    Worse online service. Impossible to talk with a person. They make posting a comment also difficult.

Obviously they sell Dish Network and personally I like Dish more than DirecTV. Usually they can save you money but it only lasts for a year or 2. Pros: All installations are performed by Dish Network Corporate which is nice. Personally I like the idea of the company but did not feel like all promises were met for me as an employee. I was cheated out of $1,000 because one of the VP's of the accompany assumed he knew what was going on with my life and that because the manager who brought me on quit I had quit too. So he kept the back end of my holdback check. Pay scale for sales reps is tipped in favor of the company more than the reps. The reps very rarely will get payed the full value of what they are shown when signing up. There are always bad people in sales but there are also always good people. You just have to feel it out. Personally....I feel you might as well go through Dish Network Corporate. They won't charge you an extra $50 fee. Reps with this company have to charge that to make money.

He arrived in a sedan- no work van or ladders so I was immediately suspicious. Wanted to know when our equipment had last been replaced. Was asking for model numbers, etc. I think he thought I'd just say "Oh I don't know, let's go inside and look." At first he presented himself like he was working for DirecTV, it was only when I asked him outright "Who do you work for?" he admitted it was a company called Caliber. I told him he was not going into my house so then he switched to a high-pressure fear mongering tactic and told me this fantastic story that DirecTV had been sold to some investment group who planned to raise prices $50 to $100 per month over our current rate. And that they wanted to eliminate local channels and force all the customers over to streaming only. That DirecTV was in legal trouble and owed billions of dollars. But it was okay, because he could get me a "better deal." I finally got him to leave and called DirecTV to find out everything he said was a complete lie. Then I did a bit of research on this company called Caliber and it seems they go-between between consumers and Dish Network? If I wanted Dish I'd call them directly, no one needs a third party company involved. The fact that he was lying and putting a scammy high pressure fear-based sales pitch on me proves that this company is not trustworthy. So Logan from Caliber, let's not meet again.

    I too am a DirecTV customer and signed up through New Star. I had a very different experience with…read moreboth DirecTv and NewStar. I was having trouble with getting my elderly V.A uncle used to where his channels were at (we get so many more than DISH! and channels we actually watch). I lost my paperwork and couldn't find the number for NewStar and just searched for the DirecTv number online. I called into DiredTv wanting some help with figuring out what to do and I could barely understand the agent on the line (language barrier) and they basically said they would have to send a technician out to me and it would cost me $40-$99. I declined, because I just don't have the money for that. Thought I was just stuck and very dissapointed. One week later I got a follow up call from NewStar just to see how I was liking my New DirecTv sytem. Let me say I am pretty embarrassed at how I treated the young lady on the phone. I vented and was very upset and she didn't interrupt me even once! She listen ACTUALLY LISTENED. Then she fixed it all right over the phone, I didn't even need a technician and that saved me time and money right there! She went through step by step with my uncle of making a favorites list and with the protection plan I had got from them they were able to send me out a remote that fit my uncles needs even better, for free ($15 plus shipping if I didn't have that protection plan). Remote got to us in 2 days and they had already setup a favorites list with my uncle and he was happier than he had ever been in his 80 years of different tv services (he is now deceased). I wish I had the name of that young lady and I hope she sees this review. To that agent if you do see this review I want to thank you and apologize again for how poorly I treated you on the phone. The main thing I have learned through this experience is to go through a authorized dealer for anything I can! Even when I didn't know it they had my back, THANK YOU New Star!!!!!

    WARNING- BEWARE: Third party service company for ATT/Direct TV, Xcite is a rip-off!…read more We were serviced yesterday with an installation of a dish by Xcite. The sales person here in Simi Valley, California is named Jaime and the last "Supervisor" I spoke with yesterday is named Brandon. The service we signed up for and the dish that was installed was not the dish designed for the package we signed up for. The installer who came to our house spoke very little English and could not tell me why the channels we were signed up for were not available on the dish which was installed. This is all happening just before 3 p.m. Fast forward to later in the afternoon after repeated attempts to speak with someone from the company on the phone numbers provided by the installer, I eventually reached the sales person Jaime. Jamie went onto then inform me that the dish needed to receive the channels we signed up for was "Back-ordered" and would not be available to be installed in place of what was now installed on our roof. Needless to say I was fully frustrated to be told after the fact that the installed dish was not the dish which should have been installed. After repeated request to the installer and several conversations with the the sales person Jaime, a customer service rep named Ashley, a female supervisor whose name I cannot remember and finally Brandon nothing was resolved beyond being told the service would be disconnected by 12 midnight and that a "Recovery Kit" return box would be provided to return the equipment. I repeatedly requested that the equipment be disconnected by the installer and that the dish be removed. He said he could not do anything without the supervisor's approval which he was waiting to hear back from. At one point I back inside my house to handle a call and when I returned outside to where the rep had been waiting, her had collected his gear and departed without word. When I called back and spoke with Brandon again he said he had told the rep to leave, and that they were prohibited by their agreement with ATT & Direct T.V., from removing equipment which they had installed. Brandon even attempted to blame me and say that the rep felt fearful and attempted to place blame upon me. He steadfastly refused to provide his last name, a dispute claim number and repeatedly would not provide me with the information as to which agency gave them licence to conduct business here in the state of California. I eventually, after several attempts to reach someone with Direct T.V., was able to speak with to customer service reps with Direct T.V. I was on the phone with them until well after 8 p.m., and again this afternoon for well over an hour. My damage claim number has been provided to me by an exemplary customer service supervisor, Alex in the Philippines call center for Direct TV. An escalation team investigation is being launched. I will be sure to follow up with further details as things unfold. They messed around with the wrong person in me and anyone contacted by EXCITE should turn them away without haste. P.S., I have copied this post and I will be posting it onto both ATT & Direct TV, YELP social media pages along with contacting the BBB and website as well.

The salesman explained that they were doing a promotion where in if you switch from U-verse to Direct TV the cost to install would be only $100 and your new "bundled" price for TV, Internet and home phone would run only $65 a month. I explained that I am on the employee/retiree program through AT&T and I get a discount on my bill as long as I stay bundled. The salesman said that this is way the cost to me was so low. He stated that since Direct TV is part of AT&T that I would still be on the bundled plan and receiving my discounts. Soooo the installer shows up and installs all my new equipment dish, boxes and remotes. As I am on the phone to their customer service area about my satisfaction with the install the installer stepped out to his car to get my paperwork and just drove off. I was left with ZERO paperwork from him. I still had my receipt from the order where it states I paid $100 on my ATM card for the install and equipment so I started calling. AT&T said no way are they working with this company or this Direct TV program to do bundle deals for employees or retirees in my area. Direct TV said too bad, I signed a contract. Actually I didn't someone else did because I couldn't be there. I checked my bank and they actually took over $150 out, WOW, robbed lately?? I called DTV again and was told they could do nothing, too bad I signed a contract and the woman actually said I couldn't do anything because they now had my card number and the payments would automatically come out of my account. I told them to just come get all their equipment and cancel my order. they said they would shut off my service and send me a bill, FOR WHAT?????? What a joke. Short story long... In 18 hours I went from happy AT&T U-verse bundle customer to a cheated Ecite/Direct TV customer back to a scared AT&T U-verse customer. I have no clue what tomorrow holds but they said I will have to pay. BEWARE is was all a scam!!!
