Milk chocolate passion fruit cake
Joeann S.

I love their soft serve ice cream, it's perfect in the summer. I tried the blueberry panna cotta soft serve and it was delicious! Sweet and tart at the same time. They have a different flavour every month so i definitely have to go back next month to try. The only thing was because it's soft serve it tends to melt very fast! Service was super fast, we even went on a weekend. The interior is very bright and clean with a butter baker store next to the cafe selling cute little trinkets and things!

This is one of my favourite brunch spots in the city! Their chicken & waffles is my go to order & we love that we can end our meal off with a sweet treat. The monthly soft serve is a must order but their seasonal waffles with vanilla gelato is great. For fall, we tried the caramel apple butter waffle which was divine. This brunch cafe with dine in seating is tucked away in the back of their storefront. The service is always great!

There wasn't a line when I went so it was quite quick to get in and out. The staff were friendly, and the display cases were clean. I was incredibly disappointed by how small the portion was, and I guess it really does depend on who's serving it, I bought one last month and it was quite a bit bigger. This month's flavour was mango pineapple, very much over hyped and I cannot express the level of disappointment with this soft serve. It was quite sweet, and very soft, melted right away. I've had cakes from this place before, and they've been very good.

Really great soft serve, changes flavours each month. This was our first time and we got the Mango Lassi flavour. Really great as it had less sugar and low lactose as well. Recommend people to try

I went here 2 years ago to try their breakfast! It was fairly new at the time, I got a salmon croissant sandwich I don't think it's available anymore. Taste wise, it was just okay the cream cheese was too overpowering with the sandwich. You get seated in the very back of a room. The ambiance is a bit awkward, since the dining area Is not that big and it just felt like it was would be hard to get servers attention since you're hidden in the room. I like the concept of seeing the whole cafe while eating. They're very well known for their pastries, cakes, and soft serve ice cream. We got a passion fruit, it was just okay as well, it was too sour. I highly recommend their matcha cake though one of the best. They also reposted my photo and credited someone else, I asked them to fix it but they never responded.

Amazing soft serve- mango. Dairy free for all the lactose intolerant besties. Tastes just like real mangos, so tasty and not too sweet.

A cute cafe. Although, seating is a bit cramped and the curtains kind of kill the vibe. Desserts are pretty good though. Matchamisu Cake: A light and fluffy matcha-based tiramisu. Well-balanced flavors and not overly sweet. Soft Serve: A good soft serve. The earl grey flavor tasted a bit low quality, but overall still enjoyable.

Pina Colada Soft Serve

Found this place randomly while searching "desserts near me". What drew me in was the picture of the soft serve, which maybe it's an US thing but I thought it was soft serve ice cream. To my surprise, and kind of disappointment, it was sorbet. The flavor of the week, or month, was pina colada. It was beautifully served with a near perfect swirl and it tasted okay; nothing special. If I were to come back I would definitely try the cookies and cake.

I am in love with the cakes here! So delicate. Not overly sweet. Perfect for my palette. I noticed a lot of people coming to try the soft serve. So might give it a try when it is warmer out.

The best brunch ever! the Cafe part was connected to a cute little shop. everything was delicious from the matcha latte to the brunch food to the pina colada soft serve. Service was great, very friendly and quick! they answered all of our questions and you can order straight from your phone via the online menu. The food came out freshly made and piping hot. I love my potatoes crispy and these were perfectly crisp. bacon was also delicious and crispy. the waffles were soft and airy. matcha latte was large and yummy and just the right amount of sweetness. and the pina colada ice cream was amazing! the portion sizes were huge and you get your money's worth. highly recommend!

Butter Baker Came for a cozy afternoon brunch with the girls and, of course, we over-ordered- everything looked too good to resist. Everyone's been to this place, butttt the strawberry matcha? Absolutely superb. And honestly, every time I come here, the brunch just slaps. So yeah, I'm sorry for posting this basic content... but consider this your official reminder to try Butter Baker if you haven't yet. And if you have? Well, this is your sign to go again And I'm still on the hunt for the best matcha latte so hmu in the dms if you know any good spots We got the: Báhn mì croissant Salmon eggs benny Chocolate strawberry waffles Strawberry matcha latte

Such a cute vibe with beautiful drinks and pastries. Everyone inside was very lively and happy. The service was quick and the treats tasty. There is a small seating area and restroom in the back with water as well.

Blueberry Cassis X Vanilla Soft Serve
Monica M.

This is my second time coming to Butter Baker and their soft serves are always so tasty! Their Blueberry Cassis X Vanilla soft serve was the right balance of tart and sweet! They also change the flavours every month! The quantity was worth the price and the staff were friendly as well! The ambiance was really nice, as they now have a mini market shop where you can buy unique items as well as, a sit down area for dine-in.

A lot of times when we try a sweet shop/pastry place the products are filled with sugar however Asters have found a balance and know how to prepare their stuff. Pastries: If you like chocolate - try the double chocolate cake (it's in the picture, I don't recall the correct name) this is chocolaty, not too sweet, soft but not too soft. If you like mousse, & pistachios - try the pastry on the right from the picture. It is crunchy from the outside, 2nd layer is soft (mousse) and the last layer is nuts/pistachio. If you like Mango (desis you must try this) have their mango sweet which is not in the picture but it's their best seller. It is amazing! Drinks: The mango matcha - again if you like mango, & matcha have this you won't regret it. Mix it properly and enjoy the distinct flavours of both (matcha and mango) it is slightly on a sweeter side though. The barista seems experienced based on the milk texture and the art of the latte. Kudos They have limited dining space so take note of that however there is a huge foodcourt so you can go there. You should also take note of the prices on the pastries, the small double chocolate cake was 10$ however it is clear that they are serving good quality stuff.

The aesthetic and the attention to detail when it comes to these desserts flawless, and exceptional. I enjoyed every single bite of my dessert. It was fluffy and it melted in my mouth, and I wish I could just eat my screen right now just looking at it lol. For drinks, we got hot chocolates, and they had one of the best hot chocolates I've ever tasted, and I'm not exaggerating. It was the perfect drink and taste to eat my dessert. Location: The location is very pretty, but it's pretty casual. The seating is pretty close to other guests in the restaurant or tables of two if I'm not mistaken. This is a perfect place to go with friends or family or on a quick date or by yourself. This place looked like it was located on a main street with street parking, but because I was visiting in Toronto, I'm not sure how the parking works as we took Uber. Service: The service was great, and they were very friendly and answered any questions regarding the desserts on display to help us pick the perfect one for ourselves. They also brought the food to our table, including the drinks. I 100% would go back to this location.

There are only 8 iconic flavours: Chocolate, Vanilla, Pistachio, Caramel, Rose, Orange Blossom, Blackcurrant Violette, and Marie Antoinette tea. Eugénie is an unexpected marriage of textures, with a crunchy biscuit, a melting heart and a crunchy chocolate coating. This Union Station location is only a kiosk, rather than a full patisserie. It opened in Oct 2024. They thought they were only going to be there until Feb 2025, but as of 2025-06-23, they are still there. It is opposite Union Samples. They mostly sell macarons ($4.50 each!) here, but there are also a few bottled drinks, chocolate bars, gift boxes, yule logs, and gift cards. The customer service was good. We remembered this small Laduree cart, so we went to see if it was still there. It was! Success! After a quick look at their many flavors, we opted for the Marie Antoinette ("Two light blue macaron shells filled with a smooth cream infused with Marie-Antoinette tea"). These things are five bucks each (!) but I can't deny that they're completely delicious. The ones we ate were very fresh and packed with flavor. Even though I gobbled it up in about two bites, I didn't regret the cost at all. This is top tier stuff.

Pandesal, cake slices, coffee, cookies, cheesecakes, and a small select option of savoury food as well. For baked goods I walked out with: - Ube cheesecake: it was moist, Ube packed flavour with a hint of creaminess from the cheese. Enjoyed it. And read good reviews about it prior to ordering it so that's why I chose it :) - Ube crinkle cookies: a basic Ube crinkle cookie, not too sweet (which is great) and powdered with sugar on the outside. Ube flavour is mild not too overpowering, moist and fluffy cookie. Would recommend as well! - Spicy chicken empanada- buttery crust, soft and falls apart because the crust is so buttery!! Stuffing was generous, chicken flavourful but I didn't find the inside spicy. One is enough for one sitting. I would like to try other flavours as well. Service - friendly. Fast. Efficient. $$- I would say some of the items are quite pricey for what you get e.g. turon for $5, cake + coffee slice for $10-12, I think that I've found other bakeries to be a little more cost friendly. But assuming because this one is more franchised, Perhaps why prices are higher (?) Would overall recommend this place especially if you'd like to share Filipino sweets culture/food. They do sell cakes and party platters of desserts which is also a bonus. Would recommend to try!

Buns are fairly priced here as well in my opinion with fried chicken sandwiches being less than $4. They also sell whole cakes and slices of cakes which looks really good. Interior of the bakery is beautiful and newly renovated. It's brightly lit and super clean inside. The one cashier cashing me out was friendly and chatty which I enjoyed. Telling me that VIP cards will be available once grand opening happens, but didn't know the exact date of their grand opening yet. Make sure to check out these affordable and tasty buns!
