My family and I dined in at Yang Ming and we loved the variety of food they offer. Although their sushi isn't the greatest but just the fact that it's there is great. Their service is what is expected for a buffet. The place itself was great and spacious. Their pricing is different for lunch and dinner.

I haven't been to a buffet for awhile. I am impressed with this restaurant. It has myriad of foods to choose from and piping hot too. They have a full bar inside. The dining is of considerable size. I saw groups and groups of patrons dining in and incoming. The food must be good. I admit I was not disappointed. With the lunch price, it is not bad. They even served Tri - Tip. I haven't even tried all the food especially the dessert and I was full to my throat. Our server, kept on checking on us and making sure we weren't neglected. I would definitely come back. Facilities are clean, stocked and have adequate stalls. Parking is free and plenty of them.

This is a buffet restaurant. The choices are many. Quality is what you'd expect. Some is OK other stuff on the steam table to long. Service was good.

Best Chinese buffet in Edmonton. Easily the best Chinese buffet in town, food is always fresh, lots of western Chinese food & authentic Chinese items like char siu, dim sum, wonton soup. Great variety of desserts like ice cream, egg tart, sesame balls, cookies and ect. The dim sum station that has everything from siu mai to chicken feet, sticky rice & black bean steamed ribs, bbq pork buns etc.

I haven't been to a buffet in ages but this one hit the spot! Speaking of spot...it's in a totally sketch area and definitely makes you question the location...but once your inside it's huge and clean. I must say the quality and variety of the food at the buffet was well worth it and went above my buffet level expectations. The trays I saw being re-filled quite often. The food variety was impressive, maybe because it was a Sunday but there was breakfast items- bacon, pancakes, scrambled eggs; Chinese cuisine- chow mein, gylan, broccoli, pork ginger beef, spring rolls; Dim Sum- steamed buns, shrimp balls; Western dinner- prime rib; dessert bar and fresh fruit bar; and my personal favourite a Sushi Bar! Plus a large selection of at least 6 different ice creams. Cookies, coconut and mango jelly, jello, squares. I'm pretty sure I saw a salad bar too. For a buffet in Edmonton this one has me wanting to come back again for sure! One of the ladies bathrooms even has a change table so that was super appreciated.

I would say this is the best Chinese buffet in the city. It has a great selection of soups including wonton and hot and sour, authentic Chinese dishes like garlic green beans, stir-fried meat and vegetables, bbq pork, seafood of some kind like shrimp, clams and mussels, dim sum, even bbq pork and cocktail buns! A few kinds of sushi, salad bar and desserts like mango pudding, red bean soup and tapioca . There's also lots of choices for non-Asians who may not be as adventurous, such as chicken balls, deep fried shrimp, dry ribs, chicken wings, jello and ice cream to name a few. This restaurant is attached to a Travelodge which looks like it needs an update in decor. There's parking on both sides of the building and is located along 118 Ave. so it's accessible by transit. The restaurant is big and can accommodate large parties. I've bumped into someone I know every time I've eaten here! I would recommend reservations. I've been here for lunch and dinner, the price is higher for dinner but we noticed they have crab legs and roast beef in the evening. We paid $20.99 for lunch and seniors are $2 off. The taste of everything is good considering it's a buffet. They do have hot sauce, soy sauce, sweet and sour, etc. available to help yourself. This place is definitely recommended if you are wanting a variety of Chinese food!

*Skip the Dishes Review* This place is not bad at all. I was expecting it to be terrible when my mom suggested "Chinese from the old Beverly Crest." If you factor that it's in a sketchy dive area of town (and therefore you'd expect the worst), and that you're getting a huge amount of decent food for $15 it's pretty darn good. Two people could easily eat the "dinner for one" and be satisfied. Honestly, it resembles your typical food court Chinese which hits the spot just fine sometimes. The chow mein was delicious. Everything was flavoured nicely... and I can't say this enough, I'm blown away by the portions. I will be eating this for lunch tomorrow. I ate less than half. My ooooonly critique is that the chicken was inconsistently cooked. Some was crispy to the point of tough to chew (over-fried?) and some was mushy / soggy. But overall.... very good. Not enough to say don't order it, because I'm just picky about texture. Not a complaint from the other 4 eating it. I initially made this a 3 but as I thought about it, as I wrote... it's really more like a 3.5... and the excellent value rounds it up to a 4. Give it a shot if you want some cheap satisfying eats.

You can actually park your vehicle safely in their free lot now, for up to 2 hours. Security is watching and even checks in with you when you park. As for the food, in my experience it's all been great! The menu is a funny combo of different cuisines, definitely befitting the name "bistro". There are a variety of asian dishes (Chinese, Japanese, Thai), HK-style foods and very traditional western cuisine like beef bourguignon. That one intrigues me, super old school and looks really good. There are also some set menus that come with drinks. It's one of the few places I feel spoiled for interesting selection, hard to make a choice. Chinatown Dining Week has brought me back here three times in as many weeks, got hooked by the beef and sour veg steamed in a lotus wrap. This visit my husband got the gyukatsu set, which was really good if you can live with slightly sweet Glico-style curry. The omurice was perfect. Their katsu particularly is really, really good, better than your average schnitzel, and much cheaper! Have been back a few times and even brought the extended family. There's something for everyone! Everything we've tried has been tasty, fresh and a generous portion. Previously we tried the bistro premium fried rice which had scallops and tobiko, delicious. My food-restricted niece tried the crispy shrimp appy, which were really tasty and more like prawn-size. Not sure she got many back after offering to share with the table. Ah Chinatown. Been coming here my whole life but always get the side-eye, usually from the owner, until ordering. The experience wouldn't be the same without it. The other staff were more genuinely friendly and happy the food was enjoyed. One01Bistro is officially a new family favourite, especially before events at Rogers Place. Psst also... cheap beer.

We quickly grabbed a new set where multiple sets were ready for distribution when neccessary. As Asians, we generally wash all of our bowls and utensils prior using as our practice with hot water or tea (depending on what you ask for). Food - 4/5. The chicken casserole was flavourful, just a lot of bones. The beef was very soft and tender. The sweet and sour pork chops had a thick tangy sauce but good that it had a light batter around the meat, which kept the meat moist. The chicken is the typical dish you can get at most Chinese restaurants. It was interesting that it actually sat in a soy sauce base. The ginger sauce is missing the typical green onions. However, it was seasoned quite well. I didn't take a picture of dessert though. It was red bean with glutinous rice sweet soup. I actually quite enjoyed it. Overall: 3.5/5.
