Door dashed for Xin Xin for dinner. Got here quick. Good portions. Dinner combos come with chicken fried rice and an Eggroll. Dumplings were okay. What I would recommend from Xin Xin is their party trays of teriyaki chicken and house fried rice. Can't go wrong. read more

This is my go to Chinese take out place! The lunch/dinner special combos are affordable and taste exactly how you would think for classic Chinese takeout- oily but delicious and no bad surprises! The chicken wings are popular here for a reason! I usually do DoorDash so I can't say much about the service but always found things packed well. read more

when you walk in , it's simple , here's your napkins and spoon and forks , grab them and go to the counter i got the 4 piece chicken wings w/ fried rice .. let me tell you , i finished the entire plate in the car .. it couldn't wait .. im 2 miles from this restaurant btw , that should tell you the smell from the plate .. incredible .. the fried rice was a bit darker than your typical fried rice .. easily a top 4 fried rice candidate i ever ate .. the chicken wings .. listen , you know they fried it with corn starch it was so crunchy and the meat was juicy , after you pay they ask you for soy/hot/duck sauce .. rip open the hot sauce and pour it over the chicken .. WOOOOO going to order right now (3.9/5) read more

Chicken is very poor quality. Cream cheese wontons, fire. Rice, average. Portions are substantial. Not much to write home about. Will most likely not be going again. read more

I admit it, I judged. I originally came for boneless spare rubs because my husband had to have them and had a very specific type of Chinese place in mind. Order Xin Xin scratched our itch for unfancy Chinese food. Seems like they do good business too, it was bustling. Ambiance wise this isn't the kind of place you eat-in if you can help it. It's a grab and go place which is just fine if you're super hungry because our order was ready 10 minutes after ordering. Husband loved the boneless spare ribs and fried rice. I genuinely liked my Mongolian chicken with white rice, but wowza it was hot! still crushed half of it though. Cream cheese wontons were good, slightly sweet cream cheese. Egg roll was small and unimpressive, only meh. read more

18. Seafood Soup Delightful in the cold weather, very simple and you can add soy sauce but i feel like this is perfect balance for me. mostly how all the vegetables and seafood play a part in adding the natural flavors C18 Nice tangy general tso, and not heavily battered like some other places are. friend rice is good but could use some soy and nice to know that they add chicken in it too! read more

Yessir listening gratitude and grateful,, great food , I have been eating here in many years, live in the area

The food is delicious particularly the hot and sour soup! The order can quick even quicker if you call ahead.

Always enjoyed them but they have minimized the size of their main ingredients . Was disappointed in the size of the chicken

DO NOT EAT HERE!! My family and I got take out half trays on 2/18 and for the past 3 continuous days we've all been throwing up from food poisoning. None of us have been able to eat or even keep anything down since. THEY NEED AN INSPECTION DONE ASAP!!! read more

Xin Xin - Chicken Fried rice & Vegetable Egg Foo Young - Chinese Near Me - Minneapolis, Minnesota

Ordered from here for the first time on Christmas Day and everyone liked it. Good food for the price. If you are expecting excellent high class Chinese food, then you will be disappointed, but if you want good enough food for a good price, then this is place for you. read more

This place is a janky hole in the wall, but it's a good one! Their prices are really good and the food is fairly good as well. It's not the best Chinese food I've had but it is definitely not the worst. I ordered takeout and it was ready in 15 minutes. The takeout is exactly what you would expect it to be. I wasn't the biggest fan of the lo mein, it had a very smoky flavor to it that I did not enjoy, but the chicken fried rice and chicken with mixed veggies was really good!! read more

BELOW AVERAGE food, overloaded with cheap veggies like celery and onions and c grade chicken. Won't order from here again.

Second time coming to the restaurant and man it good, highly recommend going at during lunch service 11:00am to 2:00pm for 6 buck for a good meal ~~if you are broke college student and want decent meal~~ read more

I wasn't all too happy with this place. The rice really had no flavor to me at all. Just plain Jane, I would so much rather stick to house of Hui's for that. I got the sesame chicken and let me just say, if you like shrimp cool get it, but if you're like me who doesn't like shrimp stay far away from the food. Every bite I took into the sesame CHICKEN tasted as if I was eating shrimp. Not sure if there is a lot of cooking going on in the same pots or oil or what, but it tasted fishy and I don't eat sea food nor fish. If you're allergic to those things that might be dangerous too, just in case, maybe you should ask what types of oil they cook with or if they cross contaminate. read more

Decent Chinese food for reasonable prices. Had the egg rolls which were great. The fried rice was pretty good and the orange chicken was good as well. Wasn't disappointed at all. read more

This is the best Chinese food I have had in a long time and I will say the egg foo young is the best I've ever had and the gravy was super good. The fried rice was very good and the shrimp in the fried rice did not have a shrimpy can taste, it was good and they give you a lot and they were good size. Very nice employee. I definitely will be back. read more

I have been eating here since I could remember! It's very classic Asian food. It's always super fast and very reasonably priced! My two favs are the sesame chicken and the shrimp egg fu young, they are both on my other every time. Good lunch special prices too read more

Long time customer. Always preferred the lunch buffet but just recently did a call-and-pick and absolutely loved it. They even sent us FREE WONTONS! So kind and sweet. read more

Every single time I'm here I'm always so so happy. Never been disappointed. They have such delirious food and good service. The spicy chicken fried rice with spicy chicken is unlike anything I've had at Chinese takeout place and it's so good! Their cream cheese wontons are the best I've ever had. You have to come here. Weekday lunches they have a lunch combo bar and for $5.65 you get fried rice or lo mein and two entrees! Best deal ever. You have to come here. You have to try the spicy chicken (it's really not that spicy). Do it! Thank me later. :) read more

Great food every time!! Whenever I visit family in the area always stop by for some food. Especially love their wontons :)

I used to come here often, the more I came here the more I would regret it. The service is just not good. I tend to call in my orders (anywhere I go to avoid waiting) and the woman that answers, and takes your payment and orders inside happens to just have an attitude all the time. Over the phone she yells, I ordered shrimp fried rice and asked for extra shrimp, she asked if I want the $2 extra shrimp? So I asked what are the other options, she yelled "JUST TELL ME HOW MUCH EXTRA SHRIMP YOU WANT"! The food is good but the service is not..long story short I don't give this place my money anymore, especially to be treated that way. read more

Good food and a good price. My favorite is the chicken and mixed veggies with a couple of egg rolls on the side. My go to Chinese takeout.

The workers are very unfriendly. The chicken fried rice tasted very watery and hard. The Cream cheese wontons were runny. The workers seemed irritated when you eat inside. Fried dumplings was chewy and the meat inside tasted fake. I would not Recommend coming here. read more

This has recently become one of my regular takeout restaurants. I always find that the Combo plates are a good deal and the food taste pretty decent considering the location. It has taken me a while to find a Chinese restaurant near Maple Grove that servers good food. Let me tell you, it's a huge challenge. I think Chinese people just tend to gravitate South even if it's only 10-15 miles. lol Ok, so I've tried the following: Spicy Chicken - Not very good too many onions and not very spicy Hunan Chicken - It's a little spicy, but I would've like it to be more so. Good balance of meet and vegetable. Szechuan Beef - Good taste. Would've like it to be hotter. Shrimp w/ Lobster Sauce - Taste is pretty standard. (Note this is a slimy dish) The shrimp was good, but probably would be better with white rice vs. fried. I probably wouldn't recommend ordering as a stand alone dish. Parking during lunch is a hassle. The parking lot is usually full and people around there don't know how to drive. But, that's another story for another time.... Overall, give this place a try if you like Chinese food. read more

Love it!! They fill the box with fried rice - too much in my opinion, but the spicy chicken is awesome. read more

Best Chinese food I've had in so long they are definitely my favorite & only Chinese restaurant to eat at for sure.

Small little chinese take out place with phenomenal food. They make the food right after order and it usually takes about 10-15 minutes depending, so the food is hot and very delicious ! I always order egg fried rice and their chicken. Super yummy. There are also a few tables for those who want to enjoy their food there, but I suggest just ordering out. Portions are large, super delicious, and hot. Small downside is the sometimes the high level of salt in some dishes, but I am sure they are willing to change that if you ask. Food here is better than chinese chain restaurants or buffets. Highly recommend. read more

This is One of the best take out Chinese restaurants I've found. Their chicken wings are a must get! They are crunchy, salty and have something special in them that I cant put my finger on. Come Friday I am always craving their sweet and sour shrimp. They are always willing to make the pork fried rice extra spicy with no extra charge. The portion sizes are very generous and the staff is very friendly. This is a great local place to support. read more

This place is a hidden gem. Yes, it's greasy, salty and typical Chinese food but it is some of the best at very affordable prices! We value healthy meals at home but if we're going to eat out this is one of our favs! Skip that overpriced Asian fusion spot and support this local family run business. I wish they were better about offering gluten free options but other than that they are great! read more

I like restaurants who are what they represent themselves to be and who do a good job of it. I ate at Xin Xin for lunch today and was very pleased. it's a takeout place. At lunch there is a steam table with a glass front/customer side, and someone who will take your order for your choice of two from the seven the "Express Food Bar" items. There is also a display of maybe 20 dish photographs that, presumably, you can order or order ahead. The egg roll was decent, fairly typical of a Chinese restaurant. The fried rice was good and provided in large quantity. The spicy chicken was maybe the best I have ever had. Until today I thought that there was a rule in Chinese kitchens that the chicken pieces had to be overcooked to the point of being balsa wood. Not so at Xin Xin! The chicken was properly cooked, moist, and tender. Good for them. Four stars instead of five because of the limited and unadventurous Food Bar menu. I could not see coming here on a regular basis because it would quickly become boring. Better would have two of the seven items as rotating daily specials. Moo Shu Pork anyone? Pot Stickers? Or (gasp!) Ma Yi Shang Shu? Go here. You'll like it. read more

They must have changed owner or chef. The food doesn't taste as good as before and I have been coming here for years. They need to stick with their old ways of doing things. Also doesn't taste as fresh at times. read more

Based on your typical American Chinese fast food, this place takes the cake. The food is hot, fresh, and deliciously greasy. Keep in mind this is a to-go restaurant, I certainly wouldn't dine-in. Would you dine-in at a dominos if they had a couple card tables? I think not. And in reference to the reviews complaining about the lady taking the orders, are you serious? She's just as nice as any other person I've ever met. She can actually be pretty funny at times. She's just short on the phone because she's trying to streamline the service, and if you haven't been here, you'll realize the phone rings non stop with orders regardless of the time of day. She reminds me of a nicer version of Seinfeld's soup Nazi.....90s throwback reference. Anyways, my tips. 1. Grab a paper menu while you're there, you'll want it next time you call in an order. 2. Order beef lo mein, just do it. 3. Always always always ask for hot chili oil when she asks if you want any sauce. You're welcome. read more

The food was bland, bland, bland. Tasted canned and flavorless. There was a ton of food, but it wasn't good enough that we'd want to eat it as leftovers. We love Chinese food. Our kids love Chinese food. This was just not good. read more

Xin Xin is the worst Chinese food ever, not to mention my order was wrong. Placed my order and repeated it, for my own security since I new their was a language barrier. As I picked up my food, the order was repeated to me, the lady said Lo Mein and I said no! It should be Chow Mein? She corrected herself and said it is Chow Mein, $34.25 dollars later. I get home to have dinner with some guests and long behold NO, Chow Mein instead I was giving something with what seemed 70% onions and chicken. Of course my order was wrong and the food was not good at all. I will not be back, and of course do not recommend this place. read more
