I'll just highlight some of their specialty items as they have most of the typical Chinese baked goods. The one item that they had that will likely be the item that will attract me to keep coming back are their mochis. It's a bit pricey for about $4 each but it's very fresh and yummy! I tried their mango mochi and taro mochi and both were fantastic. I tried the ham and cheddercheese bun and it was good which was nicely filled with lots of cheese and ham. There is a pretty big buns selection and flaky pastries which looked pretty good and some reviews had complimented their beef pastry so I'll have to buy some on my next visit. I didn't get a chance to read any reviews before going and realized that I missed getting some of their popopular items like their tuna bun and their egg & spam bun which I'll get on my next visit so I'll be definitely be back!

I bought a 1/2 dozen chicken, 2 beef and a few coco breads. Patties were relatively small compared to what a Jamaican patty should be and light on filling. Crust is definitely 10/10 but the filling is a 6/10. Chicken patty filling was surprisingly fairly spicy but flavor was low salt & bland, coco bread was fresh but just ok. My wife said the beef flavor was also bland & like a thick gravy. The crust was flakey & could have help Jesus feed the multitude, a good thing. I am confident they can do way better in terms of flavor, filling portion & texture. Service was above average and they had a few Jamaican sweets & snacks & I would still recommend but my family told me there are better places around.

They're a nut free bakery. I was intrigued how they made macarons without almond flour and asked what they used instead but unfortunately the employee didn't know. We got a HK milk tea, one of their jumbo cookies and a pack of macarons. The jumbo cookie was too sweet for us. As you can see from the photo, there's a lot of chocolate chips! Some of the macaron flavours kind of tasted the same but the matcha was prominently matcha.

Still on a macaron quest for the best, I decided to drop by on a Tuesday earlier this month, a day before heading to the office for the last time in 2024. The parking lot is behind the bakery. I had no problem backing into an available spot and walking over to the bakery. You can smell the butter as you approach the main entrance. I was excited to check it out. It has buns with various fillings. I completely ignored this section when I saw macaron sets in the display case. I wanted to get it for my friend and colleague. I also got six molten cheese tarts. They looked so good. I thought that it would be perfect to share with my small team. The woman behind the counter was so patient and friendly. I paid with a credit card. I tapped and was good. I then carried my goodies to my car. My friend was happy to get the macarons. I haven't asked him how they were. I will when we are both back in the office. I'll need to get a set for me to enjoy. The molten cheese tarts were a hit. My friend and I loved how delicious and smooth the cheese tart filling was. It had a slight saltiness with the buttery crust that worked so well with the filling. My friend had two. I had two. I offered my manager one. He didn't hesitate. He took his first bite and was sucked into the heavenly goodness of this magical tart. I'm not kidding. It's amazing. I don't recall who ate the last one. I just know that it was gone and I had nothing to bring home. I will return and get some buns. It's funny that I completely ignored that section, but I do know that it exists. (502)

Parking can be busy depending on the restaurants nearby, there is additional parking just south across the road. Service was quick and polite. Food: Black sesame cake. The design is interesting to look at. The cake itself is not bad - not light nor heavy, just the right cake consistency. The black sesame cream has a hint of black sesame in it and adds moisture. The most controversial part of the cake is the little black sesame cubes on the top of the cake. These undeniably have more black sesame flavor but lean towards the drier side. I wish they were a bit more moist but still the black sesame flavor is nice. Price: I do find cakes here on the pricier side and while the flavors are unique, there's a lot of competition with other Asian bakeries where you can get a pretty similar flavor profile for cheaper.

I still think I prefer a richer, chocolatey sponge (it kinda felt like they had a vanilla sponge layer that was soaked in chocolate flavouring only). The mousse was smooth and delicious though. The berries on top were sour unfortunately but the presentation was very pretty. The hazelnuts provided some nice crispy textural bits in every slice. Overall, a very solid cake that wasn't too sweet!

We stopped by a couple times while in Toronto and while we were impressed initially, realized there were much better elsewhere. I nabbed the last pineapple bun with butter since it seemed highly coveted, as well as a normal pineapple bun. The pineapple bun has great flavor but tended to be a little dry. The butter helped a lot, but the bun without butter lacked the moisture - although maybe it was because we didn't buy it fresh in the morning? The trend with the pineapple bun does seem to be that the bread itself is a little dry but the ones with fillings, such as chasiu or butter, gives it the moisture it needs. The egg tarts were standard. Not bad but nothing special - and not something I would come back for. I also got a wife pastry that was not very good. Price wise, it's definitely a little steep. But it may be worth to not having to drive in poor weather to get to Markham or Richmond Hill. I do recommend coming in the morning while the pastries and buns are still fresh - it does seem to be better during the day versus at night.

We got the mango cake which looks amazing as the mango slices are arranged to look like a giant flower. The mangoes were very fresh and sweet. The cake was not bad - like a sponge cake - soft and spongy though I feel could have had a bit more flavor/sugar. In between the layers of the cake are a mix of light cream and mango chunks which was refreshing. The base of the cake has a nice layer of chocolate crunch - kind of like chocolate cornflakes but smaller and more delicious. The textural difference really stands out against the soft cake and smooth mangoes. Would definitely order this cake again!
