When you first pull into the parking lot, you don't think much of it as the building next to the convenience store is abandoned. It does not have a beautiful façade but when you walk in, it's a mom and Pop small ethnic grocery store. You order your food at the counter. The menu is kind of limited however there is quite a bit of healthy options. We went with the lamb kebab over rice and the gyro sub. unfortunately, I did not realize that the prices go up if you pay with credit card, so remember to bring cash if you want to save money. After you place your order you can wander this very small aisles to look at a variety of different drink options, etc. The food did take a little bit longer than expected to prepare. The lamb kebab over rice was delicious and had the perfect balance of spice. The sub itself unfortunately was a little disappointing. Maybe I'm not familiar with New York style subs, but I found the bread to be underwhelming and the actual ingredients inside the sub to be slightly disappointing. I think it would be better to serve the euro in a pita. I don't know about the other sandwiches that other people rave about however, maybe I will try that the next time we come in with cash, of course.

We ordered the mixed grill platter which serves 2-3 people. While it wasn't cheap ($90 with tip), you get a ton of food and it was all awesome. The service was great as always, but a little slow (you can tell the restaurant keeps minimal staff on hand to keep overhead down). The food took a while to come out, but it was excellent. All-in-all, our meal was great, but we both agreed we prefer to go to for lunch vs. dinner - Nevertheless, we'll be back again, as Deema is one of the best places in town to get Middle Eastern food.

At exactly 11:00 the staff pulled up and turned on the lights! I gave them 15 minutes to fire up the woks and by 12:00 I was eating tea leaf salad followed by lamb shank biryani! The lamb and rice were succulent and the best around! The Burmese hot tea was spicy, sweet and delicious! The tea leaf salad was tremendous! All the other diners were men and women dressed in traditional garb and speaking what I can only guess was Arabic or Burmese!
