I can't have garlic or onions. Everything on the menu has garlic in it. I ordered a margarita pizza and asked for garlic to be left off. Margarita pizza traditionally should not have sauce. It came with sauce. I was unable to eat it due to garlic being in the sauce. I picked off the toasted tomatoes and ate those for my dinner. Also my margarita was shaken so much, it had a foam on top and it never went away. Not appetizing. The beer cheese was literally gritty. It tasted like bottled parm cheese mixed with water. This is a favorite among my friends and I if we're ever headed down by the river. It's in a nice location and had a great atmosphere. I've been here a few times and each time is better than the last. I've had the server, LaVar, a few times now and I've got to say he's the absolute best. He's hilarious and remembers us from before, top notch service. They have an extensive food and drink selection. Also, it's not only bar-style food as they have a variety of options. Last time I was there I ordered a quesadilla off the appetizers menu. It's quite filling for an appetizer. One thing to note is parking can be a tad hectic. There is a garage across the street near he Scripps building and a garage down by the river beside Moerlein Lager House. Either one is usually cheap, barring any Reds game or other event. read more

Yardhouse appeared in some search results as we tried to find a place with a good beer selection during my brothers' last visit to Cincinnati. I had checked out their menu online before and was astounded at how many vegetarian items they had to offer. I don't know why it took me so long to visit! Everything was super tasty - we started with an order of Truffle Fries, my husband had Buffalo Boneless Wings and I had Hongos y Rajas Street Tacos. My brother had a BBQ Bacon Cheddar burger that he mostly enjoyed - except for the piece that was a little more rare than medium. Everyone enjoyed our visit, and I think we would all be happy to dine here again. We ended the meal with Salted Caramel Butterscotch Pudding, which I was practically raving about. read more

What a beer selection! This place is the definition of cool. A loooong bar with over 100 beers on tap, plus a pretty extensive menu. This place is one of our favorites. You can't beat the location both in view and proximity to all the fun downtown has to offer. I've had the lobster, crab and artichoke dip and it is one of the best things on the menu. Plus it's an appetizer made for sharing, it's very large. I've had the Moo Shu egg rolls--and they are ok. Tasty but not the best thing I've had there. Plus I've had almost all of the street tacos. The grilled Korean pork belly taco is one of the absolute best. Closely followed by the blackened swordfish taco. Oh and it wouldn't be an honest review if I didn't tell you that you could not leave without trying the shrimp cheviche. So fresh and perfect for warm weather. Great looking restaurant we visited going to a Reds game. Went to the bathroom after seating only to find trash cans overflowing with paper towels and two of three soap dispensers empty. Worse yet no fresh paper towels to be had. Notified waitress but after dinner nothing had changed. Food, ordered the spinach artichoke dip. Two kinds of cold stale chips to choose from. Dip was microwaved but ok. Ordered the roast beef french dip. Can't understand why they didn't warm up the meat. Au juise was ok but horseradish sauce was just plain mayo. Five stars for pizza, four stars for food, three stars for service. I like Yard House. I always want to like it more, but I don't. I guess we're just friends. I've never had that "wow" experience there, just "well, that was nice but...". Sometimes the service is slow, sometimes it's too loud, sometimes they are out of something, sometimes it just seems a little pricier than it should be. Lots of things work well about this place, but I just don't see it ever being a 5 star spot. On my most recent visit, I tried the Nashville Hot chicken sandwich. It was nothing special. Probably the least impressed I have been by food there in a while. We also shared the Poke Nachos, which were really pretty amazing. That pretty much sums up this place for me. Something amazing, something totally average, overall.... nice. They have decent lunch specials, but it is next to impossible to eat here in an hour. The bathrooms were surprisingly tired. I remember being impressed when they opened this location how nice the bathrooms were. I no longer think that. The best thing about this place is that it generally remains sane after events downtown. It's not going to be wall to wall 20somethings on a Friday night. If the rest of the Banks feels like a crazy crowd, Yard House may be more your speed. read more

Our party of 8 enjoyed the round table for a Friday happy hour pre season game. We ordered several different apps which were all super delicious. Chicken nachos, spinach dip, a few different wings, pretzel with cheese, and garlic parm aioli fries. Only downfall was the nacho chips were very stale and not good. They seriously have the best servers here. Every time we come in it's better than the last. Gabriella was our server today and I've never had better service in my life. She didn't like how many lettuce leaves the kitchen gave us for the chicken lettuce wraps so she gave us 2 extra orders without asking. This place has food for whatever mood you're in. Everything is always fresh and made in house. From the tortilla chips (yes really), to the homemade aolis. Never had a bad item on the menu. Which is insane because there's literally 100 items. We started with the wraps and then split several appetizers. (Tip: Ask for the truffle fries well done. They usually are a little undercooked.) Keep in mind the drinks are a little overpriced but that comes with territory. Can't recommend this place enough. Not a family place. This place had pretty good reviews and so we thought this would be a great place to eat after a Reds game. 20-25 min wait which I thought was pretty good for as close to the stadium it was. But the music in there was blaring and the menu is pretty hit and miss. Hefty price for the amount of food you get, really. I couldn't talk across the table due to the music being so loud. I did see they had a huge bar and A LOT of beers on tap, so I guess if you want to drink with your friends this would be a great place. I'm not sure what the atmosphere is here when Reds fans aren't in town, but I was not impressed this time around by any means. The 2 stars is for the street tacos which were alright. read more

Ordered take out last night two eight ounce filet one well done one medium well both were rare. Picked up my order at around 10:30 and by the time I got home I noticed how bad my order was wrong. All she did was take our order and then we had to track her down for our check and boxes after she walked past our table 15 times to help the two tables on either side of us. My friend left something on the table and called and asked the hostess to hang on to it and we'd come right back for it and then supposedly our server and the manager both looked and said the item was not there. Friend comes back, goes back to the table which was not cleared off, and there is her item right where she said it was. My first visit to Yard House was a few nights ago for a Yelp Elite event. We got free beer and free food. Honestly, a wonderful combination for a beer lover such as myself. We tried many appetizers and got to try about four beers. We got our choice of a welcome beer, and a beer tasting that had three different kinds - a Belgian, an IPA, and a Pilsner. I LOVE stouts, so when it was offered as one of the welcome beers, I went with that. It was a good stout, so naturally as a coffee lover, it was superb. I would happily get that beer over and over. I was really pleased with the IPA too - which surprised me - because typically I don't like them. While it was really hoppy, it didn't have the same taste as other IPAs that normally is off putting to me. It was my favorite of the three tastes we got. My second favorite was the Belgian, which is another beer preference of mine. Belgians are just crisp and refreshing. My least favorite was the Pilsner. It was definitely good too, but it didn't have as much flavor as the other beers. For food, we got to try all kinds of appetizers. Such as wings, onion rings, crab lobster dip, spinach artichoke dip, and more. The food was good, but I wasn't blown away. I think a common issue for places with such a large menu is that often the food is just okay. Whereas with establishments with smaller menus tend to focus more on the quality and not the quantity. That being said, I would definitely still come back for a visit. They have so many great beer choices and the staff was so friendly that I want to come back just to experience those things. read more

Stopped by Yard House while visiting Cincinnati recently. There were nine of us, but we were still seated within five minutes! It was a calm, beautiful day with a music festival and an African market nearby. Upon being seated, our drink orders were promptly taken. Since it was so hot outside, we all ordered water, initially. For lunch, I ordered tomato bisque and a ranch salad. A while later, our food was served by a team of workers. My salad was tasty and fresh. The tomato bisque was probably the best I ever had. I should've ordered a bowl. No. Actually, I would've preferred to take the entire pot home. This bisque was simple, yets extremely delicious. I'm going to have to make my own some day! We all enjoyed our food, but I found the salads to be overpriced. A salmon salad was $17.95! A chefs salad was $12.95. These are probably the priciest salads that I've seen in a while. One would expect the portions to be huge to match the price of the salads, but no, they're not. They were tasty though. We didn't order wings on this visit, but I know that Yard House has some awesome wings, based on prior experience. Maybe we'll get some wings next time! Recommend! read more

As long as The Yard House has been here yesterday was my first visit. There was a premier for a new beer we wanted to try. The service was slow initially. We found out that although the hostess told us to sit any where, all the seats were not open until the evening staff arrived. The server that eventually came informed us. She was so nice and made up for the wait. We had the Bold Fashioned cocktail. It was awesome full flavor with a smoke flavor in the background. Loved it. We learned that they did not receive their shipment of the new beer so we were not able to try it. Food wise we had queso and calamari appetizers. Both were very good. The calamari was cold and thus the lower rating. We did not bother sending it back. The queso came with delicious tortilla chips and soft flour tortilla shells. The queso was good I wished for a few more jalapenos. Next time I'll ask for all chips. Those shells were a weird choice for a queso did I'm my opinion. What a terrible experience. They refused to seat us near our party even though there was an open table all night, we asked over and over for them to turn off the overhead heater in the outside area that was blazing heat directly on our faces...no response. Service was slow and unfriendly, no one bothered to check In with us after the food came out, and we had to check ourselves out. The mediocre over charged food you serve does not make the rest of this experience worth my time. I do not recommend this location and feel very sad for one of my favorite people on earth celebrating her 21st bday in your establishment. read more

I love the lively atmosphere here and the huge menu with something for everyone. I've been coming to the Yard House for many years now and I've never had a bad experience. The atmosphere, the food, the drinks..everything is pretty good here. The place is big enough that even when it's really busy there isn't much of a wait, if any. I can't recall ever having to wait for a table. I'm not a beer drinker, so I can't speak for their vast selections and crazy yard tall servings..but I've been here with a decent amount a beer aficionados and they've all given this place high marks. So if beer is your thing, definitely check this place out. My favorite thing they serve here are the truffle fries. They are just made perfectly. The fries are always crisp, the truffle is always mouth wateringly good. I didn't get these on my last visit, and I really regretted it afterwards. I went with the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich. I asked for no cole slaw on it, it came with it anyways, but it worked with the sandwich..adding a cooling agent for the heat. The sandwich was hot but not crazy hot. The chicken was crisp and the bun complimented it quite nicely. Would I get the sandwich again? Maybe..maybe not. It wasn't bad in anyway but it wasn't anything special. I might go for a burger next time, and an order of truffle fries for sure. The staff here is always nice. The waiter we had this last time was outstanding. With how busy it was he was overly attentive of every detail of our meals. Our glasses never went empty. The Yard House is a great place to stop by when in town. I have been to Yard House in Indianapolis a couple of times and loved it, so was excited to try this location after a day spent watching the Bengals training camp. However, my wife and I were unfortunately pretty disappointed from start to finish. The bar area wasn't the cleanest, service was lacking, and the food was just not very good. The onion rings weren't at all crispy, my club sandwich was mediocre, and the nachos were nothing special. We had high hopes from our experience at the Indy location and really looked forward to our dinner, but it was just not the quality of food or service we were expecting. read more

It has been a while since I've been to a Yard House, and I didn't remember it being so good. My turkey burger was great because the tomato-onion jam put it over-the-top. My wife got the half-sandwich and salad, and enjoyed it. We finished the meal with me eating 90% of the bread pudding dessert. It wasn't too big, but it was good. I just wish the Reds would have played as well as Yard House tasted. Back again at Yard House, the turkey burger was good and Whitney's service was ok. The problem is that I paid $10 for about 2 square inches of bread pudding dessert. It should have cost about $5 for what I received. I'll remember for next time I come to Yard House. Back again Valentines weekend 2020 for lunch and still only 3-stars at best. First of all, prices are up, but I would expect that due to the Great Trump Economy. Second, our server was not very attentive as she had a large group next to us hoping for a fantastic tip, I guess. Third, the food was good, except my wife's tortilla soup came without a spoon. After 10+ minutes, our server came by and did provide a spoon. We also ordered a side of sweet potato fries that ended up arriving as we were finishing our meal. We ended up sending them back. If you're a vegetarian in search of a restaurant with a lot of yummy vegetarian options Yard House should definitely be on your radar. In fact, I first fell in love with Yard House when I saw their extensive vegetarian menu and subsequently ordered the Buffalo Gardein Wings. Holy moly, those wings are so delicious! They've also got a lettuce wrap appetizer which my family thoroughly enjoys. You can make your own wrap and keep it vegetarian or choose chicken and there are three different sauces that come with it as well. All in all, the food menu is extensive and I've never had anything less than fantastic there. On to the drinks! The beer menu is super extensive and you can find just about anything you're looking for. We've ordered the yards before, which is always a fun experience! I'd just say make sure you get something you can drink quickly so you finish it before it gets warm. Last, but not least, the location is nice, right down on the banks by the river, though that does mean in most cases you're going to have to pay to park in the garage, but street parking is sometimes available. The seating is good, which has made it a favorite of my large family for birthdays and celebratory dinners. The atmosphere is also nice, the servers and bartenders are always friendly and inviting, and, as a bonus, we've run into a few Reds players down there, which is pretty cool! Tip: call ahead bc they don't take reservations. We were a family of 4 out for Saturday night dinner and to watch the KY basketball game. It's very loud at Yard House so expect loud music but they don't play the TVs over the speakers so it's music only. Music was good. We were seated on the winterized outdoor patio and it was comfortable in February with the overhead heaters and plastic covered windows. The pink sunset over the Bengals stadium was awesome. There were multiple large groups around us so that contributed to the volume but a positive vibe throughout. Our waitress was attentive and followed thru with our request for the UK game on a visible TV. Drinks were solid and as described by menu. Bold Fashioned was my favorite with a smooth smoky finish. On the sweeter side though and the integral dark cherry was absent. Hendricks and tonic with lime was spot on. Lemonade for the kids. Recommend bringing something for kids to do. Not the best ambiance for any child with sensory sensitivity but the dim lighting counterbalanced the speaker volume. Food: 4/5 stars. Chicken nachos could've used more chicken but poke bowl, kids pizza, and street tacos plate were all enjoyed. read more

I've had numerous people tell me (after finding out how much I LOVE beer and vegetarian cuisine) that I need to find a Yard House and go there. Well, I finally did. This was stop number two of our Cincy day drinking bonanza. We sat down at the bar and were greeted within a minute or so. I started with a Stupid Silly Sour and ordered some veggie buffalo wings. Both were everything I wanted. It's been almost impossible for me to find vegetarian wings, so I was very happy that they offered them. The texture and flavor were consistent with real wings (I haven't had chicken in 8 years, so maybe my memory is a little off). Even my omnivore wife was impressed. It should be noted that Yard House does, in fact, brew their own beer. My bestie ordered their House Honey Blonde and it was decent. The service was fast and our beer tender never made us wait for another pour. I been to the yard house twice in the last two months, the first time was by choice we took a friend for his bday and my experiencia wasn't the best, the second one i had no say because a friend really wanted to go for the yard beer mainly. The restaurant is well located, nice setting and the atmosphere is upbeat since is at the banks, but I hate the way the menu is set up there is way too many options and they're all over the place. The first time I went I had the Ahi sashimi which was filled with some sort of sauce and kind of destroyed, my friend had the chicken pot pie that she hated, and my other friend had a steak which was good so I guess it wasn't all bad. The second time we went on a Tuesday and this is important because it's taco Tuesday everywhere except here, I had the chicken tacos which were okay I guess but overpriced for no reason, my other friend had ceviche tachos and the seafood was awful. I give it a two because the first time service was quick and good, and second time even though we waited a very very very long time for food, the waiter was friendly and attentive. For the prices and food I highly doubt I'll go back. read more
