Xuan Bakery is a great spot for a variety of Chinese buns! Inside is well-lighted and spotless clean. The prices are cheaper than the recent "fancy" Chinese bakeries popping up, and the food feels generous for the price point. Their hours are long too -- 9am to 7pm! They sell a variety of sweet and savoury (especially savoury! lots of options) buns, sandwiches, bread, cookies and cake. There is coffee and tea too. Samples are given out too, so it's great to be able to try some of the stuff before buying. I found the savoury buns not too salty/saucy, and the sweet buns not too sweet. It's great if you like more subtle flavours. Out of the many different buns I got, my fav was the steak bun. More a hamburger patty than a steak though, but satisfying meaty and filling. Their HK coffee milk tea was satisfying too. I appreciated them asking sugar or no sugar -- I went with sugar, and it was not too sweet (again, a plus!). Overall, highly recommend if you are in the area.

This Chinese bakery has some unique buns that you must try. They have their famous Portuguese tarts and amazing strawberry or mango croissants. Pork floss buns. Cream buns. And of course the classic egg tart and bo lo bao. Gotta come check it out!!

Bright and welcoming bakery! The ladies working were all very friendly and made me happy leaving the store. There's a small seating area and the store overall is clean.

Absolute delight coming to this bakery! Super clean, staff is very friendly and offered a bunch of samples to try before buying! Their baked goods are Hong Kong style buns from sweet the savoury. They also have great coconut bread, fresh baguettes and loafs. After 6 pieces you can purchase without tax! I ordered the: Garlic Bread - 8/10 Fresh Mango and cream croissant - 9/10 Coconut golden brick - 8.5/10 Cheese and ham stick - 8/10 Everything was very delicious, fairly priced and staff were so friendly, definitely recommend and will be back!

Xuan bakery is amazing! The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. They're joyfully giving out samples, and selling their goods in a fun way. We bought 6 different items, and they were all so delicious. They also gave us a free egg tart because it was "ugly" and not sellable A must-visit spot for anyone who loves great pastries!

The cakes were great, the space was inviting, and the customer service was really good. We got offered free samples and even a free dessert.

What a gem! This bakery is tucked into the southeast corner…read moreof Yonge & College, and walking inside feels like stepping straight into Japan. The pastries and mochi breads are absolutely exquisite! I tried the black sesame mochi bread--light, pillowy, and filled with a delightful little white mochi surprise. The crème brûlée almond tart was incredible too, with its thick, eggy custard and a blueberry-almond center. And the Hitotoki matcha tart? Gorgeous and just perfect. It was my first visit, and I discovered the bakery through their 2nd-anniversary IG post. I bought about $20 worth of treats and got to spin their prize wheel--and I actually won the Grand Prize: a limited-edition gold Nespresso & milk frother kit! I literally jumped for joy. Yet another reason to love this incredible bakery!

It was okay. Tried three items:…read more Matcha Lava Tart - The staff said this had the strongest matcha flavour among their matcha items. But there was no "lava" at all... just a layer of cream sitting on a thick tart base. You do get some matcha flavour, but definitely not that rich and flowing matcha sauce I saw in those online reels. Matcha Mont Blanc - Too sweet. The green noodle-shaped topping is actually made from a kind of bean paste - not much matcha taste, but had a strong bean flavour instead. And again, it was too sweet to my liking. Taro Tart - This one was good. Taro-flavoured cream on top, with taro paste underneath, then a layer of custard with mochi at the bottom. Had a rich taro flavour. Still a bit sweet, but not as overwhelming as the Mont Blanc. Overall it was not bad, although TBH I haven't really found great matcha desserts in Toronto so far.

My wife always judges a French Cafe by their Butter Croissant ($3.00) and she liked it! She also noticed all the  staff speak French sp it gives it even more legitimacy.  She also ordered a Flat White ($4.50) which was also good. I ordered a Plum Almond Tart ($7.25) because it was the prettiest. It was super delicious so it was definitely a good choice! Service was courteous and friendly. You place your order at the counter and bring it to your table. Someone will come around to clear the dishes when you are done It is a great place to have a nice casual time eating and socializing. They make all their food in-house in the basement. There are products for sale such as coffee beans, fruit syrup, maple syrup, smoked sauces, olive oil, scented soap, wine glassware, etc. I will definitely come back again to try other items. There is free WiFi. The neo-bisto is not wheelchair accessible since there are stairs leading up to the entrance. There are two gender-neutral washrooms. There is free street parking on their one-way south-bound street. Review 2023-017

Hopped on my bike and a half hour later I was there. The friendly staff helped me by answering my question regarding eggs and which items did not have any in the recipes. This place was also super poppin' when I got there. It was earlish in the day around 10:30am and it seemed all the tables were pretty much taken. They are adding a dinner menu which is very exciting. Their pastries are phenomenal!!! Picked up a plum and pistachio tart, a chocolate mousse cake and an apple Danish for my mom. Plus a chocolate caramelized croissant. So much butter, and yet so good. Brought my container, which they happily used. The last time I visited this spot back in 2022, I vowed I would come back and take up space in that beautiful bay window seat. Yet I haven't followed through with that yet. One day. They also changed the name, since I was there last it was called Le Conciliabule Lab. Le Conciliabule means, "speak easy", as their website says. It was used back in the day to describe a place where people would come together and talk about everything and nothing. I can definitely say that happens here. What a beautiful concept, "everything and nothing". Now named Bisou, which means kiss. That's actually really simple and sweet. Since every pastry and any food item or beverage enjoyed here is a kiss for your tastebuds. Love it. Keep going team. You are amazing!
