    Salt and Pepper Chicken Wings

I've spotted this restaurant a lot whenever I'm next door at Sunrise getting groceries so I tried it one day for lunch. I got the salt and pepper chicken, sesame noodles, and the lunch portion vegetable fried rice. Delicious! It lasted me a few meals. Everything was flavorful. The sesame noodles weren't spicy, although it had a chili pepper next to it on the menu. The salt and pepper chicken had jalapeños which gave them a nice kick! I would definitely order more items from the menu. Lots of good stuff! A good handful of tables in here as well. But they seem to get a mix of people dining in and getting takeout.

Delicious and AUTHENTIC Chinese food beside Sunrise Asian Supermarket! They have a more Americanized menu with things like General Tso's and Honey Chicken, but they also have an authentic Chinese menu. (If they don't give you the full menu when you arrive, definitely ask for it!) My partner is Taiwanese and also loves their food. We have especially enjoyed the pork intestine dishes and whole tilapia dish, which comes out boiling on a heated, intricate stand. The interior is quite simple and narrow, but not in a bad way. There is a main room that you enter and a slightly larger room connected to the outside that I believe they use for larger parties and when the main room is full. The second room has at least one rotating table for sharing dishes. Overall, delicious place whether you're looking for a taste of home or looking to try something new!

Looking for some authentic Chinese food, Xin Wei Kitchen should be in your list. They have a good mix of spicy and non spicy dishes. If you are ordering anything that have the pepper marked by the menu item, ensure to confirm if you could adjust the spicy level . My favorite will be the Salt and Pepper Pork Ribs. The pork ribs are coated with a slight breading which is crispy. It also help to lock in all the moisture and the meat is very tender.

Appears to be quite authentic. Nice fun vibe in the restaurant too. Dishes were all made fresh and the menu has some items I've never had the pleasure of trying yet (duck blood, bull frog). We got the fish stew, eggplant (both must gets), chili oil dumplings, and mapo tofu. Awesome spot!

Great food! It was a Thai restaurant before but they bought it almost two years ago. It was pretty small but the food was awesome! Always order carry out from here just because don't have time to eat there. But if you want some authentic Chinese food, this is a good place.

OMG this was so good. After a gruesome day of moving to our new place there was no way anyone was going to cook. Don't even know where anything is so takeout it was. We were in the mood for Chinese. Being unfamiliar with the area, I looked on line and there plenty of places with even more warnings. We just wanted basic Chinese American food and the reviews were good. So we gave it a try and we're glad we did. We went all basic: spring rolls, combination fried rice, Singapore noodles and General Tso. Well, everything was so nicely prepared and effin' delicious. Rice was tasty, packed with ingredients, plenty of sesame flavor but not oily at all. The noodles were springy, spicy with plenty of plump shrimp and moist chicken. The General conquered! I love General Tso but locally it tends to be a soggy sweet mess of chewy dry chicken. Not this general, batter held up. I Ely to a spicy/sweet sauce, chicken was, again, tender and moist. I cannot wait to go back. I like trying different things and am looking forward to try the authentic Chinese menu. I don't think I can try the bullfrog but the fried intestines are definitely worth a try. Give Xin Wei Kitchen a try. I'm glad we did (almost didn't because I was not a fan of the "Thai" place that was at this location).

Surprised those place doesn't have more reviews, but it was delicious! Got takeout on Christmas. The hot and sour soup was the best I've had in a while!! Definitely will be back.

    Kung Pao Chicken.

I tried this place again. This is maybe the third time recently. I had enjoyed the food when they first opened, including the Hot & Sour Soup. Sadly, the food seems to be entirely different now. While there was some spice in the Hot & Sour soup, there was very little else. No sour, very few other items. Just very little flavor . And yet, it was more flavorful than the Kung Pao, which could have used a bit of salt. Sadly, the only server disappeared after dropping off my food and didn't reappear until she brought my check. This is so sad for me, since this restaurant is about two blocks from where I live. I hate saying bad things about small businesses, but they have made this so difficult. It should be said that I have eaten here during the day. Many restaurants have different cooks at night.

When I walked in the atmosphere was great, I could smell good food and heard conversations. There's a large area with large round tables to right and to the left are booths and almost all of them were full. The menu was a mix of Americanized Chinese, traditional Chinese and included Dim Sum as well. There were a number of dishes we didn't know much about and there were dishes being enjoyed by other customers that looked delicious. The wait staff was more than happy to explain the dishes and/or show us on the menu what someone was eating. They took very good care of us and shared the tasks of bringing our food, filling water, and just checking in. Now the food. The food came out very quickly! We all received a well filled bowl of rice. First out was the string beans, perfectly cooked, not droopy, and the flavors of garlic and hot peppers. Even though the peppers were there the heat was not overpowering at all. Next was the shredded pork with garlic sauce. The textures of the pork and bamboo shoots were a nice contrast and the sauce was perfectly balanced and craveable. The special grilled lamb, I was told, was some of the best in the city. It was tender and well spiced. Even when he said he was full he just couldn't stop eating it. For the dim sum order we got the shrimp dumplings, soup dumplings, scallion pancake, and sesame balls and they brought a soy sauce and a chili oil with them. The shrimp dumplings were tender but the dough was pretty sticky. I think this is normal and they were tasty with some of the oil on them. The scallion pancakes were very thin and gummy, this is the only thing we ordered that I would not get again. The soup dumplings were very small but packed a lot of flavor. The dough did stick together a bit so unfortunately some of the soup did leak out. The sesame balls were the hit and we're just the right amount of sweetness that we considered them desert. They were large, at least 2" in size, with a wonderful sesame seed covered exterior and a soft, sweet center. Chuan Jiang Hao Zi is a wonderful somewhat hidden gem. If you want traditional Chinese cuisine including all the different offal they have it and I would totally try it here over anyone else if I was brave enough. Portions were a good size for the price. I highly recommend checking them out!

I had the Kung Pao Chicken & it was by far the best I'd ever eaten. So many layers of flavor & heat. (a bit spicy for me, but I struggled through & loved every bite) Will definitely be back to explore some of the more "exotic" dishes on the menu. (Wasn't feeling to adventurous this trip) The restaurant was well decorated & the staff took great care of us. (saw a large selection of dumplings at this place too.....definitely be back to try those)

We were greeted and seated quickly and service was very friendly. As we were hungry, we took a mi Ute to decide what to order. We had planned on storm fish, but made a last minute decision to Sichuan sliced beef (we loveeee a numbing pepper!) with starts of egg roll and spicy wontons. Seriously those wontons are one of the best things in the whole city. They're SO good I could eat a few orders of those alone and be happy. Egg rolls are nice, but just a simple egg roll. Nicely crispy and tasty with the spicy mustard. The Sichuan sliced beef was the perfect thing for a chilly rainy dinner. We love spicy so I'm a bad judge of heat level, but this is spicy but a numbing spicy. Lovely spooned over steamed rice. The cabbage and bean sprouts were my favorite bits in this dish because they added a crunch. Might ask for extra next time!

There is plenty of lights in order to see the extra large menu that looks more like a coloring book. The women who took our order had problems understanding English from the looks of it. One person at my table wanted to exchange rice for noodles but she didn't seem to understand. The food was very good but a bit expensive but worth it. Because they give you plenty. We had to take some home with us. I would go back to Chilispot they did a great job in service and in taste.

Plus, I figured hibachi can take awhile, and I usually don't have a long time for lunch. Today I had a little more time, and I made a point to head over. It is a bit out of the commercial sprawl at the corner. Look for the food truck, that's the first thing I saw, and it helped me find where to turn in. I wasn't sure if there would be dine in, but there is, plenty of seating inside and out. Inside there are seats at the counter, plus booths, plus I think a couple tables. Menu is pretty basic: hibachi and a few sides. I got steak and chicken, with fried rice, and you pick two vegetables so I picked cabbage and bean sprouts. You get a Yum Yum sauce, and you can add others, but I didn't need them. And the sauce container they gave me was plenty big. The steak was tender and perfectly cooked, the chicken was tender and flavorful, cooked in a nice sauce. The fried rice was great. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. And it all came out in about five minutes. They had a steady stream of carry out customers, but they still got mine on the grill, apparently as soon as I ordered it. Fast and good, and competitively priced for hibachi. A big portion, but not a huge, two days' worth of leftovers portion. But I was stuffed and couldn't finish it all. When I saw the drink cooler with just water and a few juices, I figured I'd have to go with those, but they do have fountain drinks. And they actually have a pretty good variety, cola, diet cola, cream soda, blueberry, cherry I think, and a few others. Anyway, several pleasant surprises, the food lived up to its reputation, I was in and out fast, and for not a whole lot of money in this day and age. I will be back.
