The Kouzina (Huntertown, Indiana) - new Greek restaurant option in Huntertown…read more First time visiting The Kouzina in Huntertown...but not the last! Make your way to downtown Huntertown to try fresh Greek offerings. The shop is in the old Timmy's BBQ location if that helps. The Kouzina is a very small restaurant. There is only one table that seats two people inside. You can eat outside. Parking is located behind the restaurant (see pictures). The menu is very small (see picture) and full of Greek only food specialties. You will find the traditional Greek gyros, salads, desserts and appetizers. A unique highlight are pizzas made the "Greek way". Every item we tried was delicious. Here is a brief description of the items we ordered: -Gryo Pizza: very cheesy, soft buttery crust that tastes like a breadstick, 12" pizza that is pretty filling -Greek salad: very fresh and tasty, seems to keep growing as you eat it -Gyro Sandwich: tender gyro meat, tastes fresh, rice side cooked and seasoned perfectly -Spanakopita: very light & flaky, freshly baked, very mild spinach taste The food was outstanding! The owners and Triada are wonderful people. They took time to get to know us as business slowed at the end of the night. Excellent individuals who are authentically Greek, passionate about their food and committed to serving their customers well. Give The Kouzina a try!

You need to try BB's if you love Indian food or you have always wanted to try it. It is simply…read moreexcellent! You can find BB's in the old Atz Ice Cream building on North Anthony. The building is dated as is the interior. It is nicely decorated to fit the Indian motif. The booths, while comfortable, are very dated. The place is clean and can be very busy. You will definitely catch the pleasant aroma of Indian spices when you walk in the door. The team here is very friendly and on the move. There was plenty of help to serve. The gentleman that refilled drinks was excellent - especially if you ordered something a bit hotter than you expected. The waitress was kind and pleasant but somewhat difficult to track down at times. The menu is very large. They offer a wide variety of dishes from appetizers to breads to entrees. BB's offers southern Indian cuisine which is uncommon. We started with the tomato soup - outstanding!! It's not your mother's milk creamy soup. BB's tomato soup has a rich tomato taste. It is smooth and creamy and slightly thick. You will find a slight bit of spicy flavor. I can't brag on this selection enough! The garlic naan bread was fairly standard. Fresh, soft, slight garlic flavor. The bread was slightly chewy. Another well done offering! My wife had the chicken tiki masala. Very tasty! The sauce was creamy and rich. She choose a mild level of spice which didn't have much heat at all - perfect for her! The chicken was tender and the rice was perfectly cooked. I went with the chicken dum biryani. I ordered medium which ended up being a bit too spicy for me. They offer mild, medium and hot. I suggest starting with mild on your first visit if you could be spice level sensitive. The dum chicken was very tender and could be cut with a fork. There was an ample amount of chicken in this dish. The long grain basmati rice was perfectly cooked. The spice flavors radiated from the temperature hot dish. Each spoonful was full of flavor. This dish came with a side of yogurt and chili sauces. The yogurt sauce held moisten the dish while taming the spicy chicken. Overall, an outstanding presentation and flavor. The team made the experience enjoyable. The food was outstanding! Give it a try!!

Jefferson spot while on lunch for work - Not too shabby. By no means is this place an authentic Greek restaurant, but the food was alright, it was well-priced (comparatively to other restaurants around town that are price gouging customers), friendly service, and it was clean inside. $25 for two gyro combo meals is def worth it, but know that it's very average Greek food (worth a stop back though). When you first pull into the parking lot, you don't think much of it as the building next to the convenience store is abandoned. It does not have a beautiful façade but when you walk in, it's a mom and Pop small ethnic grocery store. You order your food at the counter. The menu is kind of limited however there is quite a bit of healthy options. We went with the lamb kebab over rice and the gyro sub. unfortunately, I did not realize that the prices go up if you pay with credit card, so remember to bring cash if you want to save money. After you place your order you can wander this very small aisles to look at a variety of different drink options, etc. The food did take a little bit longer than expected to prepare. The lamb kebab over rice was delicious and had the perfect balance of spice. The sub itself unfortunately was a little disappointing. Maybe I'm not familiar with New York style subs, but I found the bread to be underwhelming and the actual ingredients inside the sub to be slightly disappointing. I think it would be better to serve the euro in a pita. I don't know about the other sandwiches that other people rave about however, maybe I will try that the next time we come in with cash, of course.
