your order. Once we were seated, we were met with a friendly but terribly rushed waitress! Poor thing. We ordered several drinks and overpriced appetizers, which were piping hot and delicious. So we're staying in town for the weekend and ordered Yard house for dinner. August 2020 - prime Covid times so we were trying to be safe and ordered in instead of going out. We ordered through Yelp/GrubHub. The food came in around an hour but instead of having it brought to our room door, the food was dropped off at the outside door of the hotel. No call. No text telling us it had arrived. The only reason I knew it was here is because the hotel clerk at the front desk called to see if it was our order, as it had my name on it. The delivery person didn't say one word to us or the front desk. The hotel clerk said that the person looked like they were very unprofessional and wore no mask and didn't look "safe". Well, needless to say, that didn't sound appetizing to have a person delivering our food who looked so bad that the hotel clerk pointed it out to me! Upon getting our bag of food, the seal at the top of the bag was half ripped and appeared that the inside food containers were tampered with. NOT OK EVER MUCH LESS DURING A PANDEMIC! We honestly didn't feel safe to eat the dinner we ordered because of this. I called GrubHub to remove the tip but I'm still so upset by this happening. Really gross and a huge waste of my money. Do better Yard House. Don't allow delivery from a company that uses people like this. Won't ever order from them again!!!! read more
