My husband and I ordered delivery this evening and everything was delicious! We've ordered from several gyros locations and this one topped all orders we've placed in the past. All additional sauces/items/special requests were added (which has been a struggle for other businesses to read and provide) making this an extremely pleasant and fantastic experience! The gyros were flavorful and amazing! Even the fries and pita bread were hot and perfect upon arrival! We will for sure order from this location in the very near future! read more

This location is among the best in Ft Wayne for Greek food. Always leave there stuffed, with leftovers, because they pile everything so high. The gyros plate is nearly 3/4 of a pound of meat! Along with their special seasoned fries, and the largest "large" drink in the area. Service is typical fast food, and although they lack Greek decoration, the food is authentic. Baklava to die for. read more

Always fast service, nice customer service, good quality and fresh ingredients. I wish they'd put more cucumber in the tzaki though and use real yogurt and not sour cream. Otherwise it's very good read more

All King Gyros are NOT created equal. This one is hands down, the best one!!! My husband won their first ever hot dog eating contest, last year. One of the prizes was a discount every time he wears his King Gyros shirt, when we go in there. So we put it to use tonight. Let me just say that EVERYTHING there is amazing, every time!!! Their tzatziki sauce is top notch!!! The staff is always super friendly and helpful. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. The gyro meat is always seasoned perfectly, the pitas are somehow both perfectly crispy on the outside, but super soft in the middle! It's all so reasonably priced as well! read more

King Gyros - 1/4 lb cheese burger & gyro plate along with all the fixings! - Greek Near Me - Fort Wayne, Indiana

Quick delivery and yummy tenderloin sandwiches, onion rings, and mushrooms. We will order from there again soon

The Gyros here are a solid 5 stars. I crave the gyro meat, tomato, onion, tzatziki sauce pita delight. It's a must but now I've developed a gluten allergy. I opted to the Gyro meat Greek salad. While it was good, make sure to ask for the dressing on the side because mine was soaked. I also missed the tzatziki sauce which I would've preferred. My family all had the gyro pitas and loved! read more

This place is amazing! The amount of food and flavor will blow you away. The gyro plate will feed two people and won't break the bank

Had King Gyros for the second time and I must say this is one of the best gyros I have had. The wife ordered pick-up and brought the goodies home. We each had the beef gyro and split a Greek salad and as was the case with our first visit, it was great. If you haven't tried already, do yourself a favor and give this a play a try! read more

King Gyros - Yummy gyro from King Gyro - Greek Near Me - Fort Wayne, Indiana

Everytime I have ever came here my fries are always pop in hot!!gyro is the bomb!! I want to try the ribs but always go to my go to. This place is well managed and it definitely shows. Always a great experience getting my Gyros here!! read more

Restaurant Review I feel like King Gyro is the equivalent of Portillos for a person from Illinois. It is a small greasy spoon burger, gyro, hot dog place that is a town favorite. We were looking for some gyros in Fort Wayne and realize there were not many options available. The restaurant itself has plenty of parking. Staff was quick to take the order from a walk up window. The gyro itself had plenty of protein and cooked well without it dripping in grease. The fries were also the skinnier version, cooked well in fresh oil without the discoloration you would see with old oil. Now why 3 stars, I had the burger as well and it just isn't that good. I feel like it is something you can make with a frozen patty from GFS food service. The meat itself is not very tasty and it is just a pile of toppings on top after that. Maybe I try something else the next time I visit read more

King Gyros - Gyro - Greek Near Me - Fort Wayne, Indiana

I've never been to King Gyros but I'm glad I finally tried it! I got the Breaded Pork Tenderloin, which is an odd voice for a gyro place, but it was probably the best I've had yet! It was so tasty and juicy! And the fries were nice and crunchy and so were the onion rings! I will definitely go back to try the gyros for sure!! read more

Best service! Fast service! Hot food! Lots of food for the price ! Cheeeeeesy grilled cheese!!! Yummm! 10/10

they got the order wrong and handed it to us . and then we noticed it was wrong they said they can't refund us or make it new because we "touched it " and i used to work there and there kitchen is digusting and if the health inspectors walked in there they would be shut down read more

Stopped here this evening for the first time and got the barbecue the row plate service was good in the euro was great. I will definitely return read more

Went here for dinner and the food was standard. Service is quick and friendly. It's a tad pricey for quick fast food but the portions are large. The fries are Crispy and fresh and worth ordering. Their burger I ordered was juicy and drippy and fresh and tasted really good. The gyro was dry but full of meat and little veggies. A side of extra taziki sauce would have been great. I went thru the drive thru and since it was my first time staff was Patient and answered my questions. It wasn't busy at the time so that made me happy to take my time. I'm not sure I'd go again for a couple of reasons, it's pretty far from my house and I'm the only one who likes Greek food in my household. They won't even give it a try even though there are burgers and such. Def a must try because it's local and I try to visit I local and new places I've never been. read more

Lunch @ King Gyros on Goshen Avenue was definitely 5 stars! Ribeye steak sandwich, onion rings/fries w/cheese sauce, chili w/cheese & onions, all were absolutely delicious!!! If you haven't been, what are you waiting for? If you have been, it's time to go back!!! read more

Food is good and and is Near A Traffic Circle been a while since I eat here. So Far a Good Burger Place.

My favorite King Gyros in Fort Wayne. They put the meat on thick here at this location (downtown not so much) I like the Gyros and them rib tips, lots of meat more than what you get downtown. Nice Greek family wanting to put the meat on thick here, extra rib tips and fries close to closing time. Downtown kind of skimpy, not at this location, they pack the meat on thick. Nice Greek family, nice little spot and you don't gotta go all the way downtown. read more

This is my new favorite gyro spot in Fort Wayne. Recently dropped in and picked up a group plate, which was easily enough food to make 3 gyros. Looking forward to the next trip out for lunch. read more

This is definitely the better out of the two locations in town. My boyfriend and I frequent here at least once a week. We always order the rib tip and gyro plate. They have delicious rib tips and the best barbecue sauce in town! I also really enjoy their Greek salad, but I usually ask for them to go light on the sauce. :) read more

It was good, ive had better gyros with 100% lamb though. Portions were huge though. Also took a spicy Italian sandwich to go. Not bad. Nice people running the place, and orders came out timely. read more

Wish I could give more stars, I'm from Florida and we have some nice gyro places down there, but uh... King gyros knocks them all off the wall! Never thought I'd find the ultimate Gyro place in ft. Wayne Indiana, but 100% I'd go here any day. Great prices, extremely tasty food, and fair warning you better be hungry. Amazing service as well! This place friggin rocks!!!! Opaaaa! read more

The Greek salad is always fresh and taste great. The cod was a lil bland tasting , and my bread was soggy.

So this place is kind of a local institution, and maybe I'm just too much of an "outsider," but I don't get it. In the Fort Wayne subreddit, people talk about this place as if eating there is one step away from seeing God. Maybe this location is preferable to the one on Jefferson, but that's a pretty low bar. The people at King Gyros are perfectly friendly, but the food is just not good. I've had the gyros there a few times - because I was *sure* something was wrong the other times - but each visit the food seems bad in distinct ways. The pita is unremarkable, with no flavor or texture, barely holding the gyro together. The meat is abundant but dry and lacking the punch of spice you'd expect from a good gyro. There is always a crazy amount of onions - almost as much (by volume) as there is meat. But worst of all is the tzatziki sauce, which tastes like equal parts Miracle Whip and cucumbers. No real creaminess, no herbs, no garlic, just strange oily texture and overwhelming cucumber. I want to like King Gyros, especially since it seems run by good people and offers good service. But the dish in your restaurant's name should be superlative, and I'm sorry to say I don't know how anyone finds their's even mediocre. read more

The service is terrible. We specifically went there on the way to a friend function for food, before they closed at 8:30. We ordered. Went to our event, came home, and realize that our gyro plate and gyro with feta came, but with no pita bread. And we called, at 6:45. We live on Dupont Road. The king hero we went to is on Goshen. We were in for the night. When we called, we said we would send a picture of what we got. We asked to be able to come out there again, for our pita bread plus a few extra And maybe some extra cheese. They said, no, you can come out for your pita bread that was missed on your order. We ended up with the telephone person telling us to bring the stuff back and they would refund us our money. So we waste more gas, take the items back, get refunded, and order the right one fresh. Teach your customer service people to understand that the customer is right when they call for something that is just general principle. will never come to this establishment again and I suggest you don't either. read more

Food is very good. Service is very timely, especially for 7 pm. I have to give them a knock on rating due to the fact that everything is nickel and dimed out of you. The platter is easily for 2 to 3 people but, only comes with one pita and you have to pay for the extra bread. If it is for multiple gyros and people, why would you charge them extra just so the platter can be eaten? Refills are extra, btw. I've worked in the restaurant business for 10 years behind the scenes, refills don't cost very much in the first place and it is rude to charge when your customers are paying $1.59 for a small drink full of ice. The decor needs to be updated and represent the outside which, honestly, made me want to come in to eat. A few changes could really bring in more customers and returning customers. If you want great gyros, come here but, be prepared to be confused by the menu and pay extra for things that should be included, especially on the platter orders. read more

I haven't eaten here in a few years. I forgot how fabulous this place is....great food. Not only that but they give you a ton of food and the service was great. Pleasant and fairly quick as well. I won't wait so long come back just wish it was closer to work!! read more

In a word, disgusting. It's the gyros equivalent of Powers. The onion there tastes as though they marinate it in condensed onion juice. I couldn't get the smell out of my hands for hours, no matter how much I scrubbed them. Laughably, I'd asked for no onion. The cucumber sauce, which is nothing like real tzatziki, is thin and insipid. The meat, well, the meat isn't terrible (again, too much onion) and the bread is ok. My problem is that it is nothing like a true gyros. I've had them in several parts of Greece and in Turkey. Maybe if you were to just get the meat and bread and put it together at home with your own condiments, the correct condiments, it would be okay. But then, you may as well make your own. read more
