Our first time trying the new delivery place was nothing short of awesome! It helps that they're just down the street so the delivery was quite fast, but the food is the best Chinese that we've ever had in ATL. The hot and sour was perfect, with lots of ingredients (many places are chintzy with them) and our General Tso's and King Pao Chicken were very nicely prepared and tasty! Usually we have a bunch of leftovers but not this time. Every morsel was gone! We're glad they opened so close to us!! read more

My lovely wife and I had lunch here a few days ago and it was very good, inexpensive and generously portioned. We were surprised to be the only diners for a place with 4.5 stars on Yelp. It deserves to be crowded. The smiling chef delivered our meals. My wife had her favorite Chinese lunch, Mongolian beef, and said it was as good as any she's ever had. I had the Kung-Pao combination of beef, shrimp and chicken and it also was very good. Egg rolls and soup were included with the lunch specials. The hot and sour soup was the only item we thought to be less than great. It had no real kick to it and seemed too bland. As good as everything else was, they need a new soup recipe. read more

I was on my way to Panda Express for lunch but decided to take a detour and check out Yan's Café when I could not find parking at Panda Express after circling the shopping center twice. I'm so glad I made the detour. Yan's is excellent!! I ordered the string bean chicken and kung pao shrimp lunch specials and both dishes exceeded my expectations. The chicken was chicken breast meat and had the best flavor and the shrimp were the large sized shrimp. I will definitely be back to try the other dishes. For under $15 for both entrees and egg roll (included with lunch special), it was not only cheaper but better quality than Panda. read more

I have ordered a few times from Yan's and it's been wonderful. Their food is delicious, but tonight's experience was pretty awful. I ordered delivery and after it had been delivered I realized there was no sweet and sour sauce with my sweet and sour pork. I called the restaurant and they said they'd deliver a new one, which was great. I called 20 minutes later at 8:50 (10 min before closing), and was told that the delivery guy would be there soon so I would be receiving my food. I just called the delivery guy a few minutes ago and he said it would be another 20 minutes. So more than a full hour after I'd received my food, which is another hour on top of when I ordered it. So now it's been almost two hours, it's 9:20 and I haven't been able to eat my dinner. Really disappointed with this experience. read more

I was once a regular customer from almost the opening. There were fewer customers, and the food was consistently very good. Fast forward a couple of years and I placed an order with uber eats and the restaurant sent out the wrong order. I was too hungry to deal with it and just ate the overcharge. I decided I wouldn't do uber eats with them again and went into the restaurant. Previously, their business was smaller and they were mostly able to handle it. Now they are struggling with the food, customer service and getting the right orders. I got there, the inexperienced waiter kept me waiting for about 10 minutes with 2 other tables in the place. I had to ask him to order and when he brought my order another 20 minutes later, he hadn't brought my drink and some of the order was missing. And the food was cold. I asked him to have it reheated. It was brought back relatively quickly, still luke warm and this time, they added more food, too many pepper flakes and it looked inedible. I asked for the manager. Jezzie came out and told me the dish was hot (though she didn't taste it and I asked her to look at it (it looked disgusting.) She then went to the back and started screaming through the store in Chinese. I got up and left. I will never go back. This place can't handle high traffic and Jezzie is in over her head. You can't treat customers like that and keep them. read more

I have been a customer of Mimi's café for years and the food was always excellent as well as a customer service when placing an order. it is now called Yans Café and although I was hesitant I thought I would give them a try I have now ordered from them at least six times and each time I was not pleased with the food. as of today I will never order from them again after the experience I had last night and today. the food that I got last night was inedible from the spring rolls to the egg drop soup to the chicken and shrimp teriyaki entree. I call them after I received the food and told them that my entrée - was terrible looking the chicken and it was tiny diced up pieces of chicken not pieces of chicken and to top it all off there were only two shrimp in the dish. they told me that they would re-cook the dish and use different chicken and add the proper amount of shrimp and redeliver it to me and that it would take approximately 45 minutes., after waiting an hour and 1/2 I call them back to tell them that I had not yet received my food they said it should be arriving shortly. another hour passed and I called them back still no food delivered again they apologized and said that they had a rush on deliveries which I told them mine should've been a priority as when I started this process it was 6 o'clock when I placed my initial order and now it is 840 at night and still no food. at 9:40 I called back again because I knew they would be closing at 10 o'clock and I just wanted to make sure that there was record of the fact that I still had not received my food and I told them at this point I just wanted a full refund for my order and the young girl that was on although she was very polite and helpful told me she did not have the authority to do that but that she had written down the times I had called in and what was going on and that she would discuss it with the manager in the morning and for me to call back. I call back the next day and spoke with the same young girl and she assured me that she was going to give the manager all the information and guarantee that I would receive a full refund for what I had went through and she would have the manager now call me as the manager had not arrived in yet. at about 6 o'clock this evening I received a phone call from the manager and I use that term loosely his name was Derek and he started out by saying to me we cannot give you any kind of a refund because you ate the food so therefore you should have had us come back and pick it up. at this point I was fuming and I told him first of all the food was in edible no one ate any of the food and it was sitting on the counter waiting to be picked up when the new food was supposed to have been redelivered but no one came for three hours no one came and we delivered the food I was promised so I told him he needed to get his facts straight before he accuses his customers. I told him the girl I spoke with last night had wrote everything down and it was all documented of which he rudely replied I haven't seen anything. he told me he was not giving me a discount and I told him that I was not going to pay for food that I never even got to eat and that I would contact my credit card company and have them stop the charge from going through as well as I was going to write a review on yelp about this experience. he said to me he really didn't care what I did go ahead call your credit card company and go ahead and write your review so Derek this one's for you this is the review I promised you. you need to be retrained as a manager if that's at all possible because you lack good management skills in dealing with your customers especially when you were in the wrong. I will never order food from this establishment again. the only reason why I am giving this one star in the review is the young girl that I spoke with last night and today was very kind and caring and apologetic maybe she should be trained to be the manager because she has better skills then Derek. read more
