Blown away. My sister, brother-in-law, and I wanted a place where we could get a beer and good food. We got great beer and incredible food. The beer selection is one of the best I've ever encountered outside of a true pub like Flying Saucer. The food knocked my socks off. They had an entire selection of the menu devoted to Gardein food. Gardein is a brand which makes a variety of meat substitutes--and Yard House makes them dance. I got a BBQ "chicken" pizza that was absolutely fantastic. There were easily 8-10 other options. I'm used to a menu having 1-3 vegetarian options and that's it. This was a magical change. The Domain is a fabulous space and I enjoyed my visit very much. My sister and brother-in-law said it would be a fast favorite. Highly recommended! read more

If your are visiting Yard House for the first time, I highly recommend you trying it! 11/10!!!! We sat outside and the ambience was perfect. It was around 7:30pm so it was pretty dark, but the lights around the building created such a nice mood. The service was great when my friend and I went-- the waitress was fast and attentive to our needs. The only reason why this place lost a star was because of it is a bit overpriced. While there could be a little sticker shock on some of the prices, in an up and coming area it is to be expected. Stopped by for lunch and had the onion rings, poke nachos and Nashville chicken sandwich. All were very tasty. Onion rings were a healthy portion as were the nachos. Nachos had a good kick to them. Chicken sandwich didn't light my tongue on fire, the slaw on top cooled it down. Just wish I could've sampled some beer while I was there. read more

I really like this place! They have good food selections for all types. If your a vegetarian, vegan, or meat eater. I personally don't eat red meat so I was happy to see they had plenty of options for me. I had the chicken vampire taco. Omg, deliciousness!!! The best taco ever!! I saw they had a veggie taco but they don't make it here? Idk but it's ok, the chicken vampire was good. As far as service, we had Andres at the bar. He was amazing!! He gave us history and knowledge on almost all the beer selections here. He gave us samples and was very excited explaining his favorite beers here and how they were created. He was the best!! Super big time #1 fan! I've been twice. One time just after happy hour ended and the second time I was here in time to take advantage of their happy hour. They have great happy hour specials, so if you can make it here before 6pm, dooooo it! My first visit was first and foremost because they are offering one of my favorite barley wines, Revolver's Anodyne on draft. They also offer exclusively a Gardein menu. Say what?! Faux meat section, FTW. Never in my life had I tried anything by Gardein, but I appreciate what they are trying to do here. I got their Gardein macaroni. It was a hefty portion and only the small size! It was easily two meals. The second time I got a pizza off the happy menu for only $6. The drink menu is impressive. 125 beers on draft with a large wrap around bar inside with ample seating. The drink options cover everything from local craft brews, their own Yard House brand of beer, to wine, sake and martinis. The food menu has everything, including a gluten sensitive menu, and items that are noted to be under 600 calories for those who count calories. I was jealous of my friend who ordered their famous vampire taco, which is a cheese crusted tortilla with bacon, chorizo and carnitas in it! That sounds like a bathroom accident waiting to happen. All in all, food+drinks +easy parking close by=winning. The service has been impeccable each time as well. This is now easily my favorite spot in the Domain! read more

Yelp review 100 for 2016 to complete the Yelp challenge! This feels like it should be a 3, based on food quality, but a famous Yelper recently mentioned to me how there is too much negativity on Yelp, and after thinking about it I'd have to agree so I'm bumping them up a star for the overall dining experience. The highlight of the lunch were the appetizers for sure. We ordered the fried Brussels sprouts and crispy potatoes and the deviled eggs. I thought both were fantastic. The aioli that comes with the sprouts and potatoes is amazing, and the deviled eggs have a smoked flavor that is incredible. From there I would say the food quality goes down a notch. I tried the Nashville chicken, the wife got the burger with the pastrami and egg. The burger was supposed to be medium rare and there was very little pink inside so it seemed overcooked. The meat was still tender, but it did lack some moistness due to the overcooking. The Nashville chicken was nothing special. It was a greasy, fried, oily, spicy piece of chicken. I guess I was expecting more of an extra crispy on the bone type chicken with a spicy batter and a nice crunch. This was more like a greasy breaded chicken breast. The pancake it came with was pretty good though. It had a nice texture and crunch to it and with the honey, it had almost a churro like taste to it. On a previous occasion we got the mac and cheese with bacon and it was pretty legit. Another plus here the children's portions are quite large. They also come with a drink and a dessert so I would definitely not shy away from bringing the little tykes. I don't drink, but it did look like they had quite a selection of beers on tap. They also have a lot of TVs and it looks like it will be a great place to catch some sports. Right now it seems like business is a bit slow because they are the only restaurant in that area and there is a lot of construction going on so it is definitely a good time to give them a try. read more

Finally! A Yard House here in Austin. It is located in the Domain right behind Whole Foods. There were several of us that went here to watch the soccer game and drink some beer. We had some appetizers, chorizo queso dip and the calamari. Both were pretty good. They don't have the yard beer drinking tube anymore. They said because people were playing star wars with it but idk.... They just opened and don't have it, hence yard house..... They had the half yard. The beer selection is broad but we were hoping they sold 805 beer on tap. I saw the advertisement billboard so I hoped to see it here and they did not. The service was okay. It was not a full house so not sure what was the issue. We watched the soccer game but they wouldn't show UFC. It was a free fight but I don't think they show it here. I was lucky enough to go to the opening night of Yard Bar to sample some food and drinks. The place itself was large with a long bar with plenty of seating and a great outdoor patio close to the Rock Rose area. There are also several large TV screens around the place making this the perfect place to watch a game with friends. There was such a large variety of foods: Burgers, salmon, barbecue chicken, tuna, salads, crab cake, cheese pizza. I couldn't tell you what the theme was supposed to be. Thankfully, i didn't eat anything I didn't like. The food was pretty solid. The drink menu is expansive. They have there own house made ginger beer for there 3 different Moscow mules which tasted awesome. I also had the Southern Belle cocktail which I really liked and the Brazilian Lemonade which was too minty for my liking. There was a dj for the night who was playing non-stop 80s Rock which my friend and I agreed was a little tedious after about 5 songs. We did like how there were music videos along with the songs playing around the bar area. I'd like to know the music vibe of the place on a regular night. All in all, it was a great night filled with good eats and drinks. The staff were also wonderful and accommodating to such a large crowd. I would definitely return again! read more

Let me share a few of my favorite things about Yard House. Rosé wine by the glass, local brews & liquors, a killer happy hour, swordfish tacos, ahi tuna, moo shu egg rolls, crispy duck wings, friendly service and a covered patio. I also am a huge fan of places that share their nutritional information. The menu is vast with something for everyone to include lots of vegetarian options. Here are some of the items I tried: Ahi Sashmi - blackened seared ahi with splendid mix of soy vinaigrette, wasabi, pickled ginger. Ginger Crusted Salmon - perfectly cooked Norwegian salmon on top of creamy wasabi mashed potatoes, crisp snow peas & carrots topped with a peanut vinaigrette. Moo Shu Egg Rolls - chicken, chili cream cheese, carrots, green onions, cilantro, spinach. Initially I wasn't intrigued by egg rolls but when our waitress mentioned how awesome they were I had to give them a try and I am so glad I did! What really sealed the deal was the incredible sauce it is served with. Blackened Swordfish Street Tacos - I loved these nicely seasoned fish tacos with crisp cabbage, cilantro topped with a cumin crema, pico de gallo, guacamole, mango & papaya. The other street tacos looked equally enticing. Crispy Duck Wings - this was Jesse's favorite. The wings are glazed with a sweet & savory maple soy glaze topped with sesame seeds, red onions & some serrano chiles. Be prepared for a little kick! I sampled a few other items that were also very delicious like the cheese burger and buffalo chicken pizzas. Next to try on my list here is the Wisconsin Fried Cheese Curds. This is based on one menu item so do take it with a grain of salt BUT i did fall ill after eating here. I got the truffle burger with truffle fries and Perhaps they use low grade ingredients but I have not been able to stomach anything since that burger. I will get the one negative out first, the rest is all positive: I have sat down at the bar before on a Sunday to watch the NFL games and left after not having a bar tender or waitress approach me for ~5 minutes. And it was not busy. Lots of beer to choose from and all the staff have knowledge about them. Do not get the Lobster, Crab and Artichoke dip... I grew up 40 minutes from the ocean and have always been skeptical about seafood options in Austin. Do not go here for seafood. The truffle fries, onion ring tower and Nashville hot chicken plate are all great. Also a fan of the vampire taco. The boneless wings and Brussels sprouts are standard bar quality. read more

A friend of mine took me to The Yard House to celebrate my birthday. It was a beautiful afternoon, so we sat outside on the patio. The service was good, food good, atmosphere unexpectedly terrible! The volume on the 'Classic Rock' the Yard House is so proud of was pumped up so loud, we couldn't hear each talk. When we the asked the manager about the volume and how it interfered with our conversation, he just shrugged and said that was 'Part of The Yard House' culture. Sorry' Obviously, he was not sorry. In a time when people are just coming back to Resturant's to eat, I think his attitude was condescending and short sided. The Domain is full of restaurants I'll be eating at, but never again at the Yard House! read more

Abysmal experience. This place has really gone to the dogs. The service has become poor (with hardly any tables occupied, we - and others - had to wait ages just to ask for a table. The host/hostesses were nowhere to be found, and no one was around to receive a bunch of waiting people.) The food was tasteless - literally had no flavor at all. We asked for a medium rare steak that arrived well-done... and late. Our drinks orders were late. We asked for buffalo sauce for our badly-dried boneless wings with 3 servers - with no sign of anyone bringing it. Finally, to top off a perfectly hideous brunch, a gift card that we bought from Yard House, did not work. We'll never return there again, and we'll caution anyone else from making the same mistake we made. read more

Came here to watch the Cowboys game with some friends and ordered the cheese curds and queso and chips. The cheese curds where pretty much fried cheese which was alright, pretty greasy though. They were definitely stingy with the chips on the queso. I think this place is overpriced for the quality of the food. On the brighter side, the space is large and a good atmosphere for watching games and grabbing drinks with friends. There is a parking garage in walking distance and plenty of restaurants and/or shops around. Head across the street to Restoration Hardware, three stories of heaven interior decor! read more

Went to YH for drinks and came away very satisfied and impressed. Yes, the beer selections are huge. I had a few dark beers...and the old fashions are pretty good. I received great service sitting at the bar. For dinner I succommed to the poke salad bowl - consisting of a beautiful tasty display of marinated raw ahi on crispy rice, surrounded by arugula, avocado, cucumbers, nori, seaweed salad, tomatoes, edamame, garlic, crispy wonton, masago, soy vinaigrette, sriracha aïoli. There was no stand alone personality to this place at all...it was too loud like acoustically loud where you can not really have a comfortable conversation with the person across the table from you. My kids ordered a kids meal that was supposed to come with desert, but desert was not offered, it is for the best tho...one adamantly would not eat pizza (of which there is much love for...) and told me later (after he barfed in the bushes) that it tasted like rotten tomatoes... I ordered the braised short rib ravioli and it was fine...my best ordered a roll of some sort and it was so spicy he was dropping tears into his napkin. My boyfriend and I came here and decided to try as much food as we could possibly eat since the menu is so huge. Great place to come if you have a group of people with different tastes. Drinks: I got the midnight sangria and my boyfriend got the Old 43. Both were delicious and the garnishes were fresh. $10 a drink is pretty steep but you could taste the alcohol in both, they were flavorful and not watered down. Appetizers: We ordered the duck wings and the coconut shrimp. Really amazing choices. The duck was fried really well, nice and crisp, and had a maple sauce. The coconut shrimp could have used a little more sweetness in the dipping sauces but the shrimps were nice and big. More Snacks: We tried the vampire taco and the asada taco. Probably my favorite thing we had there. Their whole taco selection looked really good so it's nice that you can order by the taco for tasting or for an entire entree. Entres: I got pineapple chicken and he got the BBQ bacon cheddar burger. He asked for it cooked medium and it came out cooked to perfection. The fries were deliciously crispy. The pineapple chicken is a huge portion and the waitress said it was marinated in the sauce for 48 hours. I thought it was decently flavorful, especially with the sauce on the side. Probably the best ribeye I've ever had! The steak was very tender and cooked to perfection. I substituted the spinach mashed potatoes for the regular ones, and they were creamy and so delicious. My experience here was less than stellar and I was sad due to the fact that it was highly rated. First, ambiance was too generic for me. It was like a loud dark sports bar trying to shine on their "fabulous" food selection. The place smells like the vinyl seats have either been cleaned improperly or they are subpar quality. There were tables filled with coworkers drinking and eating their stress away and not seeming to mind the place. Service was really interesting. I wonder if you will feel the same and then totally relate to my lack of words for what I mean by this statement?! For a place that heavily depends on their drinks, there was nothing very special or particularly tasty either. I would say stick to beer or whatever comes out of the tap because then you won't feel quite as saddened by your experience. If you're going to put herbs in your drink, please make sure it is not dead and that it doesn't bring more attention to the fact that the drink was not made well. Ordering the truffle fries to accompany the drinks was all I could do at this point. While they were not terrible, the do lack the fresh quality. I'm sure these were just cut from a frozen bag and then dumped into the fryer. Know what you are getting yourself into. read more

Lots of decent beers to choose from. A half yard looks huge but it's only about 2 and 2/3 beers. Pipes in the ceiling carry the beer lines from the tap room to the taps. Glycol keeps the beer really cold so no need for chilled glasses. This place can get really busy and in and out can be challenging due to it being in the Domain. Decent options for bar food or even a full meal. We tried 3 different street tacos, chips and guacamole and duck fat potatoes. I have to say the Vampire taco and the duck fat papas were poooordy good. Changing menu of local fair beer and specials. Lively place and almost constant music but not so loud you can still chat. Staff was ON it and the kitchen are is kind of an amazing experience. Very well designed place. read more
