Met a couple of friends here for the buffet after our first restaurant choice was closed. It was the first time any of us has been here. The location was decently decorated and seemed to be clean and it wasn't too noisy for our table of four to eat and have conversation without competing with neighboring tables overall, a fantastic experience, price and value were definitely good. After looking over the menu, I was impressed with the selection of meat and vegetables included in the buffet, more than similar Korean buffets I have been to. I also liked the number of available sauces to further season the food. Service was fast and efficient. We were seated quickly and our drink order was taken and filled shortly afterward. Staff was really friendly and helpful when we had questions. Soon, our order of meats and veggies arrived and the cooking began. The containers tend to take a fair amount of space on the already small tables so keep that in mind if you order a wide variety of meats. We had to stack the containers as we cooked the meat but the server removed them pretty quickly. One really neat feature of the tables I enjoyed was a plate warmer at each seat location, at least in the booths. That helped keep the cooked meat warm while waiting for the other cooking food to complete. Very nice touch. I will definitely return the next time. I'm in town. read more

Yakiniku is one of mine and my daughter's favorite places to eat. When we don't grill, my daughter loves to order the ramen & yakisoba. I make a meal of appetizers - cucumber salad, gyoza, and clear soup. When we do grill we get an assortment of meats and lettuce to make lettuce wraps. The food is always fresh. The servers are always polite, knowledgeable and kind. Since I am a fan of K Pop, I enjoy that they play it in the dining room, but never so loud you can't talk over diner. read more

Yakiniku is an experience and the food is delicious! You can order the Korean BBQ and/or Hot buffet (from the menu to your table). It includes cooked starters such as rice, noodles, spicy chicken, spring rolls, wontons, gyoza, etc.. and many protein and veggie options to cook yourself. The beef bulgogi and flank steak were awesome! Shrimp was nice and fresh. The meat is already marinated, but there is also a spice and sauce bar in case you want to take it up a notch. I put a mixture of green onion, minced garlic and cilantro on the beef **chef's kiss**. Note: Other than the short rib, they give you a hefty portion of meat per selection. I suggest maybe ordering 1 or 2 meats per person and if you want more or to try something different later, request it at that time because there is a $13 per lb up-charge for wasting food. Price for the all-you-can-eat buffet is $30.99pp (at the moment). Yakiniku does have lunch specials, value packages for groups, bento boxes, and options if you don't want to cook yourself, but that is really part of the experience and it's super easy. Ambiance is family-friendly, good for groups. Overall, I loved it! A few things that I think would provide a better experience: - If the servers clean or switch out the grill like at other KBBQ spots once it gets dry or too charred. You could probably just request this though. - Different tongues or handlers for each meat instead of one since you're dealing with raw meat (and maybe some sanitizing wipes at the table). read more

I'm in town for business and have traveled plenty across the US. I found this place on yelp. Although, the food was ok, 1) they lack of condiments for the price. They only have roasted peanuts, seaweed salad, and kimchi today. Others I have been for the price have lots of condiments. 2) They didn't warm up the grill while they prepare our order. Typically, most Korean resto I've been will warm up the grill on low heat before they bring out the meat. She didn't check on us if we needed anything else while grilling our meat; like reapplying oil 3) server seems to be overwhelmed, place is very busy. The service was ok. Atmosphere is cute. originally they just had kbbq but they recently added hotpot and it was the best day of my life. the meat is very high grade and they give large portions. the only downside is they don't have an ipad to order so you have to wait for your server to come around. our server was very attendant in making sure we were always stocked. there were so many options for kbbq and hotpot. it felt like we were the only ones there in our little corner. we were in a full restaurant but it was like we were the only ones in the restaurant. i would go here daily if i could. read more

okay, so yes. the one thing I really appreciated about this spot was how neat and defined they cut up the meat, it makes it easier to cook especially if you feel weird about raw meat haha. this is definitely one of the best Korean bbq places I have eaten at. the stoves are round here (i am used to square-shaped stoves) so just thought i add some differences i noticed. we came here & ordered the 3 meal combo with our choice of meat and dessert. their combos here are great deals & would recommend for those who want a taste of something different in the mississippi area. with the combo you also get to choose a dessert as well, in addition to appetizers to start. this will be my new go-to spot when i want fresh cooked meat & rice :) read more

5/14/21 This is not my first time eating here (I got the grill special my first time coming) but this time I got the chicken hibachi! I really love the vibe and esthetic of this restaurant. Service was great, now let's get to the food. I love the edamame, soup and other little dishes they bring out before the meal. The chicken hibachi with the vegetables came out piping hot and well seasoned. As always a meal isn't top tier without the pink sauce and Yakiniku did not disappoint! 10/10 read more

Really beautiful restaurant! We had an excellent server! We went pretty basic and had the shrimp & chicken hibachi,. The shrimp was excellent, it was cooked & seasoned well! They give you some free goodies to nibble while you wait! Kimchi & some pickled cucumbers. The hot paste they have is not hot at all! They weren't socially distancing the tables instead only using the left side of the restaurant. But overall all we had a good experience and will return & recommend! Overpriced, under seasoned, under portioned, unimaginative. A few words that describe my last few dates as well as Yakiniku. If you're going to charge $11 per serving of kbbq it better be: marinated, a meaty cut, not icy from being frozen, more than 5 pieces. bonchon given to accompany your meal shouldn't be soggy or old. As sweet as our server was, forgetting silverware, napkins & tongs for the kbbq is a little disheartening. The bulgolgi sizzling plate was drowned in so much sauce it was like eating meat spaghetti. Flavor was there, but having to slurp food is somewhat odd. The hibachi plate my friend ordered was seasoned well, and had a decent portion. The drinks we ordered were good, but had little alcohol in it. Now here's where things take a turn (if they haven't already) There is a simple rule you need to follow when in the service industry: I don't care what time you close, I don't care how bad you need to leave, I don't care how much you have to do to CLOSE your restaurant; you NEVER turn off the lights when people are still dining in your establishment. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU TURN OFF THE LIGHTS IN SECTION WHERE ONLY ONE PARTY IS SITTING. I have been very blessed to have traveled coast to coast to have Korean BBQ and never have had an establishment charge so much for so little. I am aware this is the first restaurant of its kind here but the bar must be set in hell if this is the top tier. read more

Solid eats! Only kbbq place we have that I know of for sure. Greeted and went ahead and got the 11-3pm lunch special for 1. I would definitely recommend to most the grill is very functional and they set the temp for you so you don't have to worry about that. Set comes with three condiments - teriyaki - goujang( I think but never asked so I assumed lol ) - seasme oil. I used these to dip my meats and also your meal come with pickled daikon raddish - cucumber Kimchi along with regular kimchi. My order was 3 meats for 19 lunch special. I chose the short rib - toro beef - chicken breast and a side order of duck breast. Everything was great! This place is brand spanking new so they need room to grow as any business does, but for a visit in the 1st week of opening, it was a delight! I love the lights on the ceiling of the name and the chairs and booths are comfortable. Noise : It's louder than usual and there's not much to absorb or break up the sound, but it's easy enough to hear people at your table talk and that's good enough for me. The reason for the 4 is the sound level. Service (5): My server was the most courteous young woman who checked on me, got me whatever I needed and even more! She was incredibly kind and efficient and that made everything that much better! The owner also came to check on me Miranda, and she was kind and attentive to listen to the feedback I had. She genuinely wants to serve customers and make this a great place to eat and spend time with others! Food (4): Note I didn't eat BBQ. I'll update this when I have the full experience. Korean Pancakes (seafood): I did expect more seafood and veggies so a thicker pancake, but for the first Korean Pancake I've had in this area at a restaurant, it was delicious. It was fried perfectly with a tad crunch on the edges and soft on the inside. I personally didn't like the sauce that came with it ( it was a good sauce just not for me on pancakes). It's a sweet dipping sauce. I grew up eating mine with soy sauce and sesame seed oil so I like a more savory sauce, but you may enjoy it. I recommend trying a bite with their sauce and a bite with soy sauce to see which you prefer. They have room for improvement but it was a great pancake! Fried Avocado: They were perfect! They stayed fresh, the batter was not too greasy and it was just the right amount of crunch with the soft perfectly ripe avocado. read more
