Y&B is AWESOME! Today was my first day going there and I let them know beforehand I had a strict time schedule due to a doctor's appointment an hour later. Despite knowing I was unable to stay for even a whole hour, they didn't hesitate to take me. They worked so fast, but thoroughly and efficiently, to get me out in time, all while teaching me this and that about nail care that I was clueless to. I left so happy (and not late to my appointment) with a beautiful, high-quality full set and pedicure. All this and the prices for everything, fill-ins, waxes, pedis, etc, are fantastic. On yelp this nail salon has high ratings. Though I'm not too sure why. I've been to this place multiple times. It's close to where I live so it makes it convenient. The place itself is okay. It's clean that's about it. Now onto the actual nail service. I get shellac and manicure every other week. When the gentleman or the lady that owns the place do my nails. It comes out great half the time. When I get the other lady it's shit. The inconsistency is what annoys me and why I've been back multiple times. I had a fill and a fix with shellac. Good selection of colors and not an over whelming amount like some places. Perfectly shaped, perfect length (for me) and all around pleasant experience. I went in for a refill yesterday (10/15) around 5:30 pm. The place was completing empty with no music or TV playing at all. SILENCE the ENTIRE nail appointment.The lady was extremely rude. She even repeatedly told me "I know you want to go home, I want to go home too". I am not sure what type of business is ran here but this is not what I expected from a high ranked nail salon. She made me feel like she needed to rush so she could go home. The nail salon closes at 7 so she had plenty of time to complete my nails without making me feel uncomfortable. I've recently moved to Spring and have been looking for my go to nail salon. This place was so friendly and welcoming that I liked it right away. I only had to wait about 15 minutes for an acrylic full set. The man doing my nails was accommodating and checked in with me throughout my appointment to make sure I was happy with his service. They also had a pretty good selection of nail colors, although I do wish they carried more of the Essie brand. The salon was clean and well kept, and stayed busy the entire time I was there. When I first got my set, they were absolutely beautiful. The nail techs were wonderful. I go back for a fill, and the woman was taking her bad day out on my nails. The owner has made the situation right by refunding my money, but I will not be going back or recommending this nail salon. Excellent!! I only created this yelp account because I had to share my experience here. I am from FL and am only here for a few weeks. There are so many nail salons in the Woodlands area I had no idea where to go! So I took a shot in the dark and picked this Y & B place. My nails were 3 weeks worn and torn from my less-than-awesome place in FL, so I went in to get a fill. There was no one in the salon other than two female nail techs. The equipment wasn't outstanding and the nail examples seemed a little old. I gave it a try anyways. My nails look AWESOME! I asked for a sparkle gradient, which the older nail tech taught my nail tech, Yen, how to do that session. Yen did a FABULOUS FABULOUS job. She really took her time and listened to exactly what I wanted. You can't even see a trace of the old nail that I had, a truly flawless fill. It just goes to show you that fancy equipment and advertisement doesn't make the nail tech any better. ASK FOR YEN!!! She is so sweet and good at what she does! I wish I could bring her and Y & B back to Clearwater FL with me so that she could be my go-to-girl!!!! A++ read more

While this place does have great customer service I couldn't help but post a review about the quality of my acrylics. After 2 days they started lifting and 6 days later I started losing nails one by one. I have never in my life had acrylics just fall off for no reason until coming here. I went with a friend and hers starting falling off the day before mine. I paid $88 for my nails to look nice for a few days. I will be going back and having them take them off for free and try to get a refund. read more

Really unhappy with my experience. I came in for a pedi and full set. I asked for the price of the full set and when I paid they charged me $5 extra. My pedicure was not worth the price. It was a rushed service and did not feel relaxed. My feet don't feel smooth like they do after I go to other places. My nail set was a mess. The nails are uneven and bumpy. Some are longer than others and some are ticker than others. I like my nails long and coffin shape I had to tell them twice to reshape my nails. And when I asked for long the manicurist took it upon himself to choose my length with out my consents. I had to say longer 2 times then take my nail out the nail cutter before he cut it. I am not sure if they have customer preference but I noticed that 2 girls came in with an appointment and they were even offered a drink and they kept apologizing for the wait while they were rushing with my nails. That really upset me. I don't care if I had an appointment or not, I was still a customer who was paying for a good service/ experience. They only coated and set my nails once before they rushed me out the door. My nails look dull. Not to mention while I was there two customers were turned away because they said they were busy or had appointments. I was the only person in the salon. Never going back again. read more
