Went here for dinner before the improv show, only because I had a gift card. The quality of food has sadly declined. We started with the chicken lettuce wraps.. these used to be my favorite. They are far from it now 6/10. We also got the calamari appetizer which I would rate an 8/10. I feel like calamari is pretty hard to mess up though. We then decided to try one of their "new" dishes, so we shared the shrimp and chicken Pad Thai. HUGE mistake. It was disgustingly saucy. The sauce took away from the entire dish, and killed my taste buds. I would rate that dish a 1/10. Got the poke nachos (chips they use are SOOO light, airy, and crispy), truffle fries, and boneless wings (lemon pepper and Korean chili - both were flavorful and good). My friends got other appetizers too that I didn't try and said they were all solid. 0 stars for all the entrees we got and the ordering system. We got a bunch of entrees (from pizza, pasta, salad, sandwiches) and every single one tasted like they marinated the protein in salt for years and cooked it. The servers were attentive and nice but we thought it was odd they gave us 1 tablet to order all the food/alcohol (there were over 15 of us) BUT half the food we couldn't order from the tablet and had to order through them. My favorite dish at Yard House is the jambalaya. I was craving it last week, so I placed a online order. Like everything else, the price has increased and the quality has went down, but to charge $24.99 for a jambalaya dish with 4 dried up shrimp, 4 thin sausage slices, a spoonful of the tiniest crawfish, and very little chicken is criminal! I think the takeout orders are leftover feom the previous day. I was so disappointed. We need to stop giving these restaurants our money because the way they have increased the prices while skimping on ingredients and portions is wrong. Great place in Downtown Brea to have appetizers or a drink at their large bar. They have a wide variety of beer on tap! Paul helped us out last weekend and he was great! This will definitely satisfy your taste buds! It's a festival of flavors!! The toasted brioche bun was perfect for this sandwich. Upgrade to their sweet potato fries. So good! You can also get it with lettuce to replace the bun and a house salad instead of fries. They also have a variety of items that are under 700 calories. CHICKEN BOWL: grilled chicken stir-fried sesame brown rice & red quinoa, shiitake mushrooms, snap peas, bok choy, carrots, red onion, baby broccoli, red pepper flakes. It came beautifully plated. You can also get steak instead of chicken. Worst experience ever at a restaurant. I was in the middle of doing their survey on the tabletop tablet/ziosk when our server Drake came by and I asked him for the name of the girl that 1st serviced us with our drink order. He played dumb like he didn't know her name & looked over to see that I was doing the survey and then he reached over and snatched the Ziosk from my hands and exited out of the Survey that I was almost done completing. He violated my personal space & assaulted me by snatching it from my hands. I was in shock & disbelief. I had already paid & tipped for the lousy service and was just trying to fill out the survey as I have every right to do so. His response?? He didn't want to get her in trouble!!! Well Drake, now you just added insult to injury. I will be calling corporate & I will be reporting Drake, Gabby & the supposed manager Shawn who only offered insincere apologies, he even laughed. My family and i's go to spot! I've been coming here since I was a toddler and I have never had a bad experience. I usually go for the steak bowl but this time I tried the spicy jambalaya! Super good. I ordered it with linguini, no peppers, and no crawfish. Good balance of creamy and spice. The shrimp was cooked very well! Most of the flavor comes from the seasoning on the shrimp. I must admit that the Yard House Poke Nachos is probably my fav bar food. There, I have to state that before I go on and gush about them. I recently came in and had the Poke Nachos and while I normally have one of their many delicious beers, especially their ambers or reds today I decided to go with the 9 oz Avalon Cab Sauvignon. The bar tenders are always great and today was no exception. The service was friendly and quick. They typ let you try so today when I asked if I could taste the Avalon they were quick to give me a quick sample. It was very good so I stayed with wine instead of a beer today. Yard House is always a classic option to grab a drink. I do love the extensive drink menu. The food menu is also extensive, but I noticed a lot of my favorite items are no longer on the menu. This place is always always packed. I don't do well with packed spaces, I get very claustrophobic. We stopped in last weekend and were able to get two seats at the bar, which was a rare occasion. I loved the design/ art work on my martini. Very classy touch. I haven't eaten here in years, I usually just enjoy some drinks as a night cap. read more

My server Jennifer was awesome. I asked about an ALA carte burger patty vs an actual hamburger. I'm on a carnivore diet and only wanted the patty. She told me the patty is $7 vs $15 or so for a burger. The valet sets up at 4 pm or so. I was there for a 1 PM lunch so the lot in the rear had ample parking. The restroom was nice and clean. Dinner at YH with family. We were near the bar so It was loud so conversations was difficult . Started with a very nice house Pilsner before our meal. I had a good jambalaya loaded with shrimp, sausage and crawfish. The sauce flavors bold not too spicy worked well with the jasmine rice. An order of lobster with garlic noodles worked well with the mushrooms. If your a garlic monster like me Ask for it to prepared with extra garlic. Niece had a super tender and gigantic cut bone in rib eye steak. Plate presentation could have been better. Last but not least a huge 5 Stars to our waiter Drake. Today we held a celebration of life for my dad who recently passed and opted to host it at Yard House - what a great experience! I coordinated with Jason a few weeks prior and he helped me reserve the patio for 40 guests. We were originally asked to do a preset menu for that many folks, which seemed fine at the time, but I wondered if they could give me the option to order group appetizers and allow folks to select food and drinks from the regular menu. I called two weeks out to see if this was possible, expecting resistance, but to my surprise I was easily accommodated. I was also told I could come early to set up if I wanted to. When we walked in today, I was extremely impressed with the set-up. We were given about half of the total space, with groups of tables arranged for easy mingling, and waters already laid out on the tables. As folks started trickling in, I asked our attentive servers to bring out appetizers of their choice - they opted for an array of sliders, nachos, onion rings, chicken tenders, and more - all of which were a big hit. Folks continued to order food and drinks amidst the introductions, mingling and catching up. What surprised me the most was the bill - we had a portion of the event during happy hour, which made the 40 person gathering extremely affordable! I went here last night with a bigger party around 10 pm, it didn't take long for us to get a table, maybe 10 min tops. We had an amazing server! He was very helpful and patient! We came in late on a Monday night, and Nelson was super accommodating. We kept moving tables until we found the right one, and we waited on ordering until everyone in the party arrived (which took a while...), but he was very patient. He made great drink selections, allowed us to do some different substitutions, and helped us clean up a little spill we had. A couple items in our order got lost so they came out late, but everything else was spot on. Besides this, the only bad thing is that they started putting the chairs on top of the tables around us. This was hours before they actually closed, but we weren't sure. When we asked, they said that they were closing the patio to new customers, but it totally ruined the environment and made us feel like we needed to leave. If there are still customers in the patio, they shouldn't pack up like it's after hours, because that's just uncomfortable. read more

The food here is better than your average chain sports bar. The service all depends on how packed the place is. On a Saturday or during a Dodger or Lakers Game, I would expect to wait a bit. I was a little skeptical about taking my 93yr old Mom to the Yardhouse, but I'm so happy we did. The host was very considerate in picking out just the right seating area for us (my mom has a walker). The service was absolutely amazing. The waitress was so much fun - I'm writing this review a few weeks late, so I don't remember her name, but I remember she said she's the youngest one on their staff. We had the Parmesan Truffle Fries, the Ahi Tuba Crunchy Salad & the BBQ Chicken salad. Everything was top notch. Most reviews talk about everything except the fact that the service is substandard. To start, the menus were wet with beer and dirty. The plates they brought to use for appetizers were obviously dirty, yet I had to point it out for the waitress to change them. She brought "clean" but wet plates. We got the food, but no silverware; we had to asked for them. Our waitress didn't even notice that we didn't have any. Oh and they brought the wrong order for me.
