Took an address and a couple of pants to be altered. Very satisfied with the work. They were very accommodating. I would definitely go back.

Used them to get a dress and a suit tailored. They did it on very short notice (1 day) and got it done right. Definitely would use again!!

If there is negative , I would! I altered 2 bridesmaids dress, only the length. How can any experienced tailor mess that up? They charge me $70 for it, Bc cause it was a large piece. (Its a damn dress only! How large can it be!?) turn out it was way too short now. They did not leave room for the seam to roll up! N it's uneven!! Wtf??? I called just to ask about the turn around time and how much it cost to fix a broken zipper on a day dress. A women as swerved the phone and said "hello" and I had to make sure I was calling the right place. When I asked her she told me it depends sometimes $15, $20, $25 and then just hung up. I live a few minutes away so I went in this gentleman greeted me and was looked at my dress and said $17. It would be ready in a week. I will update my review once I get my dress back to review the quality of the work. read more

I typically don't post reviews but my experience today was pretty bad. I took a work skirt for a very simple alteration and although the cost was very low, I wanted pay with credit card bc I don't carry cash. He asked for cash and when I said I don't carry any, he more than doubled the price and became horribly rude. There were no signs about a minimum cost for transactions and he ultimately refused my credit card offer and told me to leave. Honestly, I have no problem paying a bit more bc of minimums but that doesn't give the right to treat any customer the way he did. There's no telling what else might occur if that's his business mindset. I will not go back. read more

This place is straight up ridiculous. I brought a dress in here to get the length altered. Over the phone she told me 10-20 dollars after I described the dress and what I needed done (just the length). When I came in, they asked me to try the dress on with, which I did, etc etc. After the lady chalked the length out. Got changed and then went to fill out a receipt. I asked her how much at the register and she said 70 DOLLARS. Let me remind you, I only got about 1.5 inches up and it wasn't a layered dress or anything like that. I was freaking SHOCKED. When I told her that was crazy, and that I wanted to shop around, she said she was charging me 20 dollars for her TIME. She literally did the Chalk part in a damn minute and want 20 damn dollars?!? You're smoking crack lady! I told her that they need to put a damn sign somewhere staying that and not pull a number out of their butt crack. I kept arguing with both the man and the woman there and got it down to 55 because I need this dress done ASAP. I told them ahead of time I needed it for Thursday too and they tried to tell me it wasn't going to be done until Saturday. After I sat there and tried to reason with them for 15 minutes on how absurd it was to already charge me 55 and not have it done by Thursday like they originally told me- wasn't going to fly, they finally agreed to the Thursday time line. I mentioned I was going to let everyone know about this incident on yelp. Doubt they even know what yelp is about but people, THIS ISNT WHERE YOU SHOULD TAKE YOUR CLOTHES. I should've charged them double what I had to pay for wasting MY time. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Since my original review, I've had Y Tailor do several more things for me, including shortening the sleeves of a hockey jersey and altering a suit (coat and pants). I'm still very impressed with their service and will continue to use them for all of my alteration needs. read more

I took a pair of nice jeans here to get hemmed. When I went to the shop, I wore the shoes I would normally want to wear with the jeans, a pair of casual sandals. The lady running the shop was nice, had me try on the jeans, checked with me that the length would be ok where she stuck the needle, and took my information. When I went back a week later to pick them up, she did not have me try them on- which I thought was weird. I got home and realized they were still an inch and a half too long. I took them back a few days later and she hemmed them again for no additional charge. I think there had been a miscommunication- she thought I would wear the jeans with heels, but never asked me. The quality of the work was great. You absolutely could not tell that the jeans had been altered. If you go, just make sure you are clear with your expectations! read more

I brought a dress in to be hemmed and have the straps brought up. A week & $23 later I picked it up. All the sudden, the bust is oddly darting out so I brought it back in. Another week later I pick it up & they try to charge me again! Luckily I kept my receipt. They argued in front of me for a few minutes (in a foreign language) and told me ok. Neither of us were very happy...definitely won't be back :( read more

Another great experience at this location! I have been traveling a lot and couldn't get my shirts altered and was looking forward to get them fixed! As I walked in, the owner recognized me and told me she hasn't seen me in awhile. Which made me feel very welcome. It's nice to be remembered. I dropped off 6 dress shirts and 3 dress pants. She measured one of each and asked if I wanted all to be done same way. The pick up date was a week which was completely fine with me but asked if they could be done a little earlier since I had to go on another trip and won't be back for awhile. She said no problem. After 4 days, I went back to pick up my clothes and tried them on. Remember she only measured one of each, but they all fit as they were individually measured and pinned! I was a one happy camper. Tried couple of other alteration shops in north dallas area but the quality and service doesn't come near this place! Highly recommend to anyone else looking for their clothes fixed! read more

Had them hem two pair of Bill's Khakis for me as well as repair a hole in the seat of my suit pants. Both jobs were done on time and the work was excellent. Repair to the suit pants was pretty near invisible. My wife has had several pairs of expensive jeans hemmed there as well and both were done expertly. Staff is courteous and friendly and prices are reasonable. It's nice to have a good, reliable tailor right in the neighborhood. We highly recommend Y tailor. read more

Almost each time I've been there they overcharge. They say one price upfront and when you come back to pick up the item and pay, the price is different!! At the beginning I thought maybe I misunderstood or didn't remember the price quoted correctly, but when it happened the fourth time I figured what they are up to. Once I brought 2 pairs of branded jeans and they cut them too short, basically ruining them! When I told her they might be too short during the measurements she insisted it is skinny jeans and they have to be cut like that. My jeans were straight cut, not skinny, so basically she ruined both of my pairs!!! Definitely will not come back nor recommend. read more
