Got mongolian beef (not spicy) and noodles (pretty good) with some pot stickers and rice. It HAS to be Seattle, because every mexican, asian, indian place I try to get anything spicey just ends up being mild to bland. The last spicy thing I had was chicken wings at Wingstop because you can choose super spicy. Its not their fault, I assume most places just mute the spice because Seattle-ites dont like it. Food overall was okay for standard greasy chinese food. read more

A crowd pleaser for sure. Not amazing to rave about or to cross town for. But I nonetheless am glad to have Yang's Kitchen in the neighborhood and will be splitting my Chinese fix between Yang's and Shanghai Cafe. Definitely worth a try. I agree with the other reviews that the dishes are not particularly spicy, but you can add some on there from the table condiments. As for the comparison with Yea's Wok, I will never go back to Yea's because I find that place to be barely edible, borderline garbage - but that's a rant for a different post. read more

Update: They have a new menu with more pictures! Came back and asked for 5 star spice level and we are satisfied. They have a dish called Tofu Fish with Gravy. The portion is huge with fish and tofu. It's different than the traditional "boiled fish" but we like it better because there is less oil. read more

Nope. Terrible food. Don't get the good reviews. Our food was flavorless, looked sloppy. No way will we go back there. Ordered take out. read more

You know, it takes guts to open a Chinese restaurant near one of the best around... We wanted to get some food from the OTHER Chinese restaurant nearby, but, the wait was 30 minutes. We didn't want to wait, so, I suggested to my husband that we should try out the NEW Chinese place. Well, much to his reluctance, we decided to give Yang's a try - So glad that we did! All we ordered was the Spicy Garlic Chicken. It was SO good! The sauce was definitely spicy, but, so tasty! I was eating spoonfuls of the sauce once the chicken was all gone. Ha, ha. The only thing I would have a (minor) complaint is that there was not much chicken, so, one dish was really not enough to feed both my husband & me. (There were plenty of veggies in it though - some I did not know what they were though!) So, in summary, even after his hesitance to try somewhere new, my husband really enjoyed Yang's as well! We are excited to try more dishes from them in the future. And, we also hope business picks up for them because they are so darn good! read more

I went to this place on a random weekday, because my husband and I were hungry and wanted to try this place. It was pretty dead - only two other parties were eating dinner at around 6:30-7pm. The service was quick, and the food came out quite fast. Unfortunately, the food didn't have much flavor. We've had similar dishes at other restaurants, but this place was a disappointment. We won't be coming back. read more

A neighbor recommended the chow mein. They said the noodles were thick and tasted homemade. I ordered the pork chow mein to go and it was some of the best Chinese food ever! Service was really fast and very kind. Fair prices, too. Shop and dine local, folks! read more

Such a wonderful place!! Came with a big group and everything we ordered came out so fast. Definitely recommend!!!

First time eating take out here. The prawns were doughy and mushy, very tasteless. The beef vegetable dish was very average, kind of a gravy flavor. I don't think they have a very good cook compared to Yea's Wok or some of the area's Thai restaurants. Their flavors are heavy handed. Probably not going to order here again. read more

Food ordered: Qong ching chicken, green onion pancake, combo pan fried noodles, fried tofu n green beans, hot n sour soup. Not sure whether it's really szechuan styles because the dishes that are supposed to be spicy are not spicy at all. Overall, it's just ok. Price is a bit on the high side. read more

We had a very tasty meal at Yang's. Food very hot, tasted like it wasn't held in a warmer pan all day (like most other places do). Some interesting menu items I want to try. Back soon. read more

UPDATE - got takeout today. Egg Flour Soup is incredible! It's very creamy and has corn in it for a wonderful flavor!! The cup size is generous and easily enough for two people. Highly recommend!! I've been getting food to go from here since the week they opened. Everything is delicious. I just ordered the orange chicken which is on special this week for $9.99 and I have to say it is outstanding. The best orange chicken I've ever had. Phone in orders are quick usually just a 15-20 minute wait. I always shop at the QFC next door so this place is very convenient! Service is friendly and the fried rice and orange chicken is delicious read more

I stopped going to Yea's wok across the street to give these guys business. At this point I'm supporting the under dog restaurants only and Yang's kitchen is my calling. We order take out at least once a week from Yang's. I listened to Derek's review and tried Szechuan beef brisket. OMG, it was divine. It reminds me of the Vietnamese dish called "Bo Kho" but without carrots and more spicy. My second favorite is Fish with Tofu in Szechuan sauce. Kung pao chicken is ok. I'd give 7.5/10 for this dish. My family loves their shrimp fried rice. Tonight I'll try the hot boiled fish and will report back at a later time. But it seems like the majority of the reviewers likes this dish. My goal is to try 75% of the dishes on their menu. Hopefully they'll survive through this tough period read more

Me and my husband had the pleasure of trying this business tonight. We had the Green Onion Pancakes which were very tasty and served with a good savory sauce. Then I got my Honey Walnut Prawns which were the best I've had in a very long time-they were very fresh and coated with a fluffy fried batter even the walnuts were scrumptious!! My husband had the Sweet and Sour Chicken which he raved over. All our dishes were also great value for the money, all in all a place not to miss!! The Green Onion Pancakes were OUT of this world good!!! read more

This was the first time we ordered takeout from Yang's and I have to say it is the best asian food I have had in my life! We ordered 10 different items and each dish was extremely delicious! The food is fresh, flavored perfectly, cooked to perfection, and visually appealing. The restaurant is super clean and the staff is very friendly. If you are looking for incredible asian food you need to try this place :-) read more

Great food and great service. The fish and picked cabbage soup is to die for. To go along with it some fabulous chopped pepper hot fish and sweet and sour spareribs. The staff is so friendly. This will be a weekly must. Thank you Yang's Kitchen. read more

Nice place for authentic Chinese food. Lots of flavors and if you are into spicy this is the place to be. My favorite is the Szechuan fry fish, unique!! read more

Really had high hopes for this place since the pickings are slim for good Chinese food in the Newcastle area This place was meh at best. The curry fried rice was under-salted (and I have a pretty high bar for this), the dumpling skins were way too thick. I usually look forward to having leftovers but didn't bother with this meal. read more

You must try Hot boiled fish! Spicy and tasty!! I moved here recently but already ordered twice:) Here is my new favorite restaurant. One thing I have to say is the pancakes are really thin and don't taste anything read more

I ordered Mongolian beef lunch combo. They gave me a choice of soup (you have to bring own container) and rice , a spring roll, and Mongolian beef. Unfortunately, the beef was too chewy and no taste. I tried many different Chinese restaurants but the beef is not tenderized or cheap one they are using or beef was in the freezer for long time to dehydrated. I do not want to go back because of their cooking style. I like more Hongkong or Taiwan style of cooking. read more

The fact that they don't have Sichuan spicy mung bean jelly and is a Sichuan restaurant is ridiculous. When we asked, the lady screamed at us and said "NO, WE DON"T HAVE IT". SMH. The food there was just alright. Haven't gone back in the past 4 months. read more

Don't be deterred by the decor (or lack of) at first! I can imagine some good old fashioned Chinese chef opening a small simple eatery trying to survive the very competitive restaurant business in Bellevue area! If you order Chili Pepper Intestines (尖椒肥腸), you'll see what I mean. The intestines got the exact perfect textures - crunchy outside, not dry, and tender inside, not gooey. It's flavorful and spicy with the right accents of green peppers and celeries. It's a difficult dish to prepare which really showcases the chef's ability and experiences. Must order if you dare! I also tried Ma Po Tofu and Garlic Chou Sum and they were both really good! read more

Very first time trying this restaurant. Never even got to the actual food. Placed an online order. Husband went to pick up and they hand him the wrong order without verifying his name, address, phone or order. Called to ask for a refund. They laughed and said "oh yeah the other people want to know where their order is". He then stated we could drive back and return the food. What are they going to do with returned food? Resell it? I told him again I wanted a refund. He said he couldn't do that. Done with this place... Update: Received a phone call from the owner who apologized and said she would refund the order. read more

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant in my neighborhood. Very friendly service! The fried rice is not oily and I love that they have 1-5 spicy levels! Level 3 is perfect for me! I love their shaved noodles too especially in their soups. The vegetable soup was delicious. I wish they would add more vegetables in addition to cabbage, onion and broccoli. It was spicy and delicious! Yang's Kitchen, add more vegetables to the vegetable soup and I will give you 5 starts next time!! read more

I have here many times and over all the food is really good. I have gotten both from a takeout standpoint and also ordered in house. Every experience has been good. The only comment I would say is that the potstickers are not the best and don't seem to be made in house. All in all though the spicy one tons are great, the downtown noodles are great, everything's been really good and they really care about the quality of their food read more

Great food, with fast and friendly service. We decided to support a local business by grabbling some takeout this week and ended up with a feast. The two of us chose orange chicken, noodles, chicken wings, and mixed veggies. Not only did we have a great dinner, but we had plenty left over for the next day. We'll be back again, soon. read more

We were pleasantly surprised by the quick service and food quality at this new neighborhood restaurant. Our server was also really helpful and recommended us to increase the heat level for the dishes after knowing that we like spicy food. Adults enjoyed the spicy beef noodles and chongqing chicken, while the kids slurped up the crispy noodles and sweet and sour fish. Good dining experience, we'll be back! read more

Being right across from Yea's Wok, who has been well established and loved in the neighborhood, Yang's has to do much more to impress me. I made it in right before they close the lunch special and ordered the Mongolian Beef. For $8.95, it came with a cup of hot and sour soup, a scoop of steamed rice and the beef. The food served very very very quickly, within few minutes after ordered, but came out steaming hot, so I know it was made fresh. It even came before the soup, :-). The taste was okay, a little on the sweet side but none of the spiciness like this dish should have. A little disappointed but to be fair, it was ok, not bad, just too many onions and not enough of beef. For the same price, Yea's served with 2 fried wontons, bigger portion of beef on a bed of fried vermicelli, more flavorful and 2 scoops of rice plus a cup of soup. I'm hesitated to return for their lunch special with their competitor right across but I might try their dinner menu someday. Their dinning room looks clean and the servers were friendly. read more

On January 31, 2019 I went to Yang's Kitchen again this time with more friends for dinner. You can order the mouth watering chicken which is off the menu if you order it a day ahead. We had: mouth watering chicken, beef brisket, fried intestines, Sliced Fish in Hot & Spicy Gravy, Dry Cooked String Bean w/ Garlic. The verdict: -mouth watering chicken 3/5 (Not your typical mouth watering chicken dish. The texture was good but the spice was just spicy oil. I would not recommend ordering this again) -Sichuan beef brisket in hot pot(small one). 4/5. Beef was tender. -Fried intestines (I don't eat intestines so my friends ate it all up. They liked it enough. Based on what they said I would give 3/5. They said they prefer the non fried intestines dish. The Asian American guy who was with us loves spicy food and he said it wasn't spicy enough for him and the waitress said next time they can make it spicier. For me I found the spice level was good enough). -Sliced Fish in Hot & Spicy Gravy 3.5/5 (I like the Fish and Tofu In Hot and Spicy Gravy better) -Dry Cooked String Bean w/ Garlic. 4.5/5 (I wish the portion was just a tad bit bigger) I'm not a big fan of their hot and sour soup. It takes more hot than the balance hot and sour. I like their egg drop soup though which is more of a egg drop/ corn soup. Superb service again especially for the lady waitress called Fanny. read more

this wonderful little restaurant has been a family staple ever since it opened in newcastle. the soups are fantastic and so are the rest of the dishes. we love the green onion pancakes, the sizzling rice soup, the pot stickers, and the garlic broccoli. prices are amazing and quality and speed are great. love this place. read more
